Re: Navi's Training

Chakra Training:
Chakra, one of the most powerful tools of being a ninja was next on the list of things that Navi needed training in. With a slightly better control and skill level he would be able to perform C-level jutsu and ninja techniques. Navi had a powerful specialty in ninjutsu and chakra is the most important tool to use any jutsu. Chakra was not something he struggled in though. He had chakra power levels above almost everyone in his class and had reserves of chakra above everyone in his league. Even if it was his strongest asset, it needed to be even better then it was. If he was able to make it even stronger soon it would be almost Chunin level. Plus a higher chakra meant he could use it more in battle to strengthen his Taijutsu, which definitely always needed work. Navi flung the covers off of himself and sat up in bed. He had trained hard as a student but now he had to face the reality that it was time to train as if he was a Genin. That meant harder training then ever before. He stood up and threw on his clothes. At this rate his chakra power level would increase to do better techniques. He would need to rely on more powerful jutsu, which meant no more academy level tricks to try to get an edge. Navi opened the door and started down the streets of the Leaf Village. It was as quiet in the streets of Konoha as it always was, the walk to the training field was a tranquil experience. When Navi finally arrived it was still just before the sun would come up, giving him plenty of time to have a full day of training. He had begun planning out his day for how to train since the beginning of the walk. At the training field he sat down in the middle of the grass clearing and began to meditate. He crossed his legs and readied his favorite handsign: Tiger. He focused his chakra and closed his eyes. After a long time of sitting in the clearing he felt his power level increasing. If he needed to he could use about one C-rank jutsu. If he did though, he wouldn't have hardly any chakra left. Instead he could use a few D-Rank jutsu and maybe have the chakra left for a few E-Ranks. Navi contemplated his chakra mastery while sitting and meditating. He brought forth his chakra to the outside of his body until he had concentrated so much of it that his entire body glowed blue with a faint outline of chakra. Power coarsed through his veins as he slowly stood up. He wondered how strong he had become at what he could do with this much chakra focused together. It was time to try it out “Bushin no Jutsu.” he said, stressing each word in unison with the hand sign. In a massive puff of smoke he created a crowd of clones that surrounded him. He hesitated before quickly counting each of the clones. Thirty-eight in total, a large crowd of him where it would be almost impossible him without first destroying all the clones. In a way he had his first genjutsu type style. With this many clones it would be very difficult to spot the real him. If a foe tried to fight the crowd, It would be easy for the real him to attack from behind or ambush. Navi thought more deeply about this technique though. He had already used an immense amount of chakra to perform it, if an enemy ninja just through a lot of shuriken into the crowd it wouldn't be hard to destroy most of his clones and quickly spot him. Navi scrapped the idea, it was better to use the techniques he had for more conventional purposes, not waste chakra to try to squeeze some other use out of them. Navi stepped back and released all of his clones. Even after that display he still had a small reserve of chakra left. It would be worth using it up to get in the full extent of training. Repeating his past training technique he began kicking the old tree he used to train on. He kicked it hard until a flurry of leaves fell, and similar to before he performed the substitution jutsu on each one that fell on him. He performed the substitution jutsu over and over for the next few hours. Eventually he had performed substitution with an extremely small out of chakra and learned to perform the jutsu effectively. He was able to cast the jutsu fifty times. At the end of the training he was panting heavily with almost no feeling in his body. He knew his limit now, and he also knew had limit had just increased after practicing. Right now he felt like was running on fumes. If he tried to use any more jutsu he would probably pass out. Unlike usual days of training Navi still had a few hours left in the day, so he decided to pay a visit to the academy. While sitting in an academy desk and resting he listened intently to lectures on chakra control and handsigns. They were beginner courses and he got a few looks from the students in the room, but the lectures were a good refresher for him. The instructer complimented him about his graduation to Genin and commended him for listening to more lectures on his own accord. To tell the truth Navi didn't particularly like lectures, but he had a training regiment to keep and casting more jutsu wasn't an option for him. The lecture was over and Navi quickly left the room before any students started asking questions. He made sure his headband was tied tightly around his forehead and continued walking the streets. He played with the information he had re-learned in his head while walking the streets. Chakra was an incredible power to have, the more he learned about it the more he was astonished. There were 5 elements he could master, unfortunately he only had the ability to use the ones under the fire elements jurisdiction. The most interesting thing he had learned today was that it was possible to uncover another element. He wondered what jutsu he could combine with his fire skill if he learned another element. A fire and earth combination could be a potent use of jutsu, one to trap and the other to ignite. Fire and lightning would also be an impressive combination. Lightning would give him incredible speed and power and fire would be perfect to ignite an area while in combat. On further thought lightning could also be used to counter water, the counter to his element of fire. With a combination of Fire and Lightning he would be very difficult, if not impossible to counter. His mind began to imagine the jutsu he would be able to pull off with such an awesome combination. Most of what his mind came up with couldn't be pulled off without at least a B-rank efficiency. After today he would have a C-Rank efficiency at best. Even with that sort of power he wouldn't want to cast such powerful jutsu, it would be too heavy of a toll on his chakra. He wouldn't be able to specialize in another element until his capabilty and powers far exceeded his current ability. This would be something he would have to ponder another time. For now he headed home to resume his training on another day.
Day 2 (Charkra Training):
Navi realized that Chakra was his best trait, but also the one he needed the most work on. If a battle boiled down to Taijutsu he would be beaten by those with a natural talent for it. He needed to work on his natural talent: the ability to perform ninjutsu with skill and control. This meant increasing his power level and increasing his chakra reserves. Navi would train so hard at his jutsu that he would have the ability to perform Chunin level techniques. Besides the measure of his strength would be reinforced by his chakra. Everything in combat he did, whether it was genjutsu and taijutsu or even his preferred style of ninjutsu, would take of chakra. Which meant the strength of himself as a ninja relied completely and entirely on his chakra level. Other attributes were important, but chakra was by far the most important. Navi contemplated this while walking down the streets of the leaf village. He always liked to contemplate and analyze his power level in his ninja career. Navi had talked to a proctor at the academy to assist him with his chakra training. It was none other then Mr. Uchigawa, the proctor during his genin exam, and a powerful jounin of the leaf village. When Navi finally arrived at the academy he was there grading papers but ready to train him. When he talked to Mr. Uchigawa Navi told him he didn't have long to trade him, but he would be happy to offer some guidance. The teacher told him to start to build his chakra and then began to observe him closely. Navi nodded and clasped his hands together to form the Tiger handsign. He built his chakra up until he glowed with an extremely faint blue outline. His teacher was impressed and was willing to give him some pointers and tips. “Build up chakra before creating the handsign” he began “a handsign is a way to focus and release chakra, focusing your power slightly before each hand seal will make your jutsu more efficient”. Navi nodded and patiently listened to everything his teacher said. Mr. Uchigawa continued: “Next begin by focusing your chakra from the center of your stomach outwards, and distribute it in your body where ever it needs to be directed.” He continued his explanation “Although you have chakra veins all through your body, the center of your stomach is where the core of your chakra begins. If you are able to focus on your chest and push your chakra outward, you will be able to have better control and power to focus with.” Navi thanked Mr. Uchigawa for his guidance and bowed to him. The teacher wished him luck and told him that he had to return to his studies. Navi returned to the training field to practice his new technique. He performed jutsu now with ease and was able to use less chakra and thereby increase his reserve of it. With Mr. Uchigawa's guidance Navi tried the clone jutsu with his new focusing technique. This time he was able to hold fifty clones with a much greater ease. He dispelled them quickly as not too waste chakra. Next was substitution. Same technique as before, shake the tree and dodge the leaves. It was coming easily to him and even though his chakra was depleting quickly, he could feel his control was strengthened. Even the transformation jutsu had become easier for him to perform, not only did he transform into each student in his old class, but also every person he passed that day and every person he saw on the training field. A realization struck Navi. His jutsu were becoming so easy for him to perform that they were hardly taking up any chakra at all unless they were used excessively. They were E-rank jutsu, and Navi desperately needed something stronger to work with. Something he could use to burn up chakra while training and get him out of a tough situation in battle. A C-rank, or a D-rank at the very least. He didn't know where to start. Focusing on his training became more and more difficult when he realized how weak of a ninja he was with his current jutsu. Who cared how much chakra he had if he didn't have any jutsu to use it on? Navi pondered for a bit and resolved that he would need to come up with a fire jutsu for the next phase of his training. Then it hit him, the Uchiha clan had performed fire jutsu in front of him all the time, it was there clan element after all. He had memorized the handsigns from watching them train. It wouldn't be too difficult to replicate the technique, the hard part would be teaching himself. The other problem was that fire jutsu took up a notorious amount of Chakra. If he was forced to use it, he had better hope it was effective. Even so, Navi yearned for the ability to learn a new technique and set to work to teach himself. To start he remembered the handsigns necessary to perform various fire techniques. He experimented with releasing different levels of chakra and took note of the result. He wasn't able to create fire yet, but he felt progress as he trained. Eventually Navi got tired and decided to call it a day. He took note of the stances he used and the handsigns he remembered so he could continue his progress where he left off the next day. Navi began to head home down the streets of the leaf village and contemplate his progress. He had no doubt become a stronger ninja after today. This was benchmark progress and a step towards competing in the Chunin exams. He would make everyone in the village hidden in the leaves proud with his fiery jutsu and hotter ambition.

Health and Defense Training:
After so much chakra training, and even several regiments of speed and strength training, Navi had become a formidable opponent and could deal serious damage to his target. He had begun to realize that in combat, he wouldn't always be the one to be able to deal serious damage. If he was to survive as a ninja in a survival situation, he would need to learn to defend himself. His first step was creating a basic clone to throw kunai at him. He would stay in one place and move like the swaying grass to dodge each blade. He would use no energy to effortlessly dodge each attack. This was a technique he learned from his friend Akina, and he mirrored her movements. Eventually he had focused hard enough to be able to brush them out of the way and eventually he even caught one that was flying towards his head. He had gotten a little cut up from the time the dodge was too narrow, but he had become faster at dodging and more likely to survive each move. Next he took out his own kunai out of a pouch attached to his thigh. He spun the knife around his finger and prepared for the next attack. A weapon felt so much more natural in his hands and when the next attack came he was able to knock it out of the air with the weapon in his hand. Deflecting each blow expertly until being able to knock away an attack with a knife became a natural movement. One attack came faster and harder then the others, and by deflecting it he had also knocked the kunai out of his hand. Navi thought about what had happened. If an enemy ninja throwed with enough force, or a chakra infused throw, his kunai would be knocked out of his hand to try and deflect it. He quickly came up with a solution. He unraveled some of the wire he had and tied the kunai to his hand. He tried again, knocking each kunai out of the air. It fit nicely in his hand, and even when very hard throws that would normally disarm him came towards him, he was able to knock them out of the air using the new leverage he had with a kunai tied to his hand. After enough reps to where it felt natural to him, he untied his hand and put the wire back in his pocket, then put his kunai back in its holster. Now it was time for the final method. The ninjato he had bought was in its sheath strapped to his back. He drew the sword and held the hilt with both hands. When the attacks came he effortlessly hit each kunai out of the air with a sweeping slash with his sword. Using this sword made him feel faster and his strength felt more effective. He had the clone throw projectiles at him faster and he would quickly knock each out of the air effortlessly. Using speed for his advantage came more naturally then using his strength. This helped his dodges work better then his blocks. He had his clone draw his ninjato and mirror his movements. He swung and clashed with his clone learning to block each sword strike that was swung at him. Each slice he parried made him stronger through experience. After a few easy parries Navi countered his clone's attack and stuck his clone through the chest his his sword. It disappeared in a puff of smoke and Navi rested his arms. Then he placed the sword back in the sheath on his back, sliding it into place. He had learned defense with better grace with his body and weapons. With his growing ability in defense he would learn to survive easier through dodging and speed. Next would come his ability to survive attacks to his body. At times when he was taking damage or under attack he could twist his body to take less damage and learn too survive longer by guiding damage being dealt away from his major organs. Split second decisions like that would keep him alive longer, and give his body a chance to heal. To do this he would need to learn the human body on closer inspection to know how to protect the key points of himself. Doing this would mean he could take more damage without going down. He had already spent enough time today working on his defense, he would go home and continue his training tomorrow. Navi walked the streets of the leaf village as night fell and contemplated his new training regiment. He would be home soon and fall asleep quickly, because he had to get up early tomorrow.
Day 2:
He had begun to realize that in combat, he wouldn't always be the one to be able to deal serious damage. If he was to survive as a ninja in a survival situation, he would need to learn to defend himself. This time he didn't head to the training field though, he headed to the hospital. It was the best place to learn the human body and all of its weaknesses. When he arrived he was free to walk around the hospital, and through the window in the doors he would watch surgeries take place. He took special note of how people got injured and learned where each of the organs were and how much punishment they could take. Navi took a mental note of each bit of information he learned and tried to think about all of it in general. With the information he was learning he realized that this meant he would need to change his defensive stance and posture. Navi headed to the training field with the new information he had discovered and practiced again. After enough reps to where it felt natural to him, he untied his hand and put the wire back in his pocket, then put his kunai back in its holster. Now it was time for the next method. The ninjato he had bought was in its sheath strapped to his back. He drew the sword and held the hilt with both hands, striking the defensive stance he learned again. This added with his new defensive stance ability would make his combat prowness more effective. He had his clone draw his ninjato and mirror his movements. He swung and clashed with his clone learning to block each sword strike that was swung at him. Each slice he parried made him stronger through experience. After a few easy parries Navi countered his clone's attack and stuck his clone through the chest his his sword. He had mirrored the same training he had done the previous day, just with a different stance. After he finished his regiment he headed back to the hospital, he needed to learn pressure points to defend against Taijutsu, although on second thought it might just be easier to ask Akina for guidance. Her byakugan could pick up the pressure points on the human body as well. At the hospital Navi learned little about pressure points. When he asked around, the medical core simply recommended a book to go and buy to learn the pressure points of the human body. The book cost all of the money he had, so Navi had reservations about buying it. Instead Navi decided to head back to the training field. He didn't feel strong enough yet, he excelled in other areas, but felt outclassed in defense. Other genin would be able to take a better beating then he could, even if he could deal out more damage. He was exhausted but he had no other choice, he was determined the reach a new landmark in his ability.
Day 3:
Navi had talked to instructors and proctors for the Chunin exam. Most of them told him the same thing, some useless petty advice like “Do your best” or “Train hard”. But one man gave him a small tip that was invaluable. “Beyond strength, control your chakra, hone your defense and focus on survival”. The wisdom came from none other then the respectable and honorable Mr. Uchigawa. Defense in survival situations would be on the Chunin exam? This meant that he would need to train harder then ever. Dodging was important, but he needed to be able to take a beating and keep standing, it was time to step up his training and do something crazy. Navi thanked Mr. Uchigawa for his wisdom and headed off to the training field. It was time to advance his regiment even more, When he arrived at the training he field he had one goal in mind. Navi needed to learn to take a beating, by giving himself a beating. Navi made two clones for the sole purpose of letting them beat him up. Navi wouldn't dodge there attacks. He wouldn't back down, and his only defense would be through blocking. They began punching and kicking him. He didn't put up his hands, he just exposed his chest and took the beating as it came. Punch after punch hit his head and kick after kick slammed forward into his body. He wouldn't quit, he needed to be able to deal with taijutsu and brush it off. After a few more kicks hit home Navi couldn't deal with it anymore. He still was in pain, and his whole body ached as he winced in agony. He wouldn't dodge though, he told himself he wouldn't from the beginning of the exercise. He held up his arms and shove off every attack. Blocking each blow was difficult and only began to numb the pain. After another hour of the brutal display he was on the ground on his back, coughing up blood and bruised horribly. No permanent damage was done, but Navi felt out of commission. He blocked and defended himself while lying flat on his back. Desperately forcing the last few minutes of training as his clones beat him to a pulp. When Navi finally couldn't hold out anymore he dispelled the jutsu. It required more then just all of his strength to get back and stand up. He had to stand up. Anyone can get beat up, but the purpose of his training was to get beat up and be able to stand up and be ready to fight. He had to endure the pain, not just take it. What could do though? He couldn't stand up with his current strength. In order to get up he reinforced his joints and muscles with chakra. He focused his chakra and stood up slowly. When he finally stood up on two legs he vomited on the grass in front of him. It took every ounce of his strength and a significant amount of chakra for him to walk home. He got horrified looks for the mess he must have looked like while walking down the streets of the leaf village. When he finally got home he collapsed and went to sleep.

Re: Navi's Training

Speed Training:
Navi was assigned to Konoha Team 7, and therefore could not afford to let up for even a second. He needed to be the best Shinobi on his team. He realized he could have teammates that had bloodlines, and he had to be the one with the most talent, the most powerful shinobi he could be. Only then could he hope to save his comrades when they needed him and guarantee his teammates success. If he needed to save his teammates it meant being at their side in an instant. It was for that reason that Navi decided to train his speed. A fast reaction and faster ability to strike had to be key to victory. He needed to be as fast as a Hyuga and as ruthless as an Uchiha. This time he would start with speed. Navi began with the simple exercise he had completed on his first regiment, running laps around the training field. This was all very simple to him. He needed reevaluate himself for a technique to build up speed. He walked over and across the training field to the dummy. He started up the dummy training with a kunai, his preferred weapon of choice. Fortunately he had recently bought two of his own kunai for training with and fighting. Eventually he would have to buy more, but for now this would serve its purpose nicely. Navi started the training his his knife, slashing the target as fast as he could, manipulating his arm and leg movements to figure out which one was the fastest. In the world of ninja combat the smallest fraction of a second meant victory or defeat, and even life or death. When he found the quickest and most comfortable style, he practiced it endlessly. He would need to learn how to make his strikes stronger, but for now it was all about the speed of his flurry. After another 500 or so reps, Navi stepped back and surveyed his work, panting heavily. He had completely cut up his target, while catching his breath he spun the knife around his finger. Navi sighed and decided to move on to the next phase of his training. He took out the ninja wire he had bought and tied it too the loops at the end of both of his kunai. It was time to practice his new technique, a D-rank move that would take a lot of training, and something he had learned from the Uchiha clan that when combined with Fire combos, was deadly powerful. If he learned to master it killing a chunin or even a weak or ambushed jounin would be entirely capable. When he had finished tieing the wire to both knives he tied it around his index fingers on both of his hands. Now he was ready, he threw the knifes at the dummy at the same time and manipulated the trajectory with his fingers. With his new technique he was able to loop the knives around the target effectively lassoing the dummy with wire. His target was now completely immobilized by a loop of ninja wire. He let the dummy go and tried it again, learning to tie up each target faster with his manipulation technique. He even created clones that would run as moving targets. When he threw both kunai he learned how to cut off their escape with the wire and instantaneously bind them. He could even tighten the wire or loosen the wire depending on how he moved his fingers. The movement was very slight and he could easily perform this technique with only one hand if he had enough practice. He could even do it while making handsigns if he so chose. The technique would be very helpful and Navi was excited to perfect it. But this was only the first move of his style. He would learn a new jutsu soon after he was sure he perfected the Manipulated Shuriken technique. Navi was only scratching the surface before, he learned that he could also swing from tree to tree if he lassoed a branch. It was a grappling tool, binding tool, and soon, a conductor for a fire jutsu. Even more strategies would open up when he bought more wire, or even got some more kunai and shuriken. The wire was thick and powerful, it wouldn't be cut without an extremely powerful technique, and even more importantly it was nearly invisible to the human eye. When performing the technique it would appear like he was throwing regular kunai. The wire could also be used for setting traps, and when he had an opponent bound and caught, it would be extremely difficult to escape. More importantly it would open them up to a powerful attack, in his case fire. Fire was made to shoot along ninja wire as well, and if he covered the wire in oil even more so. Wire was a natural conductor for fire jutsu, so it would be the best weapon to use. Although if he was out of chakra, catching an opponent and killing them with his ninjato was also an option. At times he would have to show no mercy, and this technique was deadly and required no chakra. He was a stronger ninja and now had a new technique to show off to his teammates. He learned to do this technique faster and faster so that his speed as a ninja increased as well. This new regiment was working out well for him. Soon he would learn other jutsu that might involve other handsigns, and mastering the ability to perform each one quickly would be vital. The most important handsign to perform quickly was Tiger, which was the handsign representing his element: fire. Tiger was coincidentally his favorite handsign and the one he used to focus his chakra in general. It was time to unlock the element inside of him. He held the tiger hand sign and focused his chakra. He learned this jutsu from the family that raised him. At the time he just learned the handsigns and where to focus his chakra, but now he had reached a level where casting this jutsu was a possibility. Navi concentrated and began to perform the handsigns. Serpent, Dragon, Rabit, Tiger. He clasped his hands together with tiger and took a deep breath. He spit out a small cluster of intense flames that jumped from his lips. He had just performed a fire jutsu. It needed work but the more he did it the faster his skill would become. This training regiment was about speed and being able to react quickly was the whole point. Next he would combine his techniques, as quickly as he could. He surrounded his clone and binded him tightly with his shuriken manipulation technique, then performed the Dragon Fire technique. The flames raced across the wire and when they reached his clone, he was engulfed in flames. It was instantly destroyed and the clone burst into smoke. This technique combo would take a lot more practice but there was no doubt that when he mastered it, it would become one of his most powerful assets. He successfully performed the technique two more times, as quickly and efficiently as possible. Then he had to stop, his chakra was running low. The Dragon Fire technique was a C-rank jutsu, much more powerful then what he was used to. Plus he had only done it a few times and it would take time to learn how much chakra he should release in order for maximum efficiency. Releasing too much would just be wasted energy. Eventually even Navi's deep chakra reserves began to feel depleted and he couldn't perform any more jutsu without feeling completely depleted. He would have to call it a day soon. To finish off his current regiment he ran more laps as quickly as he could. After a few more bursts of chakra to increase his speed his entire body was feeling depleted. He continued panting, but before deciding to run more laps he realized this was speed training, not endurance. He had already trained like a genin and he was proud of the progress he made. After some other refreshers in both handsigns and speed Navi took a moment to rest. He didn't understand why other shinobi seemed to near the same level as him when he clearly trained so much harder. It didn't seem fair, fine he didn't run many missions but that would change very soon. His regiment and level of training was beyond almost every other shinobi in the village and he had to at least have the most growth out of all of them. He couldn't be out done, he wouldn't be. His determination to be the strongest shinobi in Konoha fueled his ambition and being faster was the next goal post he had to hit. Navi began running more laps, focusing the remainder of his chakra in his feet for more bursts of speed. Many of the shinobi in the leaf village focused on speed as being their most important attribute. Navi had not chose this path in particular, he was a ninja that specialized more in chakra control and wit. Either way it meant that he had to do significant training in speed to be on par with the rest of his comrades. Learning the body flicker technique might be the crutch he needed to keep up with that speed skill, however if he were out of chakra this crutch would be useless, and if he used extra chakra as an excuse to do everything that he lacked he would be out of chakra immediately. No, Navi had to learn to be fast and strong as a ninja without help, chakra would need to be reserved for jutsu. That didn't mean he should think about learning the body flicker technique, just that speed training took priority right now. He wasn't through just yet, Navi had now taken up position on one side of the village atop one of the higher buildings. Instead of running laps, he now decided to run circles around the village, bounding building by building. Navi began, he ran out of chakra to use to reinforce the muscles in his feet. This was all his body's strength and speed, no chakra or jutsu to help him. His sandals clicked after each step he took, taking running leaps off each roof top and onto another one. He felt like a guardian of Konoha, a silent avenger guarding the village and watching over it. Of course there were actual guards and jounin wandering around, but Navi was just day dreaming. This was mere training and nothing more. It was strange how some of the newly graduated genin even specialized in speed. This usually meant that they lacked strength and chakra, not to mention defensive capability, but still, speed can be dangerous if you are unable to keep up with your adversary. Navi decided to start heading home, he was already bounding across building where he lived and it wasn't far. The moon was starting to come up and he had to sleep for another busy day. Navi opened his door and stumbled inside, sitting on his bed. He had contemplated his career all day and had an exhausting time training hard. The window shone brightly with a full moon outside floating in the starry night. It was a huge gleaming sphere that lit up the entire leaf village. Navi starred at it for a long time before even getting drowzy, his eyes beginning to close as he blinked them frequently and small bags began to accumulate under his tired eyes. His whole body would ache from the intense training he had accomplished and powerful skills he had sharpened and learned. It only hurt more reminding himself that soon he would have to begin a new regiment, sharpen a new set of skills to help him on his path to being a better shinobi. It was worth it though, it had to be, training harder then anyone else. Every time he spent a full day training his power would jump to a whole another league in that area. He was a strong ninja because he dedicated so much time and hardwork towards training to be one. He couldn't let anything stand in his path to becoming a better and he reminded himself to always stay on the path to becoming a stronger shinobi of the village hidden in the leaves. With all of the preliminary thoughts out of the way, Navi layed back in bed and softened his pillow. His eyes ached and his blood felt like it was boiling from exerting himself so much. Every day of training he felt like he had just come back from a raging battle. He felt beat up with a small sense of victory and satisfaction everytime. Navi took a deep breath and got up quickly before heading off to sleep. He had opened a window so that a gentle breeze could get through and fill his room, cooling his warm and tired body. His whole body drooped in bed and his muscles numbed, He would turn over on his head and begin to sleep soundly and softly. Every day seemed like the same thing, but at least the training methods and his skills were growing stronger.

Strength Training:
Navi had been neglecting his taijutsu strength and training. He was beginning to focus on his abilities outside the limit of his chakra. Strength was an attribute that he could buff with chakra, but without chakra everything would come down to his raw power and abilities. It was time to grow in those abilities. Navi would have to train hard in order to become more powerful in raw strength. Navi opened the door and started down the streets of the Leaf Village. It was as quiet in the streets of Konoha as it always was, the walk to the training field was a tranquil experience. When Navi finally arrived it was still just before the sun would come up, giving him plenty of time to have a full day of training. The training grounds were nearly deserted giving him plenty of space to work and train. He needed to quickly get stronger. His current power level was weak for a genin and he couldn't afford to let himself fall behind on his training.
Navi headed over to the hard wooden training dummy that he would always train at and readied his stance. Strength came through training and practice, he couldn't think of any other way to achieve a good result. He started by raising his arms with an open palm outstretched and a closed fist close to his chest. He struck the target at the base alternating hands. There was no speed to his blows, only sheer strength. Using his muscles for Taijutsu power didn't come naturally, after 100 reps he was already panting with a feeling of exhaustion. He wasn't training his stamina, it was all power. It had been way to short of an exercise to short out on 100 blows. To be fair each one of those blows had been very powerful, which was exactly what he was training for. Next was to train the power of his kicks. Each one required him to turn his entire waist in conjuction with his leg muscles. When he gathered enough strength and tensed himself he would force his leg to connect hard with the dummy. Similar to before, he performed this exercise 100 times. A few times he even felt the entire target rock back and forth upon kicking it. He was getting tired, but this would only be the beginning of his regiment, it was time to return to the old tall tree he used to train at. Like before, Navi stood under the lowest branch and jumped up, grasping it firmly with both hands. He performed a solid pull up and lifted himself up. He maintained a foothold and readied himself for a second jump. Like his training a long time before, he was going to climb this tree using only his arms. He kept jumping up and doing pullups, grasping each tree and forcing himself up. It was a hard fought fight getting to the top of the tree, he didn't have the special strength of a shinobi, he easily had the strength of an average person. He would overcome this obstacle though, after this training he would have the strength of a strong human, perhaps after another regiment he would begin to grasp the strength of a shinobi. By the time he had reached the top of the tree he was extremely exhausted. He jumped down the length of the tree and did a quick roll to lessen the impact of the fall. He couldn't rest just yet, he needed to test the limits of his physical strength. Like before, Navi stood under the lowest branch and jumped up, grasping it firmly with both hands. Similar to before, he performed this exercise 100 times. A few times he even felt the entire target rock back and forth upon kicking it. His leg and arm muscles ached with exhaustion and tension. He had seriously strained his muscles all up and down his body. His hands and feet hurt especially with the amount of strain he had put on them. He had performed three exercises in his regiment and he wasn't sure how much further he could push himself. Stamina wasn't a strong point for him either. That got him thinking, next he would have to train his stamina or find some way to keep fighting without getting tired. There isn't an energy jutsu he could think of, which meant it again relied on his raw ability as a shinobi to have enough stamina to keep fighting. If he didn't have the stamina to keep fighting then he wouldn't be able to save his friends, or himself from an onslaught. Similarly if he didn't have the strength to defeat his enemies, he wouldn't be able to save his comrades. This motivation forced him to do one more exercise, despite his exhausted state. He stood next to the training dummy as the sun went down. He was going to hit this target with everything he had. Navi readied a fighting stance and unleashed a flurry of Taijutsu. Each kick and punch was powerful and he was landing a deadly combination. After a barrage of blows and attacks, Navi fluidly drew a kunai and cut up the dummys throat. He followed it with a quick slash across the chest and a stab to the stomach. Navi stepped back and panted from exhaution. He had nearly completely destroyed the target with sheer brutality. His moves were powerful and had dug deep and damaged the dummy. His kunai especially and left massive gashes in the target and had taken out large chunks of material. A bead of sweat rolled down his face as he sat down in the grass to catch his breath.

Chakra Training:
Although Navi had been training hard to not have to rely on chakra, but he realized that he wouldn't have to rely on his physical strength so much if he just increased his power level of reserve of chakra. Navi also knew that he was at a stage in his career as a ninja that a world of new jutsu would unfold to him. He would be able to expand his knowledge of jutsu very soon, and he needed to prepare by having as much chakra as possible. His specialty was ninjutsu after all, and a specialty like that required a huge level of chakra. His level of chakra would all but determine his strength as a ninja. Besides, he had to impress his new team. Konoha team 7, including a genin girl fresh from the academy. He was easily double her power level, but she could show promise. The other kid was from a clan. Navi was more talented then he was as well. His speed, strength and chakra control far exceeded that of his comrades. Even his stamina and defensive capabilities were significantly higher. That kid had a Kekkei Genkai though, meaning he had been granted a natural ability of power. Navi looked up his kekkei genkai, partly out of wanting to know the extent of his team and partly out of curiosity. If he activated his Raven style as it was called it would be a much more even fight. His defense, stamina and strength would be outmatched. However: Navi would still have an edge in chakra and speed. Navi tried to tell himself that it was sheer talent that gave him the ability to be on par with someone's kekkei genkai. He was right, but that wouldn't be good enough, he needed to be better then his kekkei genkai. His current power level was weaker then he would like and he couldn't afford to let himself fall behind on his training.
When Navi arrived at the training field he had one goal in mind. He would not only have to prepare to and get several lower rank jutsu, but he was hoping to get a stronger jutsu to. His one goal was too gain the chakra control and power level necessary to perform a B-rank jutsu. A C-rank jutsu was a nice tool to have in a battle, but it wouldn't stop a chunin who had an intent to kill. A B-rank jutsu would be the best tool in his arsenal and it would also make him special. It was unheard of for a Genin to be able to perform a B-rank jutsu. A C-rank jutsu was even pushing it for some shinobi. Navi couldn't help but feel the determination coarse threw him as he imagined having the ability to do a B-rank jutsu. His specialty was chakra and his special skill was ninjutsu. If anyone would be able to do it, it would be him.
Navi clasped together his hands to form the tiger seal and began to build his chakra. First things first, he needed to cast some jutsu to work up. He started with his most powerful and only fire style jutsu. “Serpent, Dragon, Rabbit, TIGER!” Performing each handsign with each word he said. He took a deep breath and puffed out his chest. Focusing his chakra in his body and getting ready to push it out. “KATON: RYUKA NO JUTSU!” Navi released a massive burst of flame from his mouth as he pushed his chakra out. The dragon fire jutsu he had cast lit up the entire field with its light. The flame filled the sky above him. The fire lasted a few moments before disappaiting. Again, Navi focused his power and chakra level performing the handsigns again. “KATON: RYUKA NO JUTSU!” (fire style: dragon fire jutsu) he aimed his attack at the sky so he wouldn't risk setting any grass or plants on fire. The flame erupted from his mouth, his elemental blast lighting up the sky a second time. It was a short ranged fire technique, but extremely powerful. It was usually meant to be used on a conductor of some sort, but even so, it lit up the sky with a beautiful flame. Navi had used an immense amount of chakra to cast those two jutsu. He still had about half a tank left of chakra and he had one more exercise idea that would just about deplete him. Navi threw a kunai knife with his manipulated shuriken technique into the air. It had a good length of wire attached to it as he threw it up into the air. He was able to steer the direction of the knife in the air and he let it get high into the air first. Then he cast his fire jutsu again, “Katon, Ryuka no Jutsu”. Then he spit out his fire along the length of the wire. With this technique he could steer a flaming wire through the air. The wire retained the fire for a long time before being put out. The wire was a natural conductor for the flame and he could steer it like a flail with relative ease.
To build his chakra reserves now he would need to focus on concentrating his chakra when he had very little left. In this state he could sense his own power level. In his current state, if he were to have full chakra, he would be able to cast one or two B-rank jutsu. It wouldn't be long until Navi would have the ability to cast an A-rank jutsu. At this rate he would be able to master the highest level fire techniques. Through mastery of his element would come room to learn an entirely new element, and through that he might even pick up another skill or speciality. Navi concentrated hard with the tiger hand seal. He felt what was left of his chakra run throughout his body and pulse in his veins. He was not an Uchiha, but his talent and jutsu level easily matched their skill. Navi continued to practice concentrating his chakra while mediating in the field. The grass swayed back and forth as the wind switched directions back and forth. Navi began experimenting with what was left of his chakra, performing similar handsigns and movements. The Uchiha often performed the Fireball jutsu as a standard powerful jutsu. A Uchiha member was not even fully recognized unless they could perform the Fireball jutsu. He thought back to how they had done it. If he remembered correctly it involved Horse then Tiger. He hadn't the chakra to perform the jutsu now, but he could learn how to focus his chakra and perform it. It was similar to the Dragon Fire technique. Even better, Navi could learn the Burning Ash technique, a B-rank technique he had seen some of the Jounin perform who also specialized in fire release as he did.
With the last few remaining hours left in his training, he focused his chakra on fire meditation, giving him the ability to adapt to fire type chakra control. When he finished he took a deep breath, he had run out of chakra for focusing it so long.
Navi decided to start heading home, he was already bounding across building where he lived and it wasn't far. The moon was starting to come up and he had to sleep for another busy day. Navi opened his door and stumbled inside, sitting on his bed. He had contemplated his career all day and had an exhausting time training hard.
His chakra had grown today and he hoped to grow it tomorrow too.
