Space-Time Specialty Training (Closed)

As a slight breeze rolled by Mizuni, a hint of seaweed scent was carried along the passing wind, the area he and his acquaintance were being quite close to the ocean. Mizuni had come here for training in the ninja art, to further increase his abilities. Beside him stood the boy named Yaiba Kenoroko. Or, more precisely, the lifeless body of the boy named Yaiba Kenoroko. He had rather recently been revived by the methods of Mizuni, who had brought the corpse back into the status of animation using rods that received slight amounts of Mizuni's chakra to control the body, allowing Mizuni to manipulate what the body did. He also found that he could see everything he could usually see but now also see what the body of Yaiba, his Deva Path, could see. The scenery around them was beautiful, a lush field of long green grass that swayed to the direction that the wind blew. And to garnish the appearance of the scene was the blue tint that now set in on the world, caused by the rise of the moon and the dark night sky that, despite its darkness, seemed to shine down on the land. Mizuni continued to walk forward and had the Deva Path stay in his position. Once a good distance away from the position of the Deva Path boy, Mizuni turned to face him and projected chakra commands to the Deva Path's body. The Deva Path Yaiba rushed forward in a sprint, not at full speed but still going quite faster than Mizuni might be able to. Prepared, Mizuni focused chakra and remembered the concept he had thought of on the way to the coastal plains within the Hidden Mist Village's territory where they were now.
Three hours ago, on the passenger cruise boat to the coasts that the islands that make up most territory of Kirigakure are off of
Mizuni sat on the bench that had been installed on the sun deck of the boat, a journal in his hand and several thoughts passing through his head. Meanwhile, the Deva Path he controlled stood inside the cabin of the boat, standing by the door that led out to the sun deck and guarding it as he was under control of Mizuni. Meanwhile, out on the sun deck sitting on a bench, Mizuni contemplated the ability of manipulating chakra, and thought of new ideas as to how it could be used for ninjutsu or other feats. What he currently had learned about was Ninjutsu, which involved manipulating chakra to perform feats that regularly no human would ever be able to achieve. This included the most basic things taught in the academy, like creating copies of yourself that mimicked movements, switching places with objects, and even transforming the appearance of the user who could manipulate chakra to do so. It also allowed one who could manipulate chakra to create and even manipulate the elements of nature and bend them to their will. But then there was also Genjutsu. Genjutsu was explained as the ability to manipulate chakra to where they disrupt the senses of the opponent and cause them to sense illusions or change what might be real to something else in a fake reality. But surely, Mizuni thought, buried deep within the recesses of history, used by legendary ninja who found other ways or even just lucky, skilled individuals, had discovered and founded other uses for chakra? For example, right now Mizuni used his chakra to control the reanimated body of a dead boy and use it to his will. And there were the doujutsu of the world that each had their own unique powerful abilities about them using chakra. Surely there were much deeper and more powerful abilities that could be achieved through the use of chakra, allowing one to even surpass the limits of a normal person. But there was one thing in particular that interested Mizuni. Maybe chakra could be used to even, one might believe, manipulate the fabric of existence? But surely that was crazy, or was it? Maybe it was simply a matter of transporting particles and moving them through space and time using chakra to move them. The concept was quite interesting indeed, and with inspiration of the thoughts now in mind Mizuni began to scribble theories furiously down in his journal. One possibility was creating a rift in space and time, a portal, that would allow matter to travel then instantly through it and out at an exit point. It seemed quite possible indeed.
But Mizuni was interrupted in his course of thought by a small boy, about his height, that ran by and took a pouch from Mizuni's coat with a quick hand and good speed. Mizuni glared towards the boy with the one eye that was exposed through the hole that allowed him to see clearly out of his mask. But the fortunate thing about this was that now Mizuni could test his new theory of technique. He focused chakra to his feet and spread the chakra out around his width on the ground in a circle. He slowly manipulated the particles in the ground and with enough focus, opened a rift in the fabric of space and time. The portal was mimicked on the ground ahead of the Deva Path he controlled, and meanwhile, he had the Deva Path, who saw now that the boy ran inside towards Deva Path who stood by the door, grab the thief and hold him in a choke hold. As Mizuni saw through the Deva Path's vision that Deva had caught the thief and now held him in wait for Mizuni, Mizuni's form rapidly descended seemingly into the ground. As his form descended into the rift, legs first, while his legs were teleported they were at the same time as they disappeared into the original rift reformed from seeming nothingness over the portal. And with that technique Mizuni was instantly "reassembled" in all form above the second portal created. The child with the mask who had been stolen from, quite tall for his age, now stood before the boy who had stolen from him. The boy gripped the inside of the Deva Path's strong arms, trying to relieve pressure as to not be too badly damaged. In one of the boy's filthy hands was the pouch he had stolen from Mizuni. The funny thing that became apparent to the wannabe thief as his loot was reclaimed by the boy who wielded the Rinnegan was that the pouch he had stolen never had anything of value in it in the first place, the boy had stolen an empty pouch. After snatching it back from the boy, Mizuni had Deva Path release the boy, who knelt down and gripped at his throat, his gasps clawing at air. The most fortunate thing about the encounter was new knowledge, and one more technique in Mizuni's arsenal of the mind and chakra.
Ahead three hours, current time, Mizuni and the Deva Path training in the field of grass just barely on the borders between Kirigakure's territory and the neighboring territory.
Mizuni, having memorized the concept of warping matter through space and time using the manipulation of matter by means of chakra that he had developed earlier that day, focused chakra quickly below him on the ground, forming it into a ring around him. It quickly turned into a rift in the fabric of universe, while another portal was formed behind the Deva Path, who had rushed at him and put his sword on his hilt. Instantly, Mizuni disappeared down into the portal below him and reformed, having warped through space and time to the loaction of the portal behind the Deva Path. Mizuni then jumped slightly into the air and lifted his legs, bringing one in to be tucked between the other leg and the hip on the side of the tucked leg, with the other spinning around and kicking the Deva Path in the ribs, which sent the body flying to the right. But that was no matter, as the Deva Path was controlled to simply get back up once more and rush towards Mizuni again, silent all the while. This time, Mizuni created a portal below him and one ahead where Mizuni predicted the Deva Path to be less than a second from now. At the same time he disappeared and reformed, Mizuni shot a black rod out from his palm which expelled and was revealed as coming from his long sleeve. When Mizuni reformed the Deva Path was but a foot away and closed in rapidly. Mizuni raised the rod he had created from his body and parried a strike with the forearm from the Deva Path, batting his arm in the other direction and striking at the head of the body. But the Deva Path simply ducked and struck upwards quickly with his foot, aimed at Mizuni's chin and his foot rocketing between Mizuni's torso and the blocking rod that had parried the Deva Path's strike before. It hit home and sent the controller of the Deva Path flying backwards away from the body of Yaiba Kenoroko. Mizuni quickly transitioned into a roll and shot forward back towards the Deva Path once more, who was only now recovering from the low stance and attack he had delivered not more than two seconds before. Mizuni shot out another rod from his left palm and extended both rods to full length at five feet, and launched his palms facing straight forwards toward the torso of the Deva Path. But the Deva Path's muscles were strong enough to be quick enough to give him time to grab the hilt of the sword that the boy Yaiba had possessed in life and unsheathe the blade, bringing it up diagonally between the two slightly differently positioned blades, the sword tilted sideways to where the position Mizuni and the Deva Path were now locked in was Mizuni having had the two rods stopped by the sword of the Deva Path, which was locked in between the small space that was equal to the difference in height that the two rods had been aimed at. The Deva Path powerfully brought the tip of the sword downward, pushing both rods away in opposite directions to the sides. Mizuni countered with the action of rapidly retracting the black rods into his body and creating a portal below him and another behind the Deva Path. Mizuni reformed instantly and brought his fist back, the other launching into the back of the Deva Path's lower body. He continued with the fist that had been drawn back launching forward while the other was drawn back. The attack continued in a barrage against the Deva Path's back, causing quite a decent amount of damage to the body. The body formerly known as a person named Yaiba launched forward a few feet. Mizuni had the Deva Path stand up, and simply walk back over to Mizuni, standing at his side behind him, silent all the while.
After resting for a few minutes, Mizuni, having sat down beside the Deva Path, took out his journal and pen from within his coat and opened to the page that he had left off on when writing down descriptions of his theory he had thought up about manipulating matter and the fabric of space and time itself using chakra manipulation. He continued on the page, writing about the method of warping matter through space and time that he had developed today using rifts in the universe that were opened below and another created elsewhere as a sort of conduit for recreating the matter warped through first portal out of the second portal. Mizuni went on to explain what he had learned about creating the portals and about the experience while actually being transported across space and time. He continued writing, and later that night boarded another boat and headed back to Kirigakure, reflecting on the new style and technique of Ninjutsu he had learned, interested now in researching the manipulation of space and time with chakra.
