Training 02

After adverting a massacre, Yuri began leaving the area to avoid more conflict as she heads towards a different path from the caravan. The bandit from earlier was still bearing the grudge for her tip on the travelers. He went back to the camp and simply called some company to follow him in getting Yuri. Due to Yuri's slow travelling speed, tracking her was a piece of cake for them, 10 minutes of efforts had brought them within 100 meters from her. To Yuri, it feels like head on fight as she could feel their presence clearly. She changed her direction towards to the nearest cliff from her knowledge.

The bandits were not as disorganized as Yuri thought. They did not make an ambush immediately as they followed her for a few stretch of roads through sneaking on trees and blending amongst the rocks. It was only after half an hour did they realize that Yuri wanted to head to a cliff. Yuri didn't stopped moving as she passed the bushes and see the cliff eventually.

While hiding in the trees, the bandit prepared their weapons and were ready to use them as projectile for distraction. Yuri walked to the edge of the cliff and stopped as she enjoys the blowing wind coming in her direction for a moment. One of the bandits started the attack as he threw a spinning axe at her. Yuri grinned. She turned quickly and saw another 2 weapons coming at her, the axe was the first to get within her distance of reach. She took a quick glance at the revolution of the axe and grabs it lightly and pretends to lose her balance as she falls from the cliff to trick them to get out from hiding. On the steep side of the cliff, she walked down slowly to find a spot for her cover to wait as she tightens the grip on the axe.

The bandit were being lured out to check her survival and scattered themselves to make expand the search area. The one who wanted his payback went to the spot that Yuri fell from as he looks down cautiously. This is what Yuri had been waiting for even if the plan didn't work well. She threw the axe up when the sounds of the footsteps got real close to the cliff's edge. A deep cut appeared at his forehead for his reaction towards the counterattack. Blood gushes down and covers his vision slowly as he alerted the others to close in on her. Yuri ran down the cliff immediately trying to avoid more attacks on her. It was too late when 2 large shurikens chases her down, pushing her pace to her fastest as she finds the perfect moment to dodge them.

Not far from her there was a cover parallel to her direction as she leaps to get to cover, the shuriken broke the cover as the lump of rock that Yuri is grabbing on breaks off from the cliff and falls. With shurikens rooted to the falling rock, Yuri quickly grabs onto one of the within 2 meters of fall and swings it on the cliff to help her regain her balance. The bandits were swearing by now as Yuri secured her escape due to the distance from the bandits.

She had dealt with the bandits accordingly and shifted her focus towards walking down another few kilometers of cliff. Given her current situation, no one will be starting a battle in front of her due to the difficulty to move throw steep paths. Hence, it became a leisure walk test for her.

During the walk, she saw a few bird nest as it houses cute chirping babies so adorable that she stopped on the way to take a closer look. Too bad she can't touch time as doing so triggers a pointless battle between species. These nest were usually supported by plants that grew its branches strong enough to let the nearest prey use them so that more birds would be reproduced easily. Suddenly, an eagle flew past her as their eyes connect with both giving out a kind of greeting stare deterring both to combat each other.

Knowing that her chakra had limits, she decided that she should just ignore the beautiful surroundings. This was when she tripped over a protruding pointed end that made her legs left on airs. She was shocked like it meant the end of her life. She travels down at a much faster rate now and had little time to think, shifting her focus back to the surroundings but for survival this time.

There was no obstacle to save her from falling given her current posture, any form of help is just too short for Yuri to catch upon. Her brain once peaked again at finding a solution to survive such a fall. There is only one option left for her; to use the falling resistance to her advantage by doing rolls at her maximum speed. She acted before it was even fully visualized.

As her fall is nearing its end at 400 meters from meeting her parents, Yuri kept increasing her backward rolling speed without any concerns to her stamina in order to force the resisting pressure into guiding her to gain touch of the cliff. She didn't have the time to feel dizzy nor think of anything else anymore, putting all of her soul on the line against death.

In the end, her efforts were nearly wasted. Within 50 meters to hell, Yuri held onto the surface desperately while being dragged down by the pressure that accumulated from the time of losing her touch. With the ability to fear again, Yuri was worried about her limps as she jumps when it was enough for the safe landing via swinging to the nearest tree branch for the ground. Even swinging at this point put her abilities to test as she landed on all four on the hard ground, she would have died. However, her gamble cushioned her fall so much that she was only knocked out for a few hours until night falls.

Yuri purposely slowed down her pace to let the thugs catch up from the residence. While running away, Yuri had a quick count of the number of tugs coming at her. There were 12 of them. There are 6 guards 200 meters behind her to let her lure the thugs into an ambush. One of the thugs caught up and did a cleaving attack as soon as he was meters away from Yuri. To her, it was a useless attack as she took a step to the side and see his big axe get stuck to the ground. She simply kicked him in the gut in close contact and continued running as more his buddies are getting near. Yuri had only ran 50 meters by then.

She thought for a while during her run that finding a straight route will have less cutback needed for her speed since she will be easily visible. She looked at the place for ambush as she decides to head there through overcoming any obstacles on the straight way. Yuri took a second worth of break as she took a sharp turn towards the straight with only her upper part of one foot, something achievable only by constant training. As a result of chasing for her live, the first few thugs fell and piled themselves in a mess, it took them a while to get up while the others continued to give chase.

Yuri was waiting for a signal of the guards as she jumps over a tree that died recently, she continued running as there was no trace. It took a her a few minutes to see a thumbs up not far off from her front at the back of a tree. She slowed down at this instant as she goes at jogging speed to the trap pretending to look injured at her legs. The thugs took 5 minutes to arrive before all of them surrounded Yuri. The net underneath went up the thug were unbalanced. To prevent from being trapped in the net as well, Yuri steps onto the thug beside her and jumped as high as possible. The four ends of the net overlapped each other by the guards who ran in circles to secure the net from any openings. Yuri landed onto the top of a tree as she gives an alraight signal to the guards and goes back to help at the residence.

On her way back, a figure awaits her in the dark. She stops as she goes close. Yes? Yuri tries to figure his attention by talking. Stay away from this area. This place is out of bounds for now. The guy looks straight at Yuri without hesitation. There was no room for discussion as the 2 ninjas made their move. The guy drew out his blade as a fake diverting Yuri's attention gets to the blade. With this confirmed, he stopped the raising of the blade as he goes low and tries to kick Yuri at her chin. Catching Yuri off guard, Yuri did not have the time to dodge the kick fully as she went upwards forcefully. He draws his blade fully as a sharp burst of wind comes at Yuri. At her full stretch grasping the power of the jutsu, she timed her reverse somersault carefully. A small cut appeared at her thigh after landing safely as she ran to his left the moment she lands. Yuri tries to best him as his sight keeps up with her stare while dashing. Knowing otherwise might happen, he charges at Yuri as he swings his blade to catch up with Yuri's pace. Yuri knew that if the time on mid-air was longer she wouldn't have the time to pull this off as Yuri did a slide below the swinging and grabs hold of his armed hand and recovers. He had no choice but to release himself from the grip as he did the jutsu he is most familiar with. Yuri was waiting for this moment as she sweeps his leg with the help of the other free hand to balance and releases his hand, causing his attention to his own technique as Yuri made a run for it. He was barely able to avoid a lethal blow to himself as he lost track of her.

Yuri figured that it was a mess when she arrives outside the 3 levels high residence. The main entrance already seen blood as guards were fighting the thugs who seemed to be better prepared than the ones guarding outside. Everyone had faith in whoever is fighting whoever right now as Yuri entrusts their roles to them and continues running deeper inside residence. More fighting and damages are occurring as Yuri heads in deeper finding the chief fighting another strong warrior. Yuri had concluded that the wanted had escaped long ago given the way things are now. The Chief's life is on danger, that is Yuri's priority at that moment. She head into the fray.

With a clear view of the fighting, it was obvious that his opponent is good is blade breaking. The Chief had wasted a whole lot of weapons without a single plan as Yuri tries to lure his attention with a punch on from his left. It was enough to tell the chief to consolidate his forces with an eye contact from Yuri in her dash as Yuri rotates her head to the right to avoid the grab by his enemy. A Grappler huh... Yuri back a few steps from him as she threw the broken blades at him. Knowing that direct assault with any weapon pointless and knowing that his enemy knows what is on her mind. Yuri stopped on her ground as she produced a few clones of herself and surrounded him. Yuri was hoping that he doesn't see through her intention to buy time as They were forced into a silent taunt for a minute before the man saw through her trick and comes straight at her. Slow...This is good Yuri evaded him time and again due to his speed and his close range attacks. Eventually, there was no need to go on an offense as the Chief rallied enough man to pin him by raw strength, ending the night with a failure.

Hey Newcomer, secure the ladder while i climb up to fix the window above. Yuri looked up and obey. Time passed. It was no piece of cake as she had to grip the ladder firmly for half a day without rest. Her strength was a shadow of her past, her arms grew heavier with each passing hour. To make matters worse, no help is coming and the other workers climbed up the same ladder as well. She had to focus her chakra onto her limps in order to give the ones up on the ladder time to finish the maintenance. Production for the day multiplied since she was the only one needed to maintain the foundation of the operation. Dripping sweat starts to find their way into her eyes as she could not even wipe it off. She had no choice but to bear with the pain without any complains. Passer-bys were all looking with some admiration in their eyes when they saw Yuri doing the impossible. That was the best kind of attention she could get as she continues to focus her strength. By the time hunger got to her, there were 2 dozens of workers depending on her grip. It didn't looked like she was holding to a ladder anymore as the ladder turns into another structure with the help of metal poles. She couldn't had persevered on if it wasn't for her past.

Yuri looked up to the sky as her last job tempted her to wander. She was sure that she was going to be stretched even further if she did not ran away.

While wandering into another town, Yuri decides to look around and ask for the location. It does not take her very long to make her know that she is. Everyone seems to ask her of her origins from their windows, it might seems that everyone is concerned while Yuri never rules out the possibility of hostility since more than half of the doors are closed during daylight. Danger seems to be lurking all the while when she wanders around as she decides to find the inn of the town to ask some questions. When she arrived at the inn, it was closed. As she knocks the door, there was no response. Yuri became puzzled.

More doors closed when a dozen of man can be seen coming at this direction. Yuri felt that she seems to know them as she saw one of the faces. She ran into hiding as well the moment her memory worked. As the group arrived at the village, they stopped in the tracks. One of them looked straight at Yuri's eyes sending fear to her immediately though it stopped after he turned away, seemingly to find someone else. Where are they?! one of them shouted to his group before all of them split ways and one of them charges at the dustbin as Yuri is just in time to roll away with it and rushes out at the next moment as she goes up the walls and does performs handseals swiftly diverting the attacker's attention as she was knocked into an alley's mess. It is a dead end as Yuri kicks piles of rubbish at her enemy while thinking of a plan. Lucky for her, she kicked a pail of powder.

When the mess descended, the man saw two of her right in front of him. The wall in front of the mess was cut into half revealing a shocked man at his home. He walks forward the man as he slashes up the ceiling and water splashes down like a fountain, giving Yuri a pipe to survive with as she jumps out of the window of the house and starts her run. Running pass a street, another member of the group took note and followed. Yuri ran to the nearest shelter as she performs her clone technique again. This time the pursuers were really a little confused as both headed straight for the two clones at both sides. They dissipated, leaving the middle one looking at them as they looked back. They were fooled. This gave Yuri enough time to escape as she swiftly left the area with a metal pipe in her hand.

As Yuri left the village, the pursuers seems to lost her when a member of the group was preparing for her. As she looked around, she dodges the Futon slice attack and begins her counter. As she lowers down to hide and advance on to him, she can feel the overwhelming air as she gets nearer. It seems to Yuri that he is attempting a vacuum trap as he seems awfully vulnerable. She aims and throws the pipe at him, tapping him a second to break his concentration. Yuri takes the chance to pop out from the bushes and grab the pipe to render her enemy out of action. It is still not safe here Yuri ran further into the forest.

Yuri prepared countermeasures this time around as she prepared a dozen of clones to ensure her escape. Each clone were hid under a tree or to lie down in a random spot as long as they act in a way that shadows cannot be casted on them. As the group caught up with their wounded member, they doubled their efforts as they leave a member behind to help the wounded. Yuri could be easily found around the area by this point of time, this in turn left the entire group frustrated as they soon come to realize that the target cannot be tracked anymore. Regrouping is the common response in times like this.

By mid-afternoon, the surrounding seems friendlier as the vicious intent of killing was gone. Yuri assumes tat she is out of danger by this point of time as she sits behind a tree not knowing exactly where she was headed again. There wasn't a destination to begin with, what else can be worse than that? This thought had been echoing around Yuri's head.

You fine with dealing it? The teary kid faces her as Yuri had the luxury of being a big sister at rare occasions. She pat his shoulders as she went to business. Three thugs charges straight at her with arms as she stood her ground calmly ,waiting for the attacks to be evaded. It seems to her that being unshackled by hierarchy is a blessing. She gets to go close up with those in need. The attacks weren't even serious from her view as she jumped forward, high enough to evade all three attacks and did a roll before touching the ground. The kid wiped off his tears off his face and his attention shifted to big sister in front of him. The thugs ran back at her with the same manner of offensive again. Expected of them given their character, Yuri decided to do a little work out. The first guy got tripped while swinging his sword at the direction of Yuri's head. The other two were caught off guard as well, resulting in them kissing their weapon handle hard as blood came out from their lips. Not paying attention to them, Yuri grabs hold of his snatched harmonica that dropped from one of the thug's pockets. Let's go Yuri had the kid on her back as both were on their way out to the crowded areas.

It does not take Yuri much effort to dodge the thrown weapons due to the skill of their throwers. With the kid at the back, Yuri returned to the nearest street and began asking for the kid's information to return him home. Sadly, this town isn't as courteous in their manners as the previous one Yuri stayed over. Yuri put a smile to her face despite facing rough comments on her outfit, trying to get accustomed to the culture slowly. She found the kid's family eventually and decided to find an inn and get a rest. Unfortunately, she found herself surrounded on the way while finding. Half of the doors went shut immediately. 6 men from different directions had some of their shadows prevented Yuri from getting a clear look on all enemies. They never hesitated to take the required action, forcing Yuri to make a jump onto the rooftop right behind her. Not even the landing was saved as she receives knee to her gut by underestimating them. She still landed onto the roof after a knock on her back, but it was different this time. The roof suffered damages, starting the first blood process. She rolled away to duck the next following hit that damages the rooftop further and recovered. A single thought came to Yuri They are like me huh? The surprised look on her hyped up her guard.

Her judgement was always the key towards the outcome of an escape. By bringing them to her level had seems to an inaccuracy assumption given their looks. She started her run to keep her attention at these details. She might be outnumbered and out-muscled, but there is always a chance due to the very reason of being alone. The guys threw a few kunai seemingly to test her out for a plan. Yuri saw the incoming kunai as her eyes widened with a gut feeling that they are going to do something to the kunai that headed in front of her first. Putting her feelings to test, she turned to the left and made a jump. She intends to bind them to buy time for the run. Whilst dodging all of the kunai, her handseals were completed to use 1 of them against their owner. To the pursuers, it seems that the kunai was somehow deflected by Yuri. It was the start of her plan. Yuri purposely paused for a moment for her enemies to close in. It is all about her runs now as the first enemy didn't take long to go face to face at Yuri. An embarrassing move as it was, Yuri went on an offense before he could. She did a slide in between his legs and had enough time to circle him a few times before he could figure out what was done. The second man was getting very close to her when she jumps back onto the roof at this moment. He was a few meters away from ground level and just beside the puzzled man before Yuri pulled her wires. One of them tripped while the other got turned upside down tied at his right leg hanging a few feet off the ground. The last man is coming, alongside with his much slower buddies. Her part hasn't ended as well.

Looking at the charging man with one of them picking up himself as well. Yuri took this opportunity to grab the kunai and pass the charger with a piece of her best speed. She lowered his right hand as she ran pass him, following by a sharp turn to circle him. The same trick didn't work in her favor at the similar way. The wires ended up binding something else, something that poses no threat at all. Her feet soon got trapped by the turning roof plank and she could felt the snapping of her wires. While still able to retain control over what was tied on the roof, Yuri swung it down to the left to the ground level. 2 of the 3 men were coming to her from back and front now. Fortunately, their slower buddies didn't think anything of the thrown object. With her feet trapped and there was no way to evade the incoming attack, both men landed their attacks on what was used to get away from her attack. Not knowing whether these guys were fuming mad, Yuri simply ran away from the slower ones and vanished from their sight. Taking her location to a few street further before stopping for a break. She was still puzzled over the reason for the townspeople's behavior, it was as if no one on the bright had never come for their rescue.

Staying at a place where legal laws are ineffective is a dangerous training ground to Yuri where injuries can come heavy. Still, there she is, standing in front of a trio who is seemingly having a grudge for her when she do not even know them. Assuming that they are doing their job, she kindly asked the reason for their attitude towards her. One of them replied Why did you try to help that family? Things would have been much easier if you had not interfered Her brain ticked upon hearing that when she did something that rendered help a few days ago. Yuri expression turned nasty immediately as the thugs took that an automatic approval and ran up to her at the same time not giving a thought about her appearance.

Having faced too much hostility here, Yuri took these guys seriously and focuses. All 3 stopped at the same time as each threw a explosive kunai towards her and ran backwards. Yuri was prepared to take the incident up to their leader as she goes to her right to avoid them before feeling the impact of the blast. As she turned to look for the them, they had vanished. Yuri figured that they must have briefed before facing her, she rushed to the cross junction of the street after causing a commotion from the explosion. Something brightened up below her, it is another explosive tag. She knew the delay of such tools and evaded to a safe distance again. However, there was a better fighter this time round.

The crowd now finds a new spot to gather as the fights picks its tempo up by folds in an instant. Yuri barely evaded 60 strikes of spear in a matter of seconds. Her eyes were wide with shock as the man did a slam on the ground with his spear spreading tremor to everyone around and unbalancing all included Yuri as well. She would usually suffer lights cut in an attempt to evade the following attack. Things are slightly different now as 2 quick handseals were planned for the next strike that binds the spear before it reaches Yuri head-on. It was the start of another attack. Her opponent began a series of handseals right in front of her.

His palms touches the ground in a matter of seconds. Yuri was expecting an attack but got surprised by the speed of it when the attack occurred the same time as her thoughts, lightning was wrapping around her giving her the torture through the shock it gives as Yuri shouted out in pain. Next comes the spear forcing its way through her wires that broke them as the entire spear went through Yuri's guts. Pain was felt at her left arm instead. She would have been dead if what happened moments ago were true. Instead, she was sent flying tens of meters away before the explosive could blow up her arm. There was only a single enemy all the while and Yuri was near the spot where she spotted the trio of thugs. She was surprised that she could accept herself being tricked.

Yuri picked herself up to take a clear look at her enemy when she was further surprised that it was of the opposite of the revealed gender all along. An incoming swift blade attack prompted Yuri to form a temporary kunai as their tips met with Yuri carefully maintaining the balance of the parry with her rate of reaction. Before her weapon turns to worthless dust, she headed a few steps left to avoid the attack entirely which was barely able to dodge the slash made up of greatly hardened blade made from rocks. A short and thin line appeared at her waist as she threw the disintegrating kunai at her in return to distract her. The enemy was no fool and so is Yuri.

Yuri quickly took a few steps back and soon found a pair of clamping stone tablet coming at her. To further limit her escape, she looked up and found her enemy coming from the top with clones coming from both sides. She was impressed by the detail of the attack before being she found her legs caught by hardening mud that turned into rocks. Thankfully there were lots of choices to get her out with. The poor shop notice exploded from being crushed from 5 sides as Yuri could expect the same from her enemy. She was about 30 meters away from her as she stood on top of the stone tablet looking at Yuri. There was a strange kind of feeling when both stared at each other for a few seconds. Something tender seems to have grouped them in the past, something not quite pleasant. But, either of them could not fully recall what happened. Yuri let her enemy took the advantage of silence and initiates the attack again.

Executing a Genjutsu and with a Taijutsu followed up must be quite a feat. Worse still, it seems that Yuri could easily point out that those were not her forte to begin with. It feels like she had seen her skills somewhere but going down the memory isn't the best choice now as Yuri ducks the first middle slash going for her abdomen. Quick as Yuri is, one of her enemy's palm touches the ground as a spike came up from Yuri's bottom. Yuri was nearly hit as she hugs the protruding spike that has a height tall as her. The plan from her enemy hasn't ended as her fingers are still moving from what Yuri can see. At this moment, Yuri would be badly wounded if the elemental attack continued. To prevent this, her right arm flexed as though a jutsu comes purely by instinct. She threw a temporary kunai aiming at the hand performing the jutsu against her. It delayed the technique for a second before smaller spikes came out from all over the round cone shaped hugged spike. But it is enough for Yuri to avoid the attack with her speed as the distraction not only saved her but turned the tide of the battle as wires were made without her enemy's notice and binds the pair of legs. Yuri pulled the wires immediately as her enemy loses balance and fell, Yuri took this opportunity to get away from the battle safely as she predicts an earth clone to be made and ambush will be followed up. Her enemy collapsed an entire structure of building that Yuri was beside moments ago as soon as she got away from the binds and found her clone. Yuri was nowhere near to be found.
