Komatsu's Big Chance [P,NK, Zachariah ]

Komatsu stepped into the training center warily, he was early but still weary of any traps that had been placed before his arrival. Walking into the empty lobby in the tower he smiled, he'd managed to make it before the Tenkage had arrived. Going about the area he scrounged together some rope and a bucket of water. He set it up above the main door with a simple system, were the next time someone moved the handle it would prime the trap to go off when the door was opened, the next person to enter the room would be doused in the freezing cold water. Looking around for any other obvious ideas Komatsu went over around the room three times, looking over the smooth walls for an anchor point for his rope. With luck he'd have time to set up a simple harness system over most of the empty space allowing him to ascend to the ceiling or even keep him anchored to the very center of the room. After working for an hour Komatsu managed to find a vent to secure his ropes to, leaving a large grid of ropes hanging about the room, he climbed up to hang above the door. Curling the ropes around his forearms Komatsu closed his eye's to wait, holding himself aloft as the minutes ticked by, he was trying to relax. The Tenkage would never see his clever sneak attack coming, he had arrived with time to spare to set up this devious scheme, he even had time to put on fresh pressed clothing and comb his hair before leaving that morning, and Komatsu was feeling ready.

Zachariah walked to the door of the room he would be meeting someone. He had decided to take a more personal method to training his villagers. He was a tad bit early, so he decided that, right before entering the door, he would feel out for the person he was meeting. Well, he sensed a chakra signature, although he wasn't sure it belonged to the said person. The weird thing was, it was positioned over the door. Near the ceiling. That was really weird. With a jutsu cast, some paper lanterns fell from the air above the ropes and on the other side of the door. With a poof, muffled by the door and walls, Zachariah entered his world of holograms where he saw the person. And a bucket of water over the door. He laughed before returning to the same side of the door he was once on. With a snap of a finger, the lanterns caught fire, quickly burning through the thin but strong rope. With any luck, he would actually hit the bucket on his way down and spring his own trap on himself.

Komatsu opened his eyes as the rope he had been hanging from was on it's last few threads. He spun the ropes around his forearms and pulled himself out towards the center of the room, just in time as the ropes split and left him hanging momentarily. Tugging at the ropes as he fell Komatsu pulled desperately before landing heavily in the center of the room, a loud thud and a groan accompanied his fall. Looking up at the door he noticed the water bucket was precariously still hanging over the door, he had missed pulling the rope on the way down. Excellent maybe his prank wasn't completely doomed to fail, he sat up slowly moving his shoulders in little circles to remove some of the pain of the fall he was lucky he hadn't foolishly tried to land on his feet otherwise he would have broke something for sure. Dusting off his attire he looked to the door, it was still early but maybe the Tenkage had arrived ahead of schedule. Curious Komatsu struggled for a moment before cutting the line to release the bucket with a large crash, the water pooled about his feet slowly. He put on his most innocent smile and stood a little straighter, dropping any aggressive tension from his stance controlling his body language to not show how disappointed he was that the trap had failed.

Sneaky little devil he thought as he heard the boy hit the floor. Oh well. He was about to walk in, but hesitated, remembering the bucket. Shortly thereafter, the bucket fell to the floor. He walked in after this point, paying no heed to the puddle as it was in the center of the room, a fair distance away from him. "Nice try, but I am not so easy to fool" he would say, looking at the boy. "Now, shall we begin?" He said. He stood straight, feeling out the area around him and the boys chakra, whom he now was sure belonged to the boy in the room.

Looking at the man in front of him Komatsu calculated his chance of winning at less than one percent. With a slight sigh he slid his feet apart slightly, relaxing himself down into an almost crouch as he brought his hands up in fists to a weary position between blocking and attacking, "Tenkage-sama I don't think I will give you a very good challenge but I shall do my best." Slipping forward the boy ran forward leaving wet footprints in long strides as he closed the distance between himself and the man that stood before him. Bringing himself lower he tossed out a swift right jab looking to make contact with the Tenkage's inner elbow, hoping he could put enough force behind the attack to maybe incapacitate the joint enough to cause a slowing of the reflexes in his opponent. Feinting back the right jab he smiled softly, bringing his left hand across at his opponents left cheek, "rah!" He danced backwards on his feet carefully keeping himself moving in smaller little circles, trying to back up out of the man's reach before even seeing if his blow's had even landed, this would be a very defensive fight.

As the boy stepped over the puddle of water, it quickly evaporated. It was not hot enough to hurt but, as the steam rushed over his face and obscured his vision, it gave Zachariah to sprint around to the other side of the boy, avoiding every single attack he had wanted to preform. "Oh come now, you can do better!" he would say. He voice was tinged with both sincerity and sarcasm, a sound that would be hard to speculate as to its meaning. Twice would his pack release a puff of smoke, the first for a staff, but not any one, one with chainsaws at either end. Of course, they were not activated. The saws would likely be too powerful for the boy to withstand. He did not know this for sure, but it was a likely guess. The second puff released motes into the air. It would be impossible to see them, however, and they would cause no damage to the boy, nor anyone else for that matter. The two puffs from the auto scroll scroller would be so closely timed that being able to differentiate them at his level of skill would herald him a miracle worked.

Komatsu shifted his stance slightly, flinching back at the sudden appearance of a staff. Okay chances of winning steadily going down. Looking about quickly he dropped his left hand down, kicking a short coil of the burned rope into his hands. Coiling it first about one fist then the other he smiled, pulling the two feet of rope taught before charging forward, sliding his hands forward in an attempt to quickly knock the staff backwards towards the Tenkage. Rotating his arms slightly Komatsu pushed off the weapon bringing the rope up once again, maybe if he timed it right the boy would be able to use the power behind the larger mans swing to catch behind the chainsaws and wrest it free. Tightening the muscles in his legs Komatsu changed his grip on the rope, a measly weapon before a chainsaw staff but it would have to do. Komatsu anxiously wound the rope tighter between his hands, trying to relax his upper body enough to keep himself from taking the full brunt of the attacks to come on his frame, and instead shift them just enough to be misses or slight grazes.

Zachariah started spinning the staff. Then he jabbed it down to the ground, jumping at the same time. He would be jumping forward, flipping in the air, and bringing the staff down on the boy. It would likely be held back by the rope, seeing as he was not actually trying to hurt the boy, but it would likely also push him back. For a scare factor, as he pushed forward, he would briefly power the saws, making sure they were not in contact with the boys flesh, nor his own, first. A quick manuever, meant only to scare him.

Komatsu held his ground letting the staff almost contact his flesh. Wincing the boy slid backwards along the floor under the weight of the attack. The rope caught for a moment in the blade of the saw and was shredded. Gulping Komatsu took a few more steps back, bringing his hands up to try and keep his defense up. Stepping backwards a few more steps Komatsu kicked a few coils of the rope up at Zachariah, stepping forward behind the distraction he swung his right fist across at the mans inner elbow.
The boy jumped back landing in a crouch and bringing up another coil of rope from the floor to be used as an impromptu shield against the whirling staff of the Tenkage. Standing slowly he kept his muscles relaxed to absorb any incoming attacks with more ease than if he kept the muscles tight. This fight would be difficult the man moved much faster than he had expected, and the strength behind the staff was even more frightening than the buzzing blades.
