Xyxer smiled as the boy had noticed him, he had not been wearing his ANBU clothing that day. He was looking forward to the action he expected from the spar, but something went terribly, terribly wrong. The boy had begun to fall straight onto a kunai, and from this angle Xyxer knew this would almost certainly be a killing blow. He tried to move his body to help the boy, but it was useless. He was involuntarily paralyzed from the shock of what was happening. His heart skipped a beat. He had had so many hopes for this boy. He was meant to be the one to induct him into the Seven Swordsmen. He was supposed to be the boy's trainer. But all of this had faded away within a matter of seconds because of a simple mistake. Xyxer recalled that stormy night when he met the boy on the end of a pier. He helped him train, and they had said they'd spar again.. but that would never be.
Hearing the painful screams of the boy, something that Xyxer wasn't used to happened. A single tear ran down the cheek of Xyxer, followed by another, and another.. Was he crying? The bandages covering his right eye were now damp.. His mouth threatened to distort as did his throat. But he fought against it. Instead, he fought against the feelings in his muscles that had made them stiff. He forced himself to stumble towards the boy that had died because of him. If he did not come here, the boy would have lived. Was he a symbol of darkness? A symbol of bad luck? He dropped onto his knees next to the body of the boy and looked down into the boy's eyes; lifeless. He dragged his hands along the boy's eyes in a swiping motion, shutting them as Xyxer believed that was the only way for a body to be given peace. He turned his head and had noticed the other boy had seemed to have fallen unconscious, which was good on these conditions. Not bothering to move the other boy, he quickly lifted Shino up onto his shoulder, pulled the kunai out, wiped it off and put it with Rin's other ninja equipment as if nothing had happened. Concentrating on all of his speed, he made a single hand seal and began to body flicker; his body moving at an untraceable speed to everybody in the village so nobody knew that he was in fact carrying the body of a deceased Genin.
This was all his fault..
