The Rise of the Sky

Today was the day of the First Annual celebration of the Rise of the Sky Nation. While it may have been called something else in the letters, this was its final name. The letters said that the location of the festivities would be the fourteenth floor gym of Tower 041. As such, it was decorated, and a stage was constructed. Streamers hung from the ceiling, and a large table filled with (nonalcoholic) drinks of all kinds, plus several snack foods, stood just feet from the wall to the left of the stage, if you were looking the direction the stage faces. On the other side is a setup of musical instruments for the musical group told about in the letters sent to all ninja of the village of Tengakure. Attendance was mandatory, excluding things that would make it impossible such as illness or being far away and unable to return. The festivities were to be enjoyed by all, so the letter stated, and it would be a shame for anyone to miss it. The letter, sent to all ninja of Tengakure a week ago, hyped the event, and would hopefully bring everyone in for a day of fun and relaxation. It also excused all individuals from missions for the week prior to the event. Zachariah stood on the stage, waiting for his fellow ninja to arrive to the party, watching one of two doors opposite the stage, the only one that led to the elevator. The other door led to a side room used to store equipment, and lied behind the stage.

For the past week or so Shinji had been getting pretty wound up over the Rise of the Sky Nation festival. In fact with all the time he had off due to the lack of missions he had been helping his neighborhood get in the spirit of things by putting up decorations. Moreover an impromptu competition was started up among Shinji's neighbors to see who could make the most elaborate decorations. In the end it came to an all out tie, which, in Shinji's mind, was probably for the better as it probably would have come to blows otherwise. The whole week had been leading up to a grand party, which was where Shinji was headed now.

He stood in the elevator that lead up to the fourteenth floor with a babbling group of academy students. Unfortunately Shinji had been unable to get in touch with any of his friends so he was left to go to the party alone. Finally after what felt like an entirety, but was in reality about a minute the elevator reached the fourteenth floor and allowed its occupants to spill out and into a hallway. Letting out a deep breath Shinji followed the wave of academy students as they spilled into the gym.

Upon entering the room Shinji's eyes shoot straight to the stage. He was quite excited to see the band that was to be playing. The band had made quite a name for themselves in Tengakure as one of the best: "The Shuriken Shredders." Unfortunately Shinji saw only a man who looked like he could have been a part of the metal band, but was clearly not as he did not hold an instrument or seem to be all that into singing or rather screaming his lungs out. Though the man did look familiar, but Shinji could not quite put his finger on it, so instead of looking like a stick in the mud he made a beeline for the refreshments. Alas even that simple idea had been foiled as he had to wait in line-a minor problem when inviting the whole village to a party. On the upside Shinji was right behind a rather nice looking girl, so he passed the time in line chatting her up with all the skill and finesse of a fox.

Arthur Pendragon shoots out of bed late in the morning, he glances at a simple clock and with wide eyes and a gasp he dashes from his bedside getting dressed and attaching his equipment to his hips and back respectively his black tunic and red sneakers clashing quite stylishly as he hops down the stairs the servants already running behind him in states of disheveled dress and upkeep.

He runs past the servants and past the stables whistling by placing his fingers of his left hand in his mouth, as the whistle is let out a Black Horse dashes from the stables and gallops behind Arthur who leaps upwards as the Horse dashes faster landing perfectly in the saddle of his horse Agro before gripping the reigns and letting his feet kick at her sides and whip the reigns with an exclamation of "KIYA!!!" He shouts the horse galloping faster down the road the servants running behind...their quite late as it is.

It takes almost an hour to reach the destination and Arthur riding Agro dashes through the doors of the elevator large enough to hold both him and his horse just as a blonde boy enters..he pays no mind to the boy and merely waits both him and his horse remaining composed and 'proper' looking their heads held high.

When the elevator doors open His horse begins trotting forward Arthur ducking the railing and holding his head high before he hops from his horse and taking hold of the reigns leads it into the crowd to wait for their Ki- Kage's declaration.

Zachariah would notice that, despite the event having lasted a long period of time, none of the people he had truly wanted to attend had attended. He then decided to make an announcement. "People of Tengakure! We celebrate our rise to a nation on this day, and shall in years to come. However, I beg forgiveness, but the band was unable to make it due to scheduling errors, and I must bid you farewell for the time being. Please partake of the food and beverage, and enjoy yourself as uch as you can, it is a day to celebrate!" He turned around and made his way out the back door. He had to contemplate the situation. And contact someone.

Shinji had finally made it through the line of villagers to the refreshments. Once there he grabbed a plate of sushi and went to find a place to stand in the crowd. Finding a spot next to a man and a horse, which struck Shinji as just a wee bit odd. Listening as the man on stage spoke it hit Shinji like a dangerous wall of earth: the man speaking was the Tenkage. Unfortunately Shinji had little time to scold himself for forgetting such an important face, because the news the Tenkage brought was dire: there was no freaking band! Feeling slightly ripped off Shinji decided it was time to go-the band had been one of the only reasons he was going. Taking his whole plate of sushi with him Shinji gave the man and his horse a wide berth as he went on his way. In another minute he was in the elevator again heading home-he had some after parties to get ready for.

Arthur mingles a bit one strange boy giving him and his Aggro some strange looks, he returns the look with a slight glare..who was he to judge him and his horse?

With a 'hmph' he turns his head and listens to the declaration of the Tenkage...his left eye twitches at the implications, his rush being pointless and his presence wasted..

He'll have to have words with this band at a later date for ruining his expectations.

With the gathering of some food including a few apples for his horse he and his just arriving servants who voice their annoyance quite audibly leave the towers to return home.
