The Knights from Seperate Kings[Private, NK.]

As his ploy works Arthur's left hand goes across his waist and draws his sword running wind chakra through the blade as it comes across his body to rest at his side ready to swing forward in his duel with a demigod.

His eyes are set like a lion defending his territory and as the chakra threaded kunai is slashed at Arthur he takes a step forward his right hand lashing forward gripping the handle of the kunai as it nears him instantly tugging backwards and swinging up with his raven colored blade coated in wind chakra attempting to sever the connection between the kunai and the shi no tenshi thread, if this act should go through Arthur charges Katon chakra through the Kunai and then with a downward swing of his right hand flings it towards the boy aiming for his center of mass.

Suddenly, the Knight speaks "I am the Bone of my Sword."

Wind chakra pulses through his opponent's blade, an interesting show, but surprising to see that the boy doesn't take full advantage of his other chakra natures. With his dojutsu Navi can see that the man is also proficient in the natures of Lightning and Fire, curious that the man didn't strengthen his blade with those elements as well. The only reason he could think of was that the man was attempting to conserve chakra, a strategy that made Navi a little bit bored.

The man grabs the handle of the knife in this whip like motion, a strange move since there is chakra surrounding the entire weapon. Fortunately for him, the aura is much less powerful and effective at the area on the handle, and since the two duelists have mirroring chakra natures, he must have been able to tolerate and diffuse a portion of it in order to grip it where he did.

The next movement is made, the man attempting to sever the connection between him and his kunai by cutting the thread. Plenty of reaction time is given for Navi to pulse chakra through and make the thread uncuttable, or even razor sharp, but instead he lets the action occur. With the thread severed and Arthur grasping the kunai, the weapon is charged with Katon energy and flung at Navi.

Immediately upon leaving Arthur's grasp, the blade is perceived by Navi with a bored glance. The weapon's fire aura is dissipated immediately with a slight hand gesture, a result of the man's mastery of the Katon element. The handle of the incoming blade is caught before any contact to his person is made, the trajectory halted as he precisely threads a finger through the loop of the knife, causing it to spin around ineffectually.

Navi put the kunai away now, wondering how much he has to nerf himself to fight this man of Jounin level status. Fortunately, something about the battle that had occurred so far gave him a nostalgic pang. It reminded him of his past before joining the ANBU, an enjoyable time in his ninja life where sparring was a passion of his.

Suddenly, the Knight speaks "I am the Bone of my Sword."

Navi puts both of his hands in his pockets now, a puzzled look on his face as he raises a single brow in casual curiosity.

While watching to see if his dialogue progresses into anything interesting, a question is asked.

"Yo, What's your name?"

"Steel is my body and fire is my blood..." Arthurs voice seems to echo before he pauses as the man asks his name, Arthur sighs his stance still prepared for a fight.

"Pendragon, Arthur Pendragon." he says brimming with slight pride in his clans name, renown for their strange fighting style and way with unorthodox blades.

Their secret technique he was about to unleash however is a mystery to all.

"And your name Sir Kni- Shinobi-san?" He catches himself on his slip a smile forming upon his face..maybe this was slightly more friendly then he first thought out...what with the attempted impalement...Arthur believes wholeheartedly that this Shinobi could have killed him if he decided so...however why instigate an outright act of war like that??

The nations aren't combined but their relatively friendly at the moment...no need to instigate further fighting.

The boy continues with the strange ritualistic chant for a few moments before stopping, mentioning his name upon the request.

Upon hearing it Navi lights up a little bit, remembering reading about the strange Pendragon lineage in the past. The Pendragon family was a strange one, a group of fighters that thought of themselves as knights rather then ninja. Despite their less then conventional fighting style, Navi recognized the name more because of the implied proficiency in Kenjutsu that came with the Pendragon name, similar to the Yamaki and their legendary skill with blades.

"A member of the Pendragon family huh? .... Cool," he trails off a little bit, trying to recall more about the clan but not much was coming to mind.

As what appears to be an act of courtesy, Arthur returns the same question to Navi. He withdraws his left hand from his pocket, a thread bursting outward from his fingertip and reaching to grab hold a nearby stick. Navi flicks his wrist, causing the stick to grapple into the grasp of his hand. A small application of chakra is applied, causing the stick to transform into a normal sized katana.

He was a man of many names, so it was always difficult to tell how famous he was. Operative Ferret? Angel of Death? Was he better known as the Guardian Angel of Konoha? Maybe his layman's title of Navi the Swift? Maybe it would be better if he just gave his first and last name and see how far his reputation reached.

"Navi Yamaki."

He rests the katana on his shoulder now, prepared to enter into slightly more intense kenjutsu combat as a nostalgic test of prowness against a man who by all normal standards would be considered an exceptional foe. Normally Navi killed Sky Nation ninja on sight, it was a strange feeling to fight one without the intent to kill. However, even though there was a league of power between them, didn't mean that some level of entertainment couldn't be had from a playful duel.

That name sounded familiar to the Knight, his clans mastery of swords and weapons along with their noble-esque standing made it necessary for himself as the head of the clan to read up on many Kenjutsu practitioner clans.

The Hozuki, Hoshigaki being some of the ones native to Sky.

The Yamaki were of the Leaf Village, and along with having a powerful Kekkai Genkai in Raven Style they were avid Kenjutsu practitioners.

"The Ravens have descended eh?" He asks with an amused upward quirking of the corner of his lips his eyes taking a warmer aspect, he has no grudge against the Fire Nation or any of it's Shinobi he only cares about being strong and bringing honor to his clan name.

The Clan of Lions they were called as the clan often boasts about being of Kings and Lords of their former homeland...He often wonders if his families homeland still exists...

His soul often yearns for Camelot...

"Well, let's keep the duel going shall we?" He says idly taking two steps back switching the blade to his right hand which rests at his side his muscles tensing and preparing to swing.

"It's not often I'm allowed more then simple training droids"

"The Ravens have descended eh?"

Navi perks up a little bit upon the mention of the Yamaki Kekkei Genkai. Good to know that the Yamaki name still holds a little weight to those who practice kenjutsu. He doesn't active his bloodline now though, for Navi has progressed in power to a point that the mere activation might hurt and crush opponent due to the thickness of chakra in the air.


Arthur speaks as an invitation to continue the duel, one which Navi accepts with a slight smile and a half-joking bow.

"Well then, let's continue"

Navi blurs forward, aiming several slashes with his katana at the man's center with considerable speed. He expects that each of these attacks will be parried without too much trouble, but this is merely an opening move to get the blood flowing so that they can begin.

Arthur's stance is firm as the Yamaki rushes forward and prepares to initiate a slash towards his chest, his legs tense and as the Yamaki swings towards Arthur's chest he ducks the swing and with a burst of speed lunges forward as the Yamaki's double handed swing leaves him open to counter from the follow through, Arthur's left fist shoots forward aimed towards the Yamaki's unguarded side which if un-avoided will send the man stumbling backwards with the pain of Arthur's fist impacting his ribs.

Arthur's left leg is firm against the ground in a bent position as the punch is thrown his straight positioning made so he may attack forward his right leg extended behind him also placed against the ground his left leg tensed to push backwards and his sword hand still ready as he leans well into the swift Shinobi's guard the Katana's tsuba in a position above his shoulder with the swing making it fly away from him with navi's momentum preventing any counter-measure via the sword.

The fist shoots forward towards Navi seemingly vulnerable form. His body blurs backward just slightly out of range, without any personal physical momentum applied. With the precise activation of his agility skill, Navi manipulated the wind currents to push himself out of range of Arthur's attack. This evasion was most likely confusing to Arthur, as this movement appeared to be impossible and triggered with almost no physical movement. The dodge also allows for Navi to slightly reset his stance and avoid further attacks from Arthur, while maintaining the same strength with his blade's previous attack.

With Navi's continued momentum of the previous swing, the trajectory of his blade now flows downwards towards Arthur's currently ineffectual and outstreched hand. His root strengthens and turns slightly, allowing the momentum of this swing to be faster and evasive movement with the arm to be nearly impossible due to the sword's already speedy trajectory. Furthermore, this stance allows for a counterattack to be more easily parried as the downwards motion of the blade's flow arcs to cover Navi's form for a movement of both offensive and defensive value.

As the Shinobi vanishes and reappears farther into his view with the Katana swinging downwards Arthur's eyes widen and his training and instincts give him a quick reaction.

Ducking his head down and tucking his chin in while allowing his weight to drop forward his back is forced forward more as the blade comes down, now impacting against the shield that Arthur reinforced prior strapped to his back the tip of the blade glancing downward from the shields design sliding almost harmlessly away from doing damage to Arthur.

His sword hand clenched in a fist to hold the blade impacts the ground as his body rocks from the blow forcing him to tense his muscles to keep from falling completely to the ground.

His left hand still outstretched from the punch slightly forms an open palm as a sign to pause.

After a moment he glances upwards "What in the root of all creation was THAT!?" He asks obviously pointing to the strange technique used earlier. "I felt a gust...I definitely felt a gust of wind!" if the blade is moved away Arthur stands and narrows his left eye while his right eyebrow raises. "I suppose we didn't set any rules but I figured swords and swords alone would be involved."

Navi grins, the attack successfully blocked by the man but not without the cost of him falling to the ground. Arthur stops Navi from moving in to take advantage of this positioning however, holding his outstretched palm out as if to pause the duel.

"What in the root of all creation was THAT!?" He asks obviously pointing to the strange technique used earlier. "I felt a gust...I definitely felt a gust of wind!" if the blade is moved away Arthur stands and narrows his left eye while his right eyebrow raises. "I suppose we didn't set any rules but I figured swords and swords alone would be involved."

He blinks a few times with confusion in response. Navi had fought many people in his career, but he couldn't ever recall a time where someone basically told him to pause, and that he was being unfair. Normally Navi might have laughed and killed his opponent immediately upon hearing the request, but his mindset was currently in that of a friendly duel/spar.

"Um... my fighting style is sort of based off ninjutsu and tricks, sorry."

He scratches his head for a second, confused that he was now making ground rules for how he was going to fight this Sky Ninja. This day had already proven to be very strange and unconventional. Navi was a man that had been raised in the Black Ops to kill for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It had been a long time since he had a fight with someone that didn't involve lethal force.

"Alright, I guess we can fight with a level playing field if you'd like."

Another thread bursts from Navi's finger, the opening movement to an action which grapples another stick into his hand. With the application of a small amount of chakra again, he creates a katana that is entirely identical to the one he just created in his other hand. He tosses this replicated weapon to Arthur, the two shinobi now would be armed with two mirroring weapons.

Despite his superior abilities and enormous advantages, a duel with a complete and fundamental root in only kenjutsu might be more interesting. Arthur was clearly skilled in his form and ability with a sword, perhaps to an even greater extent and specialization then Navi himself.
