The Journey {Solo training/travel topic.}

Kio would lay there in his bed, sighing. He had been training for quite sometime now and, according to his own opinion, he had barely gotten stronger. He sighed, thinking. He had made some progress when it came to mastering his clan techniques. He had began to slowly learn a technique which allowed for him to turn himself partially into a ghost, a somewhat wonderful technique used by the first Kio Okinaga in existence. Though he existed around two hundred, or so years ago, according to Okinaga's history, though it may be wrong. He remembered the time his parents were around, when his mother, another member of the Okinaga clan was training Kio to one day obtain the powers of Kio Okinaga the first. His mother had been obsessed with the powers, if she couldn't have them she believed no one could, after finding out she didn't have the powers, or the other ability, and all she could do was see ghosts, she fell into a depression, a power hungry depression. After Kio had been born she wanted him to obtain the powers, only she could know why. Perhaps it was to take the powers, in some way, from Kio. This topic was something Kio often wondered about after finding out he had the ability of the Ghost Transformation Technique.
He sighed continuing to think about it. He laid down on his bed looking up on the ceiling, thinking, deciding not to let the thought about what his mother would have done with Kio's GHost Transformation technique linger in his head. He began to think about what he would do next, perhaps attempt to rank up. The Chuunin Exams? He wondered.. thinking about those exams. Every now and then Kumogakure genin had been sent to the chuunin exams over in Konohagakure, usually in teams but occasionally there would be that lone wolf sent to the chuunin exams, and once they return, mostly all had been eliminated in the exams. It had been rather sad for most families to accept, the death of their loved child, brother, sister, or whatever else was on the long list. He wondered, should he enter? He got up, thinking, in a slight depression. He was tired, tired of life here in Kumogakure. He currently had virtually no allies, no friends, no comrades. He sighed, noticing he had a few, at least one enemy. The one his clone had encountered, out in the borders of Kumogakure. He had attempted to kill him, really, had intended to kill an ally, a Kumogakure genin, however only killed a highly explosive clone. He could tell he was still alive, seeing as he knew the clone had been hit by a weapon, most likely a ranged one. Now that man was most likely coming for Kio, he needed to leave, soon. Yes, yes, leave Kumogakure, there was nothing here for him, yet anyways. Wait, no. He decided not to, instead he would go to the chuunin exams over in Konohagakure and conquer over them, win successfully, down to every last event, always coming on top of everyone else, yes. And then on his way back, he would go his own way, not returning to Kumogakure but instead going to one of the other villages perhaps, or turning to a life as a Nuke Nin. Though, there was the chance he may not be able to survive... out there alone in the world.. he sighed, noting that as a highly likely possibility, death. Though it was a chance worth taking, he assumed. He began to pack his things, ready for the chuunin exams.
He put on a backpack, inside most of his clothing, enough to live with. And a few cans of canned food, most of which he quite enjoyed. He packed a few bowls, which purposes were meant for cooking the ramen he packed which were in small packages. He began to think, was he missing anything? Other than the stuff he looked over, his food clothing and bowls, he had more, and seemed to have everything he would need. He got out a piece of paper and wrote on his door, 'heading for the chuunin exams.' He activated his technique after locking his front door and every other entrance into his home. He became intangible, and began to fly downwards, down into the mountain. He passed through a few caves going down at rapid speeds. He then lifted up, heading, just above the ground's normal level, flying forward towards the Land of Fire. It had only been but a few minutes and he's already made quite the progress for traveling, already nearly a mile away from the village, and it seemed that no one had come to get him...
He continued to fly more and more away from the village, soon enough his technique would begin to give out, he would rest, there on the ground. He had stopped completely, standing on the ground. He had passed through a few mountains before stopping, while his technique was still active. He would sit there on the ground, thinking, wondering if he should really turn to be a missing nin, go off into a new village and call that his home, or return to Kumogakure... He knew mostly about Kumogakure's history, rather than any other village, which may, unlikely but may grant him an advantage in the future, somehow.
He sighed, continuing. Not even a second passed and he would activate his technique once more, flying at high speeds. He continued towards the Land of Fire, towards the great village of Konohagakure, where the chuunin exams had been held often. Soon enough he would arrive in the forest of Konohagakure, he decided to stop and rest there, seeing as he was somewhat out of energy. Well not energy, but he feared that if he wouldn't stop now and he continued the technique his chakra would be depleted and he would die. He stopped now, not being able to use really anything over an E ranking technique. He took out a single Katana blade, a Katana. he had two, one being sheathed in the scabbard that was laying down next to his backpack. He would listen, slowly waiting for a leaf to fall. He would look around, his eyes focusing around, looking for a falling leaf to cut. He would attempt to cut it before it would hit the ground, a simple way to try and enhance his speed as a shinobi. He would notice, a group of leaves falling pretty much at the same time though in different places, each at twenty feet away from each other. He dashed for the first one he saw, readying his blade, ready to cut the leaf in half. He would swing the blade, quickly and silently, the leaf being cut. He turned around, in the same direction to where he swung his blade, and headed for the other few leaves. He dashed, readying his blade once more, ready to cut the leaves which fell together, there were a few more away from this group. He kept the blade away from his body, at a safe distance. He swung the blade silently and quickly, cutting two leaves in half. He looked over at the next group and dashed for him, at the same time readying his blade, keeping it away from him. He began to think on how this was just pointless work, though he needed to train to allow his chakra to regenerate. Well, he didn't NEED to, more like WANTED to do something while it did so. He was growing more tired, as he continued for a few hours. He could feel his chakra being at it's max, he slowly sheathed his blade, then packed up. he put on his backpack, which remained where it was the entire time, and grabbed his other scabbard containing his Katana. Everything had been in his backpack, it weighed the same, and he even checked before putting it on. Not that he needed to worry about thieves. He smiled, the time when he would become a chuunin seemed to finally be arriving. He would rank up once more and claim more power for himself, gaining the knowledge that he was indeed growing stronger. Soon, soon, he would be able to take the exams and show himself just how much power he truly had, though, at the moment he felt as if he were an ant, and everyone else at his rank seemed to be giants. He was about to fix that, he was determined to. He headed off, for the road to the Chuunin Exams.
