Father and Son

The attack hurdled towards Gohan, the boy putting the last touches on his ball of Ki energy before shooting it forward in a similar motion. His right arm thrusts out, pushing the ball slightly faster with a last transfer of Ki power towards Goku, the trajectory of his projectile colliding with his father's mirroring attack a moment later. As expected, his father's attack was much more powerful, and upon the power clash, a plume of smoke erupts between the two Saiyans after each blast dissipates. A strong current and breeze pushes towards Gohan, a result of the beam having won out in the clash and the shock wave of the blast waving out towards the boy.

Unfaltered, the boy rushes forward into the cover of smoke that has been created, powering through the shock wave with a sturdy stance and quick legs. Moments later Gohan's form bursts from the clouds, yelling loudly at his father and unleashing a barrage of Taijutsu attacks towards his body.

His right fist begins by hurdling towards Goku's face and then entering a pattern of alternating his right and left fists at Goku's head while every third attack in the onslaught was aimed at Goku's center. The flurry of attacks would only stop if his dad countered him effectively or forced him away, the boy exhibiting his power as a Saiyan by mirroring a similar attacking pattern and fighting style as his father.

It was impressive that Gohan didn't let Goku's ki beam completely overpower his own beam of ki, the beams clashing and creating a large explosion. Although the explosion was closer to Gohan, so at first Goku waited to see what the result was of the explosion, a moment later Gohan burst out of the smoke flying straight at Goku with a rapid succession of taijutsu punches similar to the ones that Goku had done recently to knock Gohan off of the mountain. He could see the motivation that Gohan had and the urge his son seemed to have to fight on equal ground. Goku was fairly impressed with his son using his style of fighting and not giving up and actually go on the offensive.

Although Gohan's attacks were impressive, Goku's speed and strength were still too much for Gohan to match, not exactly overpowering Gohan easily, but it wasn't that hard to match Gohan's movements, nearly getting hit in the chest until he caught onto the pattern, his hands alternating to slap Gohan's fists back each time they came flying at him. 'That's my boy' he thought to himself about how much Gohan had grown and was determined to give it his all, shaking off all the attacks that Goku had launched.

"Kaio-Ken x20!" Goku yelled out while countering Gohan's punches, the act of blocking Gohan's attacks becoming increasing easier, almost effortless due to Goku's extreme increase in power and speed. This was his maximum power and he was going to see just how much Gohan was able to handle without actually killing him, all he wanted to do was see all of the limits Gohan had and see how much he was able to overcome them, of course he'd be powerless to fully overcome Goku at this point in his life, Goku could tell that Gohan was going to one day surpass him if he continued down this path. in the midst of countering Gohan, he took a step back and his right leg rose up and came around towards Gohan, slamming his right foot into Gohan's face. If not avoided, the attack wouldn't knock Gohan out or send him off the cliff, but due to the extra power and speed it would definitely slamming Gohan to the ground and probably cause him a lot of pain maybe even leave him dazed. The goal was turning into making Gohan push past his limits and tap into that potential power he had inside of him.

Each attack was easily dealt with by his father, the boy's attack pattern being quickly recognized and countered. Gohan's fighting spirit doesn't fade immediately however, his flurry of attacks only beginning to lose momentum upon hearing Goku yet again power up. Again he is overwhelmed in this fight, the scale of difficulty constantly ramping upwards with no sign of quitting or fading.

Upon seeing his father power up again, the young Saiyan begins to subtley make his moves more defensive. His elbows bend more for easy retraction in order to prepare for the inevitable counter he predicts will occur now. Goku would not have powered up if he wasn't planning on maintaining an offensive strategy, and Gohan's stance changes slightly to reflect this defensive tactic.

The weak punch was thrown, being countered immediately and leaving Gohan deceptively open for his father to launch an attack. Goku's right leg rises, the boy predicting the quick movement and rolling under the high kick with a smooth evasion. Attempting to block such a powerful attack would have most likely sent him hurdling off the cliff in this stage of Goku's form, and the only way to keep up with such speed was to predict the attacks before they came.

Gohan's leg shoots upwards from his smooth dodge, aimed for his father's chest while Goku remains seemingly vulnerable following the momentum of his kick. The boy wasn't entirely certain this attack would even hit when facing an opponent this powerful, but this movement would showcase a small amount of potential which he was desperate to show against his idolized father.
