Spar {Private, No kill, Nokidnap, Caesar}

Shotaro woke early in the day, the sun streaming through the window into his room. He would smile widely leaping from his bed. He would grab all of his items, he had been planning to leave the village for a long time and his grandpa had finally given him permission to do as he pleased. Shotaro exited his house, fully equiped to leave on his own. The 16 year old academy student would smile as he stared around himself. He would walk away from the village.

Shotaro had been traveling on the borders for some time. He was hoping to find another ninja to spar with. He would walk towards a tree in front of him, leaning against it slightly for support. He had heard of the dangers of the borders, so he would be sure to keep his gaurd up, he did not want to be caught off gaurd by someone. Still, being the friendly person that he was, he wanted to make friends if possible.

He would lean away from the tree waiting for someone he found interesting to approach him. He was prepared for a spar.

Messiah walks through the borders, still elated from his last spar against the unknown Konohagakure shinobi. No longer is he in the form of ‘Little Cindy’, the young girl whom he had transformed into using the Henge no Jutsu, he is back to his normal self. Messiah continues to walk, dragging the tip of his Heaven’s Sorrow Ninjato on the ground. He is moving south, towards the direction of an unknown village. Messiah has heard that this part of the borders is dangerous, but it does not phase him much, he is sure that whoever is down here he can handle without to much of a problem.

Messiah comes to a halt when he sees some kid leaning against a tree, scanning his surroundings. Messiah grins, deciding that this looks like an interesting person to spar with.

He raises his ninjato, pointing towards the kid, “Sup, I’m Messiah, do you want to spar?” As Messiah says this, he transforms two angelic, white feathered wings onto his back, enabling him to fly.

As he waits for a response, Messiah scans his surroundings, there are a few trees around, but the terrain is also very muddy and rocky, small rocks cover the ground, making clacking and crunching sounds whenever Messiah walks. He decides that this will be a good place to test out his new technique.

Shotaro would dig into his pocket pulling out a kunai, flipping it playfully in his left hand. He would hear a voice near him, turning around he would stare at the kid in front of him. He would ask him if he wanted to train. Shotaro would instantly reply, "Sure." Shotaro would begin to step forward, standing 10 meters away from the boy. He would then enter his fighting stance. His left leg in front of him, while his right leg was behind him planted firmly on the ground. He would raise the kunai in front of his face, holding it so that the point of the kunai pointed away from him, horizontally.

He would be slightly surprised when he saw the wings sprout from the boys back, this was indeed interesting. Though he would keep his surprised feelings inside of himself, not showing any emotion on the outside. The Nara clan was known for being smart in battle, he was just hoping he could live up to the name. "Ready." Shotaro would say, he wanted the kid to make the first move.

Messiah grins, hearing the boy’s eager reply. He decides that it might not be wise to engage in close combat at this point, as he preferred fighting shinobi who were unarmed. Messiah instead decides that he will lure the boy into throwing his kunai, so that he can then move in for the close range attack. Messiah grins, bending at the knees, still keeping is eyes on the boy. He fills his arms full of a couple dozen small, palm-sized stones, and then throws them into the air, right above Shotaru’s head. He is only 2 meters away from the boy, so this is not very difficult. The stones travel 5 or so meters into the air, and as they ascend, Messiah flaps his large wings, flying up with them. Messiah is at the level of the stones when they reach their peak and begin to arch down.

As they begin to arch, Messiah yells, “Let’s make it rain!”

Instantly, with 24 poofs of white smoke, the stones are transformed into kunai knives, their points facing downwards towards Shotaru. They encompass a span of 3 square meters, everywhere within 3 meters of Shotaru is in the path of a kunai. The pockets of space between the kunai are very small however, due to the number in the air. It will be very hard for Shotaru to avoid them, but it is definitely possible with a decent amount of skill and speed. The worst case scenario is that one, or maybe a few kunai slice into Shotaru, they are not moving fast enough to kill him however, just to do some moderate damage. If Shotaru is defeated this easily, he is not somebody that Messiah wants to fight anyway.

Shotaro remains calm, he watches as the boy throws stones above his head. 'What is the meaning of this?' Shotaro would think to himself, he would then watch as the boy sprung up, into the air his wings allowing him to do something that would be otherwise impossible, fly. Shotaro would now divert his attention away from the boy, taking his time to draw another kunai. He would hear the boy yell something, about raining. Shotaro would smile, though his smile would quickly fade as the stones transformed into kunai like knives. Shotaro would immediately begin to think of a plan around the situation he was in. There were very few options, the most logical would be to hold his ground. He stared upwards at the kunai, the amount that could impact him was 6. Though from the looks of the other kunai, there were many more that would land around him.

As the kunai fell towards him, with his left hand he would slice at two of the incoming kunai deflecting them off path the 2 kunai would slam into the ground. Shotaro would at the same time that he had raised his left hand, raise his right hand. His right hand would deflect 2 more kunai. Which left 2 more that could impact him. He could either let both of the kunai hit him, or he could deflect one and take his chances with the other one. His decison was made. While his left hand was still in the air he would deflect one of the kunai. The other kunai, he could not deflect, due to his right hand being at his side at the moment, he also was not fast enough due to the closeness of the kunai. The kunai would continue on its path Shotaro would change his location, stepping closer towards the tree he was next to. Though this still did not help much, the kunai would slice the the thigh of Shotaro wounding it slightly. It burned like crazy, but Shotaro would not let this interfere with the spar.

'My turn.' Shotaro would want to say. Though the kid was flying above him, Shotaro did not know what he could do on the offensive in this case. Throwing his kunai would be foolish, since the kid had a ninjato him using all of his weapons would leave him without anything. Instead he decided to stay on the ground. The technique the kid was using had to require chakra, therefore Shotaro figured it would not be soon before he would have to come to the ground and fight seriously. "Are you gonna stay up there all day?" Shotaro would say calmly, wincing a little as a sharp pain shot through his thigh where he had been cut. All around him, there were kunai on the ground, near shotaro there was a single kunai at his feet, the only one that had managed to hit him. The kid was definately smart, Shotaro would be sure not to underestimate him.

Messiah grinned as the boy pulled out another kunai and deflected 5 of the 6 knives that were on the path to hit him, but there was one that the boy had no chance of dodging or deflecting. The 6th kunai sliced into the boy’s thigh, probably causing him a good deal of pain. The kid was certainly smart, possessing good strategic ability; he thought fast on his feet and was able to avoid most of the kunai. Messiah merely grinned as the boy beckoned him to come down to the ground, but Messiah could hold this transformation forever if he felt like it, that’s how well he had the Henge no Jutsu mastered, he did not plan on dispersing his wings any time soon. Instead, Messiah begins to think of a new course of action for this battle. The boy seems to have good battle tactic skills, but how does he measure up in close combat?

Messiah changes the form of his wings so that they are metallic and much more aerodynamic, designed for swooping down at high speeds from high places rather than maintaing constant flight like a bird. His wings transform so that they are similar in structure to the wings on an airplane. Messiah’s wings catch a gust of southbound wind, and he angles his body so that he is swooping downwards in a smooth arch towards Shotaru. He holds his right arm, with the ninjato, outwards, fully extended, giving him extra length. He will swoop down just to the left of Shotaru, the blade of his ninjato on course to slice the boy in half. Messiah can be a safe distance away from the boy as well, since his ninjato and arm give him the length he needs for his strike to connect without him having to be in close quarters with the boy. This will make it unlikely for the boy to hit him with an attack, without throwing one of his kunai that is. The wind catching in Messiah’s aerodynamic wings will make Messiah, who is already superior in speed, even faster, making it so that he swoops down with great speed and force. This will make it unlikely for Shotaru to dodge the attack.

Also, kunai are digging into the ground by their points all around the boy, and since Shotaru will be focusing on Messiah’s attack and trying to counter it, he will probably not be paying too much attention to the hilts of the kunai. There are multiple kunai around his feet in all 4 directions, the 5 that he had deflected lie in very close proximity to him. If he steps to the side or forwards without noticing, he will trip on one of the hilts. Behind him a few kunai dig into the ground as well; Shotaru will have to be very careful where he places his feet. This was Messiah’s ultimate goal, he did not plan on many of the kunai actually hitting Shotaru, rather, he meant to narrow the boy’s field of motion and his options for dodging.

Now, Messiah certainly does not plan on actually slicing his sparring partner in half. He merely wishes to set himself up for a better close combat position. Messiah anticipates that Shotaru will block his ninjato with one of his kunai, thereby deflecting the strike that could be fatal. The whole maneuver is half hearted and Messiah performs it with less strength than necessary, so it will not be too hard to deflect. Messiah is really hoping that Shotaru will try to dodge the attack and trip over one of the kunai, where Messiah could then pin him to the ground. If it looks like the boy is not going to get out of the way of the strike or deflect it quickly enough, Messiah will halt, as he does not want to seriously injure or kill this potential new friend. Messiah is hoping that the boy will either waste his kunai, or trip to the ground, putting him in a very vulnerable position.

Shotaro would stare at the boy, as he upgraded his wings. They were now metallic, for his young age he seemed to have the skills of a veteran. Shotaro would remain calm, his frame would tense as the boy swooped down towards him. Shotaro would quickly scan his surroundings, he would step backwards slightly, his heel brushing against an unknown object. He would stare down at his feet, his entire area of movement was prohibited, he was caught in the boys trap.

Shotaro would establish a firm grip on his kunai in his right hand, he was prepared to throw it if he needed to do so. His eyes watching the moves of the boy carefully as he swooped down, he was traveling at an incredible speed. 'What should I do?' Shotaro would think to himself, he was not willing to call it quits just yet. The ninjato of the boy was now drawing closer and closer. Shotaro could almost feel death approaching him and it was.

Shotaro would wait for the ninjato to draw closer to him. Once it was within distance, Shotaro would with his left hand strike downwards on the ninjato with his kunai. Causing the ninjato to steer off course, grazing the ground out of harms way of Shotaro. After this action, with his right hand he would throw the kunai which he held it in, at the head of the boy. The kunai was aiming to strike the boy directly in the center of his forhead. The boy probably would not be able to dodge the kunai by shielding his wing in front of him, due to his wings being made of metal and Shotaro figured if he did bend his wings it would be like hurting himself in a way. Shotaro did not want to kill him, he did nothing wrong to him to deserve such an end. All shotaro wanted to do was show him that he was capable to fight with him on an almost equal level. He was also interested in seeing the way the boy would dodge the kunai.

If the boy dodged the kunai, which Shotaro was hoping he would. Shotaro would take this time to leap 5 meters to his right, away from the layer of kunai which filled the ground. Once and if he he was able to get this far away from the boy he would stand his ground, prepared for another assault. It was evident that the kid had the upperhand in this battle. "Whats your name?" Shotaro would say if he was able to gain this distance between the two of them.

Messiah grinned as Shotaro stepped backwards and his foot bumped against one of the kunai in the ground. Messiah thought that the boy was going to choke, and that he would have to stop his swoop, to avoid killing his opponent. But, he should not have underestimated Shotaro, he should have known that the boy would come up with a way to avoid the maneuver. He looks from his peripheral vision, as he is already directly in line with Shotaro, his right arm trailing slightly behind him with his ninjato. He sees Shotaro deflecting the ninjato with his left hand, the hand closest to Messiah, and the tip trails against the ground, Messiah pulls the ninjato out of the way to avoid slicing the boy’s feet out from under him, since he had deflected the sword in such a way that the blade would be heading for his ankles if Messiah continued on his path. Shotaro would then have to twist around in order to accomplish an angle by which he could hit Messiah with his kunai. Messiah saw this out of his peripheral vision as well, he could see the right hand prepping to throw the kunai.

Messiah, with a simple thought, angles his wings so that they slant slightly downwards, the wind will catch in the aerodynamic wings, angling Messiah so that he swoops downwards until his face is nearly grazing the tips of the kunai that are imbedded in the ground. This will cause Messiah to swoop under the oncoming kunai, causing it to fall harmlessly to the ground after traveling a few meters. Messiah will then angle his wings back up, swooping into a nearby tree just as Shotaro asks him his name.

Messiah flashes a wide, white grin at Shotaro, waving as if he has just met the boy, “My name is Messiah, you’re a really good fighter. Not many other people of our rank fight on my level. What’s your name?”

Messiah’s wings will transform back into their angelic state as he waits, he decides that he will let Shotaro have the next attack in this spar.

Shotaro would be staring down at his thigh, where the kunai from earlier had managed to hit him earlier, just when the boy responded to his question. "Messiah, huh. It is difficult fighting you." Shotaro would say, he would be a little embarased that someone younger than him had managed to peak his level of thinking during a battle. "My name is Shotaro." He would reply. He would watch as Messiah's wings transformed into the state they were in before. He expected him to attack him again, for he had been the more aggresive on in this battle, but instead it appeared he was testing Shotaro to attack first this time.

Shotaro wished more than ever that he had a sword, it would enable him to fight better, than with a simple kunai. Though the kunai still did its job most of the time, so Shotaro could not complain. He would have to use what he had.

Shotaro would accept this challenge, stepping forwards slightly, he would break out into a sprint towards Messiah who stood on the branch of a tree. Shotaro would bend slightly while running, lifting a kunai from the ground he would throw it not at Messiah, but at the tree the boy was sitting on. It would slam into the tree, producing a thud sound. Shotaro would leap towards the tree, his right leg extended. His foot would temporarily press against the kunai, before he quickly pushed off of the kunai sending him forwards towards the branch the boy stood on. He would be standing, directly in front of him kunai in hand. He would run towards Messiah, with his left hand he would attempt to slam the kunai into the chest of the boy, he doubted such an action would land against Messiah.

Messiah grinned, the boy certainly did intrigue him. Perhaps he was not as vile as Messiah perceived many people, this guy actually seemed pretty cool. Messiah’s grin widens into a smile as the boy breaks into a brisk sprint, running towards the tree Messiah is in. Messiah has to stifle a laugh as Shotaro picks up one of Messiah’s ‘kunai’ from the ground. The boy seems to have forgotten that they are merely stones, transformed into kunai knives by Messiah. He is in for disappointment if he thinks he is going to be able to use Messiah’s own creation against him.

The ‘kunai’ is thrown, burying itself into the tree with a dull, thwacking sound. Messiah decides not to disperse this simple transformation just yet, he will wait and see what the boy is planning to do first. The boy really buries himself when he attempts to use this ‘kunai’ as a foothold. Shotaro briefly puts his weight on one foot, attempting to use the ‘kunai’ to hoist himself higher up into the tree; however, just as the weight is shifted and Shotaro’s foot touches the kunai, Messiah disperses the transformation with a simple thought, and the kunai is transformed back into a palm sized stone with a poof of white smoke.

The stone will skid down the trunk of the tree, not having a point or sharp edge to support itself any longer. Most likely it will take Shotaro with it, as he had been attempting to use it as a foothold. This will cause Shotaro to lose his balance, plummeting back towards the ground, and due to simple physics and the laws of inertia, Shotaro will probably smack his head against the tree on his way down. This will not have enough force to seriously injure the kid, but it will probably draw blood and give him a pounding headache.

Messiah will feel a bit bad for doing this, even he will admit that this is a dick move. But Messiah has been known to be ruthless and brutal in combat. Shotaro does not lose any stock in Messiah’s mind however, his ingenuity and battle tactic has still been razor sharp thus far. How was he supposed to know about Messiah’s complete mastery over the Henge no Jutsu? Messiah will grin, still proud of himself for gaining the upper hand over this boy, who is clearly older than Messiah. Most of it has been done using one simple jutsu, making Messiah even more proud. If he can accomplish this level of combat with one simple jutsu, what will he be able to do when he begins to learn more powerful and complex techniques? The possibilities are endless.

Messiah will wait once again for Shotaro to recover and make the next move. Messiah’s tricks are almost all used up now, and he wonders how much longer he can hold off Shotaro. What if the boy has merely been underplaying his abilities? If so, Messiah is screwed, because he cannot think of much else he can use to fight with at this point. He will gulp, awaiting Shotaro’s next move...
