Re: Meeting the Tenkage [Private, No Kill]

The Tenkage's office was empty as the boy named Messiah would no doubt quickly realize. Shinji had been out at a meeting with the elders. Luckily for Messiah Shinji was just getting back. In his hand was a steaming cup of what was called coffee. Taking intermittent sips from the cup Shinji would walk up behind Messiah and speak up: "Please come in and make yourself at home." Shinji himself would walk past Messiah and take a seat in his desk with a rather cheerful look on his face-the meeting with the elders had gone well. Speaking up once again Shinji took on a relaxed tone: "Now what may I help you with...Messiah was it?" Shinji had made a personal effort to be able to put a name to a face. He had spent nights pouring over documents and dossiers. He was pretty sure he knew most people in the village too an extent even if they did not know him. Waiting for a response from Messiah Shinji took a long sip from his steaming cup.

Shinji could not help, but allow a small smile to crack across his face-Messiah had guts and overbounded with ambition. However, that would only get him so far in the world if one could not back up those guts and ambition. Shinji knew he could not simply hand out an S-rank mission to every genin that walked through his door. So, Shinji decided to test Messiah's resolve: "Oh really? I understand where you are coming from-those low ranking missions can be a real pain in the ass....But, how good are you exactly? And what makes you anymore qualified than any other genin? Or a jounin for that matter?" Shinji spoke these words with a kind tone-they were honest questions. Furthermore Shinji could commiserate with Messiah as Shinji himself could not stand those low ranked missions-they were downright boring. Waiting for a response Shinji thought about how he could give this boy some higher ranking missions. He had a few ideas in mind, but they were rather vague and not fully formed yet.

Shinji did not show any surprise when Messiah asked for a test. It seemed the boy did indeed have determination and that would be tested later. There was a much more important aspect that Shinji worried about and planned to address before he even tested this boy. Speaking up with a more serious tone than before that Messiah would no doubt be able to pick up on: "I will test you if you wish. However, before we go to that, we must turn to the unavoidable question of trust and loyalty. Can I trust you to represent the grand village of Tengakure in a respectable and fair way? We live in harsh times and I believe that it is our duty to protect, above all else and in every sense of the word, the rare peace we have been graced with." This was an important attribute that Shinji looked for in all shinobi. In particular his shinobi of Tengakure. While waiting for a response Shinji looked forward to the test he was going to give this boy-it was things like these that made his job more lively: a spar every now and again. They were small breaks in an otherwise boring schedule.

Shinji was rather impressed with Messiah's declaration of loyalty-it was not everyday that one could find a shinobi of such resolve. He could not be sure whether the boy in front of him was earnest, but he sure sounded like it and right now that was what Shinji would have to believe. With a kind smile on his face Shinji responded to Messiah: "Very well. You show a resolve lacking in some jounin. You may do higher ranked missions, but I would request that you go along with a jounin or chuunin. It is not that I do not trust you. I merely do not wish ill upon you and I hope that doing missions with a skilled shinobi will allow you to grow exponentially. Once you have completed two high ranked missions then we can talk about a bit of a test. Now is there anything else you need or want?" Shinji was willing to answer most any question or request within possibility. Honestly he hoped that Messiah had something else to say, but it would not be the end of the world if he did not.

It was then that the most peculiar thing occurred. Messiah doubled over it what seemed to be pain and fell over straight. He would have no doubt hit the ground had Shinji not vaulted over his desk and caught him. Completely at a loss of what to do Shinji yelled for his anbu who were there in an instant. Quickly a medic came forth with that looked like a stork mask. Cradling the boy in his arms Shinji held him still, so that the medic could examine him. The stork masked anbu put his finger to Messiah's jugular and simply shook his head. It seemed that the boy had fallen dead of a heart attack. A very odd occurrence, but it was enough to bring a tear to Shinji's eye. As the lone tear ran down his cheek it came to rest three quarters of the way down his cheek. Shinji had not known Messiah very well at all, but he was still a shinobi of Tengakure. Alas Shinji, at this time, did not know the crimes that the shinobi he now cradled in his arms had committed by injuring leaf village shinobi. Handing the boy over to the undertaker anbu Shinji had the boy stripped of his possessions and brought to the morgue. The morgue would be put under guard and no one, but Shinji himself would be allowed in. For some reason it seemed that it may be helpful to keep a body around-who knows what treasures may lie within the body. With a solemn look on his face Shinji walked to his file cabinet and pulled out the file on Messiah.
Throwing the file on to his desk Shinji walked around and took a seat at his desk. Pulling open the file he began to read it over rather quickly without much thought. However, something popped out at him the one word "Uchiha." The boy had been an Uchiha. Thoroughly interested now Shinji thought of those devilish eyes of the Uchiha clan. They were a prize that trumped almost any other. A twinge of guilt sprang through Shinji as he thought about it. Was he lusting for power? Was that what this almost overwhelming feeling was? He could not tell, but it felt....good. With a wry smile on his face Shinji called one anbu in and told her to prepare for a surgery. There was going to be a transplant of Frakenstein proportions. However, Shinji would not start right away-that would be foolish. For now he merely sat at his desk and glanced over his papers. His hands clasped together the Tenkage sat in his room in the clouds...waiting.
{Gained Messiah's body and all his possessions-seeing as he was banned he suffered a heart attack and thus died. "Exit." And Topic closed.}
