Few S ranked missions (Invite only)
Fri Mar 01, 2013 9:58 pm
Kino walked along the country borders, it wasn't long ago when he had received a letter that assigned him on a mission from someone that wasn't even apart of his village. Kino wondered if it was someone who he had known, doubtful, seeing as he didn't know many people outside of Konohagakure. It was an S class mission he was being sent on, clearly they didn't have anyone more skilled than Kino available at the moment or he wouldn't be being sent on the dangerous mission. He had a few high ranking techniques, though he wouldn't call himself a powerful shinobi, not one capable of doing most things Jounin are capable of doing. He sighed, wondering why he bothered to accept it. It was probably due to the pay, though he could have easily done multiple smaller ranking missions and gotten enough pay for whatever he needed, rather than taking the few high ranking missions. The first one on the list involved all the rest, so he would have to go in order with his partner rather than splitting up the work. The first job assigned was finding a camp, located on an island out in the ocean.
The ocean.. he was reminded of his birthplace, Kirigakure. The village had been destroyed not too long ago, by who? He didn't know, the answer was beyond his own knowledge, but he swore revenge, and had planned on taking it soon enough. All he had to do was investigate a bit, he was sure that someone else knew about the destruction, the only reason Kino didn't know was because he had been kidnapped at the time. He sighed, thinking of his mother who was presumably located in kirigakure at the time of it's destruction. She is now assumed to be dead, along with a lot of Kino's old friends and mentors.
He continued on, traveling to where the letter said to meet his partner for the missions. It was docks, he could rent a boat there. There wasn't a doubt in his mind that he could show the owner of the establishment that he was a shinobi on a mission and rent a boat to travel to the island, though he would wait for his partner to arrive first, still wondering who it was.
He laid down on the hill he was on, it wasn't too far from the docks. The area was slightly populated, perhaps it was full of families on vacation, or other shinobi going out on missions. He stared up at the sky, the sun was just rising, he had gotten here quite early. There were grey clouds in the sky, it may be about to rain, though the way the wind was blowing was away from the sea, he could still manage to sail across the sea, of course his prediction could be wrong, and even if he was right, anything could happen. The wind could shift where it was blowing and go the other way, towards sea, causing a giant storm to break out, which would be quite terrible. He sighed. There was still few traces of light, shining past the clouds. Bits of powerful rays passed through small opening in the storm clouds, beaming down on certain points at the sea, a certain view Kino missed since leaving Kirigakure. He just sat there, looking at the view, smiling, waiting for his partner to appear. The wind was blowing rather roughly in the direction away from the sea, they wouldn't be able to sail, they would have to row to the island where they needed to find the enemies camp.
