Senba's Training Log (P, NK)

Senba was bored, tired of sitting around, and frustrated that he hasn’t had the urge to
get up and train. He finally forces himself to get up, and start packing a few things. He packed his
essentials as usual water, sleeping bag, flint, and one of his kunai into his
backpack. He figured he can just get some fish and be fine with that for a
meal. He then change into some training worthy a muscle shirt, shorts, and semi
new shoes. Sitting there he stopped to think about what he wanted to train.
Senba thought to himself “I want to advance my chakra training, but I am going to
start lacking the physical attributes soon.”
He just sat there thinking and finally came to the decision that chakra training is the
best for now. Senba stood up looking around his room making sure there was
nothing else he wanted to take with him. He did not see anything else he needed
so he walked out his apartment and closed then locked the door behind him. He
was walking down the street just looking at the other people passing him. A few
minutes past and he got back to the training grounds. He noticed that there was
no one there again, and so he smiled then set up his stuff right next to the
water. He stared into the water looking at himself through the reflection of
the water thinking. Senba enjoys water and he is grateful that he has been
given that elemental power. Once content with thinking he stood up, walked up
to a tree about 10 to 12 meters, concentrated the chakra at the bottom of his
feet. He did not rush this process because he knew chakra control was essential
to the ninja. He built up a suitable amount of chakra at the bottom of his
feet, but Senba felt it was too much so he lessened the amount. He took a few
steps back and started running toward the tree. Senba’s feet contacted the tree
and glued onto it, but as he ran up about 2.5 meters he fell.
Senba on his back started thinking “That was too little chakra so let’s see how much
chakra is too much.”
He concentrated and concentrated a fair amount of chakra at the bottom of his
feet. He ran back at the tree, his feet connected to the tree and he ran up
about 4 meters then it pushed him off. Senba caught himself before he fell on
his back actually landing on his feet. He finally had an idea of how much
chakra to use. He concentrated one more time meeting in the middle of too low
and too much. The flow of chakra was steady at his feet and that satisfied him.
He ran back up the tree making sure not to lose concentration toward his free.
His feet hit the tree, glued to it, and he just kept running. Senba wanted to
smile and get a little confidence, but he knew as soon as he stopped
concentrating he would fall. Senba kept running 4 meters, 4.5 meters, 5 meters,
and he stopped, grabbing onto a branch that he could sit on and rest a bit.
Chakra control is essential to the ninja and must become second nature. Senba
still on the branch leaning up against the tree trunk starts to think again.
Senba thought to himself “Okay so I got the steady and equal amount of chakra to
work. I guess I will try walking on water now if I have time?”
Senba looks up at the sky and judging from the sun it looks to be indicating it’s
about supper time. He smiled and figured he will rest a bit then start back up
once he has eaten. Senba gathered up some fire wood and tender, and placed it
on the ground with stones around it. Striking the piece of flint against a rock
he created a fire, a small one, but it is a fire. Pulling his backpack into his
lap he dug through it and pulled out his kunai knife. Senba pushed his finger
against the tip feeling that it was sharp enough to his liking. Taking a long
stick Senba carved the end up it making it into a hunting spear for fish. He
then dug the kunai into the stick to make some jagged edges facing the opposite
way of the fine point of the spear. This was to make sure once he caught a fish
it was not going to get away. He put his kunai back into his backpack and
proceeded to walk up to the lake. He walked into the shallow water and kept
walking until the water reached the bottom of his shorts.
He scanned the clear water but couldn’t see anything. Senba waited with the spear ready,
and waited, and waited, and saw a little fish. He stood there passing up the
kill because it was too little to eat. A big fish swam by his leg as Senba felt
the water push up against his leg he then turned and stuck the spear through
the fish killing it instantly. He walked out of the water and went to his fire
which was still burning hot and bright. Taking a large stone and cleaning it
off; he took the fish gutting it and cleaning it with his kunai. He cut off
pieces of the muscle and fatty meat, and stuck them on sticks pushing them into
the ground to keep them there to cook.
Leaning back Senba stared at the cloud enjoying the breeze, and then leans back up. He
didn’t think about it earlier but cooking the meat is going to take some time.
Senba decided to try out walking on water as he waited for his meal to cook.
Walking toward the water he slowly gathered up chakra into his feet, and making
sure the flow of chakra was steady. His foot made contact with the water but
didn’t repel and his foot sunk.
Senba pulled his foot out and started thinking “It is not just enough to keep a

counteract the hills and valleys of water that go past your feet.”
He stood there thinking, watching the water, and thinking of the tree. Senba looked back
at the water and gathered up some chakra into his feet and placed a foot on the

and sunk as the water started moving a little more. Trying again he placed his
foot on the water focusing on changing how much chakra he has to push out when
the surface is flat and when it rippled. His foot sunk again, and Senba was
getting frustrated. He sat down closed his eyes and put his hands together.
Senba thought to himself awhile “Okay when your foot connects to a flat surface all
you have to do is produce a steady amount of fixed chakra. When walking on
water it’s the same thing but only if the water is calm and there are really no
fluctuations. As the hills come you have to push out more chakra, and as they
end you have to switch back to what you normally started with to walk on
water.”
Senba smiled, got up and concentrated on more time. He produces the amount of chakra
from last time that his foot stayed on top on the water. Then he places his
foot back onto the surface of the water. He was concentrating harder and harder
making the chakra flow change constantly. Once these series of chakra changes
got familiar to him; he placed his other foot onto the water and did the same
thing. Senba tried not to smile and started walking on the water. He went
further and further out on the lake having to concentrate less and less on the
chakra. Senba was satisfied at the outcome and ran back to the fire.
Sitting down next to the warm fire he pulled out his sleeping bag as it was getting night
fall. He put some more stick on the fire so it keeps going throughout the
night. Pulling the sticks out of the grounded he bit off a chunk of fish and
happily chewed it up and swallowed the protein. After his tummy was satisfied,
and hydrated he lay down and passed out in his sleeping bag.
That next morning he woke up to the sun and birds chirping in his ear. He really did not
mind the birds, but he cursed the sun for waking him up. He gathered his
belongings, took some water from the lake and made sure the fire was out and
left to his apartment and a nice bath.

Senba was lying down on top of the apartment roof staring at
the sky for a while now. He was lost in a daze when the sun came out from
behind the clouds and nearly blinded him. He sat up with his eyes closed
letting them re adjust to the sudden light. Looking up he cursed at the sun for
he was enjoying the shade. Senba jumped off the roof and walked back into his
apartment.
Senba said aloud “Today is a good day for physical training!”
Senba tried to get some boost of moral up but he was
dreading physical training. He was a ninjutsu user but he understood that
physical training was essential.
He asked himself “What is a ninja that can only use ninjutsu
and can’t actually fight back in a close quarter combat situation?”
He began packing his essential in his rucksack lots of water,
flint, kunai, sleeping bag, an extra set of clothes, a towel, and a few bananas.
As he was walking out of his apartment
he saw his katana leaning up against the wall next to his bed. Senba felt sorry
that ever since he got it he hasn’t trained with it. The sword seemed lonely,
and Senba took that into thought. He walked over to the sword, put the strap
around his shoulder and started walking out the door.
Senba though “Even if I do not train with it at least it
will be outside with me.”
He stopped immediately, turned, and grabbed his sharpener
then finally walked out the door. Slowly he walked down the street people were
staring at him. He figured it was because of the sword, but with the ninja
around shouldn’t they be used to seeing a weapon.
He thought “Well this is a weapon that is out in the open so
they can actually see it.”
He walked over to the training grounds once again and
smiled. He had the same routine, set up near the water and everything. Senba
took off the sword on his back and leaned it up against the tree. Smiling at it
he felt better about himself actually taking it with him today. He drank a little
water, and ate a banana to make sure he didn’t get cramps too easy. He
stretched out all of his muscles. He stretched some muscles he did not even
know he had.
He thought to himself “What do I want to do?”
Looking around Senba could only think of some basics. He
started with 50 pushups trying not strain himself too hard for it was only the
beginning. Senba kept his back straight and letting his chest go down until it
was about one and a half to two inches from the ground. He felt his muscles
warming up in his arms, and it kind of felt good to him.
He was counting to himself “47….48 …..49 …...50”
He jumped up and started doing jumping jacks to get his
blood really flowing. Senba made the goal of a hundred jumping jacking, and
started to sweat. Having to ignore the sweat running down his face, almost into
his eyes, he kept going count out loud.
Senba counted “95…96 …97…98…99….100”
He stopped to take a drink of water, and realized how out of
shaped he was in. Laughing at himself he was about to sit down but very quickly
made sure to keep standing.
He said to himself “I cannot sit down; if I sit down then
ill want to just sit and not do anything else.”
Senba ran up a tree, jumped off of it, connected to the next
tree and jumped off of it to the next. Essentially he was jumping from tree to
tree around the training grounds. Senba could feel the burn in his legs after
he had been at it for a bit and decided to stop. He and caught himself on the
ground; breathing heavily from the event he stood there letting his body get
the oxygen it needs. The burning
sensation in his legs started to feel go, and he wanted more of that sensation.
He jumped up onto a sturdy branch, and wrapped his legs around it so he would
be hanging off of it head towards the ground. He crossed his arms and started
doing “air” sit ups, and did not set a goal. He only wanted to do as many as he
could without hurting his body.
He was counting “1...2….3…4…5….6….7….8…9…10…11…12…13…14….15”
He kept counting till he was at 23 and felt his abdomen
start cramping. He immediately stopped and fell to the ground catching himself.
He said “That is an effective work out but it hurts.”
Senba smiled and was determined that next time he will do
more than just 23. He went back to his little campsite, drank some water, and
stood there feeling the breeze. Senba stared at the water and smiled thinking.
He got the idea in his head that tomorrow he will swim for his exercise. Senba looked around and started running around
the training ground, but he was alternating between jogging and running. Sweat
pouring down his face, his legging burning almost to the point of hurting, but
he kept running and jogging. He felt the need to stop but he did not do so and
kept going. Finally Senba stopped and his legs gave out on him like jelly.
Laying there he was breathing heavily, and his leg muscles were stinging and
felt useless at the time. He forced himself up feeling his legs not wanting to
move but made them anyway. Senba forced
himself to walk toward his campsite and lay against the tree that his blade was
on as well. He drank his water like a camel and thanked himself for bringing a
lot of water this time. Senba felt
himself getting weaker and more tired every moment. Forcing himself to stand up
and walk around looking for tender, fire wood, and small stones. He was grabbing fire wood and tender along
the walk slowly walking off the pain. Senba sat down next to his sleeping bag
placed down a ring of stone so the fire would not spread, and arranged the
sticks and tender where they would get the most oxygen flow. He struck the
flint brought along in his backpack and started the fire. Senba was not hunger
and he thought it was odd that he was not. Pulling the blade to him, he
unsheathed it, and felt the sharp edge of the blade. Senba pulled out a blade
sharpener, the sharpener was a little rock that he put water on. He sat there
sharpening his blade, and he finally sheathed it and passed out.
Senba woke up the next morning the fire drowned out and was
hurting. His entire body did not want to move, and was sore from head to toe.
He forced himself to stand up and quickly ignored the soreness. He dug through
his pack and pulled out the swim trunks he brought with him. Senba hid behind a
bush and changed his clothes. He threw his others onto the sleeping bag and
headed toward the water. He smiled and
jumped in without haste. Senba was not afraid of the deep water or the water
itself. He floated on the surface and drifted along. He dived deep into the
lake and came back up feeling the cool sensation of water around him.
He said to himself “Alright, time for some swimming exercises.”
He lengthened his body out stretching it and stretching his
arms. Senba then floated on top of the water and started freestyle swimming
slowly. Once he was comfortable then he sped up, and moving across the water as
well as he could. Swimming takes a toll on the body since it uses every muscle
making it a very good work out as well as a way to strengthen your cardio. He kept swimming until he hit the middle of
the lake. He floated there and decided he would breast stroke back to land.
Senba started the breast stroke and felt his legs start giving out.
He thought to himself “No not now please not now.”
He forced himself to ignore the pain and just keep going. He
could see the land coming closer and closer as he swam finally touching it.
Senba crawled out of the water huffing and puffing, then tried to stand. He
could not stand for his legs rebelled against him, and so Senba just laid there
trying to find the energy to stand. After a few minutes Senba stands up and goes
to his campsite to pack his things. He smothered the ashes from the fire to
make sure there was no heat source left, and packed his thing. He strapped his
sword to his back and went back home.

He said to himself “Alright, time for some swimming exercises.”
He lengthened his body out stretching it and stretching his
arms. Senba then floated on top of the water and started freestyle swimming
slowly. Once he was comfortable then he sped up, and moving across the water as
well as he could. Swimming takes a toll on the body since it uses every muscle
making it a very good work out as well as a way to strengthen your cardio. He kept swimming until he hit the middle of
the lake. He floated there and decided he would breast stroke back to land.
Senba started the breast stroke and felt his legs start giving out.
He thought to himself “No not now please not now.”
He forced himself to ignore the pain and just keep going. He
could see the land coming closer and closer as he swam finally touching it.
Senba crawled out of the water huffing and puffing, then tried to stand. He
could not stand for his legs rebelled against him, and so Senba just laid there
trying to find the energy to stand. After a few minutes Senba stands up and goes
to his campsite to pack his things. He smothered the ashes from the fire to
make sure there was no heat source left, and packed his thing. He strapped his
sword to his back and went back home.

Senba woke up in the morning ready to go training.
He yelled “Today is the day I meet my goal!”
The neighbors yelled “Keep it down we are still trying to
sleep!”
Senba apologized and started packing his stuff. He knew he
was going to be gone for a while at least 2 days. He took his back pack, opened
it up and started packing. Senba packed his usual lots of water, sleeping bag,
kunai, and a flint. Smiling as he walked out he grabbed his katana and strapped
it onto his back. Senba locked the door to his apartment and started heading
toward the usual training ground.
He gets to the training ground and thinks of something
different. Instead of building his campsite out in the open he will go into the
forest slightly and still setup near the water. Senba clear a little bit of
foliage, set up his gear, and place his katana against the tree. He gathered up
some stones, firewood and tender as usual. He set up the stones in a circle,
placed the medium side sticks on bottom and arranged the smaller stick on top.
He stuck the tender in his backpack to make sure nothing got it wet. Senba
stood up and was about to walk away when he got an idea. He took one of the heavier
branches with him and figured he could use it as a replacement for his new
jutsu he learned. He got out to the training ground and sat next to the water
watching it. Senba stood up and got another idea but he put that aside for
later. He built up his chakra in his body and performed the Hidden Mist
Technique. Since Senba is right next to water he does not have to expel it from
his mouth. It got very foggy and Senba could barely see anything. He decided to
sit down and let the fog dissipate.
The fog finally lifted and he finally could get back to
training. Senba stood there smiling and decided to body flicker. He built up a suitable
amount of chakra in his body mainly focusing on his leg. When he was satisfied with
the amount he focused on the area he wanted to go and ran. He was at that spot
in an instant, and felt like he did not even run. Standing there he decided to
do it again, and again, and again until he was comfortable with it. Senba got
the hang of the body flicker technique but used up a good portion of his chakra
in the process. He decided to sit down next to the water for a bit to get some
of his chakra back. While this was happening he stared at the water and
realized something.
He thought to himself “I am going to be at a big
disadvantage is I down start trying to come up with a water to create water
when there is none around.”
He sat there pondering his thought and figured that the
answer will come in time with more training. After a while he felt like his
chakra was back to normal. Senba stood up, stepped on top of the water, and
walk out a ways away from land. Then he realized he forgot the branch he
carried with him to the water.
He said “Oh well there is not much I can do about it and I am
too lazy to go back now.”
Senba built up chakra and tried to perform the Water Needles
jutsu, but to no avail. He built up even more chakra concentrating on the form of
needles, but nothing happened. He stood thinking then figured out what he was
doing wrong. He built up a sufficient amount of chakra and threw his arm
forward and if he was about to pass a ball to someone. The water came up from
the lake but quickly dissipated. Senba tried again, with more chakra this time,
and threw his arm forward like last time. The water came up forming like
needles which did not go far and just disintegrated. He tried again with more chakra, and he
focused on keeping the water in the form of needles. Senba threw his arm
forward and the water was quick to react with almost no delay. It formed into
thin sharp needles and went a good was with a fair amount of speed.
Senba told himself “If this technique takes this kind of
chakra and training I cannot wait to try a more advanced jutsu.”
He kept training and using that jutsu slowly it became
unnecessary to think about how much chakra to put into it and what to it. Senba
was proud of himself for he was starting to not have to think about chakra
control, and it just happens like second nature. He threw one more volley and
decided he was done with training that jutsu for now.
He looked back and said to himself “I was going to use that
branch for my next technique but I do not feel like going there and then coming
back.”

forming a sphere around the branch. When the branch was completely engulfed a
wave of water came by and knocked the branch out of the sphere. Senba got mad
and punched the water in frustration.
Senba thought to himself, “This jutsu requires me to focus
on shape, and the density of the water. The shape is no problem but the density
is the main problem here, and on top of that I have to keep one arm it in at
all times to be there. This leaves me open to attacks but leaves me a chance to
finish the enemy within the sphere.”
He brought the branch back to land so he could think about
this jutsu he was trying. It was getting late outside and he figured it was
time to eat, rehydrate and sleep. He went back to the campsite, started the
fire he pre prepared and grabbed his kunai. He stretched a little bit popping
his shoulder and neck then jumps into a tree. Senba searches diligently for a
prey, and spots one. It was a decent sized rabbit, and it was unaware of him.
He slowly and quietly jumped from tree to tree. The rabbit noticed him and was
about to take off when Senba used the body flicker technique to catch him.
Senba said, “Sorry my friend but I need you for a meal.”
He rammed his kunai separating his neck and spinal column
killing the rabbit instantly without pain. He brought it back to the campsite, and threw
a few more sticks into the fire to keep it going. Senba then gutted the rabbit
and sliced up the meat into strips. He then put the strips of meat on to a
stick, shoved it into the ground and let it cook. He grabbed the guts and
buried them a ways away from the site. He was thinking that a lot bigger
animals might roam around so that will get their attention more than he
would. Then when the meat was done
cooking he drank almost a half-gallon of water, and started eating until he belly
was fully. Senba then passed out in his sleeping bag, and was dreaming the
whole night away.
Senba woke up the next morning lively as ever and determined
to get that jutsu right. He smothered the fire and packed up everything seeing
that he was not going to stay another night. He walked over to the open field
and was next to the water. Senba took the branch back out a ways in the open
water of the lake and put it on the surface. He concentrated on the shape of
the sphere, and pushed the amount of chakra he did last time. The water reacted
and formed a sphere around it. Senba then started concentrating on the density
of the water and pushed more chakra into it. A small wave came by and knocked
it over a bit but not by much.
Senba focused harder and thought to himself, “I am almost
there; the branch did not move by much so I am doing something right.”
He pushed a little more chakra into the sphere concentrating
on the water. He visualized the water almost being as stiff as concrete. A
bigger wave came by to test his technique, and it did so. The wave ran against
the sphere, the sphere did not budge and the log was in place and still. Senba
got excited and jumped of joy releasing the jutsu by accident. He did not care because
he finally got the hang of it, but he knew to keep doing it. Senba stood there
creating sphere after sphere flawlessly, and without the need to think about
it.
Senba got an idea and thought to himself, “What if I surround
myself with this? Would it become a shield like barrier for me?”
He stood there and focused except this time around his own
body. The sphere engulfed his body and he could not move. He smiled and figured
he could use it as a shield. Senba released the jutsu and started walking back
toward land.
He picked up his stuff strapping his katana across his back
and walked proudly back to his apartment. The thing on his mind was a nice hot
bath and meal.

Senba woke up this morning with a grumpy attitude. Waking up
to the sun in his eyes really makes him mad because he likes his sleep. He got
up outta his bed and slowly walked to his fridge, and pulled out the half
gallon milk he had. Senba then reached into his cabinet and pulled out some
cereal. E poured the cereal and milk into a bowl and started eating. Still in
his night clothes and all he washed his dishes. There was a knock on the dorr
and Senba wondered who it could be. He walked to the door and opened it. He was
surprised at who it was. It was Hibichi, and he let him come in and offered a
drink. Hibichi declined and wanted to ask Senba a question.
Senba said “Go ahead my friend what is it?”
Hibichi asked “I was wondering if you wanted to spar today?
I know you are a ninjutsu user but I think you might need a few more taijutsu
move.”
Senba pondered this, smiled and said “Sure my friend.”
Hibichi smiled and said “That is great; I will be waiting at
the training grounds.”
Hibichi left in a hurry and Senba could only chuckle.
He said to himself “He has not changed a bit, and he has wanted
to teach me a few things for a while now.”
Senba put on some training clothes and put a few things into
his backpack. His essentials, of course, were lots of water, a flint, a kunai,
and he also brought along his katana which was strapped to his back. He left
his little apartment and started off in his quest to the training grounds.
Senba arrived at his destination to find Hibichi doing push
up. He laughed and sat his stuff next to the water. Senba started stretching
his muscles as much as he could without pulling something. Hibichi was running
in place next to him.
Hibichi said “That is good Senba stretching is a vital way
to start taijutsu training and lots of water as well.”
Senba laughed and said “Hibichi you really are a training
machine.”
Hibichi laughed and kept running in place until Senba was
done stretching.
Hibichi then told him “Do as I do we will start off slow and
work our way to sparing.”
Senba was a little hesitant, but if anyone could teach him a
thing or two about taijutsu it was Hibichi. They started off with doing 100
jumping jacks to get the blood flowing. This did not bother Senba and kept
going. Second, they did 100 pushups, and Senba’s arms were burning for he was
not conditioned for that many pushups at one time. Third, they ran around the training area, and
ran almost 4 miles. Senba fell to the ground and felt like he was going to
throw up. Hibichi got some water and handed it to Senba.
Hibichi said “You are not properly hydrating yourself. You much
drink at least a gallon of water a day without training. With training I suggest
at least 2 gallons to keep your body going.”
Senba looked at Hibichi and said “I do not see you bringing
water.”
Hibichi laughed, reached behind the bushes into a bag, and
pulled out a gallon of water. Senba laughed and kept drinking the water he
brought. He stood back up, still in a little daze, but ready to go. They ran
for another mile, and Senba’s legs were burning. Hibichi was encouraging Senba
to keep going and push back the pain. Senba focused on running, trying to drown
out the burning sensation in his legs. It worked and he kept running for a
while now. They stopped to let Senba take a rest, but Hibichi was still doing pushups.
Senba drank a bottle of water, and thanked God that he brought a lot of water. He looked at Hibichi impressed on how he can
just keep going and going without stop.
Senba felt bad and said “I better go I feel like im holding
your back.”
Hibichi protested and said “Nonsense my friend I am going to
make you into a training machine like myself. You might even learn some
taijutsu stuff while you are with me.”
Senba laughed and stayed waiting for Hibichi to finish his
pushups. They both stood up and finally started doing sit ups. The thing is, is
that for the sit ups they were doing it off of a branch. Senba set a goal from
last time that he would do more than 23, and Hibichi so kindly set a goal for
him of 35. Senba was struggling at 25 but kept going. Hibichi finished and was
on the ground trying to give Senba a moral boost.
Hibichi was yelling “Come on Senba I know its hard but you
gotta push yourself! Pain is a sign of weakness leaving the body!”
Senba struggling finally reached the goal of 35 and climbed
down the tree and collapsed on the ground. Hibichi was standing over him and
smiled. Senba looked back up and gave him a thumbs up and started laughing
which, in turn, made him hurt worse. They took a break and drank a lot of
water. They were sitting there and Senba turned to Hibichi.
Senba said “You know once we start training I am going to,
maybe, accidently use a ninjutsu out of reflex.”
Hibichi smiled “Just means a bigger challenge for me, but
please make sure we are mostly taijutsu training.”
Senba nodded his head and stood up along with Hibichi. They
put some distance between each other and took a taijutsu stance. Senba felt out
of place because he did not know much about taijutsu and its stances. He just
put up his hands like a boxer would and prepared for what was to come. Hibichi
came straight for Senba.
Senba thought “Why is he coming straight for me? That is aggressive
attack that would most cert…”
His thought got interrupted when Hibichi was now up in the
air about to come down and kick him in the head. Senba froze for a second but
put his arms up and blocked the kick. It felt like a boulder slammed into his
arms. Hibichi then took his free leg and went straight for Senba’s kidney.
Senba saw the danger and used body flicker to get out of the way in time.
Hibichi smiled at Senba and ran toward him again. He threw punch with his right
arm in which Senba dodged, grabbed his arm, using Hibichi’s momentum, pulled
him toward Senba. Senba, as he was pulling Hibichi toward him, was going to
full force punch him in the kidney. Hibichi thinking quickly let his body go
limp. This in turn caused Senba’s punch to miss completely and wide open for an
attack. Hibichi took this chance and punch Senba in the abdomen. Senba clutched
in pain with the force of the impact. He stumbled away a few feet and readied
himself again.
Hibichi said “You are doing well Senba. Not a lot of people
can take one of my punches like that.”
Senba smiled and went after Hibichi. Half way to Hibichi,
Senba body flickered, and took Hibichi by surprised. Senba threw a kick, but
Hibichi blocked it. Senba threw a right punch and Hibichi blocked that one.
Senba smiled and threw his left hand at Hibichi’s abdomen. He connected with
the punch and Hibichi threw him and held his stomach.
Hibichi said “Very well thought out Senba. You did not leave
me with an open chance to defend and you punched hard. “
Senba was worn out from the physical stress but is enjoying
every moment of this. Hibichi came at him again and disappeared almost instantly.
Senba blinked and Hibichi was right infront of him. Hibichi performed the
taijutsu Leaf Whirlwind. This taijutsu was a series of high and low kicks.
Senba threw his arms up in time and took the full brunt of the kicks pushing
him back. Next thing Senba knows he feels a pain on his chin and was launched
in the air. Senba fell onto the ground and tried to stand up.
Senba laughed a little and said “I thought we were going to
train not beat the hell out of me.”
Hibichi responded “This is training; you are taking a hit
and in the future will not be phase by anything less. I am not using my full
strength but it’s just enough for you to fill it. Now get up and try again.”
Senba got up and stood there focusing. Hibichi must have known
what Senba was doing cause he did not attack. Senba stood there calm focusing
his chakra and pushed a uproar of chakra out focusing most of it on his legs
and fists.
Senba thought “This might not help much but it is something.”
Senba body flickered to Hibichi and was in front of him and
threw a kick. His leg came around and did not make contact. Hibichi pushed up
and jump before the kick connected. As Hibichi was coming down he went for a
kick to Senba’s chest, but Senba caught his leg and threw him. Hibichi caught
himself and darted straight for Senba. Senba felt time almost slow down and
thought of something to do. As Hibichi was running at him he tried to get a low
kick in to trip Hibichi. This tactic did not work but Senba was not planning
for it to work. He then came up with a fist trying to his Hibichi’s stomach.
Hibichi blocked that attack, and then Senba threw a right leg hitting Hibichi
right in the thigh. This threw Hibichi off balance and right into the water.
Senba smiled and jumped for joy once. This was a mistake and clutched in pain
grabbing his abdomen. This taijutsu training is taking a toll on his body and
he was starting to reach his limit. Hibichi came up and was walking on the
water toward Senba. Senba darted toward Hibichi and came around with a right
kick which Hibichi caught. Hibichi then went for a punch in which Senba caught
it but it was just a distraction. Hibichi took his other fist and drove it in
his abdomen. Senba yelled in pain but
ignored it for a second and threw Hibichi on to the water. Hibichi got up and
tried to dart toward Senba but he was not there. Senba was standing next to
Hibichi and performed the water prison technique. The water reacted really
quickly and enclosed Hibichi in the dense water to where he could not move.
Senba smiled and said “This is what I learned.”
He released the jutsu and released Hibichi.
Hibichi laughed and said “I did not expect that from you
Senba. Sorry I got into the moment, but good thing you stopped me.
Senba laughed and said “It is okay, and now I am out of
chakra for now. I used it up increasing my speed and strength a little bit. I
still have a lot more to learn about chakra control and I need to boost my
chakra level.”
Hibichi smiled helping Senba back to land and they sat next
to their stuff. They both guzzled down water like camels.
Hibichi said “I did not use any lethal force and I did not
break any of your bones. That kick you put on my thigh now hurts thank you very
much.”
They both laughed loudly and they decided to go home. They
gathered up their equipment and started heading out. Hibichi helped Senba to
his apartment putting his arm around him. They were walking down the street
when they were stopped by Hibichi’s dad. He just smiled at the two and walked
away.
Senba asked “What was that for?”
Hibichi responded “He is proud of us for training.”
They got to Senba’s apartment, Hibichi went home, and Senba
took a bath and went to sleep.

and Senba wondered who it could be. He walked to the door and opened it. He was
surprised at who it was. It was Hibichi, and he let him come in and offered a
drink. Hibichi declined and wanted to ask Senba a question.
Senba said “Go ahead my friend what is it?”
Hibichi asked “I was wondering if you wanted to spar today?
I know you are a ninjutsu user but I think you might need a few more taijutsu
move.”
Senba pondered this, smiled and said “Sure my friend.”
Hibichi smiled and said “That is great; I will be waiting at
the training grounds.”
Hibichi left in a hurry and Senba could only chuckle.
He said to himself “He has not changed a bit, and he has wanted
to teach me a few things for a while now.”
Senba put on some training clothes and put a few things into
his backpack. His essentials, of course, were lots of water, a flint, a kunai,
and he also brought along his katana which was strapped to his back. He left
his little apartment and started off in his quest to the training grounds.
Senba arrived at his destination to find Hibichi doing push
up. He laughed and sat his stuff next to the water. Senba started stretching
his muscles as much as he could without pulling something. Hibichi was running
in place next to him.
Hibichi said “That is good Senba stretching is a vital way
to start taijutsu training and lots of water as well.”
Senba laughed and said “Hibichi you really are a training
machine.”
Hibichi laughed and kept running in place until Senba was
done stretching.
Hibichi then told him “Do as I do we will start off slow and
work our way to sparing.”
Senba was a little hesitant, but if anyone could teach him a
thing or two about taijutsu it was Hibichi. They started off with doing 100
jumping jacks to get the blood flowing. This did not bother Senba and kept
going. Second, they did 100 pushups, and Senba’s arms were burning for he was
not conditioned for that many pushups at one time. Third, they ran around the training area, and
ran almost 4 miles. Senba fell to the ground and felt like he was going to
throw up. Hibichi got some water and handed it to Senba.
Hibichi said “You are not properly hydrating yourself. You much
drink at least a gallon of water a day without training. With training I suggest
at least 2 gallons to keep your body going.”
Senba looked at Hibichi and said “I do not see you bringing
water.”
Hibichi laughed, reached behind the bushes into a bag, and
pulled out a gallon of water. Senba laughed and kept drinking the water he
brought. He stood back up, still in a little daze, but ready to go. They ran
for another mile, and Senba’s legs were burning. Hibichi was encouraging Senba
to keep going and push back the pain. Senba focused on running, trying to drown
out the burning sensation in his legs. It worked and he kept running for a
while now. They stopped to let Senba take a rest, but Hibichi was still doing pushups.
Senba drank a bottle of water, and thanked God that he brought a lot of water. He looked at Hibichi impressed on how he can
just keep going and going without stop.
Senba felt bad and said “I better go I feel like im holding
your back.”
Hibichi protested and said “Nonsense my friend I am going to
make you into a training machine like myself. You might even learn some
taijutsu stuff while you are with me.”
Senba laughed and stayed waiting for Hibichi to finish his
pushups. They both stood up and finally started doing sit ups. The thing is, is
that for the sit ups they were doing it off of a branch. Senba set a goal from
last time that he would do more than 23, and Hibichi so kindly set a goal for
him of 35. Senba was struggling at 25 but kept going. Hibichi finished and was
on the ground trying to give Senba a moral boost.
Hibichi was yelling “Come on Senba I know its hard but you
gotta push yourself! Pain is a sign of weakness leaving the body!”
Senba struggling finally reached the goal of 35 and climbed
down the tree and collapsed on the ground. Hibichi was standing over him and
smiled. Senba looked back up and gave him a thumbs up and started laughing
which, in turn, made him hurt worse. They took a break and drank a lot of
water. They were sitting there and Senba turned to Hibichi.
Senba said “You know once we start training I am going to,
maybe, accidently use a ninjutsu out of reflex.”
Hibichi smiled “Just means a bigger challenge for me, but
please make sure we are mostly taijutsu training.”
Senba nodded his head and stood up along with Hibichi. They
put some distance between each other and took a taijutsu stance. Senba felt out
of place because he did not know much about taijutsu and its stances. He just
put up his hands like a boxer would and prepared for what was to come. Hibichi
came straight for Senba.
Senba thought “Why is he coming straight for me? That is aggressive
attack that would most cert…”
His thought got interrupted when Hibichi was now up in the
air about to come down and kick him in the head. Senba froze for a second but
put his arms up and blocked the kick. It felt like a boulder slammed into his
arms. Hibichi then took his free leg and went straight for Senba’s kidney.
Senba saw the danger and used body flicker to get out of the way in time.
Hibichi smiled at Senba and ran toward him again. He threw punch with his right
arm in which Senba dodged, grabbed his arm, using Hibichi’s momentum, pulled
him toward Senba. Senba, as he was pulling Hibichi toward him, was going to
full force punch him in the kidney. Hibichi thinking quickly let his body go
limp. This in turn caused Senba’s punch to miss completely and wide open for an
attack. Hibichi took this chance and punch Senba in the abdomen. Senba clutched
in pain with the force of the impact. He stumbled away a few feet and readied
himself again.
Hibichi said “You are doing well Senba. Not a lot of people
can take one of my punches like that.”
Senba smiled and went after Hibichi. Half way to Hibichi,
Senba body flickered, and took Hibichi by surprised. Senba threw a kick, but
Hibichi blocked it. Senba threw a right punch and Hibichi blocked that one.
Senba smiled and threw his left hand at Hibichi’s abdomen. He connected with
the punch and Hibichi threw him and held his stomach.
Hibichi said “Very well thought out Senba. You did not leave
me with an open chance to defend and you punched hard. “
Senba was worn out from the physical stress but is enjoying
every moment of this. Hibichi came at him again and disappeared almost instantly.
Senba blinked and Hibichi was right infront of him. Hibichi performed the
taijutsu Leaf Whirlwind. This taijutsu was a series of high and low kicks.
Senba threw his arms up in time and took the full brunt of the kicks pushing
him back. Next thing Senba knows he feels a pain on his chin and was launched
in the air. Senba fell onto the ground and tried to stand up.
Senba laughed a little and said “I thought we were going to
train not beat the hell out of me.”
Hibichi responded “This is training; you are taking a hit
and in the future will not be phase by anything less. I am not using my full
strength but it’s just enough for you to fill it. Now get up and try again.”
Senba got up and stood there focusing. Hibichi must have known
what Senba was doing cause he did not attack. Senba stood there calm focusing
his chakra and pushed a uproar of chakra out focusing most of it on his legs
and fists.
Senba thought “This might not help much but it is something.”
Senba body flickered to Hibichi and was in front of him and
threw a kick. His leg came around and did not make contact. Hibichi pushed up
and jump before the kick connected. As Hibichi was coming down he went for a
kick to Senba’s chest, but Senba caught his leg and threw him. Hibichi caught
himself and darted straight for Senba. Senba felt time almost slow down and
thought of something to do. As Hibichi was running at him he tried to get a low
kick in to trip Hibichi. This tactic did not work but Senba was not planning
for it to work. He then came up with a fist trying to his Hibichi’s stomach.
Hibichi blocked that attack, and then Senba threw a right leg hitting Hibichi
right in the thigh. This threw Hibichi off balance and right into the water.
Senba smiled and jumped for joy once. This was a mistake and clutched in pain
grabbing his abdomen. This taijutsu training is taking a toll on his body and
he was starting to reach his limit. Hibichi came up and was walking on the
water toward Senba. Senba darted toward Hibichi and came around with a right
kick which Hibichi caught. Hibichi then went for a punch in which Senba caught
it but it was just a distraction. Hibichi took his other fist and drove it in
his abdomen. Senba yelled in pain but
ignored it for a second and threw Hibichi on to the water. Hibichi got up and
tried to dart toward Senba but he was not there. Senba was standing next to
Hibichi and performed the water prison technique. The water reacted really
quickly and enclosed Hibichi in the dense water to where he could not move.
Senba smiled and said “This is what I learned.”
He released the jutsu and released Hibichi.
Hibichi laughed and said “I did not expect that from you
Senba. Sorry I got into the moment, but good thing you stopped me.
Senba laughed and said “It is okay, and now I am out of
chakra for now. I used it up increasing my speed and strength a little bit. I
still have a lot more to learn about chakra control and I need to boost my
chakra level.”
Hibichi smiled helping Senba back to land and they sat next
to their stuff. They both guzzled down water like camels.
Hibichi said “I did not use any lethal force and I did not
break any of your bones. That kick you put on my thigh now hurts thank you very
much.”
They both laughed loudly and they decided to go home. They
gathered up their equipment and started heading out. Hibichi helped Senba to
his apartment putting his arm around him. They were walking down the street
when they were stopped by Hibichi’s dad. He just smiled at the two and walked
away.
Senba asked “What was that for?”
Hibichi responded “He is proud of us for training.”
They got to Senba’s apartment, Hibichi went home, and Senba
took a bath and went to sleep.

Senba, walking through the streets on this hot sunny day,
was thinking of training. He could not stop thinking about training to make
himself stronger. He cursed at Hibichi under his breath for turning him into a
training machine. Senba walked up to his apartment building and walked up the
stairs. He entered his room, closed the door behind him and stared out the window.
He smiled and found a reason to go train.
He said to himself “I will be training next to water with
water style jutsu. This hot day will feel much better to me when training.”
He pulled out his backpack but was not satisfied with the
capacity it could carry. He dug into his closet, pulled out a duffel bag and
packed it full of water. He also packed a kunai, flint, and a sleeping bag. He
grabbed his katana and walked out locking the door behind him. As he was
walking along the street he felt a strange uneasy feeling in his gut. He
learned to trust his gut more than his brain or heart. Senba kept it in mind
but kept walking toward the training grounds.
He went past the trees into the area; happy that no one was
there he sat his stuff down in the usual spot. Senba stuck his hand in the water,
the water felt warm on top, but got colder the deeper it got. He smiled and
enjoyed the feeling of the cold water against his hand. He pulled his hand out of the water and began
to setup camp like usual. Senba gets firewood, tender, and stones ready for a
camp fire later. He sat down, indian style, right next to the water with his
back turned to it. He was trying to think of the jutsus that he could work on.
Senba thought “Well I have two jutsus that I have not really
used yet. I have the Hidden Mist Technique, and the Exploding Water Colliding
Wave. The Hidden Mist Technique is not going to be a problem, I hope not, but
the Exploding Water Colliding Wave will be. Producing water in the body takes a
great deal of chakra and concentrating it within the body creating water out of
thin air. Kneading this chakra within you takes time, and concentration.”
Senba decided to work on the Hidden Mist Technique first. He
decided to sit for this one because it did not require moving the entire body. He builds up the chakra in his body and
performs the necessary hand seals for the jutsu. Senba looked around and
nothing happened. He figured he did not use enough chakra and built up more
chakra than last time. This, again, was not the case and the mist did not form.
He did not understand why and figured, as he did with all the other jutsus, he
had to visualize the mist. He closed his eyes and built up a suitable amount of
chakra he thought he needed. Senba formed the hand seals; he visualized a mist
around him a semi-transparent mist, and felt a slight heaviness around him.
This heaviness felt like it got humid all of a sudden. He opened up his eyes and saw a slight mist
around him. He smiled and let the mist dissipate before trying again.
Senba closed his eyes again and visualized a more dense
mist. He pushed out a little more chakra than last time. He felt the chakra
leaving his body slowly combining into the air. Thoughts were running through
his head.
Senba’s thoughts were “This is a great technique to hide in.
The combination of my chakra into the air will hide his and his teammate’s chakra
signatures in the mist. This in turn will render the sharingan useless for the
duration of the mist. This down side is I cannot see that well and the byakugan
would not be fooled by this. I would have to learn a sensory technique soon.”
Senba focused, feeling the air getting heavier around him,
and then opened his eyes once more. The mist was thick but he could see a
decent outline of a tree next to him. This is not want Senba wanted; he wanted
a mist so thick that he could not see in front of him. He let the mist dissipate before trying again.
In the meantime, while the mist dissipated, he was thinking.
Senba thought “This feeling in my gut will not go away. Is
something going to happen soon.” He brushed it off for now. This moment he
needed to focus on his justsu for if there was something to come. The mist
slowly dissipated and the air was clear. He focused more chakra than before and
performed the necessary hand seals. The feeling of chakra leaving his body felt
weird now that he actually focused on it. He could feel the air getting hotter
as if in sauna and could feel the moisture in the air. He pushed a little more
chakra out and decided that was enough for now. He opened his eyes and all he
could see was white. The mist was so thick he could not see one foot in front
of him. This is what Senba wanted the
mist to be like if necessary. It started to dissipate quickly, and he wondered
why. Maybe he did not put enough chakra into it. He tried it again, building up
a suitable amount of chakra this time. Senba performed the necessary hand seals
and pushed the chakra out of his body. This time the reaction was quick and
felt heavier than before. He opened his eyes and waited. Some time passed by
and the mist did not dissipate quickly but only gradually. He kept performing
this jutsu till he did not have to think about it. It started be as if it was
instinct to use this jutsu and it was a useful one. Senba would most likely use
this against a sharingan user, but it could be used for other purposes as well.
The mist dissipated and it was night fall. Senba went back
to his setup and lit the fire. He did not feel hunger but felt drained. He
passed out quickly and went to sleep till the next morning.
Senba woke up hungry and his stomach was not too happy with
him. The fire was barely going, but Senba put more branches on it. The fire
roared into a blaze then calmed back down. He dug out his kunai from his duffel
bag and went hunting. He jumped from tree to tree looking for a prey, and spotted
a small creature. Senba snuck up on it to get a closer look, but it was just a
small rabbit nothing worth killing. He kept looking and found a medium sized squirrel.
Senba took out his kunai, and pounced on it digging the kunai through the
spinal column killing it instantly. While bringing the creature back to camp he
still could not get rid of the feeling in his gut. He figured maybe after he
ate he will feel better.
He sat down and gutted the animal. He buried the innards in
the ground and used the meat for food. While the food was cooking Senba stared
at the sky drinking water. Some time passed and the meat was done. Senba ate it
up like it was his only meal of the day. Feeling better he knew what he had to
do next. Senba sat by the water, indian style, and focused his chakra inside of
himself. Attempting to knead the chakra into a water form, and be able to spit
it out. This was not as easy as most people might think. Building up the chakra
in his body trying to visualize water, and this came quickly with a gag. Senba
spit out water, not much, but it was water. He was surprised that he did not

the surprise of water. He know knew what it felt like and he tried again. He
built up a enormous amount of chakra in his body, started thinking about this
water being formed, and he could feel it. The water was forming and was
attempting to expel from his mouth. Senba stood up, facing toward the lake, and
tried his knew technique. He performed the Exploding Water Colliding Wave out
onto the lake. He forced the water out of his mouth making a decent sized wave
but nothing too spectacular. Senba chocked, and was gagging, but he did not
quit. He summoned all the chakra he could manage into his body, and forming
water. He forced every little bit of water out of his mouth when performing the
Exploding Water Colliding Wave technique. The wave was big but he has seen
these types of waves before. They are not too scary but if you are hit by it;
it would defiantly hurt. He could not manage more, for he drained he chakra on
that wave. Senba sat down to rest a bit before heading back home. He packed his
sleeping bag and other items he brought with him. Senba strapped the katana on
his back and proceeded to walk home, in a daze, but he was walking.
