Re: A Meeting (Den&Min P/IO)

The two sat in silence for quite some time. Minorin was still watching the window, hoping that blue feathered bird would fly by again.
Then suddenly Denkiteki spoke, it seemed completely random and it took her a second to figure out that he was talking about his new team. Minorin remembered the old team, it hadn’t been set in stone or anything. But she, Denkiteki, Attuu, Kairashi, and Jashin were definitely a team. She sat there, listening to Denkiteki as she thought of the few S-ranked missions they had performed together. It had been fun. She would never see the old team together again though. She mentally shook the thoughts away and focused on what Denkiteki had said.
“I see. I’m glad. It’s been a while since you led a team.” She sighed, “I haven’t been doing anything. I mean, I walk around a lot – if that counts anyways. Oh, I found a nice restaurant that serves great curry… No team though. I kind of don’t want a new team… You know?” She removed her head from Denkiteki’s shoulder and leaned back into the couch, running her fingers through her wet ivory colored hair so that it wouldn’t tangle.
She’d been referring to the old team when she’d said “You know?” but Denkiteki might not understand what she’d meant, he was odd like that. She inhaled deeply and hoped that he would understand what she’d meant. Explaining might be hard for her.

Den could have slapped himself in the face. Why did he have to bring up teams, of course that would remind her of Jashin and Attuu. He didn’t know what to say after that, noticing that Minorin had taken her head away from his shoulder. He looked out the window once more, trying to think of a way to make things better. It seemed Den was a failure at doing that however.
“Yeah, I think I understand what you mean.” Was really the only thing he could say involving the team. He felt bad for bringing it up, he should have just asked her what she had been up to.
“What’s the name of the restaurant? Maybe I’ll go there sometime.” He attempted to chuckle as he spoke, a weak attempt at trying to lighten up the situation they were in. Sighing, Den put on of his hands to his face. He wondered if he should just leave. All he seemed to be doing was make Minorin feel worse, and that wasn’t what he had wanted to accomplish at all.

She yawned, her left eye slightly watering. She quickly rubbed her left eyelid, “I don’t remember the name, but I’ll take you to it sometime! I know how to get back to it.”
The girl was very food driven, not all the time – but most of the time you could get her to do almost anything as long as good food was involved. It seemed topics had changed quite a bit since Den had entered, her eyes flicked towards the clock as she sat there, still rubbing her eye.
Surprise melted over her, her muscles tensing and her eyes becoming wide, a grin forming instantly on her face.
She pounced off the couch and grabbed the end opposite of Denkiteki – who was currently sitting.
The small girl then spun the couch so that it now faced a medium sized television set. Minorin really loved television, she’d never seen it before. And the best show in the world was coming on in just two minutes!
She let go of the couch, hurrying over to the TV and switching it on. It was already on the right channel and everything, just a little over a minute left until it was time!
She’d turn her body back so that she was facing Denkiteki, her right index finger pointing right at him, “Listen up! The best thing in the whole entire world is about to come on! And you have to watch it as punishment for being an idiot! Ya got it!?”
She was definitely going overboard, but she was just so excited.
The small girl heard the opening song begin playing. She gasped and scuttled back over to the couch, sitting next to Denkiteki – if he was still there of course.
Normally she didn’t like being close to people, but she was so caught up in her excitement that she attempted to wrap her arm around Denkiteki’s neck in order to shout information about the show into his right ear better.

Den gripped the sides of the couch as Min spun it around, wondering what the hell she was doing. Before he could figure out what was going on, or ask Minorin a question she ran towards her television, obviously excited. After the young girl had turned it on, the screen flickered to life, commercials beginning to play before him. Den didn’t really watch much TV, so he was unsure as to what Min was trying to do.
“Listen up! The best thing in the whole entire world is about to come on! And you have to watch it as punishment for being an idiot! Ya got it!?”
De nodded slowly, looking at the girl curiously. He didn’t know Min was interested in TV as much as she seemed to be, wondering what sort of shows the girl watched. Den hadn’t had television in Sanctuary, so he had no idea what she would be interested in.
The opening song began to play as Min wrapped her arm around Den’s neck, him again wondering what she was trying to do. Sighing, Den would look to the TV, “What show is this anyway?”

“What show is this anyway?”
Minorin playfully flexed her arm muscles as she brought Den’s ear closer, she was so excited she was practically screaming, “This show, this show is a super fun show where people wrestle each other! Sometimes they hit each other with tables and chairs and fun things like that too – it’s super cool! I mean, even the opening song is cool! Isn’t it fun already!?”
She would then release the boy, hopping over the back of the couch and into the kitchen. She should probably make something to eat, she hadn’t eaten all day after all, and eating while watching her favorite show would be awesome!
As she opened the pantry and started moving items around, looking for just the right thing, she called back to Den, “Stay there and watch! So you can tell me what’s happened!”

Den was practically deafened by Minorin’s voice, she had brought his ear so close yet she still felt the need to raise her voice! Den barely understood what she was saying; he was deafened by the young girl's screams. Den could only understand that people hit each other with things, and that Min really really enjoyed watching it.
Den’s ear was still ringing when Minorin jumped over the couch, heading into the kitchen. Before Den even asked what she was doing, she told him to stay and tell her what was happening. “They’re just talking!” he exclaimed, his voice louder than he intended because he was still half deaf. On the screen some man was announcing two odd names, of two overly muscular men. What was Min watching?

The small white haired girl grinned triumphantly. It was just wonderful to have her superior do just as she asked of him. And so loud too, she definitely wouldn’t miss anything this way.
She continued to rummage through the pantry as quickly as possible though, she was pretty sure one of her favorite wrestlers would be on today, what kind of fan would she be if she missed one of his fights!?
Soon she found what she’d been looking for – popcorn! Or was it called kettle corn? She wasn’t entirely sure. But it was tasty so names didn’t really matter.
She lifted the plastic snack filled bag from the pantry into the kitchen, it was half her size. She sighed. Being so short could be a little demeaning every now and then.
Oh well, it wasn’t like anyone important was here – just Denkiteki, who could never ever be considered but so important.
She slung the bag over her shoulder and walked into the living room, walking around the couch and sitting next to Denkiteki instead of jumping back into her seat – doing that might make the kettle corn bag rip or something.
She would open the bag and pop a piece into her mouth as she watched the opening sequence for one of the wrestlers that were fighting today. It looked like her favorite one wouldn’t be fighting after all.
She would offer the kettle corn bag to Denkiteki after eating a piece, she was feeling generous today. But if the boy took too much she’d never share with him again, food was too important for Denkiteki to go around taking it all.

Den heard no response, just the sound of something heavy being lifted up in the kitchen. Even though he was still annoyed with her for yelling in his ear, he had to admit he liked that the two of them were actually sitting down and watching the television instead of trying to beat each other up. He was also grateful that they were no longer talking about Kiri, Den wondered if they would have to talk about it more later or if they were done. He hoped not, he still didn’t know what he should say and just wanted to move on as best he could.
While Minorin was away, the announcer began stating the abilities of the 2 fighters. Neither of them were shinobi, so their feats did not come across as impressive to one such as Den, “Apparently one of them managed to crush a man’s wrist with one hand, pretty impressive right?” Den laughed, remembering the time Minorin had crushed his wrist. Though the situation had not been funny at all at the time, he hoped Minorin and him could look back at it and laugh now. He had learned to control his ‘darkness’ or whatever it had been that caused him to lose control. Sanctuary had helped him contain it, at least enough that he didn’t have to worry about attacking Minorin again.
Den had wondered what Minorin had left to get, and was a little surprised when she brought in a giant bag of kettle corn. He looked at it, puzzled as he wondered why she would need so much. She would explode if she ate that much, she only wants to eat a little bit right? As Minorin sat down, the fight was about to begin. The two hulking men seemed ready to attack each other, Den found their form awkward and thought neither of them knew how to fight. Of course, wrestling was different from the way shinobis fought so he couldn’t have been sure if they knew what they were doing or not.
“So Min, how often do you watch this sort of stuff?” Den didn’t want to just sit there and watch the show, sitting around and doing nothing but staring at a screen seemed boring to him. He did not sound bored when he asked the question, he was in fact quite curious as to what it was Minorin did in her spare time. He had lived in Sanctuary with her for 4 years and still knew very little about her.
He reached in the bag and took a single piece of kettle corn, tossing it into his mouth. It tasted okay, Den didn’t really appreciate the taste of food much though.
In Sanctuary
Den was in Minorin’s apartment, and Takehiko was in the borders attempting to find DNA for Den, so why would the story be refocusing on the dimension Denkiteki had created? Because, the real hero was currently residing in that realm.
Toma, the great and powerful Sanctuary Clone, the brother of Takehiko, the second Heir To Sanctuary, was sitting on a stump. Not just any stump however, it was Toma’s stump, the most durable stump in Sanctuary. Den had made it that way, because Toma kept breaking things. Den wasn’t fun. While he got to sit and hang out with the pretty white haired girl that seemed awesome, Toma had to watch out for Takehiko. Older brother should be able to take care of himself. Toma knew this wasn’t the case though, Toma had been created while Den was powerful, where as his brother had been made before then.
Toma was actually only a few days old, Den had created him not long after joining Tengakure. Toma appeared to be about 5 or 6, very short and very energetic. Why had Den made him this way? He was going to be Minorin’s buddy, he would get to hang out with the awesome pretty white haired girl. Because Den was terrible at that sort of thing.
Toma looked into the pretty cool pond Den had made, occasionally switching from brother to Den and Minorin when he could. He mostly followed Takehiko though, to make sure he didn’t do anything dumb. He was smart though, smarter then Den at least. That was really all Toma could say about his brother, other than being smart, he was just weird. Well, he was very loyal to Den, which Toma thought was kind of cool. Not as cool as Toma, but it was pretty awesome he guessed.
Toma had abilities Takehiko didn’t have, which was why Toma had to watch out for him. Toma could travel from Sanctuary to the place Den was from, Takehiko couldn’t do that by himself. Toma also had Den’s cool medicine powers, all of them in fact. So if Takehiko found someone interesting, Toma could check them for cool powers as well as take them into Sanctuary.
Toma was also better at fighting. The 3 of them knew this, Den was the best, Toma was nearly as powerful, and Takehiko had some cool abilities but couldn’t keep up. So if Takehiko got in trouble, Toma was there to save him. That was the only reason Toma wasn’t in the cool big city playing with people, was because he didn’t want his brother to get hurt.

“I usually only watch it when my favorite wrestler is on, but if I’m not doing anything and this is on, I just flip to this channel every now and then…” Her voice came out in a drone; it was obvious that she was completely invested in the show even if she tried to state otherwise.
She took another piece of kettle corn from the bag and chewed it carefully, her eyes squinting in hilarity as the weaker of the two wrestlers lunged forward, attempting grab the other only to be swatted away by the hulking figure as though he were nothing more than a pest.
