Mission: Tree Climbing gone wrong
Wed Apr 24, 2013 3:07 pm
Masaru was walking the forest, thinking about how he should tackle the mission he had been given. It would seem that some boy had climbed into a tree which was 40 meters tall, and was unable to get down on his own. Well, he had been told that there was a hornet nest in the tree, so Masaru figured that that was part of the reason. He did not like the thought of angering the nest himself one bit, so he could very well understand that a civilian boy was scared of them. Well, there was the broken branch as well, but Masaru would have little problem with that, as he could simply walk up the tree.
But before he did that, he had to deal with the hornet nest. He could not use his chakra threads on all of the hornets, and he was not quite sure if it would be safe to use his chakra threads on the very nest and pull it down or something like that. Even if he was 10 meters away, he could not say that the hornets would not find some way to blame Masaru for the loss of their nest, which would actually be true. He was, however, not sure if the boy would be safe if he did that. They might just as well decide to punish him, and if he lost his grip on the branch due to the hornets, he would probably have a fatal fall.
Well, first he had to find the nest. As he arrived at the tree in question, Masaru gathered his chakra in his feet, and slowly began walking up the tree. Slowly because he was looking for the hornet nest, preferring to spot it before he got too close. When he spotted it around 7 meters up the tree trunk, he sat down on one of the nearby branches, having a look around. He was only halfway up the trunk, which meant that there was 13 meters between the boy and the nest. That seemed like a safe distance to do something about the nest.
He took a kunai in his hand, and attached a chakra thread to it, and took aim. The moment that he threw the kunai, he hurried to get a bit away from it, as he was pretty certain that the hornets would be quite annoyed as their nest fell to the ground. When the nest was gone, Masaru walked up to the boy, picked him up, and walked down the tree, and then he and the boy went back to the village.
