A Friendly Spar (Private, NK)

Maya would chase after Haru, down the path, and towards the tree after him. He was easily far faster then she was, she stood no chance against him. By the time he reached the op of the tree and jumped back off, Maya was just at the base. She would turn, sigh, and push off the tree, chasing after Haru.
"W...Wait up!!!" She would squeal after the Hyuga boy, who was gaining distance quickly. He reached down to scoop up her needles, and Maya just knew he was up to something. She followed him until he was well out of sight, finally emerging in a clearing, where the lake rested.

"Y-Yes! You need to slow down! I'm only an academy student!" She would complain, stopping for a moment. Then the needles would fly at her feet, causing her to freeze. after a short pause, she would pick them up again, before looking up at Haru, and chasing after him. She would run across the water, mustering up all her chakra, and jump at Haru, pulling out her butterfly knife, and thrusting it at his chest with her momentum

Haru would sidestep her knife thrust, grabbing her wrist and throwing her arm away from himself, jumping backwards.
"Not a bad blow, but you made it too obvious. A strike needs to be fast, powerful, and directed. You weren't even aiming at a paticular spot, just my general area." He would say, trying to be helpful. He would turn and walk off the edge of the lake, back to solid ground. His watch would beep, causing him to jump slightly, startled.
"Crap! Sorry, Maya, gotta run!" He would say without warning, turning and running to the park gates.
He needed to go train his Fury of the Storm technique, something he did not want to try out on an academy student like this. Though she hadn't demonstrated her full potential at their first meeting, Haru knew he was quite outmatched against her teammate, Yuri, in many ways. He could not tolerate that, and this technique was his trump card, so he'd have to perfect it. He still had a long way to go on it, however.
"See ya, Maya!" he would say over his shoulder. "Hope to see you again soon!" And just like that, Haru was gone.

Maya would groan as her strike missed, sidestepped easily by Haru. She would land uneasily on the water, nearly falling through. She would follow Haru to the shore, and watch as his watch beeped, and he reacted, sayingr he had to leave. She would wave goodbye, smiling, and watch as he ran off in the distance.
