Ganki was currently sleeping in his room, inside a small little shack. His days had been tough, especially with his new assignment that he had to do soon, training a team for the upcoming chuunin exams. This stressful work of a team leader was murder, but lucky he didn't have to take the assignment until next week. So, he decided that he should spend every last moment of his free time doing whatever he wanted, until the time came. In is room he slept, bed sheets that were hanging half over the bed, along with his feet and arms, Ganki was a messy sleeper. Only a full week left until his assignment would call and he decides to sleep all day, it was a waste of time. He would be dreaming about his only days as an academy student, running around the school grounds causing trouble everywhere he went. It wasn't real trouble he caused, just stuff that adolescent kids would do; he was a problem child back in his days. Ganki tossed and turned as he shifted his body many times, his left arm would then meet his dresser that was next to his bed. What was on the dress was an object that left Ganki's mind a long time ago, a purple crystal like item. It was within his brown ninja pouch that also contained many tools, kunai, shuriken, needles, scrolls, and possibly anything else that would come to mind. But what Ganki didn't realize was that the crystal would change Ganki's life forever. Ganki's hand brushed the brown pouch off the dresser, knocking the brown pouch on to the hard cold green grassy floor. As the pouch hit the floor the many items scattered throughout the floor, including the purple crystal that would now begin to glow with radiance. Ganki would awaken from the noise, sleepy and disorientated. He looked around to see what the noise was about. Normally, Ganki wouldn't even bother with such, but due to his training he was forced to wake up instant a force of habit, second hand nature. Ganki rolled over to the side of the bed, looking at the huge mess on the floor. Ganki was too lazy to do anything about it, but with the glowing crystal he was forced to deal with the matter. Ganki reached for the crystal when all of the sudden it reacted to his touch, it grew brighter and brighter till Ganki went blind by the light.
When Ganki regained his sight he found himself someplace else, where ever he was he wasn’t in bed anymore. The place was cold and dark, only with a small spotlight on him, as if he was on a stage. Ganki thought he was dead, crying a bit since he was still a... well you know inexperienced. Ganki wiped his little tears off his face when he finally dealt with the situation, "Ok God... I’m ready now..." Ganki said that in a frighten state of voice. But nothing happened, no action at all. He looked around the place to see if he could see anything but nothing changed at all, he was still surrounded by darkness. He then took a step forward, immediately the spot light followed him, weird he thought. He moved side to side, jumped up and down, and even did a back flip and not once did the ray of light fail to keep up with him. Standing there with his white shirt and blue boxer shorts he remained puzzled. "Where the hell am I?!", Ganki wanted out. But then, a shimmer of light would appear in front of Ganki not to far from him, It wasn't the same light that was focused on him now, no, it was a faint light that hovered from a distance, with a tint of purple. He wondered if it was the crystal, he walked forward towards it, Ganki had now found a shimmer of hope, a way to escape the darkness.
Ganki continued to walk in wonder until finally he reached the light, small in size, easy to grab. Ganki reached out with his left hand to grab it, suddenly, it wisped high, and about 12 feet off the ground. He looked up as the light began to take shape, forming into something new. When then light remain steady it too the form of a human figure, non-facial features or nothing, just a human figure that shined bright purple, Ganki wondered what this meant. Then, 4 beams of light shot down from the darkness, 20 feet from Ganki, 4 different individual spot lights. Ganki watched at the lights grew wider, till teach of them were at least 5 feet wide, with a height of 10 feet. Ganki walked towards the first ray of light, with his current spotlight still shining on him. Once he got to the light, he just stood there, leaning towards it then leaning back, obviously he had no clue what this was, what all of this meant. A quick force soon fell upon Ganki, a vacuum lie force that attempted suck Ganki into the light, due to the surprise and strength of the force, Ganki was sucked into the light, which was actually a gate, the gate of opening.
The Gate of Opening:
Once Ganki was pulled in, he fell hopelessly down an endless like drop, plummeting to where ever he was destined to go. He yelled continuously till he felt a soft cushion like surface, he looked around to find himself back on the bed. Ganki sighed deeply, "Some dream that was, whelp off to enjoy my vacation." Ganki was no longer in the cloud village; he was in the mountains that belonged to the cloud village, but technically still not within the village. Ganki was back inside the Thunder bird Sanctuary, where he learned how to perform his sage mode. The little shack was a hope that belong to one of Ganki's summoning's, Rotoi, Ganki was simply barrowing it for the week. When Ganki got out of bed he noticed that his body was a bit heavier than normal, in fact stronger. Ganki felt himself, feeling all of his abs and chest muscles that had recently just appeared. Ganki even flexed his arm to reveal his new muscles, he smiled with disbelief. However, He heard and explosion outside of the shack, he reached for a sword, along with a pair of long jounin issued pants as he ran out the shack, it didn't sound good. When he got outside Ganki saw himself standing right in front of him, an exact duplicate of himself, Ganki didn’t even make a shadow clone at all! "Who are you?", Ganki said as he approached the clone, but the clone didn’t say anything, it just looked at Ganki, curelessly. Ganki examined the copy even further, in fact upon view the copy didn't look like an enemy at all, but that still didn’t explain the explosion. Ganki looked around to see if there was a crater or anyone else around, but nothing in sight, "This is just weird, where is everyone?" The copy just stood there, while Ganki took a few steps closer towards him. He asked the copy what was going on, but no reply came, it just stood there in its blue robe. That feature reminded Ganki of something, he wore those same clothes the day he was born. Ganki really didn’t remember the day he was born. But of a little picture of him as a baby, alw3ays wearing a blue rich robe. Ganki reached out for the robe a he felt its texture, still feeling the same as before, soft warm. He smiled as his memories came to him. “Yeah I remember now, this robe was so soft. But I lost it when I grew older, man I felt terrible when I lost it, it was almost like a part of me.” In that instant, the clone smiled itself, while t slowly faded into nothingness. Ganki soon found himself under the same spotlight as before, but instead of hurdling down, he hovered up towards the light, until finally he was back in the same dark room.
Ganki looked around to see if he could make sense of what was going on, but in the end he just couldn't. However, Ganki was not alone upon his return, for yet another Ganki stood behind him; simply mimicking everything Ganki did like a child. Ganki turned around upon sensing him, only to meet the back of this copy, due to the clone copying everything Ganki did. Before Ganki could reach out for the clone, he felt the same suction force from earlier. Once again he was dragged into the second ray of light, falling down the endless drop until he would arrive at his destination.
The Gate of Healing:
Upon his decent he landed upon a seat, a normal one made out of wood. Ganki, still dressed in his white shirt and blue boxer shorts scanned his location until he figured out where he was, a class room. The very same class room that was located inside the cloud village ninja academy. While sitting down he noticed he was the only one in the class, him besides another small kid that sat in the back. But he didn't notice this until he felt a large paper ball whack him in the back of the head. Upon further speculation he came to the idea that the little kid was him, the bright orange baseball cap was a big give away, “I miss that old hat." Then, the front door of the class would open, with he academy teacher stepping in to begin class. He paid no attention to the real Ganki, almost as if he wasn't there, but the copy knew he was. Once the teacher got settled, he wrote a few markings on the board demonstrating the projection angle of most throw able weapons. The teacher yelled at the copy, asking him what would be the best weapon to use within 10 feet of the enemy. The copy froze as did not know the answer to the question, "Oh come on even I know this... oh that’s right, I never studied back then", and the real Ganki said while smacking his forehead. The real Ganki watch as the clone would be sentenced to punishment for failure to answer the question. The teacher than exited the class as it was now over, but the clone had the wipe the chalk board clean, it really was a dread form punishment, The real Ganki followed the copy as he joined him in cleaning the board. The copy turned towards Ganki once he begun to clean the board, "Yo what do you want?" Ganki answered while cleaning the board, doing most of the work. "Yeah you should be studying more instead if clowning around the outskirts with the boys”, Ganki would know this because he did the same, and he was him after all. The copy’s looked changed, going from a frustrated looked to a socked puzzled one. How could he have known he thought, he knew if he wasn’t followed, most of the time? “How did you know that, and besides I can’t focus on all that boring work, even if I try…try to prove dad wrong…” The real Ganki continued to look towards the clone; he remembered how he got into the academy, well forced to begin with. Ganki crouched down till he was eye to eye with his copy, “Look, it will all pay off soon, trust me, you will prove to pops that you are worth more than he thinks.” The clone Ganki smiled a bit at the ray of hope, “Really, how so?” This hope gave him the will to try harder, to act more instead of clowning around. Ganki stood up and made his way towards the door, the ray of light shined upon the real Ganki as he was about to ascend once more, “I don’t know, try jounin worth…”, Ganki said with a sly look on his face. As soon as he said that the copy Ganki disappeared from sight, with a smile on his face. Ganki knew he did what he had to do, passing the stage or level in a sense. With that Ganki was hurled up into the sky, returning into the room of darkness, Ganki had defeated the second door.
Now back inside the room, Ganki watched as the second door of light disappeared, he was now starting to get what was going on. Apparently these doors are linked to Ganki’s past experiences, he didn’t know who this came to be, but getting out was his first priority and to do so he would have to complete all of the doors in order to escape. The copy clone then spoke, “Yeah, you seem to be getting it, about time.” The real Ganki nodded in agreement as he heard the words, but quickly spun around to meet him, but all was the same he met the back of the copy, “Not going to work Gank, I’m a copy of you, sort of like a reflection, when you turn I turn.” The real Ganki then understood a bit more, “Yeah well… HEY WHAT THE HELL YOU CAN TALK NOW?” His shouting was loud with confusion as the copy can now talk. Before ganki could continue arguing with the clone, he felt the same force as before, now being sucked into the doo of light, “Ahh man not this again…” Ganki was now once again falling, this time he merely folded his hands and crossed his legs as he fell, waiting for the next little game.
The Gate of Limit:
Once placed inside the setting that he was destined to go, once he was placed there, his form was changed, well position wise that is. He was now trapped, well stuck behind a once moving boulder, it’s fresh trail was left behind by its rolling movement. His hands and back left to keep the boulder from moving, or else it would crush him, and his partner. That’s right, another Ganki was here, but the setting was a bit different from his memories. The copy Ganki asked the real one on how he got here, interrupting his training. That was the moment when it hit him, the real Ganki. This was the day when he set out to training physical strength, which was one of Ganki’s main problems, past problems. Back then when Ganki was a mere genin, even chuunin, Ganki’s strength was a bit weak for his rank, but lucky his speed and chakra reserves compensated for that. Ganki could perform powerful jutsu at a young age, some jutsu that most jounin in his village couldn’t achieve. But in the village of the clouds, people who had lack physical strength were frowned upon deeply. Ganki, while holding fast against the rock shifted his position, lending all his strength to his copy, “Like this, we can push the rock back upwards much quicker and easier this way”, he said this as he placed both his hands against the rock, while his two feet would act as braces, stopping the rock from moving any further, his back was no longer against the rock. The copy reluctantly followed as he had done the same, with their combined effort the two managed to stop push the rock up a bit, up the steep hillside. Ganki along with the other copy, gave it their all, with their weak strength this would prove to be a difficult challenge in deed. The real Ganki looked towards the copy, commending him of his help and teamwork. “Hey, how did you get here anyway, mission, training?” The copy responded with honesty, “Well, I came here not only because I wanted to train, but because I was told by the instructors. You see, all thought I am genin, I still get bossed around all the time by those stupid instructors, lame right?” Ganki, the real one, then remembered that he did in fact did get sent here, it was an assignment to see who could last up here the longest, the trick was how long you could survive up on top of the mountains. The altitude was roughly high, causing the air to get thinner and thinner, it was a training requirement that all citizens of kumogakure went through, to build enough stamina to handle the harsh weather. Ganki along with the clone managed to push the rock up the hill until finally they managed to do it; the rock was brought to a rest on a flat area. Ganki then turned towards the copy, “Yeah it sucks, but at least we finished the work. Hey, remember that time when you decided to take that lunch box that belongs to Makaro Sensei? Whatever you do, don’t…”, before the real Ganki could finish his job, The beam of light came down upon him instantly, sending him back to the dark place. The poor clone vanished as well; Ganki still didn’t know what was going on fully. Ganki just wished for this whole trip down memory lane to be over.
Upon his return he feel to the floor, flat on his stomach, he rolled a bit in pain but eventually rose himself up. The copy of Ganki was right behind him, with another new improvement. What Ganki didn’t know, was that the clone gained his memories as well, so technically, he was an exact clone of Ganki. The clone then spoke to Ganki while he still faced his back, “Nice job kid, you only have one more door to go and we will be out of here.” The clone was filled with hope that Ganki would finish this thing once and for all. The real Ganki waited for the light to suck him into the portal, “When this is over, you got to tell me everything. How I got here, what all this means, seriously”, the clone nodded his head, “Deal.” With that the real Ganki was sucked into the light, hurling towards the final challenge. He eagerly awaited the final challenge; he couldn’t wait to be done with it all.
The Gate of Death:
As he fell, he landed on a hard dirt surface; he finally arrived at his destination. Ganki stood up, still dressed in his shirt and boxer shorts. His surroundings were that of a stadium, weird he thought. Ganki had never been here before, even in his memories. The sound of footsteps made their way over to Ganki, He turned towards the direction of the footsteps, preparing himself to what was to come. When the footsteps stopped a voice echoed from behind Ganki, “Over here asshole”, Ganki quickly turned around, gasping at the fact that he swore the foorsteps were towards his direction. The figure was hidden in the shadows, to be more specific; the shadows hid his face from Ganki. He was armed with a strange suit of armor like nothing before, two katanas, and unique looking gloves. Ganki spoke out at the figure, “Ok I know you are me so let me ask you one thing, where are we and what do we have to do to get out of here?” The figure stepped out of the shadows, revealing his face, the face of Ganki. “Sorry Ganki, nothing personally…well actually it is”, he said with a laugh. “If you cannot tell I am the same Ganki from the room.” The real Ganki quickly interrupted, “From the academy?”, he said while scratching his head. The clone’s look quickly sharpened, “No!! From the room!!”. The real Ganki answered once more” Oh from the beginning, the bedroom right?” The clone dropped his head as he made a few hands signs, maybe this will kick start that slow peanut head of yours. Once the clone finished his hand signs a surge of electricity surrounded his left hand, it was the raikiri. The real Ganki stood prepared, but was shocked how he would have to face himself. The real Ganki also weaved the same hands signs, creating the same raikiri as well. “Why are you doing this, aren’t you me!” the two headed straight for each other, “No, I am me.” A surge clash of lightning lit up the entire arena, destroying some of the pillars as well. After the clash, the two managed to gain some distance between each other, their attacks cancelled out each other, no surprise. The clone spoke up in rage “Can’t you see I want out. I’m tired living in your body with no control, I have wants to. I thought that I was never going to get out, stuck within a mind of a maniac. But ever since that strange crystal came into your possession, it gave me the power to fight back, the chance to escape this trap. That dark room, it was your subconscious, their no way I’m going to stay there for another second.” The supposed “evil”, Ganki stared at the real Ganki, while he did he raised his left hand towards Ganki. Within that palm, chakra began to develop, taking a spherical shape to it, the rasengan. “Now!!!, I will have control, but in order to do that I have to knock you out, so that strange light can beam me up instead of you. “THANKS FOR BUYING THE AMETHYST ASSHOLE”, he yelled, as he charged straight for the real Ganki, with anger and bloodlust. His eyes spoke for themselves as they were teeming with malevolence, along with his wicked grin. The real Ganki made two lightning style clones; one would appear at his 6, 5 feet behind him, while the other appeared at Ganki’s right, 2 meters away. The two clones in from charged forward, the clone on the right took the lead as he gained a few meters ahead of him. Armed with a katana that the clone unsheathed with his right hand, would then make a slash towards the oncoming shinobi, Ganki had planned for the clone to be destroyed, allowing for its dangerous effect to activate, electrocuting the clone. The Yin Ganki laughed as he used his body flicker jutsu to take down the clone that the real Ganki made, the one that remain back. “You must think I’m an idiot, you were planning on using that clone as a way to activate your sage mode.” The evil one stooped roughly 4 meters away from the still clone, tossing 4 kunai, taking it out without a hassle, “You really need to work on these lame brain strategies.” The real Ganki grunted as he raised his left hand, attempting to call on his celestial sword, but it was not successful. “Great, no sage sword, no sage mode… just what am I supposed to do”, Ganki called off his clone as it simply vanished from sight. Pulling his sword out of his sheath, with his left hand, he charged forward towards the evil Ganki, nevertheless, he was halted by him as the other Ganki mirrored his ever gesture. The two were placed in a grid lock. They were evenly matched, till the real Ganki had an idea. Ganki broke off from the gridlock, gaining a few feet as he stepped back, “Listen Ganki, I’m the real one so u got to go”, he dashed forwards at lightning speed, extending his katana outwards. The evil one did the same, as he charged forward, in that instant just before both katana clashed, Ganki summoned an abnormal amount of chakra, it strengthen his fist as he aimed at right at the evil clone, knocking him out in an instant. Finally, the deed was done; the evil clone was flat on the floor, on his back. The real Ganki looked up to the sky as he was beamed back into which was now known as his subconscious.
Upon his return, he witnesses the gates closing in on each other, merging into a single gate. Once the process was complete, the single entity formed into a sphere, which then floated upwards towards the hover body, which then disappeared, along with Ganki’s sight. Everything went blank, he felt strange at first, but then felt relieved once he gained his sight back, but the setting was entirely different than before.
Once he regained his sight, he found himself in an open field within the Thunder Bird Sanctuary, still wearing his tee shirt and boxer shorts. But what was odd was the mound of dirt that was in front of him, it was odd at first. Then, an old friend came by to visit, Rotoi, his summoning. Ganki asked him how he even got here, for all he remembered was that little incident and sleeping in his bed. Even Rotoi didn’t know as he shook his head. Once the awkward silence came setting in, ganki decided to prepare for his departure back to the cloud village.
