Lazy ANBU {Private}

The morning clouds lay low over Tengakure. In fact, the tips of most of the skyscrapers were shrouded in a low lying cloud cover. The village looked almost...peaceful. How odd. It often looked imposing and artificial, but today the tall building seemed to become part of the natural landscape, well, at least in the eyes of Shinji: the second Tenkage of Tengakure. From his office atop the highest tower the layout of the village seemed like something out of a children's book-everything looked so simple. Turning away from the window behind his desk Shinji returned to his seat and looked down at the intimidating stack of papers that had accumulated on his desk. For the past couple days he had been attending the kage summit. Alas, no one had the foresight to do some of this paperwork themselves, so it left Shinji with the daunting job of tackling this stack of papers-he would rather fight a few missing ninja. 

So, were anyone to enter his office at this point they would find Shinji with disheveled hair and his omnipresent look of mild sleep deprivation. Instead of wearing his kage robes he wore his lightweight jounin pants and a white shirt that had the Uzumaki clan emblem emblazoned on its back. All in all Shinji really wanted to relax, but he had no time for any of it: the duty of a kage were endless. So, for now he found himself signing endless pieces of paper that were bound for god knows where.

Yozora would enter the skyscraper of the Kage. With her face hidden behind her red and blue marked ANBU mask, that symbolized a wild cat, she walked through the lobby full of people doing their job. At the end of the hall she entered an elevator which would take her to the upper levels, where Kage's office is located. Apparently by the time she and Xyxer made it to the Land of Iron, the Gokage Summit had already reached its conclusion and the Kages with their escorts had already left. And they also missed Shinji on their way there. Luckily by the time they reached the village, the man would already be there. On their way back, Yozora and Xyxer got separated and the girl had no idea where the he was. Maybe he was already up there, maybe he took a different route of had something else to do.

A short bell indicated the elevator stopped and after the doors opened Yozora stepped into the most important floor in this building - the so called Intelligence HQ, which also contained Kage's office. After a few seconds of quick march through the hallways, the girl finally reached her destination. Due to how people reacted and what kind of things they were doing she deducted the Kage being already back. The girl would knock a couple of times at Shinji's doors. "It's Shinkou Yozora. May I come in?" If the permission was given she would step inside and close the doors behind her. "Sir, I must assume you have already heard about the recent attack on the village... I'm here in case you wanted first hand details."

Those god damn, no good, lazy anbu...It was this singular thought that floated through Shinji's mind as he heard the voice of one of his newest anbu at his office door. With a soft sigh he called Yozora in with the agitation clear in his voice: "Come right on in." Naturally the anbu operative walked right on in after being invited and then came what Shinji knew was coming: the attack. Thus, far Shinji had only received cursory reports and naturally he was interested in what exactly happened, so in the same agitated voice he asked for Yozora to give her report: "Go ahead, tell me what happened-I want to know everything." Shinji then returned to signing papers he was not in the mood for pleasantries and he could listen and sign papers at the same time.

Shinji did not look very good, then again, he seemed to always have this exhausted look. Being a Kage must be quite... well, it sucks as they say it. His voice worried Yozora a bit, she knew him being always vigilant, but she preferred the sleepy Shinji over an agitated one. Nevertheless, he would hear what happened from her, so she would start speaking. At first she would explain how she got mixed into it, being about to replace Kenchi as Tenkage's bodyguard she got called from an observation tower that spotted someone approaching the gates. By the time she got to the gates, the person - a girl, later identified as an S ranked rogue ninja originally from Tengakure, seen in Kumogakure, Makina Hoshimura later called Minatsuki Takami - was already there, shouting threats and insults to the village. Soon, others of the village would gather at the gates, among them were Xyxer, Jounin Denkiteki and a Chuunin Rin Taiki, who immediately provided valuable intel with his sensory technique. It would seem there was one more enemy in the distance and the boy had tracked what he believed to be a clone technique because both had originally the same chakra that originated from a single source, one of them later changing it. Based on that they assumed one of them was a clone and it made sense for the girl to be, as it was standard and reasonable to send the clone forward rather than keeping it concealed in the distance. After realizing the threats had no effect, the girl attacked the village shield, and the guardians, based on their assumptions, attempted to launch an assault on the original in the distance. The assault would break short, because as soon as they landed the enemy in front of the gates, the girl/clone would break away and do what seemed to be an escape, leaving no trace behind. So did the one in the distance, it seemed. Yozora explained how Rin launched himself after the man and what he said after he returned, which only confirmed their speculation. There were also small clues of what kind of technique the clone used to shield itself before disappearing and it would prove the real attacked being at least a major threat. Lastly, Yozora would explain how they with Xyxer tried to get to Shinji at the Gokage summit, but were obviously late, which caused a further setback to fully inform him. "If you want to have that on paper, I can file it." She ended.

While signing away papers in a hurry Shinji half listened to the report of Yozora. Being kage came with many perks-listening to reports was not one of them. Despite this Shinji was able to grasp what happened-maybe his anbu were not quite so lazy as he thought. Then again Xyxer was no where to be seen. All the same, one question rang out in his mind above all else that he chose to ask once the young anbu operative had finished. When she finally finished Shinji stopped signing papers and took time to consider what she just said. Then, looking up from his desk with a rather glum look on his face, he spoke slowly and calmly: "If you would please put that in a detailed report that would be good. I will report this to the Leaf village, because as of the Gokage summit they have reinstated the Fire Nation. I suppose they would want to hear of this attack. I would also like a doubling of patrols on our borders...Do we have any leads on who actually attacked us?" At this point Shinji glanced down at his desk again, thinking and waiting for a response from Yozora. If Yozora answered then Shinji would wait a few seconds and then glance up at the anbu and continue to speak: "Otherwise...how have you adapted to the lifestyle of an anbu black ops?" Shinji knew there were many things to be done, but right now he needed to clear his mind and conversation seemed the best way to do that.

When she was done, Shinji asked her to put the report on paper. It was not surprising, having stuff like this on paper is good if it needs to be referenced, which it will, being big news and all. As Shinji said that, he stopped working on papers. He also mentioned Konoha having reinstated Fire Nation, which dared to assume was not the best of the news from the Summit. As the order came out to double patrols on the borders, Yozora made a nod and exhaled a short 'Understood' during the pause before the next sentence, which made her linger for a moment on what info was collected. Did they have any leads? The most obvious lead was the girl being impersonated. If she was alive, finding her might give them the answers, if not then maybe tracing her steps would lead them to the culprits. As soon as she explained him her thoughts, Shinji changed the topic by asking her how she adapted to the ANBU lifestyle. The sudden change threw Yozora back a bit, but soon she would speak again, taking off her ANBU mask and letting Shinji see her smile, even if through another mask that covered half of her face and her red eyes right above it. "It's every bit as fun and interesting as I expected. And I don't feel my talents being wasted like when I was a Genin... Ah, thanks for making me ANBU, I guess."

Yozora would tell Shinji this and add that Rin mentioned his Wood Release being torn apart by tidal forces, which, from what she understood in physics, are tied in with Gravity.

There is no way any of you knew it was gravity, so this is heavy godmod mettagaming, for all you know it was Fuuton, or just raw chakra.  I know you all are reaching for Intel, but please do it in the right way.}

There is in no way a meta game in here, as Yozora is repeating what she has heard Rin say back in the Assault thread. After inspecting the posts back there... Yes, I would probably not be able to conclude it was tidal forces, yet it could not have been raw chakra or wind either, because of how different it all would be, for raw chakra - well, you would need a shockwave to do something like that (pure chakra shield could only stop the wood, not tear it apart) and for wind you would need the actual wind to shred it, not a nice breeze that you have there. But I also found out I can easily negate what you wrote about concealing the clone in chakra and semi-godmoding us into being unable to sense it, because Kagura's has an ability to differ between chakra, bodies and jutsu (otherwise it would be just like Sharingan. The sensory example nr. 1: The Hidden Mist), flooding the inside of the shell with gravity chakra would do you no good, only get you torn to pieces by your own jutsu. I will edit both my posts here and there, as nothing would have changed except what Rin saw/senced and that he, Yozora and Xyxer now know for certain that it was a clone.

And on a side note, I suggest you read some about gravity because it does not work the way you want it to. Gravity is a force of great mass and long range. If you create a local pseudo-blackhole with effects like that, then not only the wood would be torn to pieces, but also your clone, your char, our chars and probably the village as well. Gravity does not affect only a single object, it affects all objects in its range. And the range is proportional (F=m/R^2, if I'm correct) to its force. A short range, local gravity pull would have an extremely weak effect, and a strong pull would have planetary wide range. If you want something short and powerful, read about Strong Nuclear Interaction, which is about 10³⁹ times stronger than gravitation. Now, I know I'm going to far into physics here. There are many examples of gravity being used in anime in similar fashion and all, but it's usually balanced and limited to press down or pull something as a whole, not pull one square cm and push the other, not create pseudo black hole effect on a surface of a ball without having any effect on the inside of it, not making "gravity projectiles" whatever that is, not fluctuating tidal forces into shit. Actually I'd suggest banning it once nobody is using it and toning and limiting it down before that. Chibaku Tensei is banned and it's gravity based, pretty much a tiny black hole, not unlike what you wrote back there, except it actually makes sense as it only pulls. And with what Shouten wields right now, you have worse stuff than Chibaku.

{I'm not going to get into a debate with you on gravity, the only thing I am saying is watch the meta gaming.  
I know your probably gonna type a big long book in response, but it does not change the fact no one knows that it is gravity, so that needs to be changed, and you need to double check your Intel. No reason to have a big conversation over this, your wrong for mettagaming, fix it and move on.}

Alright done. Edited 3 posts in the Assault thread and 2 here. All that changed was intel observed by Rin and then relayed to Yozora and Xyxer, also what was relayed to Shinji here.
Rin's word count in the Assault thread increases, but not enough to make a difference.
Yozora's word count decreases but not bellow 2500 to make a difference.

I edited both posts here, as Shinji says my edits would not change the way his character reacts.
