Checking the mission boards, Corvin found a mission he assumed would be very simple. All he had to do was patrol the old cemetery where many of the great shinobi of times past had been buried. He could not remember the last time there was an attempted grave robbery, so this mission simply had to be a cake walk. After accepting, he headed out to the graveyard at the indicated time and relieved the current guy on duty. It was not long before he began feeling extremely bored. He took to walking around the graveyard and reading the inscription on each grave. The guys who engraved these things sure did like to be elaborate. Many of the graves not only had extremely elaborate designs over their graves, but the wording was often done in attempt at grandiose poetry that ended up coming off as simply cheesy.
He was in the midst of reading a particularly cheesy grave stone when something caught his ear. It was just a rustle of leaves, but it was enough to catch Corvin's attention. He soon heard a similar rustle, but it came from the opposite end of the graveyard. Few normal people were this fast, which for Corvin meant this had to be a shinobi. He readied a kunai under his sleeve and called out that if the person be friendly they should show themselves. It was right about this point that Corvin felt the huge wish that he could afford his first puppet. Hearing no one respond, he called out again, but still nothing. He then caught a glimpse of someone move quickly by some bushes where the first rustle was. How fast was this guy? Another rustle let him know that the mystery speedster was behind him now.
Spinning around Corvin launched a kunai, but seeing and hearing nothing let him know that he had missed his mark. It was a long shot anyway. Who decided it was a good idea to build a cemetery surrounded by bushes?! Finally, Corvin decided to go on the offensive. Making a quick hand signal, he sunk himself down into the earth. Once completely submerged and able to sense those walking around him, he almost smacked himself. There was not one super fast shinobi, there were three not so sneaky people in bushes to his right, left, and rear. He made his way behind the one to his rear and came up above ground. It was clearly just some teenagers wanting to scare whomever was patrolling the cemetery. This one in particular was lucky to not have been hit by his kunai, which had lodged itself into a nearby tree. The boy still had not noticed Corvin, as he was too busy trying to find where he had disappeared to. Rolling his eyes, he let out a blood curdling scream that echoed out into the night. The kid did not even bother to look behind him, he merely ran. Corvin could not suppress his giggles as he heard the other two partners in crime running off at the sound. The rest of his shift was relatively uneventful, but he would sure have a nice story to tell.
