Shinji's chain flourish was a success, well for the most part, he had managed to destroy all the clones as each one fell into puddles of water as they were cut down by the chain. However, one version of Daemon, the Shinji could only assume was the original, had managed to, through some rather stunning acrobatics, avoid the chain. As the chain passed through the last of the water clones, Shinji retracted the chain back to his body at full speed. He saw no real reason to over extend himself. Especially when it seemed as if the Yuki was intent on coming to Shinji- no reason to chase him. The chain would be full retracted once Daemon started the hand seals for god knows what jutsu. As opposed to outright attacking Daemon and cutting off his jutsu mid hand seal simply waited as his out stretched arm dropped to his side.

Though his body did not move, Shinji made sure to watch each and everyone of Daemon's movements. He wanted to see what the Yuki had learned of the ice release. The former kage had seen many things; men who could seemingly make things move with naught but a small motion, a boy who flew with gloves and even a man who could bend water to his will. However, never had he seen the ice release of the Yuki clan and he figured now was a good a time as any to see it in action. Thus, as he stood there and watched as a vast wall of ice constructs formed in the air around him. For a split second Shinji was caught up in the beauty of the ice release, but this lapse in concentration was quickly overcome and the Uzumaki returned to his battle senses. Now, as the Yuki started to flit from mirror to mirror Shinji knew it would be rather foolish to attempt to follow the kid with his eyes, not that he couldn't just it would be a pain in the neck, so instead he stood still and concentrated. Honing his mind Shinji followed the vague chakra signature of the Yuki boy. Granted he could not track the boy while he sat in the mirrors as the chakra used to create the mirrors obscured his chakra signature, but he could see when the boy shifted mirrors and that was all Shinji needed as from that he could know where the genin was. Thus, he waited and waited for the Yuki to make the first move. All the while the former kage kept track of where Daemon was through use of his chakra senses.

The only Problem with all this speed was the simple fact that he did not have the Strength to use with it, not to mention if he tried to take to a hand to hand fight he would lose his speed. He was above shinji and a thought crossed his mind. Forming hand seals, and if shinji had his eyes open all mirrors would show him Forming them, and there formed in the air would be four more daemons again, each one facing the opposite direction, think + that and the lines are the way they are faced, and upon being made they would blitz off each other, by pushing off the feet of the one behind them, and head for a mirror where they would be allowed entrance. Upon Entrance they themselves would begin to blitz from mirror to Mirror, One stopping at the Mirror on the bottom to the Direct left of Shinji. The Other three would pick a mirror also, One being above the clone to shinjis left but one mirror to the right from it another being Directly across from that one and one being behind Shinji himself.

If all went as planned and the clones made it to the Specified Locations the one Behind Shinji would blast out of the mirror aimed for his back, Now the if it did connect would do nothing more than just burst into water and possibly make Shinji chilled for it was not strong just fast at this point. Daemon would watch to see what would happen.

Shinji did indeed have his eyes open and, his concentration now broken, he simply watched as the various images of Daemon formed a quick series of hand seals. As the Yuki made these hand seals a rather odd thought passed through Shinji's mind: he should allow the young yuki to act without being interrupted by a counter attack from Shinji. Now, under any other circumstances this thought would be pure suicide, but the former kage wished to see what the genin was capable of. If that meant taking a hit? Then so be it. So, instead of firing off an array of chakra chains to break each and every mirror that Daemon had created, Shinji returned to his state of concentration and waited to see where Daemon's chakra signature would flit to next.

However, as opposed to seeing only one chakra signature pass quickly between mirrors Shinji found that there were now four chakra signatures moving through the mirrors. This posed many problems to the Uzumaki as for one now he did not know where the real Daemon was, hell, he could have remained in the same mirror and sent clones out, but Shinji could not be sure. Another problem this posed was a rather obvious one: it meant it was now four on one, and that was only judging by the chakra signatures he could sense- there could be god knows how many clones simply waiting. All the same Shinji chose to stick with the path he had chosen before as plans made off the cuff were often doomed to fail and make the battle all the worse.

Shinji was well aware that a version of Daemon was coming up behind him, but he did not make a single movement, not even to flinch like any person would. Instead he cut out his concentration, thus leading to a lack of chakra senses and internally braced for impact. Oddly enough when the impact came it came in a wet splash- he had not really been expecting that, but seeing as the attack was accompanied with the explosion of water and lacked any real force, at least to the senses of Shinji, he figured it must have been one of those water clones. Immediately after the clone had attacked Shinji a wry smile crossed over the former kage's face. However, this smile was only visible for a brief second as he began to speak in a rather cool tone, "Is that all you can do? Send everything you have at me." Shinji hoped that this challenge would help to motivate the genin to try something spectacular. In preparation for what may come his body tensed imperceptibly.

A challenge one that Daemon would Ultimately fail. He did have Large Chakra reserves but he lacked the jutsu to go with it. Instead Daemon would try something a little different seeing as he was about to be out of time for not only this jutsu but doing so much had made him quite tired and he would need to rest soon. He would send rest of the clones out while he slowly slipped out of the mirror. The clones would do as the first one did and attempt to blast Shinji with the speed and burst upon contact. Daemon would be on the floor just as they made it and he would swing his leg out in a attempt to knock Shinji off balance and cause him to trip. If succesful he would attempt to put his boot on his chest and grin. If not well he guessed Shinji would dodge and more then likely counter.

Upon either Scenario happening Deamon would still smile and bow as the Mirrors melted away into nothing as he willed it away seeing as he could not use it any more now. "Well thats about it....i lack the will to go on right now if i did i fear i would pass out and need a trip to the Hospital." he said as he sat down looking at Shinji wondering what he would do.

Shinji, still concentrating, knew that he could not just stand still this time or it would seem as if he were not trying. Furthermore, the former kage did not really enjoy losing, especially to genin. Not to say it was unheard of, he just did not like the idea. However, on the other hand he had a feeling he was more than a match for the Yuki in strength, so why not wait for the genin to come to him? Figuring it was a good idea as any Shinji, once again, waited. In a heartbeat three more water clones impacted him leaving him soaked, but honestly all it felt like was buckets of water being poured on him. Then came the first real physical hit that he had felt all day, but as opposed to crumpling under the hit Shinji found that he was more than strong enough to match the Yuki's attempt at knocking him off balance, thus the battle would end in a deadlock.

The Yuki quickly disengaged and bowed to Shinji. The Uzumaki took note that the ice mirrors all dispersed. At first he wondered why, but then the boy's words revealed why: he was at his physical limit. Flashing a sympathetic smile to the young Yuki. Once the kid was done speaking, Shinji spoke up in a warmer tone than before, "Its all good, nice technique by the way. You just need to work on some more attacks." Pausing for a second Shinji reached inside his water logged pocket and pulled out 1000 ryo. Holding the ryo out to the boy Shinji continued, "I figure you should buy some weapons or something of the sort. I have no need for this ryo, so feel free to take. Consider it a gift and one you need not pay back." Hoping that the Yuki would take the ryo and make up some silly excuse, Shinji would hold out the ryo until it was taken at which point he would all his hand to rest comfortably at his side.

Regardless of the ryo being taken the small dragon hatchling would wander back into the room in a clearly fatigued state. In fact, the small dragon did not even make it all the way to Shinji. Instead it moved to the left of the door and fell straight asleep. While its master had been sparring it had been training long and hard. Garnted it was not the same kind of training as the little dragon was no where near fighting size. Instead it had spent the time attempting to fly and moving with a rather unnatural agility between people's feet. Once she had fallen asleep the small dragon began to make small dragon snores that filled the air with a burnt toast smell.

The Kick connected but it did no good as he had thought it would turn out like that but he had at least managed to make Physical Contact with the former Kage, something he thought he would never be able to do, Shinji was however Quite Soaked and it led to an idea for a new Jutsu one that would be quite fun at that and deadly. Shinji had reached in to his pocket and held out a bag of Ryo, Daemon had already borrowed money but Shinji said it was a gift....and one that Daemon didn't think he could turn down as he needed some ninja Tools quite Bad. "Thank you. Also the Jutsu is a clan one i find it fun to use though i just get to blitz around in ice." he said he he took the Ryo and watched the small dragon come back in and dropped and fell asleep. "How would you like some lunch?" he asked shinji hoping he would say yes.

Not trying to be rude, Shinji turned around as Daemon began to speak. However, as opposed to leaving the former kage walked over to sleeping baby dragon and picked it up. Holding the small dragon in his arms he listened to the rest of what the Yuki had to say. It was a simple enough request and, Shinji did have a certain yen for some hot soup. "Sure, why not? Lets be on our way as I need to walk off this chill. Please lead the way." Shinji would merely wait for the boy to lead the way to where ever he wanted to go. Naturally Shinji would follow with dragon in hand. As he walked the water that soaked his clothes slowly dripped off drip by drip and bit by bit the former kage got dryer and dryer.

"Ok will do hows Ramen?" he asked knowing Shinji had to be cold from the water that was on him, after all his blood allowed him to chill the water just by touching it no telling what would happen after being in a frozen zone covered in water. He would turn as Shinji began to follow him his dragon in his hand. He would lead him up the stairs and outside into the warm sunlight, something he had grown to hate he figured it was his blood that made him hate it but one could never be to sure. "So what was it like being Kage?" He asked as they continued the five minute walk to the nearest Ramen stand.

Being kage, well, there was a rather profound question. Giving it some thought Shinji thought for a bit and finally formulated a suitable answer, "To be honest I felt like, when I became kage, I became less of a shinobi. As opposed physically helping Tengakure I was confined to my office, which as you might have noticed is far above most every building in the village....It should not have been like that. I should have been on the ground floor. being so high up makes one feel disconnected....." Shinji was not really sure what else to say or if he had even answered the boy's question. All the same he found that they had just arrived at the ramen shop, so he walked right in and took a seat at a table where one could see the street from.

Daemon understood what Shinji meant, if only a little bit, He felt bad for not being able to see his people or even protect them quickly being that high up. Indeed he did know it was one of the tallest buildings and being that high up was a double edged sword It kept one from just walking in and attacking the kage but it meant the Kage had to do a lot of work to get to his people in a case of emergency. "I get what you mean...." he said offhandedly as they entered the shop and took a seat. The waiter came up and began to ask what they wanted Daemon would wait for Shinji to order before he placed his own.
