Repose {P}

When many people think of skyscrapers they think only of their soaring stories and glassy exteriors. What people often miss is the underground part of this great monoliths. It was in the lowest level of the training towers where Shinji now sat in a quiet repose. There was not a soul in the room for the simple fact that this was a meditation room, which, for Shinji, often doubled as a sleeping room. However, currently he was indeed meditating as he found it surprisingly calming. Before he had no time for such things, but now, with no official job, he was free to explore all kinds of things he had not experienced before due to time constraints and his position as kage. So, he sat, cross legged and eyes closed, simply allowing his mind to flow from one idea to the next. The only problem with the meditation room was that there was no door, so people could poke their heads in as they pleased.

Were someone to poke their head in they would not merely see Shinji. To Shinji's right they would no doubt see the small dragon hatchling that Shinji had recently taken possession of after it hatched. Her name? Luna. Her blue scales gave her an almost gemlike appearance. Although she was not meditating like Shinji, no, she was napping. It seemed as if baby dragons spent most of their time napping, which was not something Shinji could fault the little one for taking time to sleep. Every once and a while a light snore could be heard from the dragon along with small columns of smoke rising from the little one's nose. It was truly a picturesque scene. What could be more, dare one say it, cute than a man and his dragon....well...probably a lot of things, but Shinji did not allow thoughts such as these to dirty his mind, because in reality his mind was blank all he thought about was his next breath: inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale.

Daemon found himself at the training towers once again he never really left after the spar with Yukan he just wandered around. He did however find himself at the underground portion of the towers in the 'Meditation rooms?' he thought as he read the sign he began to walk around trying not to peek his head in the doors but was unable to resist when he saw one room light up with a white light every so often. He reached the door and peeked in seeing a beautiful little creature that looked like a dragon and next to it was Shinji!?!? he thought about shouting out to him but decided not to, as did not want to disturb everyone here, instead he walked into the room, as quietly as he could manage, and sat down three meters in front of shinji and watched what he was doing. 'Just breating in and out is what it looks like.' he thought as he closed his eyes and began doing the same his breathing matching that of Shinji's own.

In, out, in, out, inhale, exhale, inhale. Theses were the thoughts that drifted slowly through Shinji's mind as if a dream. In fact, he was in such deep thought, or rather lack thereof, that he did not hear nor sense the lone figure of the Yuki enter, but the baby dragon sure did. The little thing was up in a heartbeat and looking around for the disturbance and made a slight squeaking noise as if it were attempting to roar, but very little came out save for the squeak. Now, this sound was the sound that disturbed Shinji. His eyes, or rather eye as it were seeing as Shinji's left eye was covered by a peculiar patch, remained closed, but it was enough to force sense back into the former Tenkage. Using his chakra senses he felt the baby dragon and to his surprise another chakra source dead in front of him. Upon this revelation Shinji's eye shot open and to his surprise he saw Daemon, the Yuki boy.

Rather astonished to say the least, Shinji gently patted Luna on the head to quell her squealing. Then, a calm gentle voice he spoke up for the Yuki to hear, "What brings you down here Daemon?" Normally, Shinji would have been startled, but he had become better at composing himself. Odd that he should master the art of composure only after stepping down from the seat of kage, but he cared not. Now he was more interested in what the Yuki was doing here. While he waited for an answer the little dragon nuzzled Shinji's hand that had previously been patting the little thing on the head.

His eyes were closed as the dragon began to squeal, at which they popped open rather quickly. Looking at Shinji he listened to what he had to say watching the dragon with Curiosity as he did. "To be honest it was the white light that came from this room and i decided to enter as i saw you here as well.....also i thought you wanted to see what the Ice element could do." he said, the last part he began to smirk at as he waited to see what Shinji would say about wanting to see the his clans element in action. "Also i met a Nara....weird clan that one...." he said offhandedly.

Shinji listened quietly to the Yuki boy and, oddly enough, as did the small dragon baby. The dragon, as of late, had begun to become much more mature granted not in terms of speech or the like, but in small ways, voice renegotiation and such. Deciding that Daemon was no threat the little dragon started to walk around the meditation room with a rather clumsy gait, which warranted a rather whimsical smile from Shinji. However, this smile was short lived as the former kage answered Daemon, first affirming that the nara clan was weird in general, "Yes, the Nara clan...well...they are an interesting bunch to say the least" Shinji was reminded of a particularly good looking anbu operative who was a Nara, but quickly put the thought out of his mind as he continued, "And, naturally, I would love to see some of the ice jutsu you have mastered. Please, by all means show me what you have learned. If you feel up to it I can even spar you. It is always good to try a jutsu in a spar as you get expir--well you know that." Shinji cut himself off as he felt as if he were lecturing the young genin and he did not want to seem like some babbling old fool. Thus, he simply waited for a response from the Yuki. Hopefully he had not scared him by offering to spar.

A spar that is what Shinji offered him. Now to anyone else this might seem like a death sentence but to Daemon this was a dream come true who else could say they sparred the former Tenkage Shinji Uzumaki as a Gennin? "SURE!" He exclaimed then spoke again "....I mean a spar would help me improve my skills in battle sir." he said with a much calmer voice this time. "You will have to lack my speed but you can belive i make up for it in Chakra Reserves!" Daemon said ecstatically as he stood up wondering were the spar would take place at. "Should we spar here or outside?" he asked Shinji The room could make due it was lit well enough and had a good dimensions being a cicular room with a radius of 10 meters and the ceiling was atleast 5 feet above the small boy, Perhaps 4 for Shinji. "Oh have you learned anything for you Ranton Release?" he asked curiously.

Politely hearing the boy out Shinji shook his head in response to the boy's last question; he had not yet worked with the ranton element. Sadly, he found he got caught up in his day and never got around to it. He then spoke up, "Well, I suppose we can spar in here. It'll help practice control I suppose. We don't want to go and blow this whole place down, now do we." Then in a rather offhanded way he made a odd comment that Daemon may not get, "Denkiteki would have quite a bit of paperwork on his hands if we were to do that..." Then, without another word Shinji stood and walked till he was about a meter from the doorway. He then turned on a dime and faced Daemon who, assuming he had not moved, would be exactly twelve meters directly in front of him as Shinji had been sitting in the very center of the circular room.

Rolling his shoulders once Shinji would speak up again if the spar had not yet begun, "Well, are you ready?" With those words Shinji could only assume that the spar would begin. Luckily he was wearing non obtrusive clothes. He wore a pair of jeans and a white long sleeve shirt that had the emblem of the Uzumaki clan emblazoned on its back. Underneath these clothes he wore his armor: the armor of the maelstrom. Naturally he also wore his power bracers and his chakra resonator which sat ticking almost soundlessly in his pocket. Oddly enough Shinji's black blade of choice: Makaze was no where in sight. This was due to the fact that the fingerless gloves Shinji wore were no ordinary gloves. Inside the right glove was sealed Makaze. Here it would stay until Shinji called upon it. All in all Shinji was set for battle the only question was if Daemon himself was ready.

Luna, the small dragon, had slipped out of the room while Daemon had been talking about his chakra reserves. Shinji had noticed and figured it would be good for the little one to leave for a while, so he did not try to stop the small hatchling-he could do that later. The hatchling was in for an adventure as it ran through the various training rooms and wove between peoples feet much to their surprise. Surely this would be a work out for the little dragon as it would be for Shinji. Granted the little dragon would not be battling anything, but it would be dodging heavy footfalls and weaving up crowded stairways. While Shinji sparred the icey Yuki boy his dragon would combat insidious footsteps and oblivious walkers.

Daemon listened to what Shinji said and caught something weird about what he said. "Are you wanting him to have to do paperwork?" he asked while cocking his eyebrow. Shinji would get up and walk till he was 12 meters away from him and turn, while he was walking Daemon would make a premptive move and form the hand seals for the Mizu Bunshin Jutsu and making four water Clones from thin air. Daemon found it odd that he had only used the jutsu but one time and now he needed not a water source to form the Bodys that were near him now only the moisture from the air now.

When Shinji turned around he would see a total of Five Daemons, only one being real of course, and they would stand with the Cross formation the real Deamon standing on the right side, Shinjis left, and a clone next to him making the middle of the cross. "Well are you ready?" Daemon heard Shinji say as he finished his movement. "Lets do this!" the five Daemons said at once. With that all of them moved, except the Daemon in the middle which would be used to hopefully make Shinji think it was the real daemon, at the fastest they could, Daemon of course would match the clones speed hoping to solidify the illusion, Towards their opponent. He didn't think they would make it far if Shinji decided to try to take them out and with that in mind he would have the clone that stayed behind use Body flicker moving towards Shinji faster then the other ones did hoping to close the gap and possibly get destroyed and have a usable source of water in which to cast his most powerful, yet lest effective at the moment, jutsu.

If everything went like it should then the real Daemon along with three clones would head out at Shinji in the same cross formation they stood in before, all at a speed of 5, and the one in the middle would body flicker the twelve meters, at a speed of 44, towards shinji. No other actions were made as Daemon lacked the ryo to buy any equipment and as such only had on a Headband and his loose fitting clothes which consisted of a pair of White shorts and a blue shirt.

Shinji was pleased that when he turned around there were now five Daemons. All the same he knew it was time to get serious. He had been honing his battle techniques since his time as kage. Then he was too weak to protect a friend, now it was time to see how far he had progressed. Granted he did not intend annihilate Daemon, but he still felt that he should by no means slack as that would be a clear insult to the Yuki. Thus, as the Yuki said "Let's do this.", Shinji blinked by the time the Yuki had finished speaking Shinji's eye was open again. This time, nestled in the right eye socket, the red three tomed sharingan sat in all its crimson glory as glowed eerily in the poorly lit room. The former Tenkage knew he would need the sharingan if he wished to not be blind sided as he would be fighting with only one eye. His left one, and the one that held a Byakugan, was covered up by an eye patch. However, Shinji hoped that the tracking abilities the sharingan granted that he would be able to make up for the fact that he was fighting with a single eye.

Once Daemon had finished speaking, Shinji knew it was time to truly spar. Oddly enough, his breathing leveled off as he became calmer than before. He found that when going into a spar he fought better with a clear head-he had made the mistake before when rushing the two missing ninja that invaded Tengakure and got thrown out of the highest tower of Tengakure for his arrogance. In a heartbeat the resourceful and quick Uzumaki discerned the Yuki's battle strategy. It was very easy for Shinji to see that one of the clones or the original, he was not sure which, was moving faster than the rest and it became apparent that the one moving faster intended to be the one to meet him in battle first. Sighing Shinji, in one swift motion that would probably look like a blur to the Yuki, lifted his right hand in a fist with his arm outstretched in front of him as he did this he extended his pointer finger at the oncoming Daemons. If that were not threatening enough a orange chakra chain then shot from the finger at a speed of 68 and a strength of the same. The first target? The first target was the body flickering clone. The chain was on target to spear the clone straight through the chest just as the clone itself was five meters from Shinji.

If that were to occur and the clone were to dissolve into water Shinji would not retract his chakra chain. Instead it would continue onwards at the same speed. However, the chain would be guided such that it would pass just to the left (Shinji's right) of the group of Daemon and his clones. Then, just as the chain were to pass the last Daemon in the group, Shinji would sweep his right hand to the left in a fanciful flourish and send the length of the chain hurtling towards the group of Daemons with a speed of 15. Were the Daemons to not react to this then the first to be hit, and in effect be clotheslined by the chakra chain, would be the ones, from Deamon's point of view, on the left. The chain traveled such that it would strike the Daemons at about their mid sections. Granted there would be no stabbing damage as they would be hit by the dull chain and not the tip, but the attack may knock the wind out of the genin if he was hit. Were the attack to go perfectly then the clones hit by this attack would disperse and the real Daemon would be thrown against the wall on Shinji's left. All the same Shinji rather hoped Daemon would be able to pull off something rather interesting. Thus, he had deliberately made the sweep of the chain rather slow, so that the Yuki did have some chance of dodging. He also had no intention of manipulating the chain to chase Daemon around as that would be cruel and pointless.

Naturally, while the spar took place, the baby dragon, Luna, had wandered all the way to the top of a small stack of weights and was attempting to jump off the weights in a vain attempt to fly. A few people laughed, the the little dragon continued to try. She knew that while her master, Shinji, was sparring to get stronger that she should be doing the same. Thus, the small dragon conituously tried jumping down and then, after failure, make its way back up to the top of the small tower of weights. Amazing creatures dragons were.

They had moved and Shinji had blinked when he was done his eye was red 'Red eye?.....but how???' the boy asked himself as he watched what was to happen. Shinjis hand was raised and a finger pointed at the clone that was body flickering and just as it reached 5 meters from Shinji it was hit and dispersed into a puddle of water. Daemon furrowed his eyebrows as he watched this it was going as planned the eyes furrowed not from anger but more of a focus on getting done what needed to be done. The next thing that happened was the flourish of the chain that connected with clones to his left But daemon being able to track the movement would drop down on the ground and continue to move, as he ducked the chain it would pass just an inch over his body, by putting his hands out and making a roll type move, he would use the falling momentum and roll turning that into a jump using his full speed and power as he did, once back on the ground he would move again, he knew Shinji should be able to keep up with his speed right now but what about he used his jutsu....that was the question that got him really pumped he wanted to see how strong he really was and he knew that he gained a hell of alot of speed when he used this technique he may not be able to do anything else but that alone could prove shinji's strength alone.

If he was able to make it at least 5 meters to the the puddle of water he would start the hand seals. Once finished the water would start to take the form of ice Mirrors, the water moving to the Specified places according to the Jutsu, and Daemon would dash into the closest one to him before begging the speed blitz in a attempt to confuse shinji as to his whereabouts. He would of course end at the one at the very of the Dome-esque structure.
