Rumors in the Jungle [D-rank Mission]

Matsuda woke up a little later that morning, in order to catch up with all the sleep that Envy had cost him. Lately, as a result of his passing the genin exam, he had gotten quite a break from the torments of his alternate personality, who had fulfilled his side of the bargain. Now, he needed something to do, so he got out of bed and went out to make himself a cup of fruit juice. As he poured himself the cup, he saw another beige manila folder on his desk, so he finished pouring his juice and went over to look at it. Inside was a professional report on some kind of monster in the woods that there was some kind of monster in the swamp or jungle that needed to be killed, (or at least pacified) because it was killing both VIPs and even small ninja. Well, Matsuda was no small ninja. He would just have to take care of this. He read the report and gathered all the information necessary for the mission. He then got ready and headed out.

It was a cool day in the village of Amegakure, and the rain was light and sparse. The weather wasn’t bad, relative to the other days. He ran through the streets, hopped over the wall and entered the jungle. The jungle was a little warmer, as expected, but it didn’t matter. He had a mission to fulfill, and he would do it. When he arrived at the approximate “kill zone”, he stopped. If the beast was in the vicinity, it would most certainly have caught on to his scent. He was absolutely right, a killer hairless bunny bear beast came crashing through the underbrush. Well, shoot; that was no good. He sped off through the trees away from the beast, hoping that it wouldn’t accelerate any more. And indeed, it didn’t. He lured it to a large tree, where he drew vajra, spun around, and fired several vacuum bullets at his foe, crippling his eyes and irritating him to madness. The beast rampaged all over, destroying trees and foliage, and almost trampling Matsuda. However, he leapt out of the way in time, and the beast went crashing to the right. Heh, now was his chance. He leapt down, and used vacuum sword to slice through the beast’s torso, then he plunged vajra into its heart. The beat shuddered, then fell as Matsuda leapt out of the way. He cut out the heart, and returned it to the village for analysis. The scientists had a good look at it, and Matsuda returned home for the time being, satisfied that he had completed his mission. Hopefully, the rewards would come in thick and fast.
