Kenzo, on this day stepped out into the cold world. The chill in the air met only one thing. The coming on winter. Kenzo had no intentions of standing out in the cold on this day, but he could see the look in the eyes of the people. That cold, frozen expression that they held upon their faces. He had no time for then at the moment however. They could tell by the look on his face. His face was study. Winter had moved in on it, and, regardless of his preferences, it presides there. His eyes become a cliff of snow threatening to avalanche; his eyebrows bend like black limbs of leafless trees. His skin takes on the pale, cheerless yellow of winter sun; for a jaw he has the edges of a snowbound field, though not yet dotted with stubble; his high forehead is the frozen sweep of the Erie, hiding currents of gelid thoughts that eddy in darkness. Boar killer turned hawk fighter, he worked night and day to keep one from the door and the other from under the windowsills. Now hardwork would prove more difficult as he would be providing not only for those within his household, but the villagers who slept with the warmth of a flame as well. Today, as he stared at his sticky note, he knew that he would be providing the villagers with fire and heat. They would finally appreciate it all. The sticky note read: "The village needs you to go out into the forest and collect some lumber for the village, get a decent amount but do not destroy the villages surroundings!" What else was there for Kenzo to do other than follow orders? Those strong legs carried Kenzo to the forest, and, within a matter of moments, he was standing before a rather large tree. His hands shifted through the various forms of handseals necessary for his signature technique. In the blink of an eye a single long sharp red tendril extended from Kenzo's side to form a bladed edge that would meet swiftly with the bark of the tree, slicing cleanly through the bark of the tree before returning to Kenzo's side. Kenzo wasted no time on the task. He rushed, not because there were likely a great number of villagers that were freezing on this day, but because the quicker he finished, the faster he could return to the warmth of his own home. It was at that moment that a number of tendrils extended from Kenzo's back with great haste, rushing towards the maimed bark with every intention of ripping it to pieces. Each tendril reformed to create a bladed edge that was used to slice through the falling tree, reducing it to little more than logs that fell to the ground harmlessly. With a sigh, Kenzo released the handseal, which he had been holding for the duration if to technique, and began to pick up pieces of wood to carry to the homes of the villagers. Looks like he was going to have to make more than one trip from the village to the forest, and back.
