Kenzo followed behind Kyo silently, keeping a distance of about 3 meters between them as he did. Kenzo hadn't recognized this area at all. His daily habits consisted of traveling along the same dirt path to the same training ground to train in the same area that he always did. Perhaps it was good to mix things up a little bit. Kenzo listened as the green grass crunched beneath his own feet. He noted its length and color before he was sudenly pulled from his observations by Kyo's voice.

Kenzo's head snapped upward, dark eyes locking onto Kyo's figure. It toke a moment for the words to register in Kenzo's head. When they did he replied with a simple nod of his head before pulling a Kunai from his pocket, twirling it around his finger then tossing that Kunai to Plague with it's point skyward at a speed of 20.

"Catch..."

Kenzo said as the bladed weapon flew in Kyo's direction. Kenzo calmly retrieved a second Kunai from his pants, and twirled it around the index finger of his right hand. Whether Kyo caught the Kunai, or not, Kenzo would calmly invite him to make the first move.

"Your move."

Kyo was good and ready when the kunai came flying at him. He barely caught it, not by the blade, but by the handle. Although he was fast enough to catch the kunai, he knew that he wasn't able to throw kunai that fast. Such a thing was beyond him, huh. The kunai had been almost as a blur to Kyo, and that wasn't goo. He had been barely fast enough. He threw the kunai back at maximum speed of 10, and hoped that Kenzo wouldn't notice how inept he was. He threw the kunai, not straight for Kenzo's face, but more toward the other boy's left lung.

Kenzo watched as Kyo caught the Kunai before hurling it back at Kenzo. This gave Kenzo a good measure of Kyo's speed and power. Kenzo did not dodge, or block the Kunai. Kenzo began sprinting forward at a speed of 4o, snatching the Kunai out of the air by it's handle before placing the Kunai that was once in his right hand, in his mouth. Only after reaching arms distance from Kyo did Kenzo slow his speed to 15. When Kenzo's figure was no longer blur to Kyo, Kenzo could be seen with his left arm extended across his chest, and the Kunai held within his left hand in a reverse grip so that the point of the blade was facing Kyo's head. Kenzo then swung that arm through the air, attempting to stab Kyo in his left cheek.

This maneuver was a simple one in Kenzo's mind, and things would only get more complicated as the battle continued. At the moment, Kenzo was only testing the waters to see if he realy needed to bring the heat.

Kyo saw Kenzo for a moment, but then the boy was a blur, speeding towards him so quickly, he wouldn't be able to react... but then Kenzo slowed down. What... what was the other boy doing? Because Kenzo was so close, Kyo barely had time to react... he had to minimize the damage. He quickly turned his head, so that the kunai would only lightly scratch his cheek. It might leave a small scar later, but it was nothing to worry about, except for the pain. As he turned his head to the right to avoid the kunai stab, Kyo would also move to the other boy's left and move forward, slamming his own left fist into the boy's abdomen, or trying to, anyway. Failing this, Kyo would perform an action based on Kenzo's next move.

"Think..."

Kenzo commented as Kyo turned his head to the right. This was a mistake. Kenzo's momentum never ceased, even as Kyo turned his head, for his maneuver had already been anticipated. Kenzo continued to rotated his upper body as he next move was directly linked to the first by this simple turn. Kenzo lifted his own right leg from the earth as Kyo stepped to Kenzo's left, and channeled his momentum(Speed 15) into his rising right foot that would, consequentially, smash into the back, or the left side of Kyo's head. Had Kyo a way to sense or defend from the kick coming from his left while his head was turned to the right? Kyo's fist would've simply grazed against Kenzo abs as Kenzo's body rotated, allowing the fist to simply pass without doing any real harm to Kenzo.

The strength behind the kick was raised to 20 to add a little extra oomph, in the case that it actually did make contact.

"Think" was all Kyo heard before the foot came for him. It was reasonably fast, and once again, Kyo found himself unable to move to actually block the attack. Dodge, he had to dodge. This guy was massively fast. Also, Kyo's fist had merely grazed Kenzo. That was a bad thing, this kid was pretty damn strong. This merely served to affirm Kyo's thoughts that he himself was weaker even than other ninja in the village. This crushed a little more of his self-esteem, which wasn't very high in the first place. He moved slightly to his left, to try and avoid the incoming foot. He didn't have a very high reaction time, so Kenzo's foot would most likely graze his head, knocking him outward and away from Kenzo.
After being knocked away, he would stand up shakily. "Whoa....", he said with a little more carefreeness than before, "you're really strong." With this, he put on a small smile, and tried to hide his hesitance, surprise, and slight sadness with some humor. "Don't go murdering me now, I don't think I want to die quite yet." He knew now that Kenzo's reaction time was much, much higher than his own, and that this boy was not to be trifled with.

"I don't plan on it."

Kenzo stated truthfully, before slowly lowering his foot, and taking a step back to give Kyo some room to breath and think. Kenzo wiped the small amount of blood, if there was any, from his Kunai, onto his shirt before tucking the Kunai into his pocket, and zipping the pocket closed. With that, Kenzo's stance changed. He slid his left foot backwards until it was about 2 inches behind his right foot, and rotated his left foot so that his heels made a right angle. His right side was now facing Kyo, and he slowly lifted his hands until they both lingered in the air in front of his body just below his chin with his right arm extended slightly farther away from his chin than his left.

"Your turn again..."

Kenzo said before lifting his heels slightly off of the ground. It was ironic, he had allowed Kyo to attack first, yet Kenzo stood in what would appear to be an offensive position. Regardless of whether, or not his stance gave away his intentions, he continued to bounce slightly like the little boxer he was.

So, it was Kyo's turn again? Alright, Kyo recognized his adversary's stance as the Ichimonji stance from byakko-ryu taijutsu style... with the added twist that he was jumping up and down slightly. Hmm... that was that attack stance. This meant that if Kyo attacked now, Kenzo would counter with an attack. He was about 4 meters away from Kenzo, and faced his opponent. He would pick up a small stick from the ground and rushed forward. The stick would be in his right hand, so he would aim a punch with his left hand at Kenzo's solarplexus. Kyo knew the attack would not hit, and the Kenzo would somehow block or avoid, so Kyo planned accourdingly.

The attack would hit; however, it would not meet it's mark. Kenzo followed the movements of Kyo's body as he had decided to try something new, something that only one with great pain resistance could do. The moment Kyo neared Kenzo, Kenzo's hands would move to mimic the positions of Kyo's hands, and the moment Kyo's hand was brought forward, Kenzo's hand was also brought forward with a speed equal to Kyo's as Kenzo had already gotten a feel for what this kid could do. Kenzo's right fist would smash into Kyo's incoming left fist with a strength of 15, effectively blocking the incoming attack with an attack. The impast between the fists didn't hurt Kenzo one bit, but Kyo... how was Kyo doing? This would help Kenzo gauge how strong Kyo was physically, and how much he could take. It was obvious that Kenzo could take ALOT because he never flinched, not even after the collision between fists. If all went as planned, Kenzo would lift his left arm slightly above his head so that his forearm was extended horizontally in the air between Kenzo's head and the hand with the stick, then peek downward at Kyo's feet.

Kyo thought he was keeping up well... until Kenzo's fist came smashing into his own. The pain was enough to feel significant pain, but of course, it wouldn't rip tissue or smash bone. However, the pain did manifest in the form of a slight grunt and a grimace on Kyo's face... damn, that did hurt a little. As the pain flowed through his limb, Kyo would throw the stick over Kenzo's forearm between Kenzo's eyes and himself, obscuring the other's vision for an instant. In the instant, Kyo would shift the fist that had just collided with Kenzo's to the internal side of Kenzo's arm, and toward the boy's throat. What Kyo would do next solely depended on Kenzo's actions.
