This was the worst of the worst that he ever had to do, he thought as he walked to the marina where the fishermen were. He would spend part of his day helping these smelly people move their cargo from the ships and ports to later be taken and dispersed among the shops, restaraunts, and vendors. He should have wore a hazmat suit today instead of opting to stay in his normal dress attire. Making his way down to the final section of the pier where the last boat was docked, he figured this would be the best place to start.
This way as he finished unloading a boat he could move forward on to the next one helping each seamen get all of their load off the boats and on to the docks, where transport would be up to them. The men of the sea weren't really thrilled to have someone not of their crew helping them move their product. It was hard times and some people had stooped so low as to robbing other fishermen of their fish to sail as their own, so Sanada understood where the contempt came from. They seemed not to mind as much once they found out he was a village ninja and started handing him caskets of fish to bring ashore and place next to their boats.
The men didn't even talk among themselves much while he was down there and maybe it was because he wasn't one of them, or the fact that they have done this so long words didn't really need to be conveyed. Most of the conversation was short sentences and the like. Which he didn't mind at all it meant that he would get to get this job done and forget about it all together even if the smell would take a long time to kill.
As he worked his way from boat to boat he found himself have a sense of new found respect for these men and women who went out to sea to bring in a fresh catch everyday. They were after all a village on the seas where most of the food they ate come from there so if there weren't any fishermen this whole village would have died out a long time ago. So after awhile of helping the fishermen he began to tell them thank you for their work as he helped each on unload their catch that ranged from trout to eel to even some flounder and tuna. He couldn't wait to try all these fish after they had been prepared but for now he took solice in the fact that there were such dependable people looking after the village as well just in their own way. as as the day closed out sure he smelled like fish but he had learned a valuable lesson and those didn't come often.
