The Winding Path
Sun Feb 02, 2014 2:17 am
From within the forests, there echoes a single sound. The sound of fists striking trees. Gouki stands amidst the tall oaks, passing the time by honing his muscles through strain. Times have been slow lately, with little to do but to occupy himself with simple things. He had no real goal at the moment, having the things he needs readily on hand. Should he grow hungry, he can hunt for meat. Should he grow thirsty, he could drink from one of the many streams crisscrossing the landscape. He had no need for ryo from his point of view. Let others worry about fattening their purse with pointless pieces of metal. He had everything he needed right where he stood. With a contented sigh, Gouki stepped away from his montionless sparring partner as he wiped his brow. A few trickles of sweat beaded across his brow, leaving him with the pleasant sensation of warmth throughout his body. With a last motion, he shook himself out. Letting his muscles have a well deserved rest, Gouki returned to his modest campsite to sit upon a log in front of a long cold fire.
