Taking care of business -mission- Youka/Maku Empty Taking care of business -mission- Youka/Maku

Spoiler:

http://naruto-role-play-rpg.forumotion.com/t21000-find-me-those-desertersiwagakure

Now that Youka had knocked out the lower ranking missions it was time for him to actually get into the nitty gritty of Iwa. He had gotten a mission to track down some low level shinobi that after being brought in to the fold had used that trust to steal documents. This was going to turn into a very happy day for him, nothing on the document said no killing the stupid ninja that had done this. So on top of getting to track someone down he would also get to murder them as well which was a plus for him. Murdering was his specialty after all. He just had to figure out where the man had headed luckily for him the reports also said that he had headed towards the mountain area which meant he would be able to kill him with out incident to the civilians in the area.

As he was making his way towards the mountains that were just outside the village he remembered how it was like to just be free in the world and not have a care. It was borderline like that now but he had to still sometimes report to Echo which he didn't mind that much. It was just the idea of reporting to someone that made him slightly wonder if he was becoming to domesticated. He would leave that up for another day though and maybe talk to Echo about becoming part of a special group or something that he could lead outside the village to further his own goals along with helping Iwa out. Now as he was reaching the mountain area he had to also formulate a plan of attack, he could just run in and kill the man but what if he was running to where his reinforcements were, Youka didn't want to be out numbered..well he could be outnumbered he just didn't want to be out powered.

Letting his chakra senses flow freely around him in a 50 meter range he still couldn't pick up any chakra readings in the general area. The person he was tracking could be hiding their presence as well though as Maku had shown he was capable of doing, which would make this problematic for him unless the ninja wanted to be found or showed himself to Youka. That latter not really having a high chance of happening so he would have to hope the ninja wasn't that smart. There were so many places someone could jump out from that he had to always be on his toes to ensure that no one was following him. He could always just tear the mountain down and collapse everything around him but for the sake of needing to type 3000 words he would have to find another way he erased the thought from his head. The ridges around the mountain as h made his way up were getting sharper as they went and he found the pathways becoming more narrow as if to say turn back or you'll die.

Making his way around a bend he noticed that there were rocks stationed around the ledges higher up. they looked to be of decent size, they could crush him if they came down. They however also looked pretty sturdy so he didn't pay them much more attention as it looked like it would take a large amount of force to dislodge them from their points. As he walked just a bit further there was a crack and as he looked up those same rocks were barreling down on his location. :Well I'll be damned" he say as he began to try to out run the tumbling rocks. They were gaining on his location fast with a few smaller pebbles hitting him along the way but not doing enough to slow or halt his movement. The larger ones however would do a great deal of halting of his movements if allowed to hit. Just the act of them moving was causing the mountain side to rumble and cause a miniature landslide. Luckily for Youka his speed was faster than the falling rocks but not by much and he made it to safety without much harm. "Hmm so I'm pretty sure those were fine a moment ago" Youka shrugged it off it could have just been a coincidence.

Taking care of business -mission- Youka/Maku Empty Re: Taking care of business -mission- Youka/Maku

Thu Feb 06, 2014 5:02 pm
Maku had finished up all the petty missions and it was time to perform the difficult ones. He had taken up a paper from the stack he’d been caring around since he first went to Echo’s office. Apparently the order of the day was to track down some scrub of a ninja. Some fool had become a ninja just to steal financial information on Iwagakure. The sad thing was he couldn’t have gotten much out of it considering, Iwagakure was in a state of financial destitute. All the same the mission paid well so it was worth the attempt in tracking him down and bringing him back. Maku had exited the villages, as the last known whereabouts of the man was that he was heading towards the mountains. Walking out of the village, Maku took up a bit of a jog. He wasn’t really in a rush, and with his chakra senses he figured he would have no problems finding the man once he actually reached the mountains anyway. On his way out he read over the rest of the report on the man he was supposed to capture. He was just a simple ninja, no rank or abilities given, or any other information for that matter, O well might as well wing it as always he thought to himself.

Arriving at the mountains, Maku noted how picturesque it was. The sky was blue and the sun was warm. Maku thought that he would have to get rid of this guy quick, then maybe he could spend some time lounging in the sun. Alas, that wasn’t what the order of the day at the moment was, so he started traveling to find the individual he was looking for. Maku hadn’t activated his chakra senses just yet, it would be more fun to simply just look around with his eyes first. Speeding around the range at full speed he checked in and out of caves, dipping and diving all over. It was fulfilling enough to simply run for a while. It was at one of these points that he thought he spied someone diving into a cave. Deciding it was time to cheat, he threw out his chakra senses to the full distance of 100 meters. There were indeed two sources. One was down the mountain, and it was a rather larg and familiar somehow source. The other one was to the east, presumably in a cave, and it was mediocre if Maku was being kind.

Deciding to start with the large source, he would check it out and see who it was. Just as he thought this his foot slipped and caused an itty bitty stone to start rolling down the mountain. Which picked up a larger rock, and a larger…..and a larger. Soon there was a rather large rockslide occurring, and the larg chakra source was speeding away from it. Making a regretful face, Maku hoped it wasn’t someone he knew. Speeding down, Maku used the rocks to slide down the mountain, making a pseudo surfing situation. Overall it was fun, and Maku almost was about to jump to the top of the mountain and do it again, before he realized he was on a mission. Throwing out his chakra senses one more time, he saw the source and body flickered to it. Surprisingly his friend Youka stood alight a little out of breath and looking perplexed at the location where the rocks had just slid from. “Sorry about that, lost my footing up top.” Maku explained briefly. He could only assume Youka was on the same mission as him, as they were both currently contracted as mercenaries for Iwagakure.

“I believe I sensed a chakra signature going into a cave in the east. We could probably get there pretty quick, and with both of us working we can get this over with in no time.” Maku explained. Maybe he would be able to lounge in the sun today after all. Moving towards the cave, Maku trusted that Youka would be right behind him, the man was very reliable to act as the perfect teammate whether they spoke to each other or not. “O by the way I am thinking about taking up the nickname the Battling Bard, what do you think? O and nice dance with them golem things you have to show me how they work after we catch this dirt bag.”

Taking care of business -mission- Youka/Maku Empty Re: Taking care of business -mission- Youka/Maku

Sat Feb 08, 2014 6:52 pm
Youka was too busy focusing on not dying to realize that Maku had been closing in, turning around to kill whoever was coming his way raising his hands he prepared to skewer whoever it was on his threads. Luckily he had looked as well and held back before attacking the young boy. "Well thanks for almost killing me there buddy" he would say in a sarcastic voice still smiling towards the younger male. :I'm guessing you're out here for the same reason I am them if you're tracking chakra signatures" Youka breathed a sigh of relief. He was glad it was Maku and not the one he was tracking, it would have been embarrassing to be taken out so quickly.

Maku had apparently also been tracking them and doing a better job than Youka was of actually looking for the missing ninja. Youka was just enjoying being out in the wilderness again, he was hardly looking for the man or woman that had gotten away right now. He was going to enjoy his time out in the open for awhile then of course he would go back to work and find the person and effectively take them out and bring whatever they stole back. Maku seemed more ready to get the mission over with so he could go to making more money on other missions, which is what Youka should have been doing but honestly it was just too much fun being away and on the loose.

"Hmm to the east you say, seems like your tracking skills are a lot better than mine right now, good job friend to the east then" he would say. Passing around the corner of the mountain he would pat Maku on the back as a good job type of thing before starting to run again to close in on the rouge. "So buddy what have you been doing since we set up shop in Iwa, I haven't gotten to see much of you and I would like to know what has been on your mind as well" Turning to look at Maku who was hopefully still close enough to hear him. This was awesome to be out again he didn't want this to end even though it was bound to be over as soon as they made their way where this ninja was hiding which was sad because now they would be stuck going back into the village.

"The battling bard huh, so you're really trying to make that stick aren't you, sigh, just don't drag me into it as well" he would say to the boy in a slightly worried tone. He couldn't let people see him and start laughing but he also wouldn't ruin the fun for the child so he would let it happen and just go with the flow. Gosh he hoped Maku didn't break out in song again, that was a one time thing but it looked more and more like the young lad was going to try for it even harder if he knew someone was against him doing it. Maku had said he saw the act that he had put on which slightly unnerved Youka, only the village people were supposed to see that. Oh well it was going to be the last time he was going to do what he had done it was to make the people happy but he had given a piece of himself up for that purpose, he wouldn't do it again. "Ugh well I'm glad you liked the show, maybe next time we spar I can show you how my golems work up close and personal" He would say jokingly towards the young male

Taking care of business -mission- Youka/Maku Empty Re: Taking care of business -mission- Youka/Maku

Sun Feb 09, 2014 12:32 am

Maku listened closely to what his friend had to saw.  He had apparently been enjoying the mountain scenery.  Of course Maku had to, but he was more interested in getting the mission over with first.  Call it philosophical differences he supposed.  “Well mostly just finishing up these missions.  I rented a flat in the middle of town, I usually am more of a wilderness kind of person, but when in Iwagakure do as the Iwagakure’s do.”  He let out a slight laugh at his own wit.  It didn’t seem that Youka liked that he had been caught singing.  O well, Maku didn’t have any problem taking them name just for himself.  After all a man should have a say in what he is called.  They began walking towards the East in search for the chakra signature that Maku had been tracking.  He was pleased with the priest’s compliments.  He knew he was much younger than the priest even if they man didn’t know it yet, so any compliments that made them equal was a nice thing.  They both began running towards the cave that Maku had seen before almost killing his closest friend.  He still felt a bit guilty for that, but if there was one thing that Maku knew, it was Youka could more than handle his own, so he shouldn’t worry too much about the man.

Maku also relied; he shouldn’t bring up Youka’s performance anymore.  The man seemed a bit shy about the performing arts.  They both were using their speed to close in on the cave.  Surely the two of them working together would make quick work of any rogue ninja that was lowly enough to settle for stealing some financial documents.  Arriving at the cave, they both looked into the cave to see what they could find.  Inside they saw a small fire, and sure enough several piles of financial documents.  It was sad but even them piled on the floor seemed to be better in order than when Maku had to do the filing back in the village.  Walking inside, both on their guard, no one could be seen or found inside the cave.  The cave was moist, with water dripping from the ceiling and some early formations of stalactites.  Continuing to move cautiously, they made their way deeper and deeper into the cave, though there still seemed to be nobody home.  Closing his eyes, Maku sent out his senses, but no one was within a 100 meters.  Resigned to wait, they both took up defensive positions.  Waiting and watching would appear to be the order of the day at least for now.

While they waited, Maku rummaged through some of the financial reports, looking through what the ninja stole.  It really didn’t seem like valuable information.  Just more reports how the previous leader liked to spend too much and not put anything back into the village coffers.  Was this ninja going to sell them to another village?  Apparently though this man was just a new missing ninja, freshly made.  His goal to sell these papers to the black market, a quote even proved it.  If so he would probably be murdered there just for selling ridiculous information.  After a while longer someone did enter the cave.  He was a taller man, but one with an obviously weak countenance.  From the weak cheek bones to the water eyes.  Even his hands were shaking a bit like he was perpetually frightened.  Wouldn’t be much of a challenge.  Waiting he wanted indisputable proof that he was the man they were looking for.  Once the ninja sat down, and began putting the papers down, that was good enough.  He clearly wasn’t looking for the papers, but knew they were there and was getting ready to take them away.  “Youka, let’s just make this fast.  I will genjutsu him, and then you can slay him and get these papers back.  He is clearly the traitor; let’s just make it quick and easy.”  He would say all of this over the curse mark telepathically.  Pulling out his instrument he began to play a tune.  The man would immediately freeze, like he was unconscious.  What couldn’t be seen was that the man would be expierencing immense pain as if he was being slammed in a metal spiked coffin.  He hoped Youka would kill the man quickly and get this over with.  Then he would follow his friends lead, grab the papers and take them back to Iwagakure.  He wasn’t sure about Youka, but then there would only be one more mission for them to complete.

Taking care of business -mission- Youka/Maku Empty Re: Taking care of business -mission- Youka/Maku

Maku made an attempt to make a joke as they headed closer to the signature that Maku was tracking, Youka couldn't help but laugh at it. He laughed mainly for the fact the Maku had actually said that out loud, he at least spoke his mind and that was perfect. Youka also remembered that he would have to actually sit down with Maku eventually and talk about who the boy really was at the core. They never had a heart to heart except for when they first met and even that wasn't very deep. If he was going to be with this man for a long time he would have to know what this boys desires and goals were, he put it into the back of his mind for a later time while continuing on.

The cave that they walked into was of a medium size just enough for a few people to hide out it. The smell on the other hand was overly disgusting with the smell of mold and moisture wafting in the air. You could tell that it hadn't been used or even visited in a very long time as nothing had been done to keep it from deteriorating. As they went further in Youka could see that the cave indeed did go deeper back which alluded to maybe even hidden chambers inside it. If Maku had done the same mission to clean up the papers in the Kages office he would let out a sigh as well when he saw the stacks of papers strewn about. Still no sign of the ninja though maybe it would be better to just hide and wait for him to come back he obviously would be back if a fire was still going and papers still here.

Youka let his friend go through all the papers on the desk he was better for that than Youka. Youka hated tedious work like that it made him feel so useless as if he didn't have a purpose in this world. Maku didn't seem happy with what he found in the papers, almost as if he was calling the ninja that had done this dumb in his head for taking such trivial papers and trying to sell them off. As they waited for a bit longer there was a chakra signature that began to get closer and closer before the figure it belonged to was in sight. The man that they saw was nothing to write home about, he was a bland expressionless male that looked like he hadn't slept in days as he held out here waiting to sell the papers.

As the ninja took care of a few things Maku began to speak to Youka through their curse mark telling him the plan he had made. Youka decided to go along with it as it was more than likely the best course of action for this situation."Very well, when you're ready we will begin on your mark" with that said Maku began playing his song. Just in case as a precaution Youka had threaded his ear shut to block out the music to ensure the jutsu didn't hit him as well. As the man was trapped in the genjutsu it looked like he was convulsing slightly and in visible pain. "I gues I'll be the one to end his existense" With that youka quickly snapped the mans neck letting his lifeless body go limp as it crashed to the ground below.

Youka picked up the papers the man was studying before he died, with these they would be able to return to Iwa and give them to Echo and take their cash payout. "Come on Kani, lets get out of here and head back, I want to get our last mission out of the way so we can see what else this leader has for us". He would head for the cave exit and want to get back to Iwa as quickly as he could "Lets go!"
