Keisuke was the boy’s name… Huh. He hadn’t heard that name before, not even in the files of Tengakure’s ninja records. He must have been relatively new to being a ninja, that, or he just wasn’t one at all… He doubted this, as the boy had at least a basic grasp of fighting, it seemed. He wondered if, by chance, this kid was being promoted to genin soon? If he was put on Haru’s squad… things could get awkward. Attempting to kill someone isn’t the best way to introduce yourself to them
Haru watched as Keisuke jumped away from his drop kick, successfully avoiding the strike… before jumping directly back at him? It seemed a bit self defeating to dodge then come back at him. To make matters worse for him, Kei chose to make a downward slashing attack as he jumped towards Haru, who was still moving through the air. This meant that while Kei’s arms were up, his guard was completely open to Haru’s kick. On top of all of that, Kei had jumped at Haru, so that he had no normal means of changing direction until he landed. At least there wasn’t much power being put into the attack, because Haru’s drop kick would most likely land, smashing into Keisuke’s chest and knocking him back before the boy could bring down the bone sword at his chest. As they connected, Haru would “Push off” the boy midair, twisting backwards and bringing his feet over his head, executing a backflip to get him back on his feet while Kei fell to the ground.

He knew it.. he knew something would happen. He knew it, knew it, knew it! Hm, maybe he had psychic powers? Nah, he majorly doubted something like that. Seems like it would be better if he just attempted counters instead of frontal strikes. That didn't seem to be his forte.. meh. Before Haru could strike him, Keisuke released his weapon and performed hand signs. Once Haru's attack had hit him, he was replaced with the branch he had broken off from before. He could now be seen around 2 meters away from his opponent, heading towards the ground. The red-eyed child landed safely onto the surface and eyed Haru. He looked at his weapon that now appeared to be broken... great. And he was almost positive that Haru wouldn't take kindly to the little stunt he had just pulled. The guy would pretty much be hitting the thing he was getting revenge for.
Actually, that was a bit funny to Keisuke. 'Funny indeed.. hehuehehuehue,' he thought with a creepy smile on his face. It appeared as if his body was twitching, though the kid was actually laughing at the situation. The smile on his face seemed to grow larger each second until it seemed like it was going to split his face in half. The "twitching" started to become more frequent, appearing as if they were spasms. However, the kid was still aware of Haru's presence and was prepared for any kind of attack.

Just as Haru pushed off of Keisuke, as his head spun backwards, he would notice there was a cloud of smoke, and a branch in Keisuke’s place… Did Keisuke just make him kick the branch of the tree that had started this in the first place? Now he was mad. As he landed on his feet, his fighting stance already up, he would notice that the spine that the kid was wielding had broken, such was the unfortunate weakness of Shikotsumyaku. Additionally, the kid was sort of standing there, laughing maniacally… weird. Was he taking pleasure in the irony of it? Oh, NOW Haru was pissed!
”You’ve got a jacked up sense of humor, kid, and it’s beginning to piss me off.” He would say, readying his attack.
Haru’s hands would glow blue yet again as he reformed the chakra scalpels, dashing at the boy and using the afterimage technique to make it appear as if he was trying to tackle Keisuke. The real Haru would then stop, hoping Kei would react to the fake Haru and leave his guard open, which is what logically would happen. The real Haru would then appear, the fake dissipating, as he swiped his left scalpel at the boy’s shoulder, aiming to cut clean from his left to right shoulder, across his chest, missing his heart by a few inches. What a lucky break it would be for him that Haru hadn’t aimed lower, if the attack hit.

Keisuke only continued to chuckle once Haru had stated he had "a jacked up sense of humor." Honestly, he didn't know anyone else who would think that wasn't funny! Then again.. some people did consider him to be messed up in the head. That must have meant they didn't view the things he thought funny as... funny.. huh. His laughing stopped the moment he saw blue forming around Haru's hands again. Jeez, when was he going to stop using those things? The boy looked around the area for something to throw.. yet found nothing. Great. He prepared himself as Haru charged forward and frowned. There was something wrong.. it looked like the guy was ready to tackle him. Why would he do that when he could simply attempt to stab Kei with one of the scalpels?
The boy simply jumped over 'Haru', landing a meter behind his opponent. That was, until, he saw the guy fading. Were people supposed to fade? He was sure that they weren't... something was definitely messed up. Luckily, the boy heard the sound of footsteps coming towards him. Using his awesome, super duper boss/beast reflexes, he spun around, leaned back, and ducked once Haru's slash came towards him. Sadly, he got a small cut on his forehead from the strike which caused blood to drip down to his eyebrow. Kei frowned as he aimed a punch for his opponents stomach. This.. was turning out to be a bit more troublesome than expected...

Haru would smirk as the boy fell for his illusion… unfortunately, using his superhuman hearing or whatever he just said he had, he managed to narrowly dodge Haru’s scalpel swipe… Unfortunately for him, he couldn’t dodge quite far enough, and a small cut crossed his forehead…
First blood he thought. This fight felt as if it was coming to a close, getting near the end with every move. Or maybe this was just Haru’s instinct to just bash the kid’s face in already. He honestly wasn’t mad about the tree anymore, that wave of senju ness had passed, but for now, he was enjoying this fight, so he was trying to draw it out as long as he could. The boy would target a punch to Haru’s stomach, frowning from what Haru could only assume was concentration, or frustration, which in turn caused Haru to grin at his opponent’s discomfort. Haru’s right hand would slap aside Keisuke’s punch, redirecting the motion away from himself, before bringing his left hand back, scalpel still active, attempting to rake it across the boy’s chest, from his right shoulder to his left, the opposite path of motion from what he had tried previously. If this strike connected, Keisuke would still not experience a lethal wound, and Haru could heal it relatively easily with the mystical palm technique, but at this point, he was simply weighing the kid’s skill.

Now what was this guy smiling for? Wasn't supposed to be angry for that tree or whatever? Meh, it wasn't like Kei really cared much. The kid racked his brain for ways to get away from Haru and gain some distance. However, it seemed that his punch was redirected which caused him to head in a different direction. 'Dammit' he thought as he grit his teeth. This guy.. was actually better than he thought. Keisuke forced himself to a stop and attempted to lean back, away from Haru's slash. That didn't seem to help at all though, since he still get slashed across his chest. Keisuke winced from the pain as he continued to grit his teeth. The boy let himself land onto his bottom before leaping back to his feet. He took a few steps away from his opponent, making the distance between them a meter.
"Okay, now things are getting serious," he mumbled as he settled into a stance. He didn't know the guy was trying to kill him at first.. but now he finally did. Now the kid really had to stay in his toes. Kei winced once more, feeling his cut starting to sting a bit. He attempted to ignore it though and kept his eyes on Haru. He didn't want to miss the guy's next move after all.

Haru watched the boy grit his teeth in what he figured was frustration, which was understandable, now that he was pressing his advantage, the kid didn’t have much at his disposal to fight back with. This confirmed to Haru that he was most likely an academy student, as most genin would have some trump card jutsu at their disposal, a chunin would have multiple, and anything above that would have multiple styles of said trump cards. Haru could understand the boy’s frustration all the better as he felt the scalpel cut across the boy’s chest, being sure to pull it back a bit as it raked across Keisuke’s chest, making sure the cut was not too deep. It seemed Keisuke tried dodging with the same manner he just used, which, come to think of it, hadn’t worked very well last time. As Keisuke fell straight back, Haru wondered if maybe this was getting a little out of hand. Well, the cuts weren’t too bad so far, and nothing was life-threatening, for sure. He figured he had some time to screw around before he had to take care of the kid…
”Come on, kid, where’s the maniacal laughter?” He would ask, taking a few steps to close the distance between them. The scalpel on his right hand would be aimed with a thrusting motion at the boy’s left shoulder, carefully aimed away from vital arteries, of course. He had taken a lot of care not to butcher this kid, and he wasn’t gonna start now. At the same time as he made his lunge with the right chakra scalpel, his left one would target the boy’s other shoulder, mirroring the strike he had made with his right, also carefully avoiding arteries and such. This kid was, if nothing else, a trooper, as he continued to fight even after getting multiple cuts, not even once trying to make Haru stop, or turn and run.

".. Are you trying to taunt me?" he questioned his opponent. It wasn't as if taunting actually provoked him or anything, but he was curious. In fact he was the kind of person who would taunt his enemy. Only if he was dominating the fight, that is. 'Might as well give him what he wants' he thought. A grin slowly started to form onto his face as Haru began coming towards him. Yup, this was Kei's definition of "taking things seriously". He was certainly a messed up kid. Before the strikes came towards him, Keisuke leaped 3 meters above Haru's head. While he was in midair, he performed a small flip so it appeared he was upside down. The boy then hastily performed a few hand signs. Immediately afterwards, 5 stones had erupted from his mouth and made their way towards Haru.
Two of the stones were aimed for Haru's legs, another 2 aimed for his arms, and the last one was going for his head. Keisuke would then safely land onto the ground a whole 4 meters away from Haru. He wiped the blood from his forehead that was slowly making its way towards his eye. His cuts still hurt - more like burned since that's what it felt like - but he could bare the pain. Something like that couldn't take him down anyway.

Haru watched the boy’s face slowly split into a grin.
”That’s the spirit, kid.” He would say, just as Kie began his jump. That kid could jump pretty high for someone built as he was… Then he noticed the kid was making hand signs as he flipped through the air, and curiosity made Haru wait to see what the boy had planned… As Kei shot the stones, they appeared to move in slow motion, and Haru could not resist doing what he was about to do.
First, he would use his sharingan to copy the jutsu that was used against him. As the stones flew towards him, Haru would use his full speed to make the hand signs for it, before activating his chakra scalpels. In a true display of showing off, he would use the scalpels to cut the rocks before they could even reach him, before shooting ten stones in the same manner Keisuke did (After the boy landed, of course.), aiming all of them at the boy’s feet. Dodging them would make Keisuke look like a dancing fool, while not dodging them would make him look like an even bigger fool. Haru felt this jutsu was, while a cool party trick, not all that useful in truth. However, it did show Haru just how convenient the sharingan really was for situations like this.
Once Haru finished shooting the stones, he would point at Keisuke sarcastically with the chakra scalpels, before dashing towards him, moving at the boy’s speed once again, aiming his right chakra scalpel for the same target he had chosen before with his right scalpel (Which was keisuke’s left shoulder) while his left scalpel would be held over Haru’s head initially, before coming down in a slashing motion to kep Keisuke from simply jumping over him again.

Keisuke's eye slightly twitched once he saw Haru simply slash through his stones. If he didn't have those damn scalpels this fight could have been a bit easier. The boy was really being pushed to him limit. It seemed that every idea he came up with, his enemy had an even better one. He wouldn't say it was frustrating simply.. a bit annoying. Though, he was at least getting a chance to practice his skills. Kei's eyes widened by a fraction when Haru had shot ten stones of his own at him. ... Did this guy already know the jutsu he used? Well, that sucked. But, he knew now that a jutsu like this should be used more for strategies.. not as a straight out attack. The red-eyed kid began dodging the rocks being shot at his feet, moving back a bit each time he did. He didn't feel embarrassed from something like this, he was too focused on trying to prevent his feet from getting hurt as well.
Kei narrowed his eyes at Haru once he saw him direct one of the scalpels at him. Just what was the point of that? If he was trying to look all "badass" or something, he was failing at the act. He crouched down once he saw Haru running towards him again. "Just when are you going to stop?" he mumbled. Keisuke ducked under the attempted strike towards his chest again, he had enough pain in the area already. He then rolled over to the right to evade Haru's downward slash. Kei was happy his adversary only had two hands.. any more and he would've been screwed. The boy continued to roll until he was behind Haru, and then prepared his attack. He performed a sweeping kick aimed for Haru's ankles, hoping this would trip him and make him fall backwards.
Of course, if this worked then he would be falling towards Keisuke. The boy was prepared for this though. He would have used this opportunity to elbow Haru's back, which should have sent him at least a foot away.. he hoped. If his attacked hit - he was pretty confident it wouldn't - then the boy would have leaped several feet away from his opponent and settle into another stance.
