The Ramen Ingredient's Challenges

Menma set his way out to one out of the many training grounds spread across the vast Village Hidden in Leaves. He arrived at the fourth training grounds, finding that there weren't many people there, at least he hoped. He started off with a few simple exercises, and then he stretched his arms, checked his ninja tool pouch, and sat there, quietly.

He wasn't sure what to do here today, he was hoping to find a training partner, perhaps to spar, most likely. It was mainly due to the fact that training alone was just now, after months of doing this, was becoming boring. He sighed in exhaustion after he threw many Shurikens toward one of the five training logs in the center of the training grounds. He never realized it, but this place was beautiful. Cherry blossom trees dotted here and there.

The ground was filled with lush, medium sized grasses that tickled your face, with an opening of sandy like dirt in the center, with the five training logs that managed to still stand after being so overused by the ambitious shinobi of the Hidden Leaf. Menma huffed, pulling out the Shurikens and then plopping down on the dirt, observing the trees in the background. A sidewalk was nearby, and there was a gate leading into the part of town ment for economic expenses.

"Wow.....My village is beautiful." Menma muttered, and fell asleep, awaiting for someone to perhaps meet in a sparring match or two.

Jason went to the training grounds to train. train, like he always do. what he didn't think about, was that there was someone there. sleeping. Jason sighed, as he saw that person taking a nap. what a lazy person. Jason opened the gates and entered the training grounds, consisting of cherry blossom trees, and close the gates behind him. Jason walked up to the person and smacked them upside the head. "hey! wake up!" Jason shouted to the person. he hoped that they wouldn't be a nuisance. and a lazy bum.

The blow didn't hurt, much. But, it stunned him enough to come to. Menma scrambled to his feet and glared at the male with a somewhat chaotic intent in his eyes. "I was takin a nap, But, I'm glad somebody is here after awhile. So...."Menma back flipped quickly, skidding across the ground, ripping his ninja tool pouch open and flinging it upward just a small bit, as it spun in the air he gripped the handle roughly and then held it outwards in front of him.

"I challenge you to a d-d-d--d-d-duel!" Menma's face was a dramatic grin, and he had spread his legs out just a little more, arching his left arm as he held his kunai with his right hand, which was arched and in front of him. The child was full of energy, despite he woke up just moments ago. He shot off the ground at a somewhat basic speed, at least that of half a deers, still it was more than expected from an average Genin.

Menma shot upwards, flinging down the kunai and then pulling out five Shurikens, each one in between one of his fingers, and the last in his mouth, but not literally, or else he'd suffer more than just some stabs. Due to laziness, Menma didn't feel it was necessary to use any techniques, even if he knew this guy had speed two times his own.

"I'll beat you to the pulp!" Suddenly his energy faded, and he plopped back onto the ground, on his feet. Wise attacks win the battle. Menma's inner, more strategic, probably smarter, self said. Menma's face suddenly became analytical, he observed Yason's every inch of his figure, even his stance might've displayed his skill. Menma put away the five Shurikens he was holding, and then closed his eyes and smiled lightly.

"Let's fight."

"whoa, whoa. wait. aren't we gonna introduce ourselves first? the name is Yason. Yason Uzumaki." Jason took a stance and analyzed menma's stance. from a little analyzing, Yason could see that this person would be a bit trouble. Jason jumped back 5 meters and channeled two chakra chains at 20 meters length and 2 inches wide. the chains had hooks at the end of the chains and at the links of the chains that stopped 10 centimeters away from Yason's hands. Yason swung the chains with the chakra speed of 50 in a downward strike. should the chains hit, then the person would sustain minor if not heavy damage. should the chains miss, then Jason would pull the chains back and twirl them around in a defensive maneuver.

Menma attempted to avoid the said attack, however, it was too fast for him. The kunai he had earlier threw toward the man had would've definitely missed from his sudden change of position, however the chains being dispersed might've had a chance of being broken, unless they were too powerful, which was highly likely. Menma brought out Heaven's Sorrow, a black bladed ninjato, and attempting to slice at the chakra chains.

If the kunai broke the chains in half, he'd dash forth and attempt to get an attack at Yason. If the ninjato had slashed the chains, he keep wildly slashing at them in an attempt to reduce them down to size. If neither of these tactics worked, Menma would've sustained intense power from the chakra chains.

the chains that Yason had swung before, deflected a kunai that was coming at him from above. Yason saw that the person swung the sword in an attempt to strike him at his left side of the body. Yason channeled a chakra chain at just the right moment and the ninjato deflected off the chains. meanwhile, while that happened, Yason swung the chains at the persons legs, if they would hit, then the chains would curl around the persons legs and cut into the persons legs, damaging them. Yason would then reel them in to deliver a left hook after he made the chakra chain in his left hand disappear.

Because the kunai's health and sharpness exceeded the chains, the chains thus broke, and then Menma shot forth at a high speed, wildly slashing toward Yason with the intent to damage him at close combat. Menma's ninjato was equal to that of the strength of a Wakizashi, which made it likely to slash the chakra chains. Yason's guess about him was right, he was dangerous.

If the blade managed to slash through the chakra chains and slash Yason, he'd likely sustain medium amounts of damage, perhaps bleeding depending on if it grazed him or not.

Yason being faster than the person, dodged the swing to the right, after making the chains disappear and grabbed the person in a chokehold with Yason's left arm. 5 seals suddenly appeared above Yason's fingertips. "say good night. Gogyo Fuuin!". Yason stabbed the persons stomach with the right hand and knocked him out instantly due to the person's health being 16, and his chakra ended up being sealed because his chakra stats were at 20.

Saw that Yason's speed was too much for him, Mainly because Menma's slash begun starting at the right, then progressed to the left, diagonally upwards. Thus, he had just been slashed across the chest, sustaining massive amounts of damage, Menma had been hit anyways by the Gogyou Fuuin, having been still trapped by the chakra chains.

Thus, Menma was about to collapse to the ground, unconscious with his chakra sealed, but even so, the chains were still binding him. (856 WC, 4 SP, 8 JP)

Yason sustained quite an injury. he had a slash mark across his chest that bled. "i don't have much time. i should take us both to the hospital ASAP!" Yason picked up the unconscious person and ran off towards the hospital. he just hopes that they make it there before Yason passes out. while he was running, Yason made the chakra chains disappear from the unconscious person's body.
