Save the seals.,.... To kill them (mission)

Mission details:

Maku had recieved contact from the shady guy by the trees.  WHoever this guy was, he always had a mission for MN to perform that was outside the norm.  Sure some of the missions could be done by village ninja, but then questions might be asked, and these kind of affairs were always better when kept on the hush hush.  Reading the details, their mission was to locate a crate of baby seals that had been stolen enroute to Iwagakure from Shimagakure.  Seemed easy enough, the intresting part was, whoever was paying there salary wanted them to massacre everyone who was in on it.  Well Youka would enjoy that.  Maku sent word to Kira and Youka to meet him outside the village, so they could start on this mission.  It wasn’t to hot out today, and a gentle wind was blowing.  Perhaps they should let Kira lead this mission, as both Youka and Maku had had their opportunity to take the lead in a mission.  He would have to discuss this with them when they arrived.

As a team they were starting to find their grove.  Having completed two missions now, it was time to add another to their resume.  Maku had a seat in the sun and waited for his friends.  Suddenly a thought crossed his mind, I wonder what seal tastes like, no no they had to bring them back alive.  But still.......

Kira was excited. This was mission three with her team, the same team youka had told her about so long ago, and not only had they not died, they succeeded every time so far. She was feeling stronger and stronger every day, part due to having people she could trust to watch her back and part due to the intense training she'd been undertaking, but either way she knew it wouldn't be too much longer at this rate before she no longer held them back. She jetted out towards the edge of town, calling upon her chakra senses to find her friends, and holding down the heavy bag at her side to keep it from boucing back and forth against her leg as she ran. When she got outside of Iwa, she saw both maku, and the strange glow of his chakra, and beelined for him. 

     "Maku!!!!"

For once it was a mission that Youka hadn't gotten from the creepy guy in the tree's that seemed to always find them no matter where they were. He was enjoying these little side adventures as it let them make a quick buck on the side of whatever Echo gave them as well. Youka wondered what it would be today though that they would have to do, these missions were getting a little out there more and more as they completed them. Youka wasn't complaining he was just wondering if this time he would have to punch a baby seal in the face.

Well he would find out sooner or later as he approached the two of his partners who seemed to be waiting on him. It was awkward being the last one to the party and now he knew how it felt when Kira was the last one, although he doubted she really cared that it took her forever to get anywhere. "Hey guys, what's on the menu to complete today, hoepfully something fun cause i'm bored" he would say reaching both of them.

He would stand at the ready to see what Maku would say, he was after all the one that called this group meeting to complete this mission so he would take shotgun and follow his friends orders into battle, even if it meant not killing anyone this time. Just the thought of not killing anyone made his day get darker because all he wanted to do was kill someone... or something.

As both his teamates arrived Maku let them know the details. "Basically, a shipment of seals was stolen. They are located somewhere in the Iwa borders, and it's our duty to find them and bring them to the benefactor. Only specifics are, return as many living seals as possible, and massacre anyone involved in the thievery, so I am sure you will enjoy that Youka. Kira, you have taken third spot on the missions so far, so you will take the lead. Tell us what you want us to do and we will do it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask us." Maku would step back and stand next to Youka, and look at Kira. He would wait for her to speak and hopefully take charge of this mission.

Stretching out, Maku could feel his back cracking and popping. He was feeling sore from all these missions, all that time of inactivity was taking its toll. It was a good thing they have had an influx of missions. Speaking to Youka telepathically "You think she can handle this, but she's gotta learn sometime right?" Maku wasnt sure if she was ready for this, but trial by fire was always a good one.

"seals, check. Kill bad people, i can do that, check. Lead the mission and be in charge of waaaaiiiittttttt WHAT?!" She went from running through the objectives intently to the most ridiculous, almost comically confused look possible. Why would they think she should lead? what the hell would she do, she didn't even know where they were going, and killing wasn't exactly her strategy, plus she was the weakest of the group so why would he have her take charge? She though all of this in an instant before realizing as the words went into her head they were also subconsciously being spoken aloud for the others to hear. 

    "I um....I mean.....Yea lets do it?"

Youka had just got done thinking about punching baby seals in the face, and here he was with a mission to get seals and well while he was not punching them in the face, he was killing people which was even better in some ways. He couldn't wait to get started as this would be another amazing mission for the books that he would be able to tell his grand children and their grandchildren would tell theirs.

The only thing that surprised Youka was the fact that he wanted Kira to lead this mission, she was way too squishy and didn't enjoy violence as much as they did, but it did make sense to give her the experience that she would need for later."Yea I agree she does need it, so we]ll see where this goes, I won't kill the first person this time till she does" he would say over the mark.

As the girl realized she had been speaking out loud this entire time Youka would speak up "Yeah...that was weird and a little time wasting, so come on fearless leader and tell us what we are doing, I won't make the first kill till you do so you better do it fast cause you know how I am when it's time to kill" he would say flashing her all his teeth in a smile. Now all they had to do was wait for her to show them the way and this mission would be over in a bat of an eye

“See Kira we are all agreed, you tell us what to do. So you know we both can sense people from 100 meters away, and the seals are located somewhere in the boarders out there. If you prefer I can even carry you, to make things go faster and you can tell me where to go. Or you take point and we will cover your flanks. Totally up to you.”

So Youka agreed that this could be dangerous, but he also saw the point of it. Hopefully this didn’t bit them in the backside. All the same it had to happen sometime. Maku would wait patiently for Kira to inform him what to do.

"O...Ok...." She took a deep breath, and after only a few seconds she had a plan set up and ready. "Ok. This will not be like the last two missions. We need to keep the seals alive or else we piss someone off and possibly lose the chance at payment so we need to go in quiet and make sure theres as little unneeded action as possible. Find them, Get close enough, I'll catch one in my Shadow imitation jutsu. We need to take them out clean in one hit or draw them away from the cargo to make sure none of hem get hurt. I'll know more when we actually get there but if there are no more questions lets go...I um...Mean if that is ok." She had allowed her mind to flow freely as she planned, enjoying the perks of a bloodline's innate skill she did not even know about. 

     The Nara were known to be brilliant tacticians and though she didn't know it she would prove it true. "Go ahead and carry me there so we can get there as fast as possible. I'l know what to do when we get there. "

SO it didn't take long for the girl to catch her stride an tell them all what they would be doing, which much to Youka's dismay didn't sound like a lot of anything as he would have to stick to the hide and seek method instead of the find a kill method. Looking over towards Maku he nodded and would follow behind Kira ensuring to check their blind spots and surroundings with his chakra senses. Actually no, he would not check his surroundings it would make the game that much more interesting if he couldn't see or feel an attack coming, and he wouldn't tell his teammates either so ha, that's what they get for tell Youka he couldn't kill anything.

Atleast the breeze was nice and he couldn't get over the fact at how cool it was when usually it was burning hot out in this weather. Youka was more or less daydreaming at this point ensuring to stay in realilty just enough to be able to follow his partners but nothing else letting his mind wander onto different ways to kill people. Getting bored he would nag Kira and Maku by repeadetly asking "Are we there yet, are we there yet, are we there yet" Maku would get it worse as he would say it over the curse mark as well into the mans mind.

Allowing Kira onto his back, they would begin moving. Maku thought she had taken to command fairly well, at least at first. If she could just learn to shut her mouth after she first started talking she would be doing fairly well. After all leadership wasn't about knowing everything. It was about surrounding yourself with more powerful and smarter people to help lead you to the inevitable conclusions that must be made. Kira would learn that in time. Two lethal killers at her side, both willing to let her live. Who could ask for more.

Youka, was being Youka. The man was an enigma if Maku had ever known one. One moment he was pissed because god forbid someone was having fun, and the next he was embracing his inner child, not always a good thing for priests, and annoying the piss out of Maku. O well, he would get him back, not know but in time, in due time. Using his chakra senses Maku soon found a large cluster of chakra signatures. None on the signatures themselves were large, however there was 13 individuals. As they got closer, a large factory looking building emerged from the trees. Stopping outside of visual range, he would allow Kira to slip off his back, letting his hand brush her as she did, maybe a little inappropriate, but he would use the mission to distract her and get away with it.

"Kira, there's the factory, I sense 13 people, what do you want us to do, and remember its your kill first then we will follow your commands." His face would be calm, collected, and oddly serious, not letting on anything that had just happened.
