stop the drunk
One more, she reminded herself as she walked quickly to the new destination. It was unfortunate that the destination for this mission happened to be the tavern that she had been staying in, but also slightly good. The downside was she needed to go all the way home before going back out to collect her money. The plus of course was that the drunk man always seemed to cause trouble at night. He kept her up, though if it wasn’t him it would be the horrifying dreams, and she knew exactly who they were talking about when they explained to her who she was to take care of. She wouldn’t kill him, of course. She wouldn’t kill anyone, however she needed to end this problem very quickly.
“Alright. So the shadow imitation technique again should handle this easily. “ She stood outside the tavern preparing her mental strategy for what would happen when she walked in. She could hear the man yelling from outside, even through the closed door. “Joy….It’s already started. “ She would enter and try and talk him into calming down and heading home quickly. If that didn’t work she would handle the problem in the same way she handled any problem. She would use her shadow to subdue him, and if need by she would knock him out. her thoughts were interpted in a second as she heard a loud crashing sound followed by the clang of metal. No way, she thought, did he find some sort of weapon. She knew he carried a sword at his side, but he wouldn’t actually be stupid enough to draw it would he?
SHe rushed in, pulling the door open quickly to scan the room and assess the situation before her. Sure enough It was the man she was searching for and he was on another drunked rampage. The only difference from every other night she had been here was the addition of the sword at his side being drawn and crashing into things. He wavered as he struck at random objects while yelling obsenities. He slammed the sword into the bar once more as he screamed at the bar keep for more alcohol. She rushed forward as he brandished the weapon at him, activating her strength of one thousand technique and before he could even thrust the weapon more then a few inches she had grabbed onto his arm, stopping his momentum and making him spin around quickly, throwing his elbow out towards her face. She ducked the attack and punched him four times in the chest the moment his motion made it open to her. He doubled over and before he could even hit the ground he was out cold. There was a resounding cheer from the patrons who had only moments ago seemed to fear for their lives.
“No worries…..It was nothing! Have a great day.” She called out to her shadows and two large tendrils formed up just in front of her. They shifted their shape to form two arms which bent downwards to lift him up and carry him as best they could. Thankfully he wasn’t a ninja. She took care of the situation in an instant and now it was time to check in with maku and collect her last bit of gold until Youka was ready to tackle the real missions.
