Taios once again awoke. He was still feeling cheerful from his performance at the tournament yesterday, and tonight would be round two. Once again the sun was shining and the great volcano was letting of steam, in a beautiful kind of way as the sun reflected off of it. Tonight would be the quarter and semi final rounds, and Taios was ever confident in his ability to continue. Confidence was a cute attribute after all. Stretching in his room he moved over to his punching bag to practice a couple of his techniques. It was a large bag weighing approx. 25kg. It was red and pink and resembled an adorable bear, yet was filled with tightly condensed sand to give resistance and weight. Taking up his fighting stance, Taios began throwing a flurry of punches and even a couple kicks. He had already learned several basic taijutsu techniques while he was trying to master the art. He had learned several variants of the leaf whirlwind which was one of the most basic of taijutsu techniques with its variants, and he had also started practice with the lariat technique, which could be useful in a straight up fight. Overall Taios had been feeling very pleased with himself, and was ready for the next part of the tourney to begin.
AS each punch landed, his little hands felt the soreness from the heavy bag, but he kept going, cause persistence was a cute attribute ya know. He began by practicing the strong fits tech, where a punch would be slightly stronger based on his concentration of the blow. His punches were only slightly stronger, as it was just a basic technique. The next move was the leaf gale, which involved him bending down, and striking out at his opponents legs. He had used it to great effect in round one of the tournament, but it was always good to continue practicing it. His kick he noted was slightly faster than normal, and he was actually getting pretty quick. The bag even had a few noticeable dents in it from all the punches and kicks. If one looked at Taios they would see a small boy, with a smile and a cute face. His arms didn’t resemble anything to tough, however the beating he had given that bag, and the two men at the tournament proved that this was a false attribute. His strength was raising, and even though his little body didn’t show it, one should be wary of taking a direct punch from the kid.
Finishing up with his warm up, Taios began to leave the room, and patted his unicorn float for good luck. He was super doper excited about the tournament and prepared to do what he had to do. The village was bustling more than ever as Taios made his way through town. So many people, out, but it was the weekend so many people were out running errands. As he skipped around the village he was getting a lot of odd looks like he always did when he was in the village. For some reason the people of volcano couldn’t help but stare at Taios and Saios for that matter when they wondered around the village. People found their disposition slightly odd and disconcerting. They didn’t expect cute ninja in Funkagakure, and they didn’t except them to live very long either. Yet, at least for now Taios and Saios had beaten the odds and continued on with their lives. As he made his way to the doors, and pushed them open, he heard his name already being announced. He had arrived just in time to start his fight, and his smile was so wide, his aura was that of a rainbow from his innate rainbow powers.
Entering the arena for the third time, Taios eyed his opponent with a smile and a wink as his rainbow aura pulsed around him, making him a shining beacon of cuteness and a perfect image of radiant happiness and joy. His opponent however, was the opposite. A tall dirty grungy fighter. Clearly once again thinking he had the advantage just from looks alone, though he would also be disappointed in the end results. As the bell rang and the fight began, the dirty man walked forward. Cautios, perhaps he had been paying attention after all. Making thre hand signs, he spit fire from his mouth in a concentrated way, directly towards Taios. Ducking, underneath the flames, Taios barrel rolled forward, and reached out with a leaf gale, in an attempt to trip the bigger ninja. However as he did so, and connected the man disappeared, being a clone and the real one was behind Taios, landing a crushing punch to the back of the little boys head. This marked the first time in Taios’s life he had been hit hard, by an opponent, and experienced true pain from another person, and he found he didn’t like it.
Head rining and eyes tearying up. The 4 tails almost broke through, however because of Taios’s continued exposure to the best, he was able to resist and maintain his regular form, not submitting to the bijuu cloak. Getting up, Taios rushed at the man, ducking under a punch, and blocking a kick, to send a strong fist into his gut. Causing the man to double over in pain. However it appeared this wouldn’t be the end of te fight, as the man rolled through the doubling over action, and pushed taios to the ground to throw several and continous strikes at the small boy. Blocking and dodging the majority of the punches, Taios was alble to arch up, and push the man off, and recover his standing position. With both men standing, Taios rushed forward, and performed the lariat technique with his arm out wide, catching the man just underneath the chin. As soon as he connected he slammed the man down, knocking him unconscious the moment he came into contact with the ground. Now that the fight was over, and his pain had died down, the rainbow aura was back around Taios, and he was all smiles again as he walked out of the arena, to await the next match.
The arena had grown awfully quite, no one had expected such an anomaly as Taios to make it any kind of distance in this tournament, but now he had moved through the rounds as easy as any and made it into the semi final round. He sat on his bench, eating some candy and watching the men around him fight, and curse and drink. He had no intrest in these things, being a small boy of 10, so he just sat and enjoyed the sweets and hummed tunelessly. The next round was much closer than his had been with both men going at it for what seemed like an eternity. Though many things seemed that way to Taios, that happened when you had the attention span of a gold fish after all. Soon though the match was over, and Taios would be called in again, for the sem final round, which he hoped would be more challenging than the quarter final had been. He had rather enjoyed the challenge, and it had been all to brief.
Soon his name had come up again, and he once again reentered the battle arena, prepared for another assault. His opponent this time was a nother small boy looking about as old as he was himself. That was strange as most of his opponents had not been that way. They had been stereotypically large and beefy men. This would be the first time he faced someone that looked like did, though a lot less cute. Starting the fight Taios, expected a direct assault, like all the other fights he had been in, however this was not the case. The boy simply stood still, and waited for Taios to make the first move. Unsure of what to do, Taios lunged forward performing the lariot. However he was surprised to find he had met no resistance, and no opponent. Looking around he couldn’t find the boy, he had seemingly vanished until a strike from behind let him know the fight wasn’t over. Spinning around, Taios once again lost track of the boy. His speed was unprecedented in Tiaos’s expierence. He wanted to hit him, but he just couldn’t keep up, or even track the boys movements for that matter. Would he use the cloak, he wasn’t sure.
Spinning around, he still couldn’t find the boy, but several more strikes let him know he was still there. How was he supposed to undo the great amount of speed the boy was showing. There was only one way he thought of, he had to stop the boys speed in its tracks. Prearing himself, he timed ot how the strikes were coming, and ducked at seemingly nothing, but it was enough to throw the other boy off his balance, and gave Taios a chance to grab him, and once he had his hands on the oy the fight was over. His speed may have been more impressive than anything Taios had seen, his strength was less than impressive. Getting him in a bear hug, Taios squeezed and smiled till the struggle stopped, and he let his opponent go to fall on the floor. As he walked away Taios would never know what happened to that boy he had defeated. The crowd would hold their breathes as seemingly again this boy had won a match he was not supposed to. What was he, and what would he do for the volcano village in time. Appearances could be deceiving, but with this child it was downright confusing.
Leaving the building, Taios once again walked all the way home. His body was aching from being struck several times, though he was strong, he still had the body of a child and was still prone to taking damage even from the weak punches he had endured. Making it home, he had a bublle bath and wrote in his diary about how the day went so as to unwind and get ready for the next day. It wouldn’t be long until he was ready to take on the final and win the tournament. He was confident he would be able to and all without the bijuu cloak. He liked mister monster, but he also knew that he needed to get strong on his own. That way he could make mister monster proud of him, and not be mad at him all the time. That way he could also make his brother Saios proud as well. He needed to get stronger, and fast because more importantly than all the others, was becoming a strong Funka nin and make Osore a happy happy camper, cause then he would have more power to make the village a cute place to live.
