She slowly walked up the steps of the small library, slipping past the door to nod to the librarian, on old woman with white hair and a pleasant smile. She had a purpose, and when Kira found a purpose nothing would stop her. her objective would be at the far back, she hoped, past any of the broad history or other unimportant sections to the special interest. She needed information on two things, Her family the Hyuuga and the Hokage's own, the Yamaki clan. She found a section of quite dusty books labeled clan history and her eyes scanned the names in alphabetical order. Second shelf down about half way she found the first, Hyuuga. Taking it from the shelf she tucked it under her right arm to continue. She was down to the last shelf and nearing it's end before she found the final book she needed, placing it with the other and walking to a table near the back of the room to read.
"Now....Let me see....." She opened the Yamaki book first as it was completely new to her. It had very vague information about the clan's kekigenkai as expected which gave no actual detail or insight. SHe continued scanning the pages, not actually reading any thing as much as just searching for key words until she got to the last chapter. As she read her eyes grew wide. "This......What?!" SLamming the book closed loudly she grabbed up the Hyuuga book to thumb roughly through the pages. Sure enough, as she read the realization hit her. Her adoptive mother, the clan, and their connection to the Yamaki. She knew why Navi hated that name. They had killed his people. "I....Was..." She took a moment to think back to the memories just recently obtained and a single line stuck out in her head.
"She will be of use to our...." She searched for any sign of the woman who had raised her or herself. She feared having taken part in the genocide but found neither. In the histories tab in the back it listed her mother as having died prematurely in child birth only two years before the attacks, and only moths after she had left for Ame. "They....Did she tell anyone? I need to speak to navi. "
She took the books, sliding them into her bag before turning the corner to wave at the librarian once more. She would bring them back of course but had need of them and knew it would at the least look questionable to be carrying such reading material out without explanation. Her next couse was directly back to the man who had granted her acess to his village to work through this or be asked to leave. She prayed to the goddess it was the former.
