Mission
Koaru consoled the worried family that expressed their concerns to Koaru and the Hokage. After he and the Hokage exchanged glances and nodded, Koaru promised to find and return granny safely into their arms by dusk. With that, Koaru hopped through the window of the Hokage mansion and vanished from sight. Koaru would reappear outside of the village gates, and would speak briefly to the guard. He told the guard how he was assigned on a mission, and if all were a success, he would be returning with an elderly woman, a citizen of Konoha. With that done, Koaru sprinted onward, then ascended into the trees.
Koaru travelled toward the edge of the village, yelling out for the granny to reveal herself along the way. Koaru wondered how it was possible for an elderly woman to have travelled so far. He hopped through the trees, steadying his path to run along the dirt trail that would lead outside the Fire Country. When he reached a large waterfall that seemed to drop endlessly, but in actuality was about 80 meters in length. Koaru stood on the head of a statue carved into the right side of the waterfall. He scanned the entire area for signs of life, or signs of a corpse. Koaru did not want it to come to that, but he had to weigh out all the scenarios. It turns out that Koaru would not find granny at all, so it was a win – lose situation. Koaru jumped the entire span of the waterfall and landed on the other stone bust opposing the one he was just on. Once he landed, Koaru continued to run, closer to the borders of the Fire country. While he was running, he had to wonder, if granny had indeed travelled this far, how did cross the waterfall?
Finally, Koaru arrived in Tazuna Town, bustling with nightlife. Koaru explored the town, surveying the people that passed through the streets. Amongst the droning of the crowd’s conversation, a loud roar of victory came from the town’s casino. Koaru walked to the building and peered inside. There granny was, rounding up the 12,000,000 ryo she had just hustled from the Fire country’s aristocrats. Koaru walked up to her while she gloated. She tapped her on the shoulder, only half meaning the words that he would say. The entire time, he would be eyeballing the mountains of ryo.
“Okay, time to go home, granny…”
