Into the Woods

Akikuro peers over her counter at the two papers set atop it. She hadn't registered for any postage with her address, so it was a mystery as to how they found their way under her door, but it probably wouldn't be too hard to find her if someone was really looking.

She prodded the letters with a stick, she'd collected this stick just the other hour for exactly this purpose, and with slow gentle prods the first piece unfurls itself in a mess of glitter. Probably Saya then, or one of the puppets, Aki was still trying very hard to figure out how the divide worked without thinking about it too much. Now the stick would be a tool of welcome and she slowly pulled the letter towards her to avoid setting off any potential glitter bombs.

The prose was rapid and basically amounted to a letter of conscription. There was a cookie factory, or garden, or whatever that needed to be shut down and now she was in a position to help out! All that'd be needed was to open the other scroll and link up with Pino.

Seemed simple enough and Aki had nothing better to do for the foreseeable future, so she opened letter number two and found herself standing at the gates of somewhere snowy with scents of peppermint and gingerbread laying thick in the air. Considering the fact that at the least, the cookies were said to be poisoned, she wasn't sure how excited she should be around the treats, but the snow led to a much easier conclusion by sheer virtue of the fact there was snow at all.

Snow! That meant ice and cold and winter and all sorts of lovely things. She hadn't actually seen a winter, snowflakes and all, in a very long time. Just in storybooks and the frequent daydreams she had when thinking on Yuki things. Even if she just ended up sightseeing, this'd be worth the trip.
