Toma was the one that was supposed to go to Kumo, but he got side tracked and Den had simply told Tomoya that he should go search around. Didn't tell Den what for though, it seemed like his creator didn't fully trust him.
It was probably because of how strange Tomoya's existance came about, what with Takehiko and Den's actual clone forming together to create him. And Den couldn't control him, though he couldn't really control Toma anymore either. But he knew Toma, so that was perhaps why he still trusted him, as opposed to Tomoya who was practically a stranger.
And Tomoya hadn't been nice the last time they'd met. He had tried to help Den out and develop Mangekyou, which Tomoya still wasn't sure how he knew about that, but he had obviously upset Den with the news of Daniel's death. Tomoya wasn't sure why he had been so mean about it, but Tomoya was still trying to figure out who he was. He had all of this knowledge, from Den's clone and Takehiko, but he didn't know what he wanted to do with it, he didn't know what sort of personality he had. He'd figure it out though, hopefully, maybe. Toma and the other clones had it easy, Den gave them personalities, Tomoya had no received that gift. He was a fully grown man with knowledge that wasn't his, no life experiences of his own to mold him to what he was.
So Tomoya decided that he would get some life experience, and why not go to one of the places Toma had been sent to do so? Maybe he'd find something that'd help Den, or perhaps Toma would show up and they coudl work together. Didn't really matter to Tomoya though, he just wanted to understand how life worked and what not.
So dressed in a nice suit, because he wanted to look his best seeing as he'd meet new people, and wearing glasses over his golden eyes, he appeared in front of the gates of Kumogakure, he walked there of course as he unfortunately could only teleport to places he or Den had been to before and it seems Den never visited Kumo.. His dark hair was a bit messy but he thought it looked nice that way, and it wasn't overly so it was still a bit neat.

The gates as always was a less than iconic and pleasurable spot to do guard duty at, but like all ninja Yaju had a job that he couldn't neccesarily refuse but he could have easily coaxed someone into doing it for him. Leaning on the right side of the gates the young ninja watched from a distanced using his Byakugan through a slightly tilted fox mask that only covered his left yellow eye. Amongst his clothing he had worn a red and black sleeveless long collarged vest that covered most of his mouth giving him a mysterious appearance. The head band of Kumogakure sat tied between the loops of his black training pants as he continued to watch for anyone coming up through to the village.
Some time passed as a couple of people had walked into the gates, some being members of the village that had just returned from missions and others that were simple travelers that wanted to do trade with the village. Although most were normal and didn't pose that much for questioning there was one that stood out amongst them all. The way this person was dressed however made him stand out amongst the others entering the village..a suit. Not many people wore suits when coming into a village especially if they were walking here, the unfortunate choice of clothing would no doubt bring him some unwated attention, but since he was coming into the village he would give a common response that all ninja guards would," State your name and intentions for coming to the village of Kumogakure," from the looks of it, it would seem as if Yaju was not speaking due to the collar being in front of his mouth, but his eyes however were trained on the boy as he waited for an answer.

How should he respond? Should he be polite and answer the questions, or did he want to complain about having to be questioned to enter a village. Tomoya thought about his options for a moment, not knowing which one he wanted to take. In the end though he decided that it would be best to just answer t He figured it would be bad the questions so that that he could enter. Though how did he want to answer the second question? He felt that if he explained that he was the fusion of two inter-dimensional beings that had no personality who hoped to gain life experience within the village,he would be looked at strangely so he should probably lie.
"My name is Tomoya, and I wish to join your village and learn how to be a shinobi!" Tomoya thought this was good, he could maybe lean more about shinobi skills as well if this worked. He knew that such skills could be useful to have.

Yaju blinked for a moment at the words of the young male, his eyes looking around for a moment before chuckling slightly before calling over a guard. After whispering something into his ear the guard would nod and disappear," Alright Tomoya...there's a process you have to go through to become a ninja of this village, which includes making sure you aren't a missing ninja or criminal. If you aren't then you shall go through the village entering process which is also a bore, but when you get through you will be an official genin and serviced to a team. If you see any member of this village that you would like to mentor you ask for them specifically and it will go from there," after giving all of this information to the boy he would move out of the way and welcome him into the village," By the way welcome to the Village of Kumo," after that Yaju would return to the form of a statue, his eyes being fully covered by the mask.

Tomoya would totally have heard whatever was being whispered, what with his having the experienced fighter skill and all, but hopefully Tomoya would be informed of what he heard soonish, because it would be weird if he had heard something that would change his actions but he didn't change his actions.
The man told Tomoya of the process he would have to undergo in order to become a shinobi of the village. He didn't know what being a genin was, he had heard the term before but hadn't bothered to ask, but he felt that he shouldn't be one. Still, no point in arguing with the guy who was letting him into the village. After explaining everything the man said welcome to kumo, putting his mask back on or something. Tomoya didn't know if this meant the guy was done talking to him, but didn't want to be awkward so he just said, "Thank you," and if the man had nothing else to say to him, he would start to head towards the village to go get his background check done or whatever.
