If Youta had a second blade this might have played out differently. But since she had only one and wielded it with both hands, this was pretty clear from the moment Takeo blocked her slash with his strange dagger-on-a-wire. The Genin decided it was unfavorable for her to stay in this position and jumped back even before Takeo's second dagger was revealed. As she was slower, she would not be out of his range before the thrust happened, but she could see it, probably thanks to the field that slowed his movement.

Only because she jumped back before it started, would she not get a really nasty wound, although the thrust was so fast it did actually manage to catch her, if only just barely.
Stopping a couple meters from her opponent Youta would recover her stance. This time she would not jump immediately at him, but instead wait for his attack as Takeo was mighty unpredictable, making slow attacks, obviously holding back, then a second later nearly killing her.

Takeo spun one of the blades around by the wire casually, watching as the girl would go on the defensive it seemed. Smart, considering how she was too slow to land a blow on him anyway. He was pleasantly surprised to see she had managed to dodge his attack. Of course he would have stopped at the last second anyway, but it was quite nice to see she wasn't completely incompetent. The Kage felt somewhat disappointed in himself really. The fact that he had to manually block strikes from a Genin was something he considered shameful. Taking a moment he thought over a way in which he could bypass something like that completely. Perhaps once this spar was over he would go about researching things for a new technique. It had been quite awhile since he had created a new one after all. Speaking of which, it was time for him to end this spar. "Well this has been fun. Alas being Tenkage means I don't have much time on my hands. One last attack from me, keep up with it and you win." One of the things he liked about Redan was the fact that there was barely any indication that he had activated it. Apart from the fact he now a small black tear shaped mark on his cheek. The minute it was activated, he dashed forward. Bararaq Sei activated, becoming coated in his lightning chakra. He made his way forward at a speed of 180, rushing to the right side of the girl. All that was needed was a small nick by his blades, and that's all he did. A tiny slash along her ribcage.

As Takeo said this being the last attack, Youta guessed he would make it as difficult as he could for her and that she would need her all to counter, if it was possible at all. Immediately her eyes lit up blue and she would see the Tenkage's chakra surge, nearly doubling in a single moment. It was now times stronger than Youta's and she felt the immediate and great danger, as if looking at a tsunami that would swallow you in a moment. It overwhelming her chakra sense did not help it either. And so, her response was not really willing, as she saw no actual way she could defend, but rather one of desperation, when powers are used that the user does not even know of.

Moment before Takeo would charge off, Youta's gaze swirled as her clan's genjutsu was used. Not knowing that power the white haired man had no reason to avoid her eyes and when they met, he would be pulled into a vision of standing on surface of a sea at night and a giant moon above him, its reflection under his feet - a dual world. There would be no sound and no smell, only the vision.
With her opponent now hopefully incapacitated, Youta's blade beamed with wind, the chakra coating her sword and extending over its blade. Without delay, she would lunge forward and thrust it at his throat, if it were apparent he was unable to avoid it she would stop it inches away.

Genjutsu, something that Takeo was not exactly adept at handling. Likely it would have caused a loss on his part It was a shame that while he had no reason to not look into her eyes, he had no reason to look into them in the first place. His target wasn't the head of the girl, it was her side. Thus his eyes would be on the target for the entirety of his movements. Of course he noticed her doujutsu activating, he did after all have Byakugan, thus felt like he should compliment her on her attempts. After all, he had taken off almost immediately after activating Redan. Being able to react to someone going three times the speed of you is surely something that deserves recognition. Since she had made no other move to try and defend against the attack, the blade would cut along her skin lightning chakra coursing through her body. Her body would convulse as the lightning shut down her movements, her falling forward onto her face. Deactivating the blades he would not bother to actually stop, he was actually late for an appointment, and it was beginning to rain. Thus he left the rooftop, descending down the tower at an incredible speed. Back to work he went. He hated having to do work.

Who could have guessed that his eyes would be locked on only one thing and the Genjutsu would fail that way. The attack came as fast as was expected, that is faster than the Genin was capable of responding. In an instant a small cut through her armor and into her ribs happened and through this wound Takeo's lightning chakra surged, paralyzing her. Youta coughed and hit the floor.

As she was laying there, unable to move, her senses tracked Takeo moving away from her. Guess checking up on her was not in his interest. The blue glow of the Rentei's eyes disappeared as she watched Shigure that was laying in front of her. She was still weak and useless... at some point the girl started to have doubts if she would be able to carry on Yozora's legacy. Her master was so much better than her. As the pain slowly receded and she regained partial control of her body, Youta would curl into a ball, cuddling her knees. A shadow would hover above her, before landing with a thud. Cael's howl was worried. Probably because Youta did not speak much herself, the dragon also learned to express himself in other means, even if he was capable of speech. He would nudge her slightly, to make sure she was alive. Realizing that she was, it would let out another sound, this time embodying a complaint, blaming her for playing dead on him. Comforted somewhat by the idea that somebody cared about her, Youta slowly conjured the will to get up. It was time to continue her training after she made sure the wound was nothing threatening...
