Why Be A Fool? [NK, P, Spar] - Page 2 Empty Re: Why Be A Fool? [NK, P, Spar]

Mon Sep 22, 2014 9:10 pm
Hero notices Kemuri widening his distance and quickly rack his brain for a way to counter the next attack. He doesn't know anything about the ability of his opponent but one thing for sure, he can turn into some sort of gas form. Maybe he can also turn into some poisonous gas, maybe he can turn himself according to the surrounding therefore he can turn into smoke because of the explosion. However, the fact that his opponent can turn into smoke mean that he must not get into a close combat. His taijutsu is pathetic, he knows that, and the man he's facing can turn into some gas form any time. The best he could do is to keep his distance and win with speed. From looking at the speed of Kemuri, he doesn't seem all that fast, at least not as fast as him or his bugs. Perhaps the best way to do this is to keep his distance and attack with his bugs when he get the chance to.

Before Kemuri could charge at Hero, the latter man started sending his bugs toward Kemuri. There are a total of thirty of them, ten heading toward Kemuri from the left, ten from the middle and another ten from the right. The bugs are looking to corner Kemuri therefore wearing him out and letting Hero come up with a plan. But of course if this succeed then it's even better.

"I gotta think quick," said Hero looking at Kemuri just in case he managed to broke out again. If he did, he'd have to use his speed to dodge again. In close combat it'd be risky for him with his poor strength and Kemuri's unknown ability but he can still somehow drop his kikaichu bug on Kemuri rendering his ability useless by sucking his chakra.

Why Be A Fool? [NK, P, Spar] - Page 2 Empty Re: Why Be A Fool? [NK, P, Spar]

Kemuri continued his charge at Hero, quickly noticing the presence of the fifty kikaichu coming his way, twenty of which trying to flank him. -It's useless.- He thought, transforming his entire body into a cloud of smoke and travelling directly through them, kunai still in hand, or rather being held by the smoke, and slashing at the mass as he did so to attempt to kill as many as possible, if any at all even (Up to you Hero). Once he were through the main mass, he would remain in his smoke form and continue on his path to Hero, knowing full well that he would likely just run away from him as he did so. To attempt to counteract this, he would leave his smoke form and would reach his empty hand to a weapon pouch on the opposite leg, pulling out three shuriken and launching them with as much force as he could towards Hero before continuing on his path to him, running as fast as he could to keep the time that the kikaichu behind him would catch up as long as possible, also of course trying to get within melee range of Hero where he would stand a chance in battle.

"Fight me in person!" He would taunt, hoping that Hero would be a prideful ninja so that said taunt would be more successful. -There has to be some way to fool him into melee with me- He thought to himself, trying desperately to think of some way to get into melee range with what limited jutsu and speed he had.

Why Be A Fool? [NK, P, Spar] - Page 2 Empty Re: Why Be A Fool? [NK, P, Spar]

Tue Sep 30, 2014 12:50 am
(OOC: It's actually 30 bugs lol and I fixed more than just the handseals part, just thought it'd be more realistic this way)

"Decision, decision, decision. We're in a stalemate as of now, this guys is too elusive he'll just dodge every last one of my attacks. This will never end if this carry on, we'll both exhaust ourselves," said Hero. He's tempted to go into hand to hand combat although knowing how much of a disadvantage he has. But then again, he might be able to use his bugs more efficiently in close combat and suppress Kemuri with his speed. All he gotta go is to dodge every attacks - yes, easier said than done. Then again, he kept drawing blank whenever he tried to rack his brain for any idea to attack this man. Maybe, melee combat was the best idea. Or maybe, he has to use the bugs he laid down in the sand and grass after all, perhaps not the best idea but he has to try.

Hero glances at the sand noticing that Kemuri is just about 4 steps away from on his bug and behind him about 5-6 steps is another bug. Right where Hero is standing is another bug and behind the same man for about 5-6 steps is another bug. He has to lure Kemuri to the bugs somehow. Though first of all and the most important part is hiding his intention. He once read a book about warring technique saying that a smart strategist let his opponent know his next move, a very smart strategist let his opponent know his next two moves and an extremely smart strategist let his opponent know his next three moves - maybe he should let Kemuri know his next move.

Hero looks at Kemuri slicing twenty of his bugs no longer surprised that he managed to escape but he acted as if he was surprised. "How did you!? Damn you must be at your limit now!" said Hero although he didn't really mean it. He saw the shrurikens coming at him in full speed and instantly know that even with his speed it'd be hard to dodge unless he were to jump upward which is something that he can't do because that's give time for Kemuri to catch up. "Crap!" said Hero with a worried-looking face as the shrurikens head toward him. Hero releases twenty bugs from his pore then hastily make handseals which are tiger, boar, ox, dog, snake. The shurikens struck him on his chest - all three of them - and he have lost. Or is he? Smoke surrounds him and in Hero's place is a wooden plank with three shrurikens and twenty bugs (although impossible to count manually due to their small size and number). Hero is nowhere to be found.

But in reality, Hero has substituted himself with a wooden plank from the wood which, as described in the beginning, located right after the grass. Using the time when Kemuri is distracted by the illusion he created with his jutsu, he quickly make a series of handseals which are dog, boar and finally ram turning himself into a kikaichu bug. He moved (assuming that transformation jutsu won't allow one to fly although turned into something that can) to the back of the tree he's on so he's concealed from Kemuri then gradually climb down from it in his bug form then move toward the grass where the five bugs he placed earlier are.

The ten bugs behind Kemuri started attacking Kemuri whereas one out of the twenty bugs that got released earlier didn't attack although nineteen other did. That one bug that didn't attack lie on the sand, a trick Hero set so that Kemuri would think that he has transformed into that one bug.  Out of the twenty bugs, nine attacked Kemuri's lower body while ten attack Kemuri's upper body. As for the ten from behind, they all attack Kemuri's upper body.

Why Be A Fool? [NK, P, Spar] - Page 2 Empty Re: Why Be A Fool? [NK, P, Spar]

Kemuri growled a bit in anger at the fact Hero had just spoken for so long in the midst of a battle. He knew well that speaking in battle had little effect on how a person performed, but it was just something he disliked, feeling as though it were as though he wasn't even focusing on the battle. This lead Kemuri to believe that he wasn't respected by Hero, which he probably wasn't of course. -I can't keep this up much longer. These damned bugs are forcing me to use my transformation far too much.- He thought to himself, thinking of some way to get rid of them all. He had already used one of the items he was in short supply of to kill a good amount, and had slashed a decent portion of them while he was going through a cloud of them to try and get to Hero. If only he knew more jutsu, taking out targets in mass would be nothing difficult, but he had only just recently begun to actually train outside of the Iburi compound, quite obviously making it where he knew very few jutsu, being taught only one from a more jutsu savvy member of the clan.

Kemuri had actually thought he had hit Hero for a moment, hoping that the jutsu he was obviously preparing to use was simply an attack or defense he didn't have the time to perform. Unfortunately, Hero then burst into smoke, revealing that he had used the common substitution technique. -of course he would avoid the only attack that's almost struck him so far- He thought to himself, noting the fact that more kikaichu had come from the substitution as it appeared to him. "This is ridiculous." He said, looking around a bit before once more transitioning into his smoke form, seeming to evaporate as water, but much more quickly, the smoke making it's way towards the kikaichu that had just come from the substitution, kunai still floating amidst the smoke. "If you won't come out," He yelled "I'll just have to kill all your bugs!" swinging the kunai at the beetles, actually aiming for them now rather than simply swinging as he went through them quickly.

-I'm afraid I'm going to have tired myself to the point that I can no longer continue by the time most of these bugs are killed. There's little hope of victory now.- Kemuri thought to, by now being quite livid with the way Hero was battling, as well as disappointed in himself for being incapable of avoiding a few flying insects.

Why Be A Fool? [NK, P, Spar] - Page 2 Empty Re: Why Be A Fool? [NK, P, Spar]

Hero watches as Kemuri transformed himself into smoke again before cutting down his bugs. This really doesn't concern him at all, in fact it's even better that Kemuri are killing them. Kikaichu are known for their ability to mutate very quickly (1 post in this case) however their lifespan is only equivalent to about an hour so they can't be used over a long period of time. With Kemuri cutting them down it makes Hero easier as he can mutate his bugs while hiding instead.

Hero gazes at the sky - something he found rather difficult to his bug form - and look at the sun which is his only indicator of time. It's right in the middle of the sky meaning that the bugs he released in the beginning of the battle from earlier are dying. Unfortunately for him he can only telepathically communicate with bugs that are one meter around him therefore he can't order bugs that he hid in the sand. The only bugs he can order right now are the one he hid in the grass which are all right next to him. Then again, if he were to order them to fly toward Kemuri right now, Kemuri would know his location. Guess it's better for them to die in vain.

He watches as Kemuri sliced the bugs, counting as he did so trying to determine how long the latter man can assume his smoke form. This knowledge can be very important for him if he want to win this spar. If Kemuri can last in this form for a long time or worst, for as long as he can, it'd be a terrible idea for him to get up close. It'd be like battling against the wind itself. However, if Kemuri can only last for a few minutes that can be a nice discovery. He can lure Kemuri to somehow assume his smoke form then when he started to turn back to his normal form, quickly attack him without his noticing. That's the best plan he can come up with right now. Though right now Kemuri can't afford to turn back into his human form with the amount of bugs surrounding him. He can't kill them all in one go because of two reasons which are the fact that the bugs are faster than him and it's number.

Kemuri killed 5 bugs with his swing so far due to the fact that they are positioned far away from each other unlike before. Now that the bugs noticed that Kemuri turned into smoke, they retreated slightly for about half a meter and started separating themselves from each other so Kemuri wouldn't be abs to kill a bunch of them in one go. As they made space between themselves, they started circling around Kemuri waiting for that precise moment when the man turned back into his human form. If that were to occur, they would all swiftly fly toward Kemuri trying to get on him. The circling and spacing was so they can dodge Kemuri with their speed. Of course the plan is flawed because Kemuri can trick them into believing that he's turning back to his human form or turning back into smoke for quickly before the bugs can suck his chakra but all these actions are not to beat Kemuri but more so to exhaust him. That have been Hero's plan since he found out of Kemuri's unique ability. Well that and his trump card that he's not planning on using because his dad forbid him to use it unless he's in a near-death situation. According to his father, that trump card of his is so devastating that it can pretty much kill a man. The best he can do is to threaten Kemuri to give up with that jutsu but so far, Kemuri doesn't seem to be that type of guy to be intimidated.

Why Be A Fool? [NK, P, Spar] - Page 2 Empty Re: Why Be A Fool? [NK, P, Spar]

Kemuri watched as he swung his kunai for the bugs, missing a good deal of the strikes as he did so. -well this is quite disappointing- He thought, looking as the kikaichu circled him. He knew very well that he would not have the stamina to continue on with this battle for more than a minute if he were continued to be forced into using his smoke transformation the entire time. At the time, Kemuri is simply not varied enough in his jutsu or even physically capable enough to take on an army of flying insects and a man that would refuse to face him head on. With this in mind, Kemuri would find that taking the spar any further would be of no benefit to him, transforming himself back into his regular form and turning in the direction he had last seen Hero, obviously not being where he were currently. "I concede." He shouted loudly enough for Hero to hear, turning away and walking towards the path they had used to enter the field earlier, having no reaction to the kikaichu circling him unless they decided to continue with their assault.

"I can't believe I was defeated so easily by someone who couldn't even touch me." Kemuri said to himself quietly, ashamed of the fact that an army of insects had made him to give up on a battle. As Kemuri walked, he would think of his past, specifically the times he was faced with an Iburi of considerably greater power than he, as this was the closest thing he could possibly compare Hero's ability to. As He walked, he stared at a slight angle to the ground, hardly paying attention to his surroundings while he took the route back to the village of Konoha, and from there to his home, which was really a tiny apartment, all the while thinking of how he had to become more powerful, even if it were just more powerful than the rest of the members of his clan. He was now far more determined to train himself to a level of power that no Iburi had ever reached before than he had ever been. In fact, he was determined to the point that he would begin to contemplate going back to the Iburi compound and demanding training from one of the elders.

Why Be A Fool? [NK, P, Spar] - Page 2 Empty Re: Why Be A Fool? [NK, P, Spar]

Hero stares in confusion as Kemuri admitted his defeat. He didn't expect the latter man do this, let alone at this point of the spar. At first, he thought it was some sort of trap set by Kemuri to lure him out but considering the fact that he ordered his bugs attack Kemuri forced him to take action. From this distance, he can't commute telepathically to his bugs thus they would attack Kemuri if he didn't do something. Even though it could potentially be a trap, Hero wouldn't want to attack an unprepared man who is pulling himself out of the match, no that would be a disgrace to him. Thinking as such, he canceled his transformation and jumped out of his hidden place toward where Kemuri once was in order to stop his bugs.

"Such a killjoy," Hero mumbles to himself looking at Kemuri walking away, still perplexed by this turn of event. "Just when my genius plan is about to finish too," added Hero silently. "Come out," said Hero. The bugs he hid so far - sand and grass alike - popped out of their hiding place to gather up with the other bugs that were attacking Kemuri and they all return to Hero. Hero thinks for a moment and finally realize that weird feeling he have had for a while now, a feeling that he's missing something. Oh yeah it was the other ninja's name, he never even get a chance to hear his name. The other time, too. Appearing out of the blue and vanishing as if nothing happened, all it leaves is a feeling that everything didn't really happen. Guys like that pissed him off the most because it made him rack his brain questioning himself. Ah well, at least he gained some valuable battling experience. It's always nice to actually fight a real battle, there's a lot more you can learn from being involved in it yourself rather than training alone or read books about it. Hero is a guy who shoots for the moon and only the moon therefore leaving him no time to gaze at the stars or worse, being content at landing on a star. He would only be satisfied actually landing on the moon, that's the type of guy he is.

Hero cocks his head to look at the sky seeing the sun where it once was - the middle of it - and realize that it's time for lunch. He bids the training ground farewell and walked toward the same director Kemuri left. Come to think about it, it's great that Hero took some minutes to think to himself otherwise it would have been really awkward after Kemuri saying goodbye but they ended up going the same way after all. Yup, super awkward.
