Tank's Long Day [p/Solo Training] Empty Tank's Long Day [p/Solo Training]

Fri Sep 19, 2014 1:45 pm
Walking along the main dirt road from the city toward the training grounds Tank thought to himself about the past couple of weeks that have gone on. Mostly about the training and sparring he has been up to. His solo training has seemed to be relatively effective, but it seems like the gap between him and the sparring partners he has had keeps growing. Especially between hiself and Kenshin. What was it exactly that was helping others gain power so much faster than he himself was able to achieve. Letting his mind go blank and calm himself as he was begining to get up just thinking about it. As he walked along the dirt path he listened to the ground crunch and crack under his weight with each step. Feeling the sun shine on his body warming up his muscles and somewhat lifting his spirit Tank closed his eyes and let a small smile shape across his face. Tank knew what he had to do to become as strong as he wanted to be. Feeling the terrain change from the hard beaten pathway of the dirt road to the soft grass of the training grounds Tank stopped and opened his eyes to see that surprisingly noone was was around. It was peaceful and relaxing for Tank to be alone and able to think without any sort of distractions. Walking further out into the feild Tank began to stretch out which was a little easier thanks to the weather. It was the perfect day for training with the sun out, but not being entirely too hot because a light breeze was flowing across the open feild. Tank stopped somewhere near the middle of the feild and continued stretching by raising his right leg up and using his arms to pull his knee against his chest. Holding it there for a few seconds Tank realised just how tight his body really was. Tank was in a rather enlightened state of mind today and it was helping him realise things about himself that he was unable to see before. This inspired him to dedicate his entire day to training and becoming a better shinobi overall. Today was going to be Tank's day and it seemed like everything was lined up for just that.

Releasing his stretch and taking a deep breathe to collect himself Tank exhaled and then snapped into a laser like focus. Tank ran off toward the southern border of the training grounds at near his top speed feeling the light breeze pushing against him and cooling the beads of sweat that had already begun forming on his forehead. Ahead of him were several wooden training dummies that were slightly taller than him and had multiple limbs sticking out at varying degrees and lengths. As Tank approached the dummies instead of mapping out a taijutsu routine he decided this would be good practice for him to learn to doge while he is moving at or near top speed. Closing in quickly Tank watched carefully at the mass of dummies that were grouped together. Tank reached the group of dummies and ducked beneath the first limb that was stretched out near his head, then planted with his right foot and pressed himself to the left to get around a limb that was about waist height. Landing on his left foot he pushed himself forward and further into the mass of dummies. This time there were two dummies that were rather close together. Instead of going around Tank decided to try and get inbetween them without getting touched. Pushing forward even faster to make it more difficult on himself Tank jumped forward and dove inbetween tow limbs that were sticking out, one was knee height and the other was right at Tank's chest level. As he flew through the two limbs he kept his head up watching for the next "attack" that was coming. He noticed that he was flying right into another limb that was angled staight forward as if someone was attempting to impale him. Taking a page from Kenshin from their last spar together Tank reached down and planted his hand in the ground slowing himself enough that his body began to raise up and over his head into a handstand. Tank shoved off of the ground pushing himslef up into the air and over the dummy that he had nearly dove right into. While flying through the air Tank twisted his body around to where his body was back to its upright position. Falling to the ground he looked ahead at the last couple of dummies that he neaded to get past. Tank landed rather ungracefully with a loud thud and kicking up a bit of dirt from the ground in a crouched position down on one knee. Almost in a sprinters stance Tank burst forward toward the last few dummies as fast as he could. The dummies were a bit more spaced out that the two he had previously run through. Reaching the first dummy Tank hopped up a little bit and landed his right foot on a waist high limb then shoved off toward the next dummy. There were two limbs angled at tank on this dummy and Tank was aimed right for them. He reached his right hand out and grabbed ahold of one of the limbs swinging himself around and over the other limb. Letting go of the limb with his right hand Tank lauched forward and into an empty patch of grass. Breathing slightly heavy and sweat dripping down his face Tank felt that familiar breeze from earlier hit his face and it was a wave of relaxation over his body. Tank turned around and looked at the dummies he had just manuevered through with his hands resting on his hips. Letting out a light sigh tank began walking back toward the middle of the training grounds to rest a bit without completely standing still. Walking toward the middle of the training grounds Tank refocuses himself and thinks about what area he needs to address next.

Tank's Long Day [p/Solo Training] Empty Re: Tank's Long Day [p/Solo Training]

Wed Oct 01, 2014 10:37 pm
As Tank walked back toward the middle of the training grounds he could feel the slight breeze of the wind on his sweaty forehead and a little bit through his clothes. It felt good, but Tank was begining to feel a bit over heated and knew it was only going to get worse as he continued his training. Finally reaching the middle of the training grounds Tank decided he would lose a bit of clothing to help himself cool off. Taking off his shirt by reaching down and grabbing it by the bottom then pulling up with both arms. As the shirt raised up and over his head his glistening, rock hard, abs could be seen stretching. Then his chest emerged from under the rather bulky shirt. If anyone had been around to see Tank they would most certainly be in awe of his physique. Although as big and muscle bound as he was he wasn't even as strong as that tiny little Uchiha, Kenshin. Pulling the shirt down and off to one side now he would drop it where he stood and let the breeze hit his full body and cool him off even more. Tank gave off a slight sigh and then breathed in deeply through his nose until his lungs were at full capacity. Slowly letting the air out Tank felt amazing today. The air seemed to be calming and relaxing, but also energizing and revitalizing his drive to get stronger. Thinking to himself a bit he knew he needed to learn more jutsu if he was ever going to become a successful shinobi. Knowing his chakra element was earth narrowed down his options for now and made the decision much easier. Tank decided to teach himself a jutsu he had witnessed several times before that other genin he knew were capable of using.

he thought to himself. Thinking back onto watching several of his fellow genin perform the technique he realised the jutsu didn't require and hand signs. It seemed to his all they did was clap and place there hands on the ground then the ground began to move either straight up or down. Of course the technique required chakra to be performed, but tank wasn't sure how much or really in what way it needed to be distributed. Focusing his chakra into his Tank stared at a bit of ground several feet infront of him. That was the target and he wanted to at least make it move a bit for his first try. So he didn't hold back at all assuming he would be able to at least get a little bit of a reaction if he used a larger portion of his chakra. Tank then clapped his hands together and placed them on the ground. Flowing his chakra into the ground and in the general direction of where he wanted the technique to be performed. Instead of seeing the jutsu performed a few feet infront of himself he quickly felt the ground beneath him begining to move. the ground under him began to warp and throw Tank off balance. Stumbling over onto his side he felt the ground continue to shake under him. As the ground shook he felt a bit of pressure pushing him down, but it only lasted less than a second. As the momentum of his upward movement stopped he felt the pressuer releaved and he quickly stood up. Tank brushed himself off and then looked around to see if he had done anything other than knock himself over. To his surprise he had raised the ground around himself about six feet upward. It was sloppy and he didn't even touch the area he intended to, but he had technically performed the jutsu. Now embolded by his minor success he decide he would try and lower the ground back down to where it was before. Again focusing his chakra in his palms Tank would clap and palce them on the ground. This time channeling the chakra into the ground directly below him. Tank could feel the ground begin to shake beneath himself again. This time he was ready for it and had braced for the shaky start. However it wasn't nearly as shaky as the first time. Tank kept his head up to watch the progress of his jutsu. The ground he was standing on began to lower slowly at first and Tank began to relax thinking he had figured the jutsu out already. Then at the moment Tank lost his concentration the ground beneath him began to drop faster and much farther than he entended it to. watching as the ground around him now looked as if it were raising up around him like prison walls. The movement eventually stopped and Tank stood up and looked around. All around him was dirt and rock going upward for about twenty meters. The top was wide open and he could clearly see the sky still. Watching upward as the clouds went by he could tell the breeze was still blowing and he wanted to feel it. Doing this jutsu back to back was wearing him down a bit and being trapped down in this hole with no fresh air was making him sweat a lot. Tank prepares himself one last time or at least he hopes so. Focusing chakra into his hands yet again Tank reminds himself that he needs to stay focused throughout the entire jutsu this time so he gets it right. He then claps his hands and places them on the ground. Feeling the ground shake a bit and then raise upward. Tank keeps a watchful eye on where he is as the jutsu raises the ground beneath him to make sure it is perfectly back to where it began. As the ground began to close in on where it had initailly started Tank focused even more to make sure he didn't lose control like he did last time. The ground slowed toward the top of where Tank wanted it and stopped completely right where he wanted it to. Tank stood up and felt that same familiar breeze from before and it was like heaven on earth for him. As Tank thought to himself for a bit about his hard work so far he sat down to rest and regain some of his strength. Feeling a bit accomplished Tank decided it was time for a lunch break and he was really hungry. Tank then set off toward the village with his stomach growling and a slight smile on his face from the progress he had made so far.
