He saw when Kira's lips began to move, but took no note of it, thinking that it wasn't anything important. Oh how wrong he was. Once her hair color made a drastic change, from black to snow white like his, Mugen's eyes slightly widened in surprise. Upon seeing a faint blue hue surround her frame, he took a single step back on reflex. He then focused on the hand seals she was creating, and continued to look on when a short stream of water escaped from his mouth. That must have been the Water Trumpet technique...The boy slowly copied the actions Kira performed, going from Dragon to Tiger to Hare. Just like when he first practiced, he focused on turning his chakra into water before forcing it to travel to his mouth.

Mugen quickly turned to face the direction opposite of Kiranomo and released a stream of water, one that managed to reach a full fifteen meters away. He was going to go the full distance at first, but had thought against the idea. He could do such a thing later on in the day. Somewhat satisfied with his result, the youth turned to face his instructor with a small grin plastered on his face.

"How was that?" he asked.

[Just gonna claim Water Trumpet now.]

"Not half bad. Now let us take a moment to test the power of your new jutsu." With little warning she fired a second stream. Her hands never moved to seal the jutsu, the only Indication possible being the suggestion of a strength test and the molding of her chakra which lie invisible beneath the sakura corp savar suit. Her lips parted a second time and from then flowed a stream of water at full power this time, moving directly towards Mugen at a speed and strength of fourty due to her powerful chakra.

Naturally she had little actual interest in the boy, only in reminding her that these tools she practiced were meant to kill. Beneath the stream of water moving towards Mugen flowed a small line of shadow. With the water trumpet she'd used shadow imitation solely to get a but of her power over there just in case. It would zip over to Mugen much faster then the water, at a speed of ninety five. It would reach him much quicker, latching onto his shadow but not restricting his movement before climbing quickly up his leg and torso like a black snake. If Mugen failed to perform the technique in time her imitation would become a shield, shooting out from his chest to protect him from the jutsu

She was sorely disappointed to see the water crash down upon him, pushing against her shield to spray off to the sides with a violent force. She had hoped for so much more from a ninja trained in yuki village but was as usual left wanting. "Unfortunate. Learn what I have taught you child and see me when your power is of worth to me. Let this be a goal of yours." With that she was gone with a single body flicker, her presence seeming almost like a dream.

Mugen heard Kira's words, but didn't understand what she meant by testing it's power. The more imaginative side of him wandered off into random thoughts and ideas. Maybe they were going to clash with their jutsu, or even have a small battle against one another? To be honest, he didn't want to be tested, he hated tests. They were annoying and simply troublesome. Unfortunately, he did know they were needed from time to time. Once he saw another stream of water erupt for Kiranomo's mouth, he prepared to go through the required hand seals for Water Trumpet one last time. Luckily, he was naturally swift, but would his technique be powerful enough to counter the one heading straight towards him? He'd need to form the hand seals in time to truly find out.

However, he suddenly faltered. He stumbled in his seal forming, and bent one of his fingers in an incorrect position. Mugen immediately noticed this and went to fix his mistake, but the water was too fast. Right before the liquid could hit him, though, something shielded him. From what he could see, it was made out of shadows. How was that possible? The youth stared as a few droplets of water managed to hit his hair and face. Actually, the question wasn't how he was protected from getting hit with the jutsu. It was how he happened to mess up something so simple, so basic. Mugen frowned in displeasure and stared at his palms, allowing the things Kira said to pass through one of his ears and out the other.

He wasn't focused on what she had to say about the scene, he was only focused on his little slip. So, after she left, the boy growled in slight anger. He was upset with himself. He needed more practice. Mugen then grudgingly left the training grounds, kicking the dirt as he walked, having thoughts of returning home soon to train properly.
