Multiple reasons (Training)
Tue Dec 09, 2014 1:00 pm
Within the mountains, days after his encounter with the crafty shinobi he spared with, he walks along the ridge path set before him. This path being made of many planks of wood, stretching many meters ahead of him, suspending over heaven itself, the cloud below move at a sloth’s pace. This scenery being the norm, due to the beautiful setting of kumogakure, the harsh winds brush against the wandering shinobi’s face, his brown bladed hair swaying back as he continued pressing on, unfazed. He was used to this type of weather, for he had trained and lived in this sort of climate for many years. The light blue sky, separating his world below, and the mysterious space and beyond from above, was a blue as the sea, much like his own eyes as well. He steps across the bridge, finally reaching the end, for he has returned to his familiar site, the large feathers of the primordial beast still remain, a marker indicating that he was in the right place. Turn back towards the bridge he recently crossed, looking downwards, he views all that there was too see. The peaks of mountains barely pierce the cloudy surface below, the small moving images raise up towards the sky even further, gaining size with every second. Finally, their song could be heard, the streak of a thousand birds filled the air, the flaps of their wings heard with every flap. The Bird Sanctuary had never changed, nor had he, he was glad to be home.
He had really come here to test his FTG abilities, to see how far he could jump. The range seemed endless. He was equipped with only one kunai. Though, he wished he had brought more, or had some way to create more on the spot.
Ganki, dressed in his standard three piece navy buy suit and tie, he continues to look out more towards the heavens. His more mature look makes him more of a model, than shinobi. His fine features could woo any woman he set his eyes upon. His blue eyes shine upon the light, but squint more towards the east of him, for something else had caught his attention. A figure over yonder closed in on his position, but at a distance where he could keep his form for a while, to contemplate on what he should do next. His single left hand, remained in his left pocket, he leans forward till finally, he became less tense. Indeed, it was a friend. The large oncoming object which he noted to be a bird among the many before, came closer to the point where it swooped up high upper wards with incredible acceleration. Finally, it swooped over Ganki, landing behind him 10 meters away. Ganki turns towards it, gazing upon the bird with familiarity. “Is that…”, Ganki was interrupted by his long past friend. “Yeah, of course it is, im surprised you even remember me, you never bother to visit. Look at you, you’ve changed quite a bit.” Rotoi eyed Ganki up and down. He noted how he has also changed, much less active then his past former self. Ganki was indeed more mature. Ganki took more steps towards Rotoi, “Yeah, im sorry about that, I know I spent a little too much time away, but I’ve been busy. Man, have you’ve grown….”, Ganki looks towards Rotoi with concern.Rotoi halts Ganki’s progression towards her, he jolts his head down with speed, his beak striking the hard ground beneath them, without hurting Ganki in anyway. However, Ganki leaped backwards, while remaining on the ledge for he was mindful of the edge behind him. Rotoi speaks with concern, for the new he was about to tell him, would be a bit of bad news.
“Ganki, you truly don’t understand. Ozai, he has forsaken you. You have been away for a long time, without retaining any contact with the Sanctuary. You haven’t even bothered to summon any of birds you made a contract with. In fact, Ozai has…, “frozen” your contract. As of now, you are unable to use any of our people, to aid you. You are simply an exile to us now. In fact, Ozai took it to great lengths to cut your powers, your sage mode will not active.” Rotoi remained silent, making sure that Ganki understood his situation, his eyes sharpen towards Ganki, “You, are not welcome here anymore…”, his tone before was serious, however, his last statement was made with his telepathic powers, for they have grown much more powerful than before. Rotoi, no longer need physical contact to use his abilities, he was clearly on a new level of power than before, his new size added proof to that.
Ganki could not believe what he had heard, what was coming from Rotoi. What was he to him now, and enemy? Ganki’s expression was shockingly coated with fright, which he shifted to a stern look. “Rotoi, wait a minute. What has happened?” Rotoi retorted quickly, spreading his wings with while hunching over in a somewhat attacking position. “You…, have overstepped your boundaries, you have five seconds to leave, before I take hostile actions”, he lets out a loud roar before moving slightly to the left, in attempts to block Ganki from the cliff, cornering him for an assault.
"Hostile what? Rotoi!?!?”, he yelled, before hearing the loud roar. Ganki dashed towards the bridge, in an attempt to make a run for it, but the large bird rose into the sky, to lengths high enough for him to shift his body downwards. Yes, the bird proceeds to nose dive down towards Ganki. Breaking the bridge, and taking Ganki out altogether, but, Ganki was not about to go out like that, so easily. Still perplexed and confused about how Rotoi turned on him so quickly, he was give a small window to react, regardless of the amazing speed Rotoi possessed. No longer was he that small owl he met when he was younger. Ganki created his violet seal within the palm of his hand, allowing the sharp edge steel blade to Passover from its mysterious dimension, slowing extending outwards till the hilt fully crossed over and landed into Ganki’s right hand. Of course, this happened fast enough for him to get a good grip on his special blade, and swipe upwards towards Rotoi’s head, slicing it apart horizontally, no matter how much Ganki would regret this, however, he would not. Rotoi’s reflexes were on par with his speed, the bird only need to make a little adjustment with his left wing, altering his path to maneuver out of the sword slash attack. At least the bridge was destroyed, which Ganki himself began to plummet downwards along with Rotoi. As he fell, Rotoi making adjustments to regain height, Ganki took that chance, and seized the opportunity to latch on to Rotoi’s back feathers, for he was close enough to do so. With Rotoi, the two soared high into the air, the wind slamming into Ganki’s face with strength due to Rotoi’s speed.
In that action, Ganki noticed that all the other birds kept to themselves, which ganki found strange. Why was that so? Was Rotoi so powerful, so strong, that Ganki was nothing more of a bug to them, that their attention was above focusing on Ganki?
"You leave me no choice, Exile!” Rotoi spun violently upwards, barrel rolling to shake ganki off, leaving him helpless high above the ground. But, Ganki had foreseen this, and coated himself with an armor of electricity, flowing his chidori current into Rotoi, surging him with a large amount of power. Rotoi slowed his movement, the surge causing his muscles to tighten up. Ganki, let go, and weaved a few hand signs, sending a large intangible seal towards Rotoi. He pulls a kunai, which he marked with his FTG seal. The large seal, within range of Rotoi, materialized into a solid disc, and sprouted large bars that surrounded paralyzed bird. The bars enclosed the bird into the cage, falling downwards wards to an off side peak, as well as the kunai which Ganki threw with great speed and strength. The kunai beats the falling cage down to the vacant peak, which Ganki teleported too as soon as it stuck itself to the ground. Afterwards, arriving to the kunai, his hand summoned to the hilt of the kunai, which he lifted from the ground with his left hand. The cage plummets down 20 meters away from Ganki, smashing in to the ground. Rotoi moans as the pain spreads, “You have no clue, what situation you are in. You left us, we brought you in, we gave you power. AND WHAT DO YOU DO!!!!? You forsaken us, all who did no wrong to you.” Rotoi’s eyes struggle to maintain focus on Ganki. Ganki, who walked closer, hesitantly. “You Leave!!! Leave now!!!”, Ganki stopped any movement forward. He opened his mouth, but said no words. It wasn’t cause he physically couldn’t, he tried, but he just couldn’t make the words. So full of remorse ganki was, he did abandon them, never gave them any thought of mind. But how could he have made time to see them, he was too busy drowning in all the work which was demanded from his family business. Much stress it caused, learning the ropes, inheriting the trade. His sword dissolved into purples shards of light, vanishing right after. His kunai was thrown right below, using his great strength, the weapon dug deep within the hard ground, only showing the ring section of the knife sticking ou of the ground, after plowing through the dirt.
With a sigh, the surrounding birds making sounds that seemed familiar to Ganki, he jolts to the left of the peak, leaping great distances with his strength, leaping peak to peak. He avoids the occupied ones, to stay away from any more confrontations, as he did not want to start another fight with his beloved birds he still held feels for. He wished he had brought more kunai, so that he could place marked kunai along the various peaks. The next thing was, what would he do now? He wanted to travel towards the center of the sanctuary, but that would be a death trap. If Rotoi, the once calm and analytical bird could harbor such hateful feels towards Ganki, he could only imagine what Ozai thought of him. Ganki stopped upon the peak he landed on. he stood very still, still as the stone he stood upon. He gather nature energy from his surroundings, but could not morph into his Sage Bird Mode, no matter how hard he tried. It seemed to be true, he was indeed cut off by Ozai, his powers were no more. Come to think of it, Ganki never used his form in actual combat, nor had he used it in quite sometime. What a waste, he never even took advantage of such great power he once held. This, was a difficult situation.
"What now?" Ganki releases tension within his body, his dress jacket slight swaying in the wind as he stood there, wondering. Suddenly, the ground began to rubble, it shook violently, so much, that Ganki feel to his knees. What was this? He scanned his surroundings. A shadow engulfed his area, it first started out small, a dot. But then it grew bigger, and bigger, till finally in that instant, he turns around to only meet the claws of a giant creature grasp on to his body so quick, that he was knocked uncoucious by the swift attack. Within the two claws of the giant thunder bird, he was carried off, to a place where only the creature new, Ganki was now captured, with a fate unknown.
The loud screams of the birds woke Ganki, his eyes were heavy. With his lids half open, he attempted to move, but could not fully adjust his arms. He was in the grasp of a giant claw, armed with sharp razor talons. His face was pressed against the ground floor, his body horizontal. “Oh yeah, that’s right, I got blindsided…”, as he spoke, his vision corrected itself from its blurry view. He was surrounded, by a flock of thunderbirds. The flock circled around him, some in the sky, and some on the ground. But suddenly, the flock split off, as three other being approached. Two overly large thunder birds, the size of buildings, like the many other birds, made their way over to Ganki, escorting the normal sized bird to him. Ganki knew who this was, the one who taught him about the sage Art, the one that took him and and taught him about the cloud village’s history and secrets.. “Ozai…”, he mutter, which soon falled by a grunt of pain, the grip that was fastened to his body tighten a lot more. Ozai, the lord of all Thunder birds, spoke as he reached Ganki, now but a few feet away. “And so, you return. The traitor. How long has it been Ganki, since you have last seen us? You forsake us for this long, only to choose to return back to us? Or is it, because I cut you off from our Sage Art?” Ozai had cut ganki off from the sage art due to his absence, and due to his wounded heart. He saw so much potential in Ganki, since he is the second human to had gain the powers of the Thunder birds, through the sage mode. The thunder birds were very picky when revealing their secret Arts to anyone. Ganki looked up, eyeing Ozai, “look, im sorry Ozai, there had been so much going on in the village. My father, the kage, everything. I even became a Anbu to-“ “You became a traitor to us, which you will pay dearly for.” He paused for a brief moment, and spoke with a lower tone, a tone his fellow flock had never heard in a long time, due to Ganki’s absence. “I cared for you Ganki, I took you in, gave you power, and knowledge so old, that they think it to be mere legend. But what I see before me, what I used to watch over from the clouds above, is a worthless human, who must be put down.”
“Ozai wait, listen to me, what I did was wrong. I should have made time for you. But…”, he was interrupted again, but this time by one of Ozai’s guards. “But what, money? We know. We’ve seen what you have done in your spare time. You sit In your office, counting money, smoking, wasting all the time you have of he this world, and not once since you dedicated an second of thought or time into using our knowledge. No my dear shinobi, it is too late. For you, dooms day is today”, the surrounding birds screamed with rage. Ganki knew it, he struggled with great strength, but could not free himself from the bird’s grip. Ozai caught this attempt, “Enough!!”, the crowd was now silent. Ozai stared deeped into Ganki’s eyes, “Since you were the second sage of the thunder birds, I will grant you a chance to fend for your life, before I rip it out of you. Ganki, You and I will fight, to the death, now”, Ozai flew off, with the rest of his flock, Ganki was hoisted away as well, as they all traveled to the peak where they would do battle.
Moments later, Ganki found himself hovering over a flat peak, where he was released from the giant talon grip, falling down towards the setting, not too far, only 10 feet above. As he dropped, managed to land on his two feet. His ANBU training served him well, his tolerance for pain was well above others. He still wore his dress suit, now standing near the edge of a 20 diameter flat peak. Across from him, Ozai hovered. “Prepare yourself”, he said. Ganki laughed a bit, really, a bird? Ozai was not even as big as his henchmen, for he was a regular sized bird. “Really Ozai? Your no bigger than tweety, ill take you down without killing, and after that, we are done. And no coming after me while Im in the village either. Ganki reached into his pocket, and gathered his lone kunai, now gripped within his right hand, he marks itwith his FTG seal.. Ozai on the other hand, had a bit more tricks than Ganki knew. His form suddenly grew bright, the light nearly blinded ganki. But, just as it appeared it vanished, only leaving a kneeling middle aged man. Ozai rose to his feet, his body was well toned, as it was armored. His lower half was armored with grey steel, while his upper body was bar, except for his right arm, which was covered in plates on steel. “No Ganki, no more games!!!”, he said, as he rushed towards Ganki with blazing speed, Ganki tossed the kunai towards Ozai, attempting to hit him, though, as expected, Ozai swiped the kunai off to the side away from him with his armored arm. And with the same arm he intended to strike Ganki with a quick close line attack. But, as Ozai came inches away from touching Ganki, Ganki vanished from sight, shocking Ozai. Ganki was not positioned behind Ozai. “You ok there Ozai, look kind of slow there old man”, Ganki continued to taught the man. Ozai turned around, flexing his shoulders as a surge of energe spawned from his back. A loud crack came from his back, as two huge wings of energy formed, not stretched out, the birds of the mountains bowed their beaks towards Ozai. Ganki never knew he could do that, but no matter, Ganki flicked the kunai that he teleported to within his hands, trying to come up with a strategy. Ozai was gonna over power him sooner or later. Ganki was only armed with one kunai, which he wished he brought more with him. If only he could make more of them. “what am I gonna do…”, he whisper to himself. he then decided to summon Rotoi, with his help, maybe he could clear this up, however, upon biting his finger, the blood trickling down, he remember why he couldn’t do it. Ozai spoke upon seeing this, “I don’t think so Ganki, don’t you get it boy. You are cut off from my flock, your blood contact has been destroyed, you are one of us no more. He swiped his energy wings upwards, sending needles, made of energy, up high in the sky, only to make their way downwards towards Ganki’s location. Ganki had to thin o something fast, his left hand surged with great power, as he too swiped it towards the oncoming blades, making the chidori needles slam into the other needles, destroying them in the process. What Ganki needed, was more kunai, so that he could take Ozai down without killing him. But how? Ganki then thought of something, something he should have thought of from the beginning. Ganki placed the kunai in his moved and weaved a set of handsigns, which included the shadow clone jutsu, after which, he grabbed the kunai from his mouth, and tossed it towards ozai. Ozai knew what he was trying to do, launched himself into the air, hovering over the area. However, the kunai then multiplied, which now turned into 7 other kunai for Ganki to use, each branded with a FTG seal. This was perfect. Ganki’s form was then covered with a green veil, which alos gave him wings much like Ozai’s. Ozai rose a single eye brow. So you did use our knowledge, and made a second had version of it. He looks off to the side to his people, Ganki, took off. He flew low at first, so low, that he grabbed a single kunai off the ground, and ascended upwards towards Ozai. He meet some resistance, the same needle attack that he used the last time, was used again, but ganki maneuvered out of the barrage. He reached Ozai, as he grabbed onto him, with his great strength, he pulled them down, towards the flat peak, attempting to slam him into the ground. But, Ozai was strong as well, to the point that he was able to break free of his grip, however, they were near the ground, inches above the ground where Ganki could go all out.
Ozai, stabilizing himself, Ganki teleported to a nearby kunai, where he attacked Ozai from behind, a switch kick was all he did, for about 11 times. Whenever Ozai tried to block, he was instantly attacked from another size. Ganki’s speed was way too quick for Ozai to keep up. After which he stopped, “had enough?”, he said, while seeing Ozai knee down in defeat, so it seemed. “Ozai, released a large amount of energy, that surged from his body, much like one of Ganki’s chidori techniques. It managed to catch ganki off guard, with Ozai seizing the moment, and grasping ganki’s by the throat. Ozai held Ganki off the ground, with him struggling to be let go. “Finally, your time has come ganki, any last words?”, Ganki stared into Ozai’s eyes. If you want to kill me, you wont be just taking me down, you will be destroying your legacy.” Ozai looked confused; did Ganki refer to him as his legacy? “No no, Ganki, you are not my legacy. You abandoned us- “Nope, just distracted you”, he said, while activating his chidori current which surged along the surface of ganki’s and now Ozai’s body. Ozai then became so numb, that he lost hs ability to stand, then, Ganki, still armed with the kunai, tossed it up in the air, and weaved the same set of hand signs as before, the kunai now multiplied again, now forming 30 kunai which would soon fall straight to the ground. Ganki used his FTG seal , which was placed on himself, to summon his armor, which amazed Ozai, had Ganki kept up with his customs this whole time? The armor was covered with various seals, and the large feathers that proved that Ganki did not completely forsake the thunder birds. Ganki, now armed with his FTG armor, hoisted Ozai up, holding him up towards the kunai that were now about to fall. “Now this is the deal, you give up, I stop the attack, and promise to visit here WHEN I HAVE TIME!! You can’t get mad at me when I just started living life.” Ozai, seemingly defeated, vanished from Ganki’s grip, shards of chakra were all that was left in his place. Stunned, Ganki too vanished from his position, now placed on top of the barrage of kunai in the sky, now flying above them as they aimed towards the ground. Ozai, was above him, which Ganki noticed as he looked up just as he teleported. “I see, then you are exiled from this place, banished. The aid of my people our reserved for those that are worthy”, Ozai looks down upon him with a stern look. But really, obviously, he threw the fight. It seems that he still had a soft spot for Ganki after all. Ganki nodded, as he too flew away, far from the peaks, un harmed by the many giant. “Thanks Ozai, for everything…”, he vanished from their great view.
Before he left the mountains completely, looking down from the sky, he held within his hand the lone kunai that he brought. Marked, he tossed it below into the great mountains. His new talent that he learned during his fight with Ozai would come in handy with his own special talent. Being able to make shadow clones of kunai was a useful trick. Flying into the setting, he vanished from sight, now within his office, which also as marked with his FTG seal, he sits down and rest for a bit. What now he thought? He looks down towards his desk, marking his entire desk with FTG seals playful as he thought what to do.
