Trying To Be a Genin?
Fri Feb 20, 2015 7:28 pm
The young Senju ninja stared hard at the ground, trying to gain focus and remember the way the tiger hand sign looked, all the while flexing his fingers, trying to get them to remember a simple formation. "Ram, Snake, Tiger." Tamoten muttered to himself, but he could barely form Ram without his fingers slipping up, causing him to feel like a failure of a ninja. The Senju clapped his hands together a few times, before taking a deep breath. "... Clone formation jutsu!" He said, before perfectly forming the Ram and Snake signs, before he slipped his fingers, causing nothing to happen except for a look of pure pain to cross the academy ninja's face. "... Damn." He muttered, the first words other than Ram, Snake, or Tiger that he had muttered all day. Finally, he stood up, thinking. 'Maybe, as a start,' He thought to himself, 'I should get my mind off of it.'
Agreeing with himself that a distraction might help him regain focus and become less stressed. Bouncing up and down, Tamoten started to run, in a random direction, keeping his pace as fast as he could without it being a full on sprint, and before long, he reached his house. Panting heavily, the ninja walked into his house, and turned off the lights, pouring himself a glass of water and taking a long drink from it, before picking up a water bottle and putting it in a small bag of his and walking out of his house, bouncing again, and running back to his location in the immense Konoha forest, sitting on a rock, and thinking about the Clone Technique again.
Ram, Snake, Tiger. Ram, Snake, Tiger. Tamoten rubbed his wrists gently, clapping his hands together, and forming the hand signs required for the technique he had to master fluidly, grinning. 'It looks like it did help...' He thought, and he happily rubbed his hands together, cracking his knuckles, and trying again, He could easily form the hand signs, but now he had to work on channeling the chakra into it, so he could make a clone. Tamoten stood up, hopefully, for the final time. "Clone jutsu." He said, and formed the hand signs, before a perfect clone of him formed right in front of him, causing him to jump back in surprise, breaking the jutsu. Exited, and overjoyed, the young shinobi tried again, but this time, the clone flickered and died within a few seconds, causing the previous excitement the shinobi held to dissipate.
"This is it..." He mumbled to himself, bouncing on his heels, before slapping his hand together a few times, letting the burning feeling dissapear before trying again. "Clone formation jutsu!" He said, forming Ram, Snake, then Tiger in perfect formation, before channeling his chakra, forming a perfect clone of himself, which stared at him blankly, causing him to happily jump in the air, while the clone stayed, doing the same as he did. Looking at it curiously, he began moving around, interested at the clone's range of motion. It seemed to be exactly as he was. Walking towards it, he punched it as hard as he could, and flinched, but his hand went right through it, as if he was simply punching air, and the clone dissipated, causing Tamo to ponder what had just happened, and how he could use it to his advantage in battle. Shrugging it off for now, he decided he should head home and take a shower before getting out to train his next ability, the Transformation Technique.
Walking casually back to his place, Tamoten began to think about what becoming a Genin would do for his future. Looking up into the sky, he noticed that it was beginning to get dark. "Maybe..." He muttered, "I should just... Leave..." He said, and looked around the town. It didn't seem like many people were here, and as for the few people who were, nobody talked to him. He was mostly alone. Shaking off the feeling of growing loneliness, he began sprinting back to his house, the wind blowing his hair back, and causing his eyes to water, before he reached his house.
He opened his door quickly, slipping inside as night began to fall. The shinobi locked his door, kicking it to make sure it was shut, before moving to his small bathroom and turning the shower on. Touching the water, he shakes his hand off, as it was freezing, and he tried again, grinning. He hopped in the shower, and shuddered at the heat, wiping his eyes lightly and looking up into the stream, staying this way as the water slowly relaxed him. Rubbing his hands together, he decided to practice the Transformation technique, while he was comfortable. He was familiar with the Ram, but he still had some trouble with the Dog and Boar. Practicing for the remainder of his shower, Tamoten felt like he had gotten Boar down, but Dog still have him trouble.
Hopping out of the shower, Tamoten wrapped himself in a towel before moving into his bedroom, searching through his drawers and pulling on a clean pair of clothes, the shirt having a small Senju clan symbol on his chest. He usually wore this shirt casually, but he was proud of the Senju symbol, as it was of his clan. Glancing over to a picture of his family, Tamoten sat down, and began practicing for the technique he was learning, messing around with Boar a bit more to boost his confidence before trying Dog, repeatedly, until he could do it, albeit sloppily. "What can I turn into?" Tamoten clapped his hands together, and made a 'poof' noise with his cheeks, before taking a deep breath, and concentrating his flow of chakra. Forming the Dog sign, then the Boar, then the Ram, he had turned himself into his teenage crush, just about a perfect replica, even on an uncomfortable level. "Uhh..." Tamoten said, blushing, looking down to be met with boobs. Quickly turning back, he scratched the back of his head. "I'll uh..." He muttered, but one thing was clear. He had learned both of the techniques required to become a Genin!
