Ah, so she wanted to learn Ninjutsu, at least a bit, from him? That explained some things quite a bit. Though what she said had him curious. "Well, to say i'm 'skilled' would be a bit of a stretch, but I know a thing or two. So, where to start is really the question here. I'm proficient in water and lightning ninjutsu. The base point with it is..." Altar would stop, questioning his own rushing ahead. Perhaps he should take Youta's own knowledge into account here. She was no fool, not by any means. "Well, okay, firstly how much do you already know about Ninjutsu? We'll work from there, and build to what you want to learn later." Altar would say, awaiting an answer.

Once the girl answered, Altar would continue on. "Well you must already know that Ninjutsu is basically taking elements and shaping and forming them to benefit you in a fight, whether it be as an attack, a defense or a technique of any other kind. I myself base on attack styled ninjutsu, such as Suidanha or Chidori." Altar would say, letting some lightning gather on his hand before dissipating it, in a manner of showing Youta the technique itself.

"So, i'm gonna have you do this the same way the guy that taught me to do it had me do it." Altar would say, thankful for the mist and it's ever present supply of water, no matter how miniscule. "I want you to, with all the energy and gusto possible, try and shape the water in the mist around us into an orb. Like so." Altar would say, demonstrating. After forming the orb, Altar would let it drop and turn to Youta, nodding at her.

The female Rentei would listen to the boy. It made her slightly happy to hear that he also had the water element and even his other element of lightning was close, in a manner of speaking, to her wind. When asked what she already knows about Ninjutsu Youta would give a quick summary of her knowledge. "Ninjutsu uses chakra, usually elemental chakra, to generate techniques. The base principles of water and wind elements are known to me." As she finished he would expand a little on it, saying that Ninjutsu could be used to defend or attack. Honestly, it wouldn't be anything she had not already known. But after that Altar would demonstrate a lightning jutsu by gathering quite an impressive amount of chakra in his hand to the point of it being visible to the naked eye. With a nod she would accept his chosen method of teaching. Raising both hands before her Youta would close her eyes for a moment and reach out with her mind and her chakra to the water all around them, the tiny droplets in the air, the water of the mists. Before long the space between her palms would begin to attract and gather the water. It was much easier than she expected, maybe because she already had the experience with the element. Regardless she chose not to force it but to gather it slowly. Opening her eyes once again the girl would look at the slowly expanding orb and smile at Altar. "So, who was it that taught you this way?"

Altar would give a wry smile as the girl beside him formed the simple orb he had asked for fairly easily. Simple enough, he supposed. Though actual jutsu were much, much harder to control, as he had learned the hard way.

"Very good, Youta! You'd be amazed at how long it took me to master this. I was so nervous I almost shocked the water. There's a vast difference between lightning and water. Lightning is so...volatile, stiff, violent. It's like me, whereas water is more like you. It flows in beautiful streams, lithe and graceful, but deadly all the same." Altar would say, looking to Youta and smiling a bit wider after finishing his tangent. "Ah, and it was actually Haru that taught me this. He's taught me a lot of things I know."

As the orb expanded more and more, Altar would start to think over just what he could show the girl. All thoughts of relationship status between the two was gone from his mind, at least for the time being. Still, after that comment she made...maybe he'd have to think about dying his hair back.

Altar would look to Youta again. "So now that you have a decent sized orb, I want you to start moving it around. Keep it in it's shape, and move it through these hoops." Altar would say, forming hoops of various sizes at various locations in a sort of pseudo obstacle course. Youta seemed to be catching on fairly quickly, which made him happy. "By the way, is there anything in specific you'd like to learn? Any certain jutsu you've heard of?"

The female Jounin would smile and slightly blush at her comparison with the element of water and the subtle compliments that came with it. With when the next sentence came and the name of her former sensei Haru was mentioned, her hands would shiver and the sphere of water would start dripping water, losing some volume. She could feel the conflict and how distracted her mind became. Haru was one of the few people from Tengakure who she used to respect a lot, he was the one who told her about Yozora's death and where her body was, he helped her recover from the trauma inflicted by Takeo and helped her train to become who she was now. And yet, with what Xyxer had revealed to her, this man was as two faced and treacherous as one could get, for according to her Kage he was the one responsible for the death of her master. Which means all else that followed must have been his scheme as well, their friendship fake and he might possibly even revealed Yozora's location to her on purpose, to get her killed.

The pieces of Youta's mind one by one would come into place as she forced her will, from disorganized thoughts about her sensei to being focused on orb of water before her Youta could feel the sphere's form nearly failing. Her eyes would narrow as she struggled to maintain it. Hopefully the boy next to her would not have noticed this. By the time Altar had made the hoops for her to move the orb through Youta would have stabilized and even returned the orb back to the size it was before. Extending her arms a little she would have the ball of water slowly float forth, towards the nearest hoop and through it. The success of it encouraging her a bit she would let it go further and through the other hoops. She would completely fail to react to his question.

The farther the sphere of water floated from her, the deeper Youta delved into her thoughts. This whole situation with Haru really bothered her. Especially because it could all be a lie. But she was not willing to take the chance and confront Haru herself, not yet. She needed to become stronger. As she was manipulating the water through the hoops made by Altar, her dragon would open his eyes to look at the scene. It seemed this training interested him, after all he was a dragon of wind and water, so it was his element. This image was even more enhanced by the fact that the mist inhaled by the dragon would come out of his nose thicker and colder. If one did not any better and saw this scene, they might believe that dragon was responsible for the veil that shrouded the village.

Finally feeling she got the hang of it, Youta would quite visibly smile. She was controlling the water with her right hand extended. Now she would pull it back, pulling the sphere with it. Quickly picking up speed the ball of water would zoom through the hoops. Then she would punch it and the water would splatter in all directions but only for a moment. Because the next moment Youta's chakra which was in each drop of it would make it stop, suspending each drop that was in the sphere before she shattered it in the air. She would keep it hanging for a minute, or less, creating a rather unique atmosphere, even Cael seemed impressed. Then she'd relax and it would rain down to the grass, where the water would return to the nature. After this the mist around here seemed a bit lighter, but the girl knew it was only a matter of time. With Altar's previous words missed she would assume he did not have anything else to teach and taking his lack of response to her actions.. well, in her own way, Youta decided it was enough for this meeting. At least the next time they meet, she might be able to play it by his rules.

Calling Cael to follow her, the female Jounin would lean towards Altar and kiss him in the cheek. "Thanks for teaching me." Then she would vanish in the misty night again.

Altar would simply stand, dumbstruck at what had just happened. The girl had once again bested him at what he considered himself good at. Perhaps the girl was the one he had always been told to find. His equal.

However, the most unexpected event was the kiss on the cheek. That had him more dumbstruck than anything else. He... could get used to that. Very used to it. Though, he'd need to find ways to earn it, he supposed. But those were thoughts for another time. For a while, Altar would just stand there, hand on his cheek and a stupid grin plastered across his face. But after the shock and joy left his body, he was left only with the cool air around him. And with that as his companion rather than Youta, he made his way home.
