Lightning jutsu training(open-all are welcome)

Ryugia lay in the shade under a tree, quietly, and thoughtfully reading a scroll on all things lightning style. He was trying to find a good jutsu to start with. Fire style had always been the symbol of the uchiha, and though he was sure he had it, he also had an affinity for lightning style. He wanted to get a few good justu down before he formed a genin team. He wasn't sure who he would form a team with yet, but  he knew that he wanted to be strong and ready. One day they would take  the chunin exams together, and he wanted to be ready for anything. Besides he still hadn't activated his sharingan. He sighed. He looked down at the scroll he had. "Hmmm lightning style Raikyu(Lightning sphere) looks good. The user after weiving the required hand signs, puts his hands together, with his thumbs touching, forming a diamond between them. A ball of electricity is gathered here, which is fired at the opponent. level on makes a ball between the two hands, level 2 a ball can be formed in each, and level three more than two can be formed around the user. The balls travel at medium speed, and burst on contact, shocking the opponent, and any close to him up to five meters. Those not damaged directly receive minimum damage. I think I'll try this one."

Amaya yawned as she headed through the training grounds. She had been up all night sowing a stylized seven into her coat and now she was looking for a good place to train. She saw a boy laying under a tree, reading what looked like a jutsu scroll. Deciding to continue working on her people skills, she walked over to him. "Hey there, i'm looking for a training partner, if you have anything interesting your trying to learn."
She felt her use of the word interesting was a tad pretentious, but hopefully he didn't take it the wrong way.

Salzem had just completed his regular rounds of Taijutsu training. On instinct, he was heading home to rest when reality struck him. His father was no longer there to greet him, and his mother's visit was still months away yet. Despite his introverted personality, he was not looking forward to the empty manor that was his home. While exiting the grounds, He saw two genin together, talking. One was a boy, holding a scroll. Most likely used for jutsu learning. The other was a girl, seemingly looking for a partner. This might be the excuse he was looking for. Salzem walked over to them, shy as ever. 
"I hope you don't mind..." Salzem spoke. "But may I train with you?"

Ryugia looks up from his scroll. "Oh hi," he says smiling, but caught off guard. "Yea sure if you need a partner I am totally up for it. I recently graduated from the academy, so I really want to train this lightning style jutsu." Ryugia shifts his gaze to a boy who had come  up behind them and asked to train as well. "Of course! I didn't expect more people, but the more the merrier. Do you guys already have genin squads? Also what are your natural elements? We could even work on co op drills, and tai jutsu. The day is still young, and we have time to kill. The jutsu I am looking at is called Raikyu. It is the lightning ball technique. I brought some other scrolls too though that you guys could look through. There are some for all element types." I lay the Raikyu scroll out, and pull a few more scrolls from my bag out and set them down as well. "What do you guys want to do?"

Amaya gave the other boy a nod of acknowledgment, and hearing that he was training lightning techniques, knew this would be a good person to train with. "I am on team 7 with Jonin Hisano. Oh and my element is lightning as well, though I am better at space/time jutsu at the very moment." 
She hadn't been quite focusing on her elemental studies because she felt her space time techniques would end up better anyway, though that could always be proven wrong. "I am not very good at any of the higher level lightning techniques, but if you wanna practice the lower ones I can help."

Salzem was taken aback by the enthusiasm in the boy's voice and the many questions he asked. Salzem adjusted his respirator mask and prepared to answer the boy's question.
"Ah... well.... My name is Salzem Alagahara. I belong to no squad and I am a taijutsu specialist. My element is water." Salzem spoke quietly, trying to keep himself in check. He was getting better at controlling his demons but they get the better of him every once in a while. He looked at the both of them and bowed slightly.
"Truly, a pleasure." Salzem said. "Perhaps we can have a taijutsu free-for-all later today."

(Question for Ishhin. How did you know Ryu was an Uchiha? Slightly Meta considering it wasn't stated by either of you whether Ryu had any defining Uchiha traits.)

Amaya would smile at his question, and decided to show what it was as an example. As Ryu would reach to pick up his bag, She would form the rat sign, and a golden glow would outline the bag. It would move slightly out of his reach at a speed of 10. "Space/Time jutsu is any technique that changes the world around you, whether it be moving an item around without any help, or teleporting. Currently all I can do is this shift jutsu, but some are really powerful."

As she said this, a piece of bark flew past her at remarkable speed, faster then the young genin could do anything but see where it was going. She would turn on her heels, looking for the culprit, her violet eyes seemed to glow in her anger at someone attempting to hurt her new friend. She considered calling for her instructor, who no doubt was around here somewhere, but she didn't know if this was a threat or just a bully.

Salzem blinked, taken off guard by the boy's question.
"Uh... well, I was poisoned when I was young, making my lungs useless. This mask helps me breath. I can go without it for about half an hour before it becomes a danger." Salzem's ears twitched. He heard something... Suddenly, a an object in the vague shape of a kunai flew out of a tree, aimed the other boy. Salzem slammed his hands together in the Ram sign. He used the Body Flicker (Speed 68) and stepped into the path of the incoming attack. He snatched the object out of the air (Strength 25 Speed 38) with his right hand. It seemed to be a piece of bark, fashioned into a kunai knife. Salzem crushed the wood in his grip, his red eyes glinted darkly. He scanned the tree line, looking for any movement. If he couldn't find the attacker this way, he would go searching. There is little Salzem hates more than bullies.
