Changing Aftermath [solo,nk]

Well, that was that. A few hours ago, Kanae had witnessed the destruction of everything good that she knew. Now, she was sitting on a bench in the darkened hall of the academy, the ninja academy. Well... she needed to do something. Get her mind off of this... event. Otherwise she would go absolutely insane. She got up, and walked outside, heading to the courtyard. When she got there, the cool air caressed her face, which was still slightly wet from tears. The feeling wasn’t comforting, instead, it was actually rather chilling. She shivered slightly, and that’s when she noticed that snow was lightly falling over the area.
She really needed a distraction other than this snow, so she headed back inside, to the gym. There was one more jutsu that she absolutely needed to learn, and that was the transformation jutsu. The ability to become, or at the very least look like someone else… that was so valuable tactically, but Kanae could hardly focus on that. She could only think about the fire that had destroyed everything… and that woman, with the confident smirk on her face, who had seemingly started the fire. She could probably have easily incinerated or snapped Kanae’s neck at that moment, then escaped. Why did she not?
Kanae knew that she was probably blessed to live. However, her only thought now was on learning the jutsu. With this, she could get more power, more information from her teachers. Maybe, after she got strong enough, she could hunt down that woman and kill her herself. The window reflected Kanae’s face, the sharingan, the doujutsu that she now possessed, showing red in the window pane. Exactly what could these eyes do? Looking around her, she noticed that the eyes could see chakra… but not much else. Maybe she had to wait.
Well, the transformation jutsu was a good one. She prepared her chakra, focusing in on her goal. She found, of course, that this one was more difficult. It wasn’t as if using chakra to make one’s own form different was going to be easy, but Kanae was having a difficult time concentrating. She needed to settle on a form that she knew… one that she could keep in mind for a while…
That woman.
She didn’t want to, but for the success of the jutsu, it seemed that it would be necessary. Especially after minutes of fruitless trying with other forms, among which included a kunai, a fluffy grey kitten, and a large wooden chair. Well, here went. She performed the three handseals for the transformation jutsu, dog, boar, then ram. As she did so, her hands were shaking slightly. She was just now coming out of her shock, her blood circulating normally once more. This made her pale cheeks flush slightly in the cold. The chakra within her cycled faster, as its flow in the meridian sped up as she performed the jutsu. And just like that… she transformed. Her new form caused her to blink… how strange.
Dispersing the jutsu. She sat down on a bench. No more tears, now, she thought to herself. If learning jutsu like this was that easy, then she would have no problems getting to genin. She clenched her fist, unconsciously clenching her teeth at the same time. She realized then that she had been holding her breath the whole time. Well, that was a mistake. She took a deep breath in, then out, relaxing. Walking back inside, she passed that mysterious custodian, who nodded silently. Did he approve of her fast learning? Or was it something else?
