A demon... what did this mean? Kozata had no idea that demons were an actual thing that existed. In that case... he knew that he had to start questioning everything he knew. Even the being within himself could be something else entirely... not just something created by a mixture of his own mind and DNA. Even the mansion itself didn't know what its own past was... perhaps it had lost that along the way somewhere. In that case... he would have to quest somewhere to find out what these things that were happening to him really came from. Maybe he had come from one of those two villages... Kumo, the cloud village and...
Funka.
The volcano village seemed particularly scary to his mind, like it carried some unconscious fear for him that he was not quite able to define. Lava could be scary, he supposed. Especially if it was creeping toward you, and it was impossible for you to avoid it... kind of like end of the year exams. Dangerous and unavoidable. Attempting to escape would only get you wrecked. The inevitability could destroy a person, like a strong man snapping an HB pencil... if that meant anything at all.
"I see, Lord Kage... that will be all. Thank you for your time." With that, Kozata would leave, picking up the body with him. As he did so, he felt a strange pulse of dark chakra. What was this? Was his body somehow attempting to interact with the dead corpse of the konoha ninja? No... the mansion was trying to. What was he trying to do? Was he trying to send a message to him? Something about.... well, he would have to wait and get outside to see. As soon as he got outside, he felt much more at ease... like a nice cinder block had just been removed from his tired, aching shoulders. He had just seen and met with the Mizukage of the village... and lived! Amazing. Looking up at the sky, he noted the time. He hadn't spent that long in there at all. The sun had barely moved a few degrees in the sky. He headed home, and started digging the grave. It was harder than he had expected, as it seemed the earth of his back yard was pretty tough. Perhaps someone with earth release would have had an easier time of it, but Kozata had the fire element.
Sooner or later, however, he had succeeded in making a neat grave, nice and rectangular. He lowered the body in gently (the Kage had said to be respectful, after all, despite the boy's obvious weakness back in the Land of Fire when they had fought). He sighed, then started to shovel the dirt back in. At that moment, he realized that the mansion had been trying to get his attention. It felt like a pressing force against his mind. He turned on his inner self angrily, questioning it as to its intentions.
What... was this? It had the whole seal that he had just been thinking about in mind, its pattern being simple enough (merely an eight pointed star). Yes... with these, he would be able to destroy anyone who stood in the path of his becoming the perfect ninja for Kiri. He clenched his fist, and felt the yuumei within him pulse, attempting to form into the pattern he desired. So close... he was almost to the goal.
