Mouse among monsters

Edge carefully made his way to the training grounds, trying to avoid anyone else. He wasn't really in the mood for dealing with people he didn't have a reason to care about, plus there was always the chance that someone had gone completely crazy and would attack him if he got too close. Once he felt he was secure he relaxed a bit and started looking at his checklist of things he needed to learn to be able to fight low level enemies and become a Genin. His first focus for now would be training his body. Edge took a deep breath and started jogging around the training grounds. Every five minutes he would begin running as fast as he could for one minute then begin jogging again, gently working on his speed and stamina.

Fenris sort of just wandered through the town at the moment. Though having found some new clothes he didn't quite look as homeless as he was. His hands in his pockets, he noticed a boy jogging around the training grounds, training or something. Fenris made a decision to try and be more social, and attempt to remove his memory issues, so starting here would be good. Once Fenris was in the view of the boy, he waved once, a simple hello, and called out. "Yo! Need any help training?"
It was tough to put on a sort of fake personality, but it was neccesary. No one wanted to be helped by a zombie, so he'd do his best to act normal.

Edge glanced over his shoulder when he noticed something rather... colorful following behind him. He looked at the person jogging behind him and shrugged, making a mental note that someone was behind him. Continuing his jogging he soon saw someone waving to him. Deciding it was probably best to be polite he slowed down as he waved in return and drew nearer. "Hello. I was just doing some running, but I'm not onne to make a habit of turning down help when I can get it." Edge smiled a bit and came to a stop, with his hand outstretched for a shake, "My name is Edge Nara. So far it's been nice to meet you." While greeting this person, he still kept a look out in his peripheral vision for the person who had followed him a bit, wondering if it was just a coincidence, or if the... pink hoodie person was in fact following him.

Eiatsu would watch silently as the second boy showed up. He looked somewhat familiar. The girl would adjust her hood as she watched him before slowly remembering who he was. That was one of her cousins, right? He wasn't a pure blooded Uchiha like she was, but he was still related to her- even if he didn't go by the name Uchiha. As the blond boy approached the black haired boy, Eiatsu watched curiously, continuing to job behind them, stopping to stretch when they stopped to talk. Over all, she was keeping her distance, but the girl was definitely following them out of curiousity.

Fenris either did not notice the girl, or didn't seem to mind as the boy made his greeting. "I am a relatively new Genin myself, so we can spar, or we can just practice together, Whichever sounds best for you."
Fenris himself hadn't totally decided what role he would fill in the life of a ninja, but he knew that having teammates was important so he would have to figure out how to work with people and not just go on his daily stroll of..well ignoring people.

Edge felt a small surge of reassurance at the blond genin's word. If he was truly new like he said he was, then Edge would have no worries about getting attacked by him. The quiet pink hoodie person still concerned him slightly, but he had this Genin to use as a meat shield if he needed to. With any luck, that wouldn't happen. "Well, I'm just an academy student myself. I kind of... avoiding ninja stuff for awhile. But can't be lazy forever. It's probably kind of boring for you, but could you give me a hand learning the basic stuff? I'll be able to get the stupid exams out of the way and join your ranks faster if I can have a demonstration or some tips."

Eiatsu rolled her shoulders as she watched them, now obviously looking at them. The girl would sigh deeply as she looked at them. The two of them were older than her, she knew that much. Yet, they were both so... pathetic. That was the only word she could come up for them. Something about them just being so casual bothered her. Maybe it was because they had lives relaxed enough to have not graduated from the academy at the age of twelve. Approaching them, Eiatsu kept up a light jog, only stopping in front of them to speak.
”Hey, you two need more than just sparring with other weaklings.” The girl would stop in front of Edge, her eyes narrowing like daggers. "Listen up you little shit, if you feel so casual about being a shinobi, enough that you want to just 'avoid ninja stuff for a while', then go sign up to be turned into one of our vigilant citizens out in the toxic fields because your lazy ass is going to get someone killed." Her words were cold and firm. There wasn't anger. It was as if she was simply stating facts about why the sky was blue.

Fenris sort of jumped in suprise at the girls words, and wondered what she was seemingly so agitated about. No reason to talk to the boy like that, as he had said he had stuff to learn, but perhaps Fenris had missed something. Tone and meaning were occasionally lost on him, but sparring may not be super helpful in this situation. He looked at the girl with a sort of blank expression. "The clone jutsu, and the substitution jutsu aren't always good things to use in combat at higher levels. Sparring to learn those techniques would be odd because I would be looking for them, and he wouldn't get a good idea of how they worked in battle."
His calm explanation would hopefully calm the girl from her angry words, but he hoped he didn't just make it worse.

Edge would visibly wince when the girl started yelling, and if one watched carefully to their surroundings, they would be able to see his shadow's edge temporarily grow bumpy and wavy like a surprised cat's fur standing on end. As she finished talking his shadow would return to normal and Edge would sigh, bringing his right hand up and scratching the side of his head. "Wow, harsh words from someone younger than me. Can't say that's what I was hoping for today. I do kind of deserve it though." Edge would shrug indifferently as he continued. "And I guess this place going to hell and back was bound to make some tough kids like you. So that's a positive. Back before everything changed the village seemed safe enough that I thought they wouldn't need me. Then when I got back, well, maybe if I had done my training and stuff, maybe things could have been different." Edge would nod slightly and take a deep breath. "So, now I have to same choice to make and I'm picking the other option. Time will see what effects it will cause. As for getting some one killed... Well, avoiding casualties will be my number one goal on a team, so don't worry, I won't just walk around while someone's trying to kill you. I just need some training so I can become strong enough to help." Edge would smile slightly at the girl, hoping to have calmed her accusiveness down or at least talked enough to make her shut up and think about what he said for a bit.
He would then step to the side to get a better view of Fenris. "As for sparring, you're probably right. I don't think sparring would be the best way to learn those. And until I get my body into better shape I'm afraid I won't be much of a physical challenge. But if you can just show me the moves so I have a clearer idea of what I'm doing, I'll get them down quickly and then I'll be able to start working on some different things so sparring will be interesting."
