Weapons... are not Medicine (Stein and Salzem) - Page 2 Empty Re: Weapons... are not Medicine (Stein and Salzem)

Sun Jun 28, 2015 8:25 pm
Salzem was surprised that he and Stein ended up mimicking eachother again. This seemed to be reminiscent of a style of story telling with over the top fighting and almost equal choice of movements combined with the fact they were not even trying. Salzem was even more surprised as Stein threw the sword back to him. Salzem redirected the blade with his own, causing it to go spinning into the air. Then in one swift movement, Salzem would reach his other hand out and pull the Katana off his back and toss it to into the air. He would then catch the One-Winged angel as it went down with his free hand, jerking his head down fast, lowering his mask. Then as the Katana came down, He reached out with his neck, teeth closing around the Katana's hilt. This was done in one swift movement as Stein summoned his earthen staff. If this didn't signify that particular brand of story-telling, he didn't know what. Salzem raised his two keyblades so that the blades were placed upside down behind the mouth-sword. He didn't have much practice in this particular Santoryu technique, but there was no time like the present. He paused for a moment before hissing through his clenched teeth and sword.

Weapons... are not Medicine (Stein and Salzem) - Page 2 Empty Re: Weapons... are not Medicine (Stein and Salzem)

Sun Jun 28, 2015 9:01 pm
Stein would take the offensive this time, charging in, and getting within reach with his staff fully extended he would then let his staff slide fully into his right hand and began to swing up at Salzem's left hip, his own left hand moving to the staff to keep it stable as well as pushing it up so that if it hit the hip it would then shoot up for the armpit of the left arm, Stein would then see If he was parried, blocked or dodged.

If Stein was parried he would of course counter how he must, the most likely parry was to push him away or to just barely dodge and push the staff more, either way Stein would let the momentum carry him and spin him around for a hit on the side he was spun to, only aiming for the hip though.

If Stein was blocked and stopped completely, he would pull the Staff up in his hands and then spin the staff around his back, keeping its momentum going as long as possible, before having the staff come up with the end in his right hand, and his left hand holding it about half way, this would give a sturdy hit, if not stopped again.

If Stein is dodged, He would aim a quick thrust with the staff towards Salzem, aiming for center chest, and then as he pulled away, he would let his grip loosen only enough to allow the staff to slide in his hand so that the second lunge forward, the staff would shoot forward aiming for the same spot as last time, the very end of the staff in his right hand, his upper body bent forward, his arms both straightened out, giving the Staff as much momentum and force as possible, but not enough to harm Salzem.

Weapons... are not Medicine (Stein and Salzem) - Page 2 Empty Re: Weapons... are not Medicine (Stein and Salzem)

Salzem snarled as stein went in for a quick stab at his left side. It was clearly out of the range of his swords, however, he had a plan to deal with spears and their thrusting attacks. As the point closed in on it's target, Salzem jumped up, feet risen about two-three inches above the weapon. He would then push his legs down, slamming the point down and bringing the base out of Stein's grip and up to slam him in the chin. Should this be successful, Salzem would dash forward, crossing his arms over his chest and lowering his head.

"Oni..." Salzem would growl through his sword as he closed in. If done masterfully, this technique could cut through a person as if they were nothing but air. Seeing as Salzem was just learning this style of fighting, The wound inflicted would most likely be nothing more than a 'X' shaped cut that wouldn't cut past the ribs.
"Giri!" Salzem would growl out as he uncrossed his arms to in a 'X' Slash. Following this X, Salzem would twist his head so that the Katana was placed horizontally down the middle of the X, adding to the power. this technique, also known as the Demon Slash, was meant to kill one opponent and if mastered, could go through steel, shattering it like cheep tavern glass. This whole attack would most likely go through if his spear-trick worked.

Weapons... are not Medicine (Stein and Salzem) - Page 2 Empty Re: Weapons... are not Medicine (Stein and Salzem)

Salzem must not have aimed right or something, cause as he came down from his jump he landed on Stein's Staff alright, his balls smashing right into them, Stein would let go of the staff just as it happened, and the staff would pop up, stein leaning back a bit and ducking down, if not stopped the other end of the staff would smack Salzem in the face, meanwhile at the same time that Stein leaned back and ducked to dodge the end of the staff coming up from his hands, he made the seal of confrontation, making a seal on the ground two meters all the way around, and then Stein would roll backwards out of the seal.

If both of the hits had hit Salzem Stein would have enough time to pull this all off, and Stein would stand up, huffing slightly as he deactivated his Stiches, and he would nod to Salzem "You alright there buddy? Need some help?" Stein had put up the Barrier confining seal to help let Salzem know the spar was over, one of them got hurt, in steins opinion rather seriously so too, He waited to see if Salzem was ready just to talk yet or if he was going to be in a blind rage after what he did to himself.

Weapons... are not Medicine (Stein and Salzem) - Page 2 Empty Re: Weapons... are not Medicine (Stein and Salzem)

Salzem shouldn't have misjudged the distance between his feet and the pole, however a throb in his chest managed to distract him just enough to cause his concentration to waver, in turn making his crotch come into contact with the stone pole. There was pain, but nothing he had not felt before. He leaped back as soon as his feet touched ground, breathing hard from the pain. It was embarrassing more than painful, to land like an idiot, to incapacitate one's self showed incompetence. He showed a moment of weakness that would've very well killed him in a real fight. Salzem slipped his key-blades into their holsters on his sides before taking the katana out of his mouth and slipping it into the sheath on his back. He was not angry at his opponent. On the contrary. Stein fought to the best of his ability and was worthy of a weapon's specialist. Salzem, on the other hand, had shown his lack of skill and dexterity by that foolish jump. Salzem slipped his mask back over his face which showed little more than disgust in himself.

"You have won, Stein. Congratulations, and no. The only thing hurt here was my dignity." Salzem weaved the hands for the Chakra Anesthetic, his fingers glowing with blue flames as he completed the seals. He would jam his fingers into his neck, injecting his chakra into his nervous system, dulling the pain almost as quickly as it had came. If there was nothing else, Salzem would head on back home. The Anesthetic should last till then. The pain he would suffer would serve as a lesson: no more foolish, childish stunts. Much discipline was seen is his future and the masked, young chuunin would welcome it with open arms.

Stein would nod, as he would turn to walk away he would tell Salzem while waving over his back "Don't know what your talking about, I saw nothing" and Stein would head back towards where the weird kid was with the cave, his chakra signature hidden now as not to be followed, his Experienced Hearing being used to listen for someone if they were following

Weapons... are not Medicine (Stein and Salzem) - Page 2 Empty Re: Weapons... are not Medicine (Stein and Salzem)

Salzem nodded in appreciation at Stein's subtle promise to not let anyone in on his disgrace. He would head back home through the trees, keeping off the main path as much as possible as to avoid any others coming out to train. He would head back to the academy to thank his teachers again for the use of their training dummies. Through out his journey through the trees, Salzem thought about the fight and how many other ways it would have gone if his hadn't made that one, stupid mistake. He shook his head, freeing it from such thoughts. he needed not to dwell on such things. He looked up at the sun. It was setting. Supposed it was time for some sleep. He was tired, exhausted and shamed. How could he have let himself fall like that in battle. Such a disgraceful way to lose. Salzem tried to clear his head, but the thoughts kept coming. How could he have avoided it? Simple. Went to the side instead! He was trying to be cool. Cool got him hurt. That wasn't going to happen... again....
