Hikari's Genin Exam! ^^

Hikari was very excited for her Genin exam, having waited her whole life to becoming a ninja. She cheerfully walked into the exam room, a smile gracing her lips, and said proudly, "Hello. My name is Hikari Hyuuga and I am here to take the genin exams!"

The Proctor entered the room with a spring in her step. It had been a good morning so far. Her coffee was warm, the sky was sunny but not too hot and to top it of, she had found a lovely tulip on her desk upon first arriving to the academy. Now she entered the examination room with a smile on her face, brushing her dark red hair behind her ears as she spoke.

"Hi there, I'll be your proctor today. Please perform the transformation and clone technique and explain its basis as well as you can understand them."

Hikari was relieved to see that the proctor, who had just entered the room, of the exam seemed like a very nice person, which calmed her nerves a little bit. She noted that the proctor was smiling, a sign that she was in a good mood, and that she also had dark red hair, which Hikari thought looked very nice on the woman. Why am I nervous about this exam, I was trained very well by Mitsui, and even the academy sensei taught us well too. Mitsui said I would do great! So don't mess up because you are nervous, I would never let myself live that down if I did.


She took a deep breath to calm her nerves, and so she could get started with explaining the jutsu.  "First, there is the Clone Technique. This ninjutsu allows the user to create an exact copy of themselves, but they can only make a maximum of two clones. These clones do not have the ability to attack and they disperse once they get damaged, so they are best used to trick the enemy while the real you attacks with another jutsu." Hikari decided it would be best to show the technique she just talked about, instead of also talking about the Transformation jutsu and then doing both jutsu.

Closing her eyes to focus her chakra, Hikari inhaled and exhaled. She knew she was ready to become a Genin, knew it was all up to these two jutsu to decide. It wasn't fate, she noted, because she could control her fate, not the jutsu. She knew she had practiced enough times that she didn't need to worry. Once she had built up and focused the right amount of chakra, she opened her eyes, did the correct handsigns, and said, "Clone Jutsu!"

There was white, puffy smoke that eventually cleared to show not one but two clones that were exact mirror images of Hikari. She looked over at the clones, making her hand wave to see if they copied her. They did. "See, the clones can mimic your movements. This is what can help trick an enemy. Although I am not sure a high leveled ninja would get so easily tricked by an E rank jutsu."After speaking, she then glanced at the proctor to see their reaction. Darn it, I can't read their face! I hope that was good enough to pass me. If not, I'll just have to try even harder! Wait! Wait...am I supposed to transform into her for my Transformation jutsu? I think so...oh boy...I hope I can do that, last time I only practiced with mom. Hikari nervously gulped, her thoughts getting her worried about the second jutsu of the exam: the Transformation jutsu.

Dispersing the jutsu made both of the clones disappear. "Next is the Transformation Technique. This ninjutsu allows the user to transform into anything that they picture in their head, as long as it does not exceed the size of a human. This jutsu is considered to be one of the hardest E rank jutsu to learn because not only must you have the image of the person in mind, you must also have a constant emission of chakra to keep the jutsu going." It is a good thing I payed attention during class when sensei told us about these jutsu, otherwise I would not have known what to say.


For this jutsu especially, Hikari had to close her eyes to concentrate on the image that she wanted to transform into. Be the proctor, transform your white hair into dark red, your face into that of hers. You can do this. It is why they test you! Believing that she had the right image in her mind, Hikari opened her eyes to double check. Nodding slightly to herself at having the correct image, she got to her focusing her chakra. Once she was ready, she started her handsigns. Dog. Boar. Ram.

"Transformation jutsu!" She was instantly enveloped in the same white smoke as earlier. When it cleared however, there was not a 4'9 white haired and white girl, but a tall, 5'5 dark red haired woman. Looking down at herself, a small smile crept up on her face. "I did it!" She shouted excitedly, happy she was able to execute both the jutsu without any major flaws.

"This is fun! I like transforming into people!" She told the proctor, hoping that she would mind her comments. It was something she just wanted to say. "Oh! Well I guess I should transform into someone else, that way I can prove my skill to you!" Hikari released the transformation jutsu, and thought to herself about who she should transform into next.

"Now I shall be transforming into the man who taught me these jutsu, Mitsui!" She closed her eyes, focused on the image of him, and concentrated her chakra. This time, she knew and had the confidence to say that she was ready. Again she did the handsigns and said, "Transform!" After the usual smoke disappeared, there was a man about 6 foot tall with dark brown hair standing in the room. She spun around a little bit, showing she could move and do normal things with the transformation. After a couple of minutes she decided to dispeared the jutsu, coming back to her real self.

With a large, happy grin on her face, Hikari had only one question to ask her proctor, "So...did I pass? If so, when can I get my official Leaf shinobi headband?" She was very excited, knowing that she had most likely passed the exam, with not really any doubts in her mind.

"Very well done." The proctor praised, moving to an assortment of Konoha headbands laid out to the site. Picking one up, she held it out to the girl. "You are now a Genin of the Leaf, make us all proud." And with that, she patted the young genin and left the room
