The docks can be fun
Sun Aug 02, 2015 6:08 pm
The day was like any other day but it wasn't at the same time. Today was the day Goon had decided he wanted to take a sip of the pirate life. This realization sprung on him the night before, he was reading a book about some guy named davey something. The guy was lost at see but it seemed he lived a fun, exciting life. One different from a ninja, Goon knew there were pirates and mercenaries that roamed the seas. Hitting the trade ship coming to and from the islands of Kirigakure, but they were never sought out. The mizukage had more to worry about than trade ships getting sacked. Plus it was a shinobi's duty to protect the village and the people in it, while it was the kage's duty to protect them all. Maybe if this was to prove more problematic and a greater threat the Mizukage would allow it to bother his time. Goon on the other hand, was not going to allow it to become any further than it already was. He did not want to criminals to get too comfortable or view the village as weak, nor did he want to bother the Mizukage with such minuscule drivel. This was something any normal shinobi could handle. So, Goon knew he had to bring these bastards down, for one simple reason, "Ya do NOT fuck with Kiri." That was where these people had failed, so Goon left his headband at home. He did not wanna scare these guys a way, no he needed them to convey a message for him. That message was to make sure no one planned on doing it again. If Goon would heard anything about ships getting sacked again, he would personally meet them and put them in a very happy place. This happy place being death, one free of the world's vice for greed. Not only that Goon wanted to explore the other islands of the sea, it seemed a good chunk of them had no records. So there had to be some nice things on the islands. So he also needed a ship and a crew, even though they would only live for so long after the commandeering.
Anyways back to Goon, who at the time, had been walking around the docks for sometime. Just waiting for the slightest instance or evidence of someone ransacking one of the ships. It was part of his duty as loyal Shinobi to handle said problems. That is what he planned on doing, in his own sick little twisted way. It seemed to be a lost cause, Goon had not heard anything About these "pirates". He looked up towards the sun, it was about high noon, He was able to tell by judging the Sun's placement and using his fingers to count how many hours had passed. But in the end to him it was 6'o'clock, it was always 6. He had spent a few hours at docks but no word on anything, it seemed these guys had people too scared to speak. Goon had asked around over and over, again and again, and still nothing. It was all getting very frustrating, but Goon kept himself in a calm, collect manner. He stayed his regular emotionless self, no one could tell what he was thinking. They could not even tell if he was a ninja, cause he himself portrayed someone looking for their brother, "who was on a ship that never returned from its drop." A good cover, when he asked people, he faked emotions of sadness and grief, even shed a tear or two. But still that showed nothing, there was more than one way to skin a cat.
So it seemed he had to take other measures, to find out some form of information. Nothing new but he had given himself an "A" for effort, at least. Oh but these people causing this trouble, would end up paying in an uncontrollable wrath, that they would not be able to fathom. One that would bring mass death and destruction, making women widows, and children without a parent. But that was cost of what they were doing, and they were going to pay the ultimate price, their lives. Irritation and lack of sleep was not a good combination for Goon, it caused him become a deadly person. These people were stealing out the mouths of Kiri's citizens, this was basically just asking for their death, no matter what drove them to it. That part did not and would not matter to Goon. why? you might ask cause he didn't care for excuses. If you did anything in life, no matter what it was good or bad, you better be ready to pay the piper. The piper this time being Goon, the payment being death.
Goon casually strolled the docks, taking in the sounds of the water crashing against beams and sides, the gulls squawking loud and very annoying. The people chattering, and the workers working, there was even a few harlots propositioning the men of the sea, for a good time. Nothing was out of ordinary, Goon strolled until he met his destination. A small little rundown pub, named the "Devil's Water", a fitting name for a pub. The building was breaking apart, shingles falling and busted Windows, it was an eyesore in the least. But the people of the docks and sailor loved and enjoyed it very much. Goon stopped at the big, black, iron door, it had a sign posted on it that read, "Arrrrr ya tuff enuff". Whoever wrote was either drunk or stupid, but that was not Goon's place to judge. Maybe they wanted it spelled that, maybe not who knows. There was hardly any sound coming from out of the pub, which was odd for a bar but Goon had to check all his leads. Goon grabbed the handle of the door and pulled like any normal person. But the door pulled only a little, before it slammed back shut. Goon was surprised he was not expecting that to happen. The sign on the door was meant to keep the weak out it seemed, he was beginning to like this place. So he did what most would not have done, and pulled the door using a majority of his strength. The door had swung open like any door this time, but Goon had to put a little extra oomph in to it causing the door's hinges to pull from the wall.
An array of music, people talking, shouting, and laughing hit Goon's ear but that came to stop as soon as they heard and seen the door. The smell of old fish, stale air, smoke, and beer both fresh and stale itself, hit his nose. Everybody stopped what they were doing and turned to stare at him. It was a creepy thing, that would have been awkward for most people, but Goon was a special case of oerson, one that did not let things like that bother him. So he just put on his best Sunday smile, which he disliked doing most of the time, and spoke loudly. "Ummm, I think you need a new door. I am not a specialist but I think it is broken." Followed by a chuckle, he did not really care if he pissed anyone off or upset them or scared them for that matter. They should not have made a test door like that, it was bad enough that Goon was already annoyed, breaking the door helped him lose some his stress for the day because he knew more would be coming. So you got to make room for more, right? Goon thought so anyways.
"You fucking piece of shit," a random voice from among the crowd, that was stuck in awe. Goon's condescending smile seemed to be pissing people off. He took approximately three and a half steps forward before he felt a sense of warmth, and what could be considered pain. A fist had come flying for him it had a little bit of power, but not much, it caused his head to turn slighlty and a fire to light in his eyes. Why couldn't people just be nice for a few moments, at the least share a few words before trying to blindside someone. No they just had to be rude, now he had to fight. He was trying to wait for after a drink and gaining some information before fighting. But no, people just loved to poke a bull. Now it was time to unleash it.
"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. You'll have to do better than that to hurt me." Maddohatta spoke in a monotonous, dark voice, slowly turning his head, pushing the fist on his face slowly away. "Now you're making me get off script, jump starting the avoidable. I only wanted to talk but now I guess you force my hand." Goon's demeanor, after finishing his words, changed to one of ruthlessness. He grabbed the arm of the fist on his face, the guy stunned by Goon's lack of pain. He contorted the arm of the man, the man looked fearful at Goon. It was a weird thing one that made people interesting. Goon had contorted the arm until he heard a snap. Then proceeded to pick him up by the underneath of his arms, and checked him across the room. The man went crashing into the a few tables, knocking them over, and into a few people who became very disgruntled afterwards. Goon moved closer to the bar, he only wanted to get to the beautiful, well-fit, and curvaceous bartender. She was pale, had red hair, very petit, and looked very out of place, but it was simple to tell that there was more to her than meets the eye.
"Where do you think you are going? You are not welcome here, this a place for the men of the sea." Three burly men step in front of Goon. One had his hand laid his hand on Goon's chest, stopping him from moving any further. "You are out numbered here, so you might wanna get your smiling ass OUT OF HERE." Rage was in the guys voice. Yes it was true that Goon was outnumbered and yes it was true that Goon wasn't a man of the sea. But did these people really think they were going to stop him from doing what he wanted in his village. They had another thing coming, and they were not going to like it. "I strongly suggest, that you remove your hand or I shall remove it for you." Goon's words provoked a rise out of the man. "What you gonna do about it, smiles?" One thing Goon hated was being called smiles, that was the name of a clown, and he was not a clown. The time for words was at its end, Goon descended into his madness quickly, through the annoyance, the searching, and the overall tiredness. He didn't have time for lowly men to think they were big and bad, he would have to show them his place.
No words left Goon's mouth this time, he just moved, a look of fear came across the men's face, as the misty blue aura engulfed him. He grabbed the man's hand that was touching his chest and with a quick twist, followed by a snap instead of a popped. The man's bones popped through his skin, followed by a gush of blood. The movement went quick. The guy didn't even feel the pain until a few moments after the fact. This was not good, as it seemed even more people were joining the fight. It seemed Goon had started a good old-fashioned bar room brawl. It was time for the fun to begin, a punch came at Goon, but he was backing up anyways, the punch sailed past Goon, missing him completely. But Goon knew never to leave your back open in a brawl, some people were sneaky bastards, and next thing ya know, bam, a knife in your back. So it looked like Goon had a few thing to take care of, this was gonna be fun.
"You all jump to the occasion, but how many of ya have the true skill to take me down, kill me, or throw me out. I guess we will see who is superior." Darkness was Goon's demeanor this time, he didn't care if he had to slaughter the people, he would just attempt to control himself, to avoid it. Death was nothing new to him, but he had to put his assassin ways behind him for now. Or else getting information would take even longer.
There was about ten people, joining the three in the fight, one of the guys was definitely out of it. Screaming in agony over the pain of his broken arm. Goon had heard something about him being a demon and to kill him. Followed by an array of swords leaving their sheathes, bottles breaking, and chairs being broken into clubs. Oh this was truly gonna be a fun one now. It's been a while since Goon had thrown himself into a pit of death. Fun times he used to have but those are stores for another. He had to focused on what was in front of him, though he was skilled, didn't mean that they couldn't kill him. So he had a fight to handle, it seemed they were stuck in a Mexican standoff at the moment. Goon would keep ushering them to come forward, but they stayed still. This was getting Goon no wheres so it seemed he'd had to continue making the first move, there was a small chunk of rock around that he picked up quickly. He then performed a one handed tiger seal, he didn't know if it was going to work but it was worth the shot. Within a moment the rock elongated into that of the form of a staff. He needed a weapon of his to counter theirs. He never had a thing for swords, mainly seeing them as a means to counter someone physical weakness. This was not the case for all though, some were wonderful with a sword. While others needed sense beat in to them. Goon preferred fist and kivks, over slashes and stabs. Made it a hell of a lot more personal.
So now Goon had a weapon to fight with, and another ace up his sleeve. Holding the full tiger seal he felt around and grabbed as many of the patrons chakra. It seemed he was able to grab about five of them which wasn't to bad to say the least, dropped the number from twelve to seven. They didn't know it yet but they would know it soon enough. Goon wasted no time after he used the temporary paralysis technique, he moved with such grace and speed that the men didn't know what to do. The five men he had grabbed were the first ones he'd go for, but he grabbed them at random. It did not really matter, who he had grabbed it all would lead to the same thing. Goon bobbed and weaved through the men, each taking a swing at him as he made his way through. These men were not as skilled as they tried to make themselves seemed, such a shame no challenge.
Well, this was gonna be a short lived fight, but hell it was a little bit entertaining. One of them that swung a broken chair leg at Goon, came close to actually hitting him. Goon had used the guy's own motion against him, pushing the man's arm away. Making him a guy with a sword. Goon's staff had met the face of three out of five of the paralyzed men. They were out of commission all the men were frustrating, no challenge sucked for Goon. He wanted more, but sadly the fight only lasted a few minutes longer than he wanted, writhing five minutes, the bar looked like a tornado had hit it. That and it had blood, groans of pain, and a bunch of men on the ground. Goon just smiled and walked to the bar asking for asking for a three finger rum, dirty. After he chugged his drink down he asked the bartender about the many ship disappearances and the such of the where they most likely hit.
The bartender knew a lot as most did. Best spots for information was bars. "What's your interest in this anyways, most are too scared to go out anymore?" She had asked him which he followed up with, "I'm planning on making them a worry of the past." and with a smile just left the bar, he planned on returning at some point but for now he had to head home and get some rest and research done.
